A peaceful day at the School of Friendship, and in the School's courtyard. The Crusaders were on top of Applebloom with Scootaloo on top. And Scootaloo reach for a ledge.
"Almost... there." Scootaloo reaching.
She finally grabs the ledge, and the 3 are balanced.
"Ah! I can't wait!" Applebloom excitedly. "Twilight's school is supposed to be amazin' inside!"
"Rarity says there's never been a school like it!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"I heard the students get to do tons of awesome stuff." Scootaloo pulling up straight.
"Do ya see anything yet?" Applebloom asked.
Scootaloo looks inside of a closet. "Uh, yeah. It looks like a broom! And a dustpan and some buckets."
"That sounds like a closet." Sweetie Belle said.
"Try another window." Applebloom suggested.
Then they tilted over to the next window showing Pinkie's class.
"Whoa." Scootaloo in awe.
"Whooooo's ready for cupcakes?!" Pinkie called.
She bounced around the class giving cupcakes to the students. Gallus and Rex licked their lips and opened up to take a bite.
But then Pinkie bounced on their heads, stopping them. "Oh, they're not you, silly. They're for sharing!" She then bounced off them. "First, say something nice like this." She then approached Ocellus, you are a great listener!" She then handed another cupcake to her. "Now you can keep one cupcake and share one with another creature."
Ocellus nodded and turned to Yona. "Yona, you're really strong!"
She then tossed a cupcake to Yona, and caught in her mouth. But lands on top of Pinkie as the tray, and the tray was into Rex's face leaving a face dent of him as backs up quickly into the window and fell right outside and cause the Crusaders to lose balance to fall.
"I'm okay!" Rex called.
The Crusaders looked up, and then saw Butterflies as they Fluttershy's class was above them.
"All right, students!" Fluttershy called. "It's time to meet some new friends!"
The students chatter in excitement, and Jr had a butterfly landing on her snout. And Apato had them all over his back.
"Incomin'!" Applejack's voice called.
The Crusaders rushed over to Applejack's class, and their Applejack and her class were playing buckball. And the ball was pass over to each student, and Scar made the finish pass with a tail swap, and the ball hits in the bucket.
"That's friendship in action, y'all!" Said Applejack.
"Wow! And I thought our school was fun!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"Yeah! Ms. Cheerilee never let us play buckball in class." Scootaloo said. "I know. I've tried."
"Hey! Why don't we go here instead?" Applebloom said. "It's still school, right?"
The 3 then hoof fived each other. And headed off.
Alpplebloom sighs happily. "What could be better than learnin' friendship with your best friends?"
"Learning friendship with your best friends... and cake!" Pinkie poking out of a bush and slams her face into a tray of cupcakes.
The Crusaders laughed.
In Twilight's classroom, Twilight clears her throat getting the student's attention.
"Good morning, class." Twilight said. "Today, we're going to learn about friendship through the ages." She then turn to Spike. "Spike, slide one, please."
Spike turns on the projector.
"Back in the days of Chancellor Puddinghead..." Twilight saw a wing shaped shadow blocking the picture. "Uh, Spike?"
"Huh?" Spike turn to her, and notice his wing open. "Sorry, Twilight. Still getting used to my new wings. They're pretty great, huh?"
"yes, Spike. As I was saying..." Twilight then notice the Crusaders in 3 empty desk with happy smiles. "Huh?"
"What are you 3 doing here?" Twilight asked.
"We wanna go to your school!" Said Applebloom.
"But why?"
"We wanna learn friendship!" Sweetie Belle smiled.
"And play buckball!" Scootaloo said.
"Uh, everyone plays buckball." Jr said.
"I see." Twilight said. "Why don't 3 come with me? Spike, you're in charge."
"Yes!" Spike excitedly.
Twilight and the Crusaders stepped outside.
And the Starlight appeared. "Hi, Twilight! Looks like you could use a guidance counselor's help! Hint, hint."
"Nos thanks, Starlight." Twilight assured. "I've got this."
"Great." Starlight sadly. "Well, I'll just... go dust my office for the 70th time." She then walks away.
When she was gone, Twilight turns back to the Crusaders. "I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but... you can't be my students."
"Why not?" Sweetie Belle sadly.
"Isn't this place for everycreature?" Scootaloo asked.
"Yes, but we teach friendship lessons here." Twilight added. "You already know all about helping ponies in need and being there for each other."
"Can't you just give us a chance?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaase?" The Crusaders begged.
"You need Cheerilee's classes, not mine." Said Twilight. "Hurry up. You don't want late marks on your permanent record." She then opens the door, but found Spike teaching the class some kind of dragon announe.
"O dragon! My dragon!"
"Spike?!" Twilight worried. "What did you do?"
Spike lands and laughs nervously, and Twilight closed the door.
Meanwhile, the Crusaders disappointed walked.
"Well, I'm not giving up!" Scootaloo said firmly. "I know we can prove we belong in this school!"
"Yeah!" Sweetie Belle said. "Um... how?"
"By showin' Twilight we've still got lots to learn about friendship." Said Applebloom. "And I know just where to start."
At Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack was at the field. And then she stepped in something.
"What in tarnation?" Applejack lifting her hoof covered and smashed apple.
She then saw most of the place a complete mess. She then noticed Applebloom reading by a tree nearby. And then she went over to her sister.
"Applebloom!" You know better than to leave our good tools out like that!" Applejack said. "And aren't you supposed to be on harvest duty?"
"Eh, it's not like the apples are goin' anywhere." Applebloom said in a deadpan expression.
Applejack stammered. "What's gotten into you? Those chores are your responsibility! Farm work is family work!"
Sorry, Applejack." Applebloom turned to her. "Maybe if I went to Twilight's school, I'd learn to be better at helpin' the family." She smiled innocently, and blinked.
Applejack realized what she was up to. "Ahhh. So that's what this is all about. Well, if it's learnin' you want, I'd be happy to give you a private lesson right now... Startin' with cleanin' up all this equipment!"
"Hmph!" Applebloom being outsmarted.
Meanwhile, Rarity was working on a hat design. And having help with a Microraptor holding the hat slightly up.
"Now, hold still." Rarity carefully placing the pin in place.
"Please can I go to Twilight's school?!" Sweetie suddenly appeared.
Rarity jumped from that, and jabs the pin into the model's head. And the Micoraptor jumps back and ripped the hat shade with his claw.
Rarity sighs and then heads over to her supply bin, and then Sweetie Belle held on to her back right hoof.
"Please?" Sweetie Belle begged.
Rarity soon shakes her sister off, and got to her bin.
"Please?!" Sweetie Belle popped out.
"I'm going to call you "Reapeatie Belle"!" Rarity losing her patience with her. "We've been through this! Please let me concentrate!"
She then turned away.
"How 'bout now?!" Sweetie Belle appeared in front of her.
At this point, Rarity is losing her patience.
Meanwhile, Rainbow was telling her class a story.
"So there I was, leading the Wonderbolt formation into a super dangerous Sundown Spiral, when suddenly..." She then flew around making whooshing sounds. "There was a huge storm cloud in your way!"
"What happened?" Asked a student.
"My genius happened!" Rainbow answered. "I changed the routine on the fly! And because my crew are such tight friends, they followed me!"
"What did you do?" A student gasped.
"Yeah, what happen?" Jr asked excitedly.
"Only the coolest thing ever!" Rainbow said. "I flew up and-"
"Did a super-amazing half-twist into a backflip sonic rainboom?!" Scootaloo wearing a goofy glasses as disguise excitedly.
Everyone turned to her.
"How'd you know that?" Apato asked.
"Hey! I never told that story to my students before." Rainbow approached and remove Scoot's glasses. "Scootaloo!"
Scootaloo laughs nervously. "Never met her."
"Way to ruin the excitement, Scoot." Rex said.
Rainbow then gestures Scootaloo to leave, she sighs and leaves.
Later, The Crusaders regrouped for another attempt. And soon, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie appeared.
"They're coming!" Sweetie Belle called. "Get ready!"
Scootaloo moves into position on her scooter, and Applebloom placed a bucket of apples on her head. Once they were close enough, Sweetie Belle singles Scootaloo. And she rushes, and Sweetie Belle singles Applebloom. And she headed out.
"Look out!" Scootaloo yelled.
"Look out!" Applebloom yelled stiltedly.
But they were only near each other slowly, and then they pass each other as Applebloom purposely dropped the bucket. And Scootaloo just got on the ground. And then Fluttershy and Pinkie turn to them.
"Hey! Watch where you are going!" Scootaloo stiltedly.
"I was watching!" Applebloom stiltedly. "Watching you drive like a crazy pony!"
"Well, maybe if you did not drop apples all over the street, I would not have to!"
"Ooh. I've never seen Applebloom and Scootaloo argue like this." Fluttershy concern.
"Yeah." Pinkie agreeing with her. "They usually go together like candy canes and stripes."
Scootaloo then glance to Sweetie Belle and winked singling to her. She stepped out, and purposely tripped on Scootaloo's scooter and fell.
"My apples?" Applebloom stiltedly. "This is all your fault, Scootaloo!"
"Hey, Sweetie Belle is the clumsy one!" Scootaloo stiltedly.
"I'm not talking to either one of you ever again!" Sweetie Belle stiltedly.
The 3 then turned away from each other.
"Goodness. They seem really upset." Fluttershy said.
"It's almost like they forgot they're friends." Pinkie agreed.
Then the Crusaders glance each other.
"I think it's working!" Scootaloo said quietly.
"You are so careless!" Sweetie Belle continued the stiltedly. "Good plan, Apple Bloom!"
"Careless!" Apple Bloom stiltedly. "I will show you who is the is careless! And great acting Sweetie Belle!"
"We're an awesome team!" Scootaloo said and they got in a group hug.
"All right!" Apple Bloom happily.
"Yay!" Pinkie cheered.
"Oops." Apple Bloom realize they celebrated too early.
"You're friends again!" Pinkie cheered. "I knew you would be! Candy cane stripes forever!"
The Crusaders sighed disappointed.
"Now they'll never let us into Twilight's school." Scootaloo sadly.
Later, they were at the clubhouse trying to think of a new plan.
"Okay, we've tried shirkin' chores, pesterin', disguises, fightin'." Apple Bloom reviewed.
"Hmmm..." Sweetie Belle thought. "We need to do something new. Something expected."
Then there was muffled crying heard.
"Great idea, Scootaloo!" Apple Bloom said. "We haven't tried cryin' yet."
"Yeah! It always works for Rarity." Sweetie Belle.
Scootaloo turns to them confusingly and looks fine.
"I wasn't crying." Scootaloo got up. "I think it's coming from outside."
They looked out from the window, and saw a little Pegasus filly with peach colored coat, light blue mane and tail and with a bow tied on them. And her cutie mark is a chess mark piece. And she was crying.
"Aww. She looks so sad." Sweetie Belle said. "We better go see what's wrong."
The 3 soon headed outside and went up to her.
"Hey. Are you okay?" Apple Bloom asked.
The filly turns to them. "Oh. Thank you for asking. But no. I'm having trouble with..." She sniffs. "...the School of Friendship."
"Twilight won't let you go either, huh?" Scootaloo asked.
"Oh, no, it's not that. I'm in her class, but..." She sniffs. "...it's too hard!" She cried a bit.
"Really?" Sweetie Belle said.
"I just moved here to go to school, but everything's so new and different." The filly explained. "I don't know anypony."
"Well, now you do." Said Apple Bloom. "I'm Apple Bloom. This Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. We're the Cutie Mark Crusaders."
The filly sniffed a bit. "I'm Cozy Glow. It's very nice to meet you, but I don't know it I'll stay long. I'll probably flunk out. I'm having so much trouble with my friendship lessons."
The 3 gasped.
"We can help with those!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"We know all about friendship!" Said Scootaloo.
"And studyin' with you would be almost as good as bein' in class!" Apple Bloom added.
"But why would you help me?" Cozy asked. "What's in it for you?"
"That's how friendship works." Sweetie Belle said. "When you give from your heart, you don't expect anything back."
"Well, golly, if you really mean it..."
"Uh-huh!" The Crusaders nodded.
"I could use some help with my homework." Cozy bringing out 3 photos of Big Mac, Mrs. Cake and Sweetie Drops. "I have to do something nice for each of these ponies. But I don't know anything about them. And it's hard to talk to ponies you've never met."
"Well, you're in luck, 'cause we know all those ponies!" Said Apple Bloom.
"Get ready for a friendship A-plus!" Scootaloo said.
Cozy smiled.
Later, Sweetie Drops AKA Bon Bon was cover at the plant booths, then there was a zoom. But soon thought it was nothing.
Then Scootaloo and Cozy looked over.
"That's Bon Bon." Scootaloo said. "If you wanna do something nice for her, first you gotta figure out what she needs."
"Well, how am I supposed to do that?" Cozy asked.
"Just pay attention. Friendship is about listening to others."
They watched Bon Bon as she bought a cactus. And she begins to head home, but the spines of the cactus were poking her face each time she took a step as the bag swung.
"Uh-oh. That cactus keeps pricking her every step she takes." Scootaloo said. "Hmm, if only there was something to protect her form those spines."
Cozy looked around, and saw Scootaloo's helmet and had an idea. She grab it and flew over to Bon Bon.
Bon Bon placed the bag down, and rubbed her cheek from being poked so much.
"It looks like you need help carrying your cactus, so here's a safe way to take it home. Cozy said and place the helmet on top of the cactus and laugh nervously.
"Thank you!" Bon Bon said. "That's so thoughtful."
Cozy left and Bon Bon picks up the bag and headed home.
"I did it!" Cozy meeting back with Scootaloo.
"Good job!" Said Scootaloo. "But, uh, next time, maybe don't give away my helmet."
"Oopsie."
Next, Sweetie Belle helped Cozy with Mrs. Cake and by sorting out different colored sprinkles.
"Green, purple, yellow." Sweetie Belle handed a colored sprinkle to Cozy holding a shaker. "And one more purple. Whew. Sorting all those took longer than I thought."
Cozy then place the shakers in a box. "You really think Mrs. Cake will like these new sprinkle shakers?"
"Mm-hmm." Sweetie Belle nodded. "Now she won't have to use rainbow sprinkles all the time. She can just pick the color she wants!"
Then the bell rang as they turned and saw Mrs. Cake.
"Ooh! I'm sorry, I was out to lunch." Mrs. Cake said. "Were you fillies waiting for me long?"
"No. Um, these are for you!" Cozy handing her gift.
Mrs. Cake so opens it, and found different colored sprinkle shakers.
"Oh, well, what a lovely surprise!" Mrs. Cake said. "I can't wait to try them out!"
Then Mrs. Cake started using them. And then brought out a cake mix color mix sprinkles, which made the 2 widen eyes.
"Look! I made rainbow sprinkles!" Said Mrs. Cake. "Aren't they wonderful?"
She then went somewhere to place the cake.
"But... she... I..." Cozy then groaned.
"At least she likes her present?" Sweetie Belle said.
"Uh-huh..."
Cozy smiled.
Later, Big Mac was at the field gathering apples.
He bucks a tree, but strangely nothing fell. He then went over to another tree and buck it. But nothing fell, and tried another as well.
Then he heard whistling, and he looked and saw Apple Bloom and Cozy by the fence with 3 buckets filled with apples.
Big Mac smiled and ran.
"Golly. How'd you know that would make him so happy?" Cozy asked.
"Friendship means pitchin' in to help others' chores go faster." Apple Bloom said.
Then Big Mac ran by and nodded a thanks.
"Specially when their special somepony's waitin' for 'em." Apple Bloom added.
And Big Mac ran over and met with Sugar Belle who was waiting for them.
Sometime later, the school bell rang and students ran outside.
But the Crusaders looked bored.
"That class was so boring!" Scootaloo groaned.
"Not even Ms. Cheerilee can make history of radishes exciting." Sweetie Belle grumbled a bit.
"I bet they don't have to learn about that stuff at Twilight's school." Apple Bloom as well.
As they headed out, suddenly a flash crashed into them.
"Guess what!" Cozy said excitedly. "I got an A on my homework!" She brought her sheet with an A.
The Crusaders then lifted her cheerful.
"And I never could have done it without without your help!" Cozy said.
And Cozy flew down.
"No problem!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"We just wish we could have do more." Said Scootaloo.
"Actually, you can." Cozy said. "Headmare Twilight is giving us a big test at the end of the week, and I could really use your help studying."
"We wanted to go to Twilight's school more than anything." Said Apple Bloom. "But helpin' you has been even more fun! You can count on us!"
Later, they had a picnic. And Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle brought a basket of carrots. Apple Bloom brought a basket of apples, Cozy uncovered her's, but it was empty.
And then Angel popped out with a carrot in his mouth and munching on it.
The Crusaders soon saw she has nothing to eat of her own. And then Sweetie Belle offered 2 carrots and an apple to her. And then brought out a card with Rarity's cutie mark on it.
Cozy then examines it. "Um... intelligence?"
The Crusaders glance each other, knowing she has a lot to learn.
Later, the 4 were repainting a barn house at Sweet Apple Acres.
And then, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Cozy high five each other. But Cozy accidentally bucked the ladder that Scootaloo is on. And then her bucket of paint fell and left the 3 covered in red paint.
And then Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom started laughing, and Cozy glance up to Scootaloo. And she showed a card with Pinkie's cutie mark. And she laughed as well.
Later, they helped Fluttershy in her cottage as they were helping her with the animals.
Cozy was swiping the floor, and accidentally knock over a bag of bird seeds. She lifts it, and there was still a bit of seeds on the floor. Not wanting to get in trouble, she hid the seeds under the rug. But the Apple Bloom appeared and brought out a card with Applejack's mark.
And then Cozy uncovers the seeds, and then a red bird and a Bluejay appeared and starting feeding on the seeds.
And the 2 giggled.
Later, they were back at the clubhouse helping Cozy make out the Elements of Harmony.
"Laughter?" Cozy guested.
"Yes!" Sweetie Belle said.
The she points to the Element of Magic.
"Is it... control?" Cozy guested.
Sweetie Belle shook her head.
Sometime later, Pipsqueak was trying to get his kite out from a tree. But it was too high up.
Soon, the Crusaders and Cozy appeared and saw the problem. And then Cozy flew up, and retrieved the kite and handed to Pipsqueak.
Suddenly there was a gust of wind. And the kite was blown out of his hoof, and Cozy went after it.
And Cozy soon got the kite back.
They were soon back in the clubhouse, and Cozy was getting better.
"Kindness!" Cozy said.
Sweetie Belle pointed to the Loyalty Element.
"Loyalty!"
She then pointed to Honesty Element.
"Honestly! Generosity!"
Sweetie Belle points to the Laughter Element.
"Laughter!"
And last, but not less.
"Magic!"
And then the 4 cheered.
Later, the Crusaders were waiting outside of the School of Friendship.
And soon, the students came out. But then, Cozy came out and for some reason looked sad.
"How'd the test go?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Were there essay questions?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Did you remember what we taught you?" Scootaloo asked.
"I... failed!" Cozy then cried and ran off.
"But how could Cozy Glow fail her friendship test?" Apple Bloom confused.
"Ahem."
They turned and saw Twilight with a mad look.
"I'd like to see you three in my office!" Twilight said.
The 3 glanced each other nervously.
Soon they were with Twilight in her office, and at the moment she was looking at a sheet.
"I know we wanted to be invited inside, but it kinda went different in my head." Scootaloo quietly to them.
"I can't believe you'd do something like this!" Twilight turning to them.
The 3 glance each other.
"Like what?" Apple Bloom asked.
"You are Cozy Glow's tutors, aren't you?" Twilight approached them.
"We've been working with her for days!" Scootaloo said.
"That's what she told me. So you've been setting her up to fail?"
"What? How?" The 3 went confused.
"I know you're upset that I won't let you come to my school, but to teach Cozy all the wrong things out of spite... That's just cruel!" Said Twilight.
"But we taught her all the right things!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"Then how do you explain these friendship test answers?" Twilight then looks at the test. "What are the 6 Elements of Harmony?" 5 turtlenecks and a cheese grater? "Who is the Princess of Friendship?" Your mom?"
"I... I don't understand." Apple Bloom depressed.
"Me neither. I never thought you three would pull such a mean prank." Twilight got to the door and open it. "I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to stay away from my school. And my students."
And Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo left the room to leave. And Twilight closed the doors.
And Cozy watched as they left.
"Oh, no!" She cried.
Meanwhile, Starlight was arranging her books on her shelf.
"Yay." She said dryly. "Now I'll alphabetize them in reserve order." She sighs. "Not much need for a guidance counselor at a school of friendship."
Then there a throat clearing sound, and Starlight jumped and fell off over the stool. And Cozy winced.
"How much of that did you hear?!" Starlight getting up. "Uh, never mind."
She then teleports to her desk, and sets the stool up.
"Welcome! Starlight laughed nervously. "Can I get you a comfort pillow? Security blanket? Empathy cocoa?"
Cozy went up to her desk and removes the blanket off.
"Uh, I just need some advice." Cozy said.
"Oh! Well, I have plenty of that!" Starlight said. "Anecdotes, insights, midnight confessions... I'm babbling." She then clears her throat. "Go ahead. I'm listening."
"I think I got my friends in trouble." Cozy explained. "They helped me study for my friendship test, and I failed it... on purpose."
"Why would you do that?" Starlight asked. "Uh, sorry. Listening." She then had a sip of her cocoa.
"Well, the Cutie Mark Crusaders wanted to go to this school more than anything. So I thought if I showed Headmare Twilight they're bad at friendship, she'd let them come here with me."
"That's devious." Starlight impressed. "I-I mean, I see." She then had another sir of her cocoa and had a weird kind of stern look on her face.
"I guess I still have a lot to learn about friendship." Said Cozy.
"Actually, I think you're doing it all right." Starlight said." Sure, that was really, really bad way to try to help your friends, but what matters is you wanted. The reason the Cutie Mark Crusaders don't go to this school is because they'd make better teachers than students."
"So you do have a place for them?"
"Hmmm..." Starlight thought.
Meanwhile, in Cheerile's class, the students were cleaning up the classroom.
And Apple Bloom was scraping gum under the desks.
"I bet there's no "Wondering World of Cleaning" lesson at Twilight's school." Apple Bloom groaned.
"We'll never find out now." Sweetie Belle cleaning the chalkboard.
"I still don't get how Cozy failed her test after all that studying?" Scootaloo on trash duty.
"Or how Twilight could blame us for it!" Sweetie Belle.
"Or how gum can be so sticky!" Apple Bloom with some gum stick to her hooves.
Then there was a knock as Starlight came in.
"Sorry to interrupt, Miss Cheerilee." Starlight said. "But can I burrow Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo?"
The 3 rose their heads from behind the desk.
Next thing they knew, they were in Twilight's office.
And then Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie, Rainbow and Applejack came in. And then Twilight appeared.
"We didn't do anything wrong! We promise!" Scootaloo giving out suddenly.
"I know that." Twilight said. "Now. Which is why I wanted to talk to you."
"Wait. so we're not in trouble?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Just the opposite." Said Starlight. And she turned to Cozy. "Cozy Glow, is there something you'd like to say?"
"This is all my fault." Cozy explained. "I messed up my test on purpose so we could go to school together. I'm sorry."
"Thank you, Cozy Glow." Said Twilight. "Honesty is one of the pillars of friendship." She then turn to the Crusaders. "But you already know that. Which is why I'd like to give you these."
Spike then approach them, holding a pillow with scrolls. But then he trips and fell. And the scrolls landed in front of the Crusaders.
"They're honorary diplomas, makin' y'all official graduates of this here school." Applejack said.
"You've more than earned than." Said Rarity.
"Without even having to study!" Rainbow said.
Then 3 of Fluttershy's birds placed graduating hat on them. And Pinkie with her party cannons.
"We are graduates!" The Crusaders chanting and prance around Starlight and Cozy. "We are graduates! We are graduates!"
"And if you're interested, I think Starlight has a place for you at my school after all." Said Twilight.
"Woo-hoo!" The Crusaders cheered.
"We could use some friendship tutors on staff." Starlight said. "And I hear you're the best out there."
"Then what are we waitin' for?" Apple Bloom said. "Let's get tutorin'! Come on, Cozy!"
And then the 4 fillies headed out.
