Light's pov.
I was thankful to Xen that when he left the fox trooper numbers in the area dropped a lot for the time being n' we were able to make progress to the Vile caverns which in turn would lead to the Reclussive Vally where we were hoping to start building a army to fight the Fox King n' take back my home. "You do realize that yeah this is the only path we can take without bein spotted, but it is the more dangerous rout?!" Sonic yelled at me n' honestly I knew this as well from my younger years of reading the areas that had hazzard zones.
I looked to them "I know, but as you said Sonic, it is the only one we can take if we are to avoid the elites that travl the main roads" I replied nervously n' I guess even a Grimshade n' Ragefall can be spooked of a hazzard zone like the Vile Caverns. Shadow looked around "we've got maybe three hours left of daylight n' I've heard this place is deadly at night...we best travl cautiously n' stop when it gets too dark" We all agreed n' walked in knowing the sooner we get through the better.
walking in this place was harder than orriginally thought with the rough terrain n' it being hard to see in this place some of us slipped a number of times n' I got the worst luck with Fleetway, as I slipped on a spot that was a sharp slope that Fleet tried to grab me only to fall in as well "uhg...ok that one hurt" Fleet said annoied at the fact he failed to keep his post up there. I sat up n' tried to get a look around to realize we must have slipped farther down than we should have n' we couldn't see nothing at all "Fleetway...I don't think this is where we wanna be" I said nervously n' I could hear him mumble to himself as nervously as I was.
We chose to sit put n' hope morning brings out more visibility though I doubt anyone's lived a night out here in this dark place. "You know...I didn't think this is how I'd go out..." Fleetway seemed really outta himself with this place but outta the corner of my eye I noted something that looked as though it started to glow. "maybe...maybe not, did you ever know this place had glowing plants n' bugs?" I asked him n' he looked to me completely confused till he looked n' noticed me holding a glowing slug. "Lemi Slugs? I thought they only thrive where their is a strong slaughter feild of...dead dragons" I looked around n' wondered the same thing.
"we must be really close to some then" I said looking around the area n' noted a path with these plants n' bugs now awake "maybe we should try that way?" I asked him n' he nodded. I pulled out an clear bottle n' started to throw a few slugs in it though I laughed at Fleetway since he refused to touch them saying they were slimy n' creepy who'd of thought this critter scared him. We pressed on to get out n' hopefully get to the others when we found the massive mess of partially or completely decomposed dragon's I just frowned "why would anyone kill so many of them?" I questioned seeing the old Fox trooper arrows n' spears.
Fleetway huffed "Foxes don't care...plant, animal, people to them its all fair game to hunt n' destroy" he said as he walked up to another pathway, but I donno if it was just the dull light source here or just me since I just swore I saw a skelleton's arm move. I ran over to Fleetway "is it possible to move if your nothing but bones?" I askedd completely spooked when I had noticed a glowing red spot in one of the skulls n' as Fleet turned to tell I guess he noticed it too. "Oh SNAP!" he said freaking out as well "Run!" he grabbed my hand n' we ran as fast we could as that thing basically jumped out of the pile of death n' came after us using its arms to chase us.
"The devil happened to that dragon?!" I yelled as we kept going trying to out run the dead dragon. Fleetway glanced back hoping we were outrunnin the thing "I think its a bone dragon, n' a pissed one at that it hasn't gone to the other side with the rage it has against the living n' I just know that it won't stop till it kills the one responsible for it's death!" he said as I took to the air with the change in size of the cavern n' took to the nearest hole I can find, but not fast enough sadly as it reared up on the limited body it had n' caught my leg in its teeth. Fleetway seemed to anger far easily to that as I yowled in pain n' he used his tails to brake a few of the fangs to get me loose n' we managed to get into one that I could swear I could see moonlight coming from.
we soon came out into the night's sky n' could see a small fire not too far away n' we cautiously went that way noting the others waiting with a few bumps n' bruses. My landing wasn't my best by a long slide when I dopped fleetway n' failed to land properly as I tumbled n' stopped on my back panting heavily "Light!" Shadow yelled as he n' Zonic ran over while the others checked on Fleetway. The two noticed the wounded leg easily "what happened in there Fleetway?" Zonic asked n' he sat up. Fleetway then walked over "we ran into a Bone dragon not too long after getting separated from you, we barily got away from it...it bit Light though n' I know a bone dragon can carry illnesses with the fact this one has been laying in dead flesh for a while" he seemed nervous n' truth be told I was too with the fact I wasn't feeling too good.
"We need to get him to a doctor now, this wound is bad n' if what you say is true then we are in a bad place to have Light fall ill like this" Zonic said aggitated as he wrapped the wound n' lifted me up "we can't rest till we're sure Light is safe." Sonic looked stirn for once "I'll go ahead n' hope there is one in the Vally" he replied n' with a nod from his twin brother Sonic bolted off. Fleetway sighed "I should have done better..." he muttered n' Shadow patted his shoulder "you helped as best you could n' thats enough for me now we must get moving cause who knows how bad that wound really is."
Zonic's Pov.
It was nerve wraking that Light had fallen ill so fast n' we were not sure how far we were from any doctor, but sadly things went from bad to worse as we had been recently cornered by the fox elites in a cave with Light ill we weren't sure how this could go, we just had to hope Sonic found someone that could help us in more than one way.
