AN: I AM SO SORRY. It's been like what? 3 weeks? I've been busy with real life. I probably won't get the chapter 13 out for a while either. I have tests this week and next week and I'm bad a studying, plus a friend of mine is nagging at me to write the next chapter of a story of mine that's not fanfiction. I also apologize for this chapter. I am not in the mood to write so it might be a crappy chapter.
Mossflower1234: Good thing you didn't die :D MY speech went surprisingly well too.
FUN FACT: Tyki's 26 years old. I don't know if his age change recently though...
Chapter 12: I hate Akuma
Sol crossed her arms as she listened to Kanda and Marie. They were now inside the orphanage and were talking to Mother Superior and a nice lady named Emilia. It turns out a child named Timothy was able to synchronize with Innocence. He happened to be crying against the nun, with Allen tied to him. The female exorcist couldn't help but feel sad for Timothy right now. The boy didn't want to leave. You could tell from his puddles of tears, but it didn't seem like Kanda would let him stay.
Why does Kanda have to be such an ass? She thought looking at the crying child. "Kanda can you be a little sympathetic. It's not like it's going to kill you." Sol whispered, slightly hoping he didn't hear her. She didn't feel like getting into another argument.
"Shut up." He replied quickly. She could feel anger rise in her chest, but was not in the mood for fighting. Sol's eyes strayed over to the window. The birds of morning were chirping and the sun had risen all the way in the sky. The sky was blue and clouds hovered in the air.
Ugh, it's so nice and sunny outside, unlike in here. Sol thought, trying to ignore the other people talking in the room. As Sol looked out the window, everything suddenly became black.
"Wh-what?" She yelled in surprise, jumping back abruptly.
"Shit! We're inside a barrier!" Kanda declared standing up and looking out the window.
"Akuma!? But my eye isn't reacting!" Allen said trying to wiggle his way out of the ropes. Sol quickly stood up from her sitting position only to be pushed down by Kanda.
"What the heck get off of m-!" The room they were in suddenly blew up. One side of the orphanage was in smoke in seconds. Parts of the roof began to fall on everyone. The black haired girl, stopped trying to get the samurai off and gasped as part of the roof fell on them. Kanda quickly took out his katana and sliced the block in half, before it reached them. After that he immediately stood up.
"Get off you're ass Ushi!" He yelled then ran off leaving Sol laying there by herself. The female exorcist got up onto her feet and saw some children huddled up against a broken wall crying. Sol instantly reacted and ran over to the children.
"Are you all okay?" She asked, checking to make sure they weren't hurt. One little girl nodded her head and her ankle bent in an awkward way. Sol gritted her teeth and picked up the girl. "Everyone that can still move, we need to get you somewhere safe."
"Sol over here!" She looked to where the voice was coming from to see Link carrying Emilia and Timothy.
"Come on children." She said rushing over to where Link was. "Link what is happening?" She asked the inspector, her heart racing and it thudded against her chest.
"What does it look like? We're being attacked by akuma." There was a fleet of stairs before them and Sol rushed the children forward trying to get them down the stairs into the lower floor of the crumbling building. The girl samurai was running behind them, making sure there weren't any enemies and soon enough they had all got to the bottom.
Sol turned the corner along with the children, the one she was holding clutched onto her shirt, sobbing. The familiar figure was seen of Mother Superior. "Excus-" Again she was cut off a horrible pain wen through her forearm. She quickly put the girl onto the ground and looked at her arm as it seared in pain. She had been shot through her forearm and she could feel poison running through her arms.
"Crap!" She immediately took out both of her katana's, the innocence slowly washing the poison away.
"Oh lookie here, an exorcist." A voice sang. Sol looked up to see an akuma in front of the nun.
"Ahh!" Screamed the children next to Sol. She looked over to the kids to see that they had stopped moving. In fact they looked like dolls.
"Oh you don't need to worry about them. They'll stay nice and still for a while." Sol's gritted her teeth and started running at the akuma.
Can I win this? She thought, dodging a bullet from the horrid creature. I'm new at this. Can I really?
-Flashback-
"So, there's something special to my innocence?" I asked looking at the two katana's in my hands. Komui nodded his head.
"All innocence has some special power to it. Like techniques or different transformations. Take Allen's for example. When he first activates Crown Clown, he has a giant claw to fight with, but he can also make that claw into a giant sword. Another example would be Lavi. His hammer let's him choose different seals for different affects. If anything yours might have different techniques like Kanda."
I growled at the name of the samurai. "I don't want to be like him. He's such an ass."
Komui laughed at the comment," Why don't you just try practicing with your innocence a little. Maybe you'll figure something out.
-End of flashback-
Sol lifted her swiped her swords at the akuma trying to hit the creature. "Guess I'll have to use this already!" The akuma looked at her in confusion and jumped back, avoiding another hit from Sol's swords. "Ichigeki (One blow)!" Light started to flow off Sol's swords. She swung them downwards, releasing a medium sized blast of energy.
AN: I was laughing like crazy when I saw what 'one blow' mean't in Japanese. Why? Because a lot of Kanda's techniques have ichi in it. Review please!
