Remedy- There for Tomorrow

Disturbed- Ten Thousand Fists

Imagine Dragons- On Top of the World

The stage was dark, the only source of light was from the strobes from by the stage sides. Smoke machines poured the hazy material onto the area, camouflaging the boys as they discreetly took their places onto the stage.

"So how about those girls, huh?"

The crowd was silent for a few seconds, but once the spot lights switched back on and showed the boys, the cheering instantly went back up to the high pitched octaves. Corey glanced back at Kin and Kon, who both grinned and nodded. He smirked back at them, then turned to Larry. The Newmans bassist smirked back at his ally and bobbed his head. Corey's smirk became a full blown grin.

"But now, are you ready to rock even harder with us boys?!"

The crowd cheered back at them, a few people pumping out their hands into the rock horns. Corey's heart pounded against his chest. Even though his band played in front of the regular civilians numerous times, this crowd was nothing compared to Peaceville's population! Corey turned to Kon, and the drummer tapped his drum sticks with vivid enthusiasm.

"One, two...One, two, three, four!"

With Kin's finger on a single high note, Corey and Larry then strummed their instruments in unison at first, then Corey hit a few higher notes, paused, and the band kickstarted into a full blown instrumental. The crowd screamed at the top of their lungs, and Larry could see a few more rock horns pull up into the air. A grin curled up onto his face. This was amazing!

He turned to Corey, and the guitarist smirked and approached the microphone. "Split decisions, finding fixes, I test ride my memory. Tunnel vision, I give in and put an end to make-shifting relief!" The guitarist turned to Larry, "This game has got me shaking hands with my own enemies." He turned back to the crowd, feeling the adrenaline course through his veins! "I see faces, but none of them, not one believes in me!"

Corey played a few notes as Larry jumped over to steal the spotlight, "And at the end of the road..." A few more bass notes. "I'll hate to say I told you so!"

"I don't need you to find resolve~! 'Cause when it's said and done, down to one-!"

"I'll hate to say I told you so!" The two boys smirked at each other. They surprisingly made a pretty good team. "And as your promises dissolve~...I'll get bragging rights! You'll realize that from day one, I always told you so..."

Kin moved his hands across his keyboard with ease and confidence. "Go on living, making killings off of all your broken dreams. I'll stay in within the out, and I bet you won't find one weak bone in me!" He turned to Kon, who grinned back at him. "It's been a long time coming, but no need for sympathy!"

"I made my mind, I'll spend my time just making you believe!" Corey ripped through his guitar notes, jumping in between the Kujira brothers with a wide smile on his face. "And at the end of the road..." A few more guitar notes. "I'll hate to say I told you so!"

"I don't need you to find resolve~!" Larry jumped onto a speaker, tearing into his bass chords in synch with Corey. The crowd was screaming at the top of their lungs. "'Cause when it's said and done, down to one-!"

"I'll hate to say I told you so!" The Kujira twins snag from the back, "And as your promises dissolve~...I'll get bragging rights! You'll realize that from day one, I always told you so..."

"I know this doesn't sound like it's the best of me..." The music toned down, and Larry and Corey hopped off the stage as their hair hiding their eyes. "But it feels so good to know what I've got!"

"I found a remedy!" The two string players played their instruments in unison, grinning as they shared eye contact. "Found me a fix for all these broken memories~!"

"Something to cure the sick and suffering!"

"'Cause I did what I wanted to!"

"Rest assured, no more time to lose."

"I found a remedy..."

The Kin played some high notes on his keyboard, and Kon pounded against his drums while Larry and Corey played a short solo. Suddenly, the lights dimmed, silhouetting the boy band and the crowd's cheered toned down. The only music that played were the strings on Larry's bass. "I don't need you to find resolve...'Cause when it's said and done, down to one-!"

"I'll hate to say I told you so!"

As abrupt as the darkness came, it vanished as the boys put their excitement into playing the rest of the song. The crowd's cheering instantly shot back up, and Corey thought it was even louder than before. That just made everything so much better!

"And as your promises dissolve~!" Larry glanced back at Kin as he snag backup. "And as your promises dissolve..."

"I'll get bragging rights! You'll realize that from day one, I always told you so!"

"'Cause I did what I wanted to..." Larry and Corey grinned, pouring their hearts out into their talents. "I told you so~!"

"No more time to lose!"

"I told you so~!"

All four boys sped up their pace, quickening the tempo and pushing the adrenaline rush and excitement up to the final verse. The crowd screamed along as Corey sang the last verse.

"I found a remedy~!"

And it ended. The crowd cheered enthusiastically, pumping their fists up and showing off the rock horns with the neon glow lights that the Newmans threw out earlier. Larry smirked at Corey, mentally challenging him to top off the glow lights, 'Try and beat that, Riffin! Everybody knows you can't beat neon glow lights!' But Corey simply smiled back and put his hand up to silence the crowd. Slowly, the audience lowered their volume and their hands, muttering and mumbling about what Corey was doing. Even Kin and Kon seemed confused for a moment. But then the blue guitarist strummed a few notes on his guitar, signalling that it was the beginning of the next song.

The low pitched guitar strumming didn't go out too far into the crowd, but that was mainly because Larry caught on pretty quickly and strummed along with Corey, allowing him to play the higher notes as the song progressed. Kin turned to Kon, grinning like a maniac. The drummer blinked, smirked, then began to pound against his drums. The two string players instinctively played their notes louder, and the crowd jumped back into life as Corey screamed into the microphone, "SURVIVOR~!"

The crowd screamed at Corey, fist pumping and jumping as the group started to intensify their music making. "SURVIVOR~!" Smoke poured out of the machines as Larry jumped onto a stereo. "One more Goddamn day when I know what I want and my want will be considered tonight!" He grinned, shredding through his bass notes as he heard his fans screamed. "Considered tonight!"

"Just another day when all that I want will mark me as a sinner tonight!" Corey stuck out his tongue at Larry as his own set of fans screamed in his direction. "I'm a sinner tonight, yeah!"

Kon pounded on his drums, and a strobe light kicked into action. "People can no longer cover their eyes! If this disturbs you then walk away~!" Corey ripped through his guitar as Kin backed up his brother. "You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of-!"

"Ten thousand fists in the air~!"

Corey pumped out his fist and the crowd went wild as they copied his action. There were a series of flashes and Corey couldn't tell if it was from the strobe lights or the cameras, but he didn't care either way. This was beyond exhilarating!

"Power unrestrained, dead on the mark is what we will deliver tonight!" Larry smirked as he kneeled down on the stage, overlooking some of his screaming fans. "Deliver tonight!"

Corey grimaced. "Pleasure fused with pain, this triumph of the soul will make you shiver tonight!" Kin and Kon exchanged glances. Even though they are good allies, Larry and Corey will always be fiery music rivals.

"Will make you shiver tonight, yeah~!"

Kon pounded on his drums again, signaling the small portion that he and Kin shared. "People can no longer cover their eyes! If this disturbs you then walk away~!" Like before, Corey shredded his guitar notes as Kin too the spotlight. "You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of-!"

"Ten thousand fists in the air~!"

Larry and Corey played a few long, wavy notes through the bass/guitar solo while Kin used some of his keys on the keyboard to manipulate some of the effects. The strobe effects stopped and the spotlights became a gradient of red, blue, and yellow. More smoke poured out onto the stage, and the grinned as the climax started to come towards the finale.

"We are the ones that will open your mind. Leave the weak and the haunted behind!"

"We are the ones that will open your mind. Leave the weak and the haunted behind!"

"We are the ones that will open your mind. Leave the weak and the haunted behind!"

"We are the ones that will open your mind. Leave the weak and the haunted behind!" Kon pounded against his drums one last time. "People can no longer cover their eyes! If this disturbs you then walk away~!" Corey shredded his guitar notes one more time.

"You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of-!"

"Ten thousand fists in the air~!"

Larry ripped through his bass notes, backing up on Corey's last verse. "Air~!"

"Ten thousand fists in the air~!"

"Air~!"

"Ten thousand fists in the air!"

It stopped and the crowd went ballistic. Screams and cheers filled the area and Corey could feel his heart pumping with adrenaline. This was beyond his expectations; it was the real thrill of being a famous rockstar. Everything he wanted was in this moment, and he couldn't help but feel blissfully numb at the sound of the screaming audience.

That is, until Larry put a hand on his shoulder. Corey snapped out of his trance and the red head tilted his head towards the stage. The blue guitarist nodded at Larry and the Newmans bassist began to walk off. Corey grabbed the mic off the stand.

"Hey Peaceville, what do you think so far?!"

His response was filled with squeals and cheers, and and the boy couldn't help but grin even wider.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that! So, already heard the Newmans sing that electric dance party thing, so how pumped are you to hear Grojband play?!"

Below the stage, Laney tuned up a few of her bass strings before she went on. This was it. Grojband playing off the gig with their big finale. She hoped everything they did beforehand would pay it all off. But judging by the sound of the crowd, it was pretty safe to say that the two bands were off the hook.

Laney smiled lightly; she was glad this chapter in her life was gone, but the looming though of sneaking out to hang with Larry ate away at the back of her mind. For the past month and a half, the two bands have respectively met together in order to prepare for this very night. How was she going to be able to speak to Larry during broad daylight unless she faked sick or something. It was near impossible! And she didn't want to go out every night and spend money just to get some alone time with Larry. She deserved to enjoy being with her boyfriend as much as the next person!

But then again, how would the boys react? Better yet, how would Corey react?

"Laney!"

Laney snapped out of her thoughts thanks to Carrie. The Newmans guitarist pointed to the stage with her thumb with a wry smile. "You're up, girl! Knock 'em dead!"

Laney gave Carrie a smirk before playfully punching her shoulder. "Like that'll be a challenge!" She walked up the steps to the stage, bumping into Larry. The two laughed it off for a second, but then Larry grabbed Laney's arm and whispered into her ear, "Meet me by the Ferris Wheel when the coast is clear."

She gave him a very subtle nod, and Larry let go of her arm. Once she made it up onto the stage, the crowd cheered loudly at the sight of her. Laney couldn't help but grin! It seemed like they really liked her performance with the other girls!

Corey gave his buddy a noogie, earning a laugh from her. "Ya ready for this, Lanes?"

"Dude, I was born ready!" Laney playfully shoved him off, fixing her hair quickly. The smell of the smoke was a little nauseating, but it took her less than half a second to get used to it. By the time she was able to breathe without problems, she could hear the sound of clapping in the background. Kin and Kon were clapping their hands, and after a few seconds, Laney strummed his bass as Corey began to whistle into the microphone.

His whistle was in synch with the strumming and clapping, and after a few seconds, Kon pounded against his drums to start off the song. "If you love somebody, better tell them while they're here 'cause they just may run away from you~."

He smiled softly as his mind wandered to a certain blonde girl, allowing Kin to take up from where he left off. "You'll never know quite when, well. Then again it just depends on how long of time is left for you~."

Corey began to strum in, and the brothers grinned, happy that the audience was starting to clap along with them. "I've had the highest mountains. I've had the deepest rivers. You can have it all but life keeps moving~."

Laney smiled and closed her eyes, "I take it in but don't look down~..."

"'Cause I'm on top of the world, 'ay!" Grojband grinned and turned to one other, feeling the adrenaline course through their veins. "I'm on top of the world, 'ay! Waiting on this for a while now, paying my dues to the dirt!"

The group couldn't stop smiling! They actually began to jump up with the beat to this cheerful song. "I've been waiting to smile, 'ay! Been holding it in for a while, 'ay! Take you with me if I can, been dreaming of this since a child...I'm on top of the world."

They stopped playing to let the audience keep clapping, but then Corey picked up before the crowd started to doubt. "I've tried to cut these corners, try to take the easy way out. I kept on falling short of something..."

He looked down at Laney, who blinked back at him before giving him a smile. He instantly smiled back. "I coulda gave up then but then again I couldn't have 'cause, I've traveled all this way for something..."

Corey looked down at Carrie, who looked back and created eye contact with him. "I take it in but don't look down~..."

"'Cause I'm on top of the world, 'ay!" The chorus snapped Corey out of his thoughts, and his wide smile instantly came back. "I'm on top of the world, 'ay! Waiting on this for a while now, paying my dues to the dirt! I've been waiting to smile, 'ay! Been holding it in for a while, 'ay! Take you with me if I can, been dreaming of this since a child...I'm on top of the world."

"Ooooooooh..." Corey and Laney stood together by the mic, clapping their hands together to encourage the audience to get more involved. "OoooAhhhhhOoooAhhhhh..." It seemed to be working, because more people started to clap along now. The two best friends grinned at each other. There was no way that the Newmans could top them in this! "Ooooooooh...OoooAhhhhhOoooAhhhhh..."

"'Cause I'm on top of the world, 'ay!" Grojband all jumped in again, playing their instruments and letting the audience clap and whistle along. "I'm on top of the world, 'ay! Waiting on this for a while now, paying my dues to the dirt! I've been waiting to smile, 'ay! Been holding it in for a while, 'ay! Take you with me if I can, been dreaming of this since a child!"

"And I know it's hard when you're falling down, and it's a long way up when you hit the ground!"

"Get up now, get up, get up now."

"And I know it's hard when you're falling down, and it's a long way up when you hit the ground!

"Get up now, get up, get up now."

They paused a bit, smiled, and ripped through their notes one more time.

"'Cause I'm on top of the world, 'ay! I'm on top of the world, 'ay! Waiting on this for a while now! Paying my dues to the dirt..."

"I've been waiting to smile, 'ay! Been holding it in for a while, 'ay! Take you with me if I can, been dreaming of this since a child."

"I'm on top of the world."

A few more claps from Kin and Corey, a little drum pounding from Kon, and the song was over. The crowd cheered, clapped, screamed, squealed, the whole damn nine yards for the Grojband finale. Girls reached out towards the boys, hoping to get a high five towards one of them as they all took a bow. Corey took the microphone from the stand and waved to the crowd.

"Grojband and the Newmans thank you all for your support! You really did all of us a favor for being here and enjoying the show that both of our bands had to offer! Enjoy the rest of the night! Thank you, Peaceville and beyond!"

The sound of the crowd was the last thing that followed them as the group descended down the stairs. They were all sweating from playing so much, but the excitement still made their hearts pound like crazy! Once they were sure that nobody could hear them, Grojband let out yells of victory!

"That was EPIC!"

"SO SICK!"

"Totally badass!"

"We rocked the house, guys!"

They did a group high five, laughing and cheering as the Newmans strolled around with grins on their faces. Carrie had her arms crossed flatly over her chest, smiling widely. "You guys did pretty good out there."

"Pretty good?" Corey echoed, faking a personal insult. "We did pretty damn awesome, Care!"

"Yeah well, we obviously did better, Riffin!" The Newmans guitarist said with a smirk as she gestured to herself and her band. "The crowd clearly loved our twist with the Krewlla song and neon bracelets."

"Actually-"

"Hey!"

The bands froze at the sounds of Mayor Mellows voice. That was never a good sound ever since their little accident. Both lead guitarists turned towards the small mayor as he approached them, holding a picture of his mother in his left hand. "You kids going anywhere?"

"Uh..." Corey and Carrie exchanged anxious glances. What could this crazy man want from them now? Their hearts began to pound as their palms started to sweat. Did they not meet the quota? Was their concert a bust? It couldn't have been! Not when they made the people scream like that!

Mayor Mellow had his arms crossed and was tapping his foot impatiently. "You kids better say yes, because this concert was the best thing that this town could ever had hoped for!"

The two bands stared at Mayor Mellow. Kin gave Corey a helping hand to shut his hanging jaw.

"With the amount of people that came in today, and with a few crowds expecting to see more concerts in the future, this has been the most successful gig you've both put up!" He gave them a wry smile. "Your dues have been met for the accident, but I'm going to hold you to it to play again next year?"

Corey and Carrie felt their eyes light up. A solid gig one year in advance! The crowd loved them enough to want to see more of them! Which meant that their chances of becoming famous rockstars was that much closer in reach!

"You bet, Mayor Mellow!"

"Good." He smiled and walked off, counting some money from his pocket. "Now go and have fun, kids!"

"Woo!" Kin and Kon slapped a high five before racing towards the food stands. Kim and Konnie weren't that far behind. "Hey! You better not start without us!"

"I bet ten bucks that Kim and Konnie lose," Corey said to Carrie with a wide grin. Carrie smirked and punched the boy's shoulder. "You're so on!"

And then there were two. Larry glanced at Laney, and she glanced back. A smile crawled up his face as he offered his hand. She gladly took it and rested her head against his shoulder.

"I never knew you could break dance."

"Yeah, it's a secret talent," Larry said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I wanted to keep it a secret specifically for tonight."

"Well, you knocked some girls dead," Laney said with a laugh. Larry chuckled along. "Yeah, but, they won't be getting any more than a few blown kisses. I'm only here for one girl."

"And I wonder who she is. But I have a pretty good idea who she is." A grin spread across Laney's face as Larry boped her nose. "And he's glad that she's well aware of that one fact."

And done! Okay guys, I am REALLY, REALLY sorry about not updating in months! Even though I said that I was free from summer courses, work seriously kicks my ass hard and I have multiple drawings to get to before the summer ends!

Plus, I'm not really into the Grojband fandom anymore. I still like whole show and whatnot, but I'm not hyped up as I used to, which is the main reason why the updates are a little lengthy. I'm not going to abandon this story; I would never do that to you guys, but the waits for the update are going to be a little longer than they usually are. Until, or unless, I get back into the groove of the Grojband thing, that is.

Anyway, I hope you all can understand. Like I said, this story is not getting abandoned. I just need time to relax is all. I hope you guys enjoyed the update, and I'll see you all in the next update.
