Don't you hate it when your neighbors play their music ridiculously loud?
Me too.
"If we take the circumference of the circle and times it by the height..." Ms. Miyahara continued to preach to her students about cylinders. You were almost positive that you would never actually have to measure the area and volume of a cylinder after high school, but you tried to listen to the lecture anyway.
You glanced up at the clock and sighed. You'd be stuck in this room for another twenty minutes before the school bell would ring and liberate you from the building so you could go back to the dorm. Looking around the room, it seemed like most of the class was as bored as you were. They blandly looked at the board, pretending to listen to Ms. Miyahara's lesson. A few weren't even pretending to listen. They were drawing meaningless pictures on their notes and whispering and giggling with their friends.
You looked over at the seat beside you and saw that Minato had joined the mass of students that were far too bored to listen to the lecture. His head was resting on his desk, his face burried in his arms, only allowing you to see the short, blue locks that adorned the back of his head. You sighed, knowing that he had fallen asleep. You poked at his head with your pencil, making his heavy head roll to the side slightly before it rolled back into place.
You smiled and poked him again. You came to the conclusion that playing with Minato's sleeping body was far more entertaining than anything else you could do in the classroom. If you happened to wake him up from his heavy slumber, you'd justify your actions by lecturing him about how it's important to pay attention in class. Mitsuru would definitely agree with you if you ended up lecturing him, anyway.
You once again used your pencil to roll his head over. You successfully moved his heavy head so his face was now visible to you. A small giggle left your lips as you examined his sleeping, baby-like face. A bit of drool had fallen from the corner of his mouth and was now ruining the notes that were resting under his head. It was very humorous to you to see your leader drooling all over his desk.
You grinned and grazed your pencil's eraser over the male's ear, barely touching his skin. It tickled the male, evident by the way his face scrunched up after your action. You tickled his ear again, making the sleeping boy moan incoherent words and readjust his position. He burried his head back in his arms and his feet shuffled under his desk, kicking Junpei's chair in the process.
Junpei twisted his body around and saw you giggling at Minato's sleeping body. He watched you roll his head over so his face was exposed to you one more. Junpei chuckled, also noticing the drool on the corner of his friend's mouth. "You should draw a picture on his face." Junpei quietly suggested, sounding like a giddy schoolgirl.
You smiled and nodded approvingly, looking through your backpack for a pen. You felt a bit bad for the unaware, blue-haired boy. Yet, you couldn't stop smiling as the thought of Minato's reaction begged you to go through with it.
You lifted your black pen out of your bag and uncapped it. You gracefully moved the pen over his cheek, inches away from soiling his pale, charming face with whatever picture you would decide to draw. "What should I draw...?" You whispered quietly to Junpei.
Junpei hummed in thought. "It should be something simple." He replied.
"...How about a heart?" You suggested.
Junpei smiled. "Sounds good to me."
A grin appeared on your face as you gently placed the tip of your pen on his skin. You carefully drew the most symmetrical heart your hands could muster without waking the sleeping boy. You recapped your pen and examined your creation with a large grin.
"Perfect." Junpei commented through his quiet laughter.
The bell rang and a large wave of relief suddenly hit the students. Everyone quickly stood up and poured out the door, only leaving a few students behind. Minato slowly lifted his head after being rudely awakened by the bell.
Minato wiped some drool off of his face with his jacket sleeve. He drowsily glanced over at you. "...What time is it...?" He lazily questioned.
"Time to go back home, sleeping beauty." You answered with a smile.
Minato turned his heavy head to look at Junpei, who was trying his best to muffle his laughter. "What's so funny...?" He sleepily questioned.
Junpei shook his head. "Nothing!" He assured from in between his laughter. "I gotta go. I'll see you guys later!" Junpei stated, walking out of the classroom.
You stood up from your chair and smiled at Minato, planning your escape as well. "I should probably get going too-"
"Minato!" A girl's voice called from the hallway. You didn't recognize the voice, but you imagined that it belonged to one of Minato's fangirls.
Minato's head turned towards the door at the sound of his name. A girl ran over to his desk and smiled at him happily. "Oh...Hey, Mami." Minato greeted, still half-asleep.
Mami's face turned slightly red, hearing Minato say her name. "You remember my name?!"
"Of course." He simply stated with a charming smile.
Mami looked like she had a miniature fangirl-attack every time he spoke. "What's on your face...?" She questioned curiously.
"What do you mean?" Minato asked.
"You have a heart on your cheek." Mami replied, pointing to your drawing.
Your face turned pale as Mami pulled out a pocket mirror and showed Minato what you had done. You knew that someone would tell him eventually, you were just hoping that you wouldn't be nearby when he found out.
Minato glared at you, knowing that you were the only one who could have done it. You nervously laughed and smiled at him. "I-I was just...Hahaha..."
Mami also glared at you, but her stare was more cruel. "Did you do this to his beautiful face?" She asked sternly, demanding an explanation.
"Y-Yes..." You quietly muttered, hoping the girl would stop giving you the death-stare.
"How dare you disgrace his perfect face?! No one is allowed to put any marks on his face! No one!" Mami began to tell you off. Minato seemed to get a small kick out of it. He wore a teasing smirk as you got yelled at by his fangirl.
"Mami, it's fine. This just means that she owes me now, don't you?" He asked, turning his head to you.
"Y-Yes of course! I owe you!" You nervously stammered, willing to do anything to get Mami's eyes off of you.
Mami sighed. "Well...I guess Minato knows best." She stated with her smile. "But I'm watching you..." She whispered threateningly. "Bye Minato!"
"See ya." Minato casually replied, watching Mami run off to tell her friends all about how she had a conversation with the charismatic Minato Arisato.
You let out a breath that you had no idea you were holding. That girl looked like she was going to murder you for drawing on his cheek-No...That's not quite right...She was going to murder you, dismember your body, and throw your body parts into the sewer. That's more accurate.
"See? You can't mess with the amazing Minato Arisato. My bodyguards will come after you." Minato jokingly stated with a smile.
You rolled your eyes and smiled at his arrogance. "Let's just go back to the dorm." You suggested, trying to forget about the fangirl's threats. Minato nodded his head in agreement.
When you reached the dorm, you and Minato both threw your bags onto the ground lazily. Minato made a v-line for the couch and slumped down onto the furniture. You began to fill a cup of water to quench your thirst that was created by the walk back to the dorm.
You took a small sip of the cold liquid and glanced at your bag. You noticed that someone could trip over your or Minato's bag, seeing that they were sprawled out on the floor without any care. "Hey, Minato. We should move our bags before someone trips over them." You suggested.
"..." Minato didn't respond.
"Minato?" You called curiously, wondering why he wasn't answering.
"..." Still nothing but silence.
"Are you ignoring me now? I said I was sorry for drawing on your face, what else do you want from me?" You questioned, placing your drink down on the counter.
"..."
You approached the couch, thinking that he couldn't simply ignore you if you were standing in front of him. Your brows furrowed as you examined the male. Turns out, he hadn't been ignoring you. He had managed to fall asleep on the couch within the few moments you had taken to fill your glass with water.
"Minato!" You shouted, hoping that the male would wake up.
"..." Minato's nose twitched slightly, but he didn't wake up.
Your notorious evil grin appeared on your face as you walked towards the pantry of the dorm. You looked around and found a canister of whipped cream. It was probably the most cliche, overused joke to play on a sleeping beauty, but you imagined that it would still be absolutely hilarious. You shook the can to see how much cream was left. Usually, the dorm mates ate out instead of cooking themselves, so it wasn't very surprising to find out that the whole can was pretty much filled.
With your good old dastardly grin still plastered onto your face, you walked back over to Minato and pointed the can at his face. You delicately placed a mountain of whipped cream on his hand. When you stepped back to examine your work, you asked yourself: "Why stop there?"
You continued to create a mustache above his lip with the whipped cream and added onto the pile in his hand. You had to muffle your giggles with your other hand as you made his nose appear longer with the topping. Then, as you went in to add a unibrow to your masterpiece, you realized that you had used up all of the whipped cream.
A large sigh left your mouth as you walked over to the trash can to dispose of the canister. You stared at Minato for a few moments, pondering over how you could finish your makeover without whipped cream. Suddenly, an idea popped into your mind and you rushed into the bathroom.
When you returned to the lounge with a tube of toothpaste in your hand, you heard a loud noise from outside. You presumed that it was a speaker. You opened the door slightly to investigate the loud noise. Apparently, the people living across from the dorm decided to throw a party today. Why they were partying? You had no clue. You also had no idea why they were playing their music so loud, but you did know that it was loud enough to possibly wake Minato up.
You shut the door, hoping that the music wasn't loud enough to wake him. Amazingly, the music was just loud enough to be heard from a cross the street, but it wasn't loud enough to wake him. You let out a sigh of relief.
Then, the music got louder. It was at the point where you could faintly hear the words to the song. "...With the taste of your lips I'm on a ride. You're toxic, I'm slipping under."
You let out an angry grunt as Britney Spears' voice began to assert itself in the dorm. You couldn't let Britney ruin your plan.
"Uh..." Minato's body suddenly made a small moaning sound. Your eyes widened, begging to yourself that he wouldn't wake up. You ran into the bathroom once again. There was no way that you were going to let a song from 2004 ruin this moment.
You exited the bathroom with a few pieces of toilet paper in your hand. You walked over to Minato and began to desperately roll the paper up to form earplugs.
"Taste of your poison paradise. I'm addicted to you, don't you know that you're toxic?" Britney continued to sing as you placed the makeshift earplugs into his ears. You quickly grabbed the tube of toothpaste you had grabbed from the bathroom earlier and added a unibrow onto Minato's face.
Luckily, your quiet giggles couldn't be heard over the music. However, a quiet sound couldn't be blocked out by the annoyingly loud music. It sounded like someone was singing along to the music.
You glanced at Minato's lips and realized that they were moving lazily in sync with the song. How is that possible? He was sound asleep. How could he possibly be singing along to the song?
Your curiosity now being toyed with, you leaned your head in closer to listen to his voice. Amazingly, your eyes were not deceiving you. It seemed like the music had somehow wormed its way into his unconscious mind.
The music got even louder without any warning. "And I love what you do. Don't you know that you're toxic?" The music was so loud, it managed to shake the floor in rhythm with the song.
"Hm?!" Minato suddenly woke up, feeling the room vibrating. His whipped cream filled hand jerked up and slapped the side of your face. You stumbled backwards in shock and ended up tripping on the coffee table. Minato pulled the toilet paper earplugs out of his ears.
Minato immediately laughed at the sight of you, disheveled on the coffee table with whipped cream smeared on your face. "Hahaha! You're going to have to try harder to pull a prank like that on me!" Minato stated through his laughter.
You smirked at him and also began to laugh. "Look at yourself!" You commanded through your laughter.
Minato curiously grabbed his cellphone and looked at his reflection. "When did you do this?!" He asked, surprised by your joke.
"While you were asleep!" You replied, standing up from the coffee table.
Minato and yourself began to clean your faces off on your uniforms. "You can't just pull pranks on me while I'm asleep!" Minato replied.
"Then stop sleeping all the time!" You commented. "If you didn't sleep all the time, I wouldn't do this stuff to you!"
"I don't sleep all the time!" He argued.
"You sleep a lot! You know you do!" You responded.
"Oh yeah?! I bet that I can stay awake longer than you can!" He stated.
"Is that a challenge?!" You asked.
"Yeah! It is! First one to sleep loses! If I win, you have to wear a maid outfit for the day!" Minato suggested.
"Fine! If I win, you have to cross dress for a day!" You replied.
"Why are we yelling?!" Minato finally questioned.
"The people across the street are playing their music too loudly!" You explained. You didn't even realize that you had been shouting at him until he had said something.
"We should do something about it!" Minato shouted, trying to be heard over the music that seemed to be getting louder and louder.
"What can we do?!" You asked.
After a brief relieving silence, another song began to play throughout the dorm. "Superstar, where you from how's it going? I know you."
"Not a clue what you're doing." You quietly sang, the catchy song entering your mind.
"It's got a clue!" Minato shouted.
"Hm?" You hummed.
"It's "I got a clue what you're doing" not "not a clue what you're doing"!" Minato explained, somehow managing to hear you sing over the music.
"Really?! Are you sure?!" You asked.
"I'm positive!" Minato replied.
"I always thought it was "not a clue"!" You commented.
"It's not!" He responded.
"Womanizer woman womanizer you're a womanizer, oh, womanizer, oh, you're a womanizer baby. You, you, you are. You, you, you are. Womanizer womanizer womanizer."
"My throat hurts!" You yelled.
"Mine too! We need to stop this!" Minato yelled back.
Then, the dorm went silent again. It seemed like they had finished partying. Either that or the police came to check out a noise complaint.
"Is it over...?" Your hopeful voice questioned.
"I...I think so..." Minato muttered.
Then, the silence was ruined again. "It's Britney Bitch." The stereos began to play more Britney Spears songs.
"Arg!" You screamed, now thinking about going across the street and ripping off their heads.
"Who the hell blasts Britney Spears songs?!" Minato questioned.
"I can't take anymore!" You yelled.
Minato glanced at the Playstation 3 that was sitting on the floor next to the tv. Junpei had begged and begged Mitsuru to buy one for the dorm and he had finally gotten what he wanted.
Minato smiled. "I have an idea!" He yelled, turning on the PlayStation as you rushed over to him.
