Hidden XI

The whole palace shook as the loud bang was heard by everyone. The some of the guests lost their balance if it wasn't for the internal security that Mikan unlocked just before. Mikan would heave a sigh of relief if circumstances weren't that bad. A haughty laugh echoed through the ballroom, Mikan gritted her teeth while Youichi and Rei clenched their fists, controlling their anger.

"What an exciting party we have here, Crown Princess Sakura Mikan?"

"Koizumi Luna!" Mikan felt disgusted towards the strawberry blond. Mikan hated her and her knowledge of poisons, especially deadly ones. If it wasn't the fact where she had the cure, one of her brothers may have to take over the throne.

"Now now… You wouldn't want to crush that princess image of yours, wouldn't you?" Luna giggled, apparently enjoying herself from the entertainment that she created herself. An orange beam of light almost hit her, stopping her giggling. Mikan finished her chant and started with the new spell.

"Di Senti von yor jus mon lit."

Luna found herself frowning since it was a spell that only used by the Royal Family. Being exiled from the Underworld Kingdom has disadvantages: One would be unable to use underworld spells that puts everything perfect in her plan, and their body timings would be different unless declared a citizen by the Royal Family themselves, able to outlive a normal human. Luna wasn't very surprised with the effects that Mikan would cause, but it was only phase 1 of their plan, something that her father would want to complete without fail. Luna retreated, not before saying a sentence which made Mikan raise a brow.

But more pressing matters were the army that was being defeated by the two man team that had never been seen before. One was fully dressed in black while the other was in white. They wore masks in respective to their colors and there carved a deep red rose at the side. The one in black sat on the veranda, not caring if he or she is going to fall anytime soon. The other just stood next to her, leaning onto the rails. In a blink of an eye, the duo disappeared.

Mikan stared in disbelieve, never seen before. It was definitely unheard of those two! A black rose was left at their wake, but Mikan had more pressing matters to attend to.

"Luna, let's go. We're done here." A man, more specifically a child called out to her. Luna smiled at the child disappearing along with him. Mikan left herself relaxed, and started to look around. The mess created by the Koizumi Family had really done up a damage onto the area. But more importantly, Mikan didn't know whether to feel relief or worried that her coronation had just been ruined. So that means….

"Princess Mikan! Are you alright?" One of the royal guards ran up to her, hoping that she was not injured. The others who were tied to the fight went towards her in hopes of their precious princess and future Queen being alive.

"I'm fine everyone. Where are my brothers, Rei and Youichi?" Mikan gave them a smile.

"We're here, Mikan. The council has made a decision about you." Rei spoke.

"What about it?"

"You would have to stay in the human world for a while since there are people hunting you down." Youichi gave a solemn face, but Mikan knew better. He was happy that they could see each other much longer and the old geezers couldn't do anything about it!

"Guess we have to prepare Princess Mikan's trip to the human world again." The servants nodded as they agreed hesitantly. They held disgust towards humans after all.

Guess this is something good. Mikan mused.

Mikan felt that it was great to be back at the human world again. But on the other hand, school isn't easy as it was going to be. As funny as it is, Luna is part of T10, something that she wouldn't have expected. She wouldn't have mind the rest of the members, but this is Koizumi for goodness sake. A Soul Sucking Alice isn't a funny thing, especially when they can actually turn against you.

On the morning, Yuri greeted Mikan happily as she came back from her 'trip', not knowing that she almost lost her to the Underworld Kingdom. Luna was nowhere to be found, something that eased to young brunette greatly. Since Yuri had classes of her own, she pouted on her way when Mikan made a promise to her that she would pick up the young raven from her class.

Certainly a day without any situation is indeed weird for Mikan. Having to wonder what was the feeling arising, Youichi approached her. making no eye contact, Youichi asked.

"Mikan-nee, is it alright if you could… come with me and meet the others?" Youichi fidgeted nervously, wondering if she could say a yes. The gang had been hounding him to introduceher, leaving him very frustrated to the core.

"Sure…" Mikan definitely had a bad feeling to it. Upon reaching the special room that T10 had, Mikan stared at the majestic door boringly. Do they have to make it so fancy in the first place?

All she would know they may be laughing their heads off. Youichi opened the door, which the people occupying it turned their heads with an exception of a genius inventor and a raven.

"Hello, Youichi. Is… that the new student with you?" Ruka patted his rabbit in such an affectionate way that Mikan needed time to adjust to that lovable scene.

"So You-kun is asking me to come with me for this?" Mikan raised her eye, pretending to be curiously questioning their actions.

It had seemed like not really everyone wanted to meet the brunette, but Hotaru and a few of them decided if it was interesting for the new transfer student to be part of the gang.

Mikan looked around the area, secretly happy at the moment that her enemy decided to not to show herself at the moment. But then…

One of her Alices appeared at that moment, revealing something to her. Mikan internally frowned, wishing that it was not what she thought. Youichi was introducing when he found out that Mikan was daydreaming again.

"Oi, Mikan-nee. Earth to Mikan…" Youichi waved his hand, when Mikan's normal hazel eyes turned Sapphire at that instant before blinking. Mikan groaned at the power of the side effect towards her eyes, crutching it.

"Mikan-nee?" Youichi wanted to touch her, but something was pushing him away. The rest of the T10 (including Natsume) turned towards the brunette who suddenly let out a scream.

"What in the world…" Persona was going to punish whoever entered the special classroom, only to find Mikan on the floor, crutching her eyes that were flowing blood out.

"Mikan!" Persona lifted his sister up and rushed out of the room, followed by Youichi.

"Oi Mikan! Please reply me!" Persona rushed through his way, not bothered about what the other students are going to say. Mikan is his sister for goodness sake, and nothing stops family relationships!

"Mama….. Papa…." Mikan murmured as tears, or rather blood flowed out of her eyes. "Why….." Mikan spoke in gibberish that most wouldn't understand, but Persona and Youichi knew better. It was the language that their Kingdom spoke when in secrecy, and what Mikan spoke of wasn't of any sense.

"Hang on, Mikan-nee!" Youichi bit his lip, not caring if it was going to bleed.

"Youichi, I'm going to use it." Persona, instead of running to the hospital, went to his room instead.

"What?! You can't do that!" To all his due knowledge, using it for Persona was like suicide. "You could die, Rei-nii!"

Persona took off his mask and shook his head. "Not anymore, Youichi." He took off his white ring and stared at it fondly. It had helped him control his magic and well, his Alice. Wings of grey feathers sprouted out on his back and engulfed Mikan's face. Little bright lights seemed to be playing around with the feathers, and if anyone sees this, they would have thought it was a fallen angel right in front of them.

"La efil ot vesa, et sert ni acpe." Youichi had never seen any brighter lights than this in his life. He had heard of stories by the servants in the palace that they have called his own dearest brother a monster, yet they were so awestruck whenever he walked pass them. Like he wasn't from their world, an omnipotent, as of what the Humans would say.

Youichi shivered in awe and excitement at the moment. It was no wonder why everyone wanted his power so desperately! Unlike his Death Alice, his magic was on a whole new level. No, his magic was one of the most powerful in the kingdom, and that made Youichi wonder how his father managed to control his brother at that time.

Mikan was completely clean of blood and she was breathing normally without the previous side effects that affected her, like nothing had happened.

One of the grey feathers had turned black as Rei finished his process, plucking it off. He winced at the slight pain of the feather being plucked and showed it Youichi.

"Youichi," The younger of the two stared at the black feather in front of him. "This is called the feather of death. It contains the death effects one could impossibly have before dying."

"Rei-nii, what's with the sudden introduction of your power? Are you trying to scare me off?" Youichi asked jokingly, pushing away the sudden heavy pressure.

"Of course not." Rei smiled fondly at his brother. "But I'll need to do this not to harm you." Rei's eyes sharpened, and threw the feather as swiftly as it could. A estranged scream cracked the silence as Youichi went wide-eyed.

The man that was there stared at Rei in fear. [Monster] was the only word that Rei could only make out before the man turned into a pile of ashes.

"Rei-nii…" Youichi's eyes were covered by his bangs. "WERE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!" Rei laughed at that reaction.

"Of course not. Unless you want your dearest brother to be in trouble for having such a power." Rei's eyes shone with glee, but Youichi picked up something different. An informant was trying to get away with the information he just saw.

Youichi's eyes softened as though he hadn't seen one turned to a pile of ashes. "Sorry Rei-nii." Rei shook his head, signaling that it was fine. In turn of the black feather that once housed there, a white feather replaced its spot.

"See this white feather, Youichi? In place of the death feather, this feather gives life in return," Rei took off the white feather and left it in a glass container and sealed it. "And I'm going to give it to you."

"Why?" It was the most simplest word at the moment, but Rei gave the most complex smile.

"In times where you or anyone you love is in danger, you can use that feather to help them recover that life."

"So I can use it on you or Mikan-nee?" Rei shook his head.

"I can't die that easily and I could help Mikan recover since I'm usually within watching distance, but you are our little brother. We don't want you to end up in trouble for just being a royal prince; you need to have your own remedies to help yourself." Rei paused for a moment before he continued. "Mikan has her Healing and Duplication Alice, while I have my wings to help me recover. In return, there are injuries and deaths we could cause by our Alices and Magic. But we need you to be safe."

"Hey! I have my ghosts, alright?" Rei deferred to agree. "That will never be enough."

"What will you know!?" Youichi shouted at him.

"I know. I know this all too well…." Rei covered his face with his mask, preventing Youichi from seeing his face. "I thought I was ready that time! I failed to protect someone, alright!?"

Youichi bit his lip. He hadn't thought of his brother's feelings that much when he said all the words to protect him and all, but it all came down to experience. After all, a small amount of knowledge will never correspond to years of experience.

"Sorry…" Rei walked towards Youichi and ruffled his hair. Rei placed the ring back to his finger and retracted back his wings.

"Don't worry, Youichi."

Was it that bad to the point where no one reviews about this story?

Thankfully the motivation of the story hasn't died out like MSL (Mikan's Secret Life). Anyways, for those who waited for two years, I'm back (temporary)!

Review? Please?
