Yes, hello, it is I, I have updated. I don't own pokemon. I hope you enjoy.

As soon as my hand disturbed the Time Gear's placement, the whole world began to shake. The space where the Time Gear had been turned gray. Taking Time Gears froze areas. There wasn't time for an evacuation. This would be another reason to make sure time gets fixed. Kitten could not be born again, these humans could not live if I failed.

The humans came at me, but I was too quick for them. I dodged the arms of the purple haired one, Ryan, and jumped off of his face to propel myself to the entrance. Once I exited the library everything was a blur. It was a mad dash to get out of the area before the freeze caught up with me, but I managed to leave the island in one piece.

I washed up on the beach and looked back. It was a perfectly preserved, gray little place. It was despair personified, but then, I might be getting a little too poetic here. I turned my back on that place forever and moved on. The next Time Gear would be...Treeshroud Forest. I whipped out my map. Yep, that was it. Treeshroud Forest. It wouldn't be more than a day's travel. There wasn't time to waste.

I glanced down at my hand holding the Time Gear. It was so small, weird that this little trinket was supposed to save the world. Whatever. I tucked it back into my treasure bag.

"Penny for your thoughts?" a Misdreavus appeared in front of me. "Something seems to be weighing on you."

"I have nothing against you, but get out of my way." I brushed her off.

"Come on now...you want to talk about something." I rolled my eyes and dashed forward. Everyone needed to stay out of my way. Treeshroud Forest, to the southwest...

I got the Time Gear in Treeshroud Forest. Then I moved on to my next target: Fogbound Lake.

This would be somewhat harder because of the hidden lake and the guardian. One wrong move, one hesitation and I could lose all my memories. Uxie, the guardian of Fogbound Lake, was the guardian of the Time Gear. Not only could he project near perfectly lifelike illusions, but he could wipe memories at will. I would forget my mission and then...Kitten...it would have been meaningless.

After several days of travel, I approached Foggy Forest. It...well...it wasn't foggy at all.

What?

Did someone else place Groudon's heart back where it belonged?

Oh, yes, that's right. The Wigglytuff Guild managed to do that. I read about it in their log. This at least gave a time reference. I still had some good time. I was making good progress. However...having to defeat guardians and solve puzzles, as well as finding my way back to the Hidden Land...would take more time. There was still not a second to waste.

The forest was bright and clear, everything a vibrant green. The sun shined brightly and warmed my skin. All was at peace, all except me. The world of darkness was coming, and the light of the Time Gears would stop it. I quickly found the plateau and climbed up. None of the Pokemon stopped me, none, of course, except Uxie's Groudon illusion.

"I know you're coming, just get on with it." I said under my breath. A primal roar erupted from the cave ahead, and out came Groudon. What a lucky matchup, a ground type against a grass type. I'd slaughter it.

The thing was massive, a gigantic red beast, just as the statue depicted. Something that large couldn't possibly be fast.

It swiped at me with claws that were taller than I was. Whoever made the first move was inevitably the loser. I flipped backwards, then launched myself forward and landed a leaf blade right on its head. It reeled back, trying to regain balance. I took a seed out of my bag and looked at it. Sleep seed. I threw it at Groudon and it exploded into powder. Groudon inhaled it and fell over, deeply asleep.

I used Leaf Blade again and again until I was sure it would not get back up. It turned into static and disappeared. It was simply an illusion after all. I did not make that fight fair, but there was no time for that. I walked forward, onto the shores of Fogbound Lake. Uxie was there waiting for me. As I approached, he began to speak.

"Hm...I knew it. I knew I shouldn't have trusted them. That soon after they left...another Pokemon would come to steal the Time Gear. I should have done it. I should have taken their memories when I had the chance."

I came to a full stop a few feet in front of him. This so called guardian was just a small floating Pokemon...less than half my size. Appearances could be deceiving, but still I wasn't worried much.

"I don't know exactly what you're talking about...but you're wrong. No one led me here. No one told me about this place. I've known about the presence of a Time Gear here...for a very long time." I tensed up, ready to spring myself into action, whether that be sprinting to the Time Gear or a possible conflict with Uxie. "I have no quarrel with you. But I am taking it with me. The third Time Gear!"

A look of horror spread across his face as I leaped past him into the lake and snatched the Time Gear right out of its alter.

"If you don't want to become one of the casualties, I suggest you run."

I dashed off...next was Underground Lake in the Northern Desert.

Okay this chapter is a little lame compared to other chapters but Grovyle by himself is kinda boring. He's not giving himself much time to think. Plus, I wanna get to the good parts asap, Grovyle with Kitten and Eric. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I will try to get the next one out soon.
