*With S.D.H.K.*
"I sense a strange chakra formation coming from in here," Kakuzu stated, kneeling, feeling the ground. "And I felt a chakra spike a few minutes ago coming from this direction."
"Then let's go," Sasori said. "Deidara, boom."
Deidara nodded, the mouth on his hand spitting out an insect-looking clay creation onto the ground. Deidara held his hands together in the appropriate hand seals. "Katsu!" he shouted. Immediately after the clay blew up, causing a crater to open in the ground, leading to a tunnel.
"That was fucking easy!" Hidan announced, loudly.
"Quiet, idiot," Kakuzu scolded. Hidan glared at his partner.
Deidara was the first to enter the tunnel, Sasori following not a moment after. Kakuzu and Hidan—still bickering—followed soon after. "We need light," Kakuzu noted.
Sasori nodded, though no one could see, shooting out a flurry of chakra strings before mentally forming them into a ball of light. They continued down the path, listening intently for noises giving away any signs of life.
*With Ayu*
"I don't want to see this," she tried to yell, ending up with a flow of blood streaming out of her mouth.
"Now, now, sister, be patient," Koko scolded her sister with a mocking look on her face. "Let's start with Mommy, ne?"
Ayu squeezed her eyes shut. She couldn't bare this. She couldn't watch Itachi die. She couldn't see how her mother had died. She couldn't…it ripped at her heart as she couldn't find it in herself to keep her eyes shut. Some unseen force was making her keep her eyes open.
She stared disgustedly at Koko murdering Itachi, the clone's blood splashed on her face, making her shudder. The clone didn't disappear after it was struck, it stayed bleeding in Itachi's form.
Koko continued her assault on the same clone until it lay unmoving. Ayu stared at Itachi's unmoving form, scared, traumatized, crying.
I just watched Itachi die, she thought, mortified. She was frozen, her mouth agape. She couldn't talk, couldn't breathe. Her whole world stopped.
Itachi's dead…she knew deep down that he was still alive and out there, looking for her, but…there he lays, cold unmoving, bleeding.
"Aw, I broke her," Koko sneered. "Best not kill us anymore," one of the Itachi's said. Koko nodded in agreement.
"I'll just show her…by firsthand experience," Koko grinned deviously, holding out her hands, swords made of pure chakra forming in them. They grew, and the blue chakra turned black in a threatening way.
The three living Itachis disappeared, and she stalked towards Ayu threateningly. Ayu didn't react. She only stared at the unmoving form of the Itachi clone that was still there, still dead. Not moving.
Her whole world was crashing down on her and she started to scream, tears streaming down her face as she jerked in her seat, yelling incoherent sentences with the plentiful curses.
"Now, now, sister, hush now. It'll all be over soon," Koko cooed, pressing the tip of the chakra kantana into Ayu's cheek.
Ayu didn't register the danger she was in, all she could think of was pure black rage. It clouded her vision and fueled her to fight past the pain she was in.
Koko grew tired of the girl and quickly slashed the side of her face,. Drawing blood. She smirked, but it immediately turned into a frown when Ayu didn't even flinch. She just kept yelling.
Koko twitched, losing her patience quickly. "SHUT UP!" she yelled, slashing away at Ayu with both the swords. Ayu had cuts all over her body and torso, her clothes were torn and bloody.
If Ayu felt any pain, she didn't show it. Her anger blocked out everything except for the crumpled up bloody form of her love. "ITACHI!" she screeched, jerking forward to hold him. Her bindings held her back, ripping away at the skin on her wrists.
Koko couldn't control her chakra anymore and her chakra kantanas disappeared and she punched Ayu over and over.
"WHY! WON'T! YOU! SHUT! UP!" she demanded, each word accentuated with a punch.
She kept yelling. She just wouldn't be quiet. Minute by minute Ayu became less and less recognizable.
*S.D.H.K.*
A piercing shriek echoed throughout the formerly silent tunnel. "ITACHI! NO, DON'T…FUCKING! ITACHI…AND…"
"That sounds like Ayu, yeah," Deidara commented, heading towards the source of the noise.
"It could be a trap," Kakuzu said, pulling Deidara back.
Deidara pulled away from Kakuzu's grip, looking to Sasori who nodded. Deidara ran down the length of the tunnel with Sasori and Hidan right behind him, Kakuzu sighing and lagging behind.
They came to a door. Hidan tried to open it. "It's locked," he said.
"No, duh, un!" Deidara glared. "Move aside…Katsu!"
The door burst open.
*With Itachi*
Itachi and Kisame stood in Pein's dark room. "The Notkatsuki," Pein said, not looking up from his linked fingers. "Is after the Bijuu and I have reason to believe that they are planning an attack to get the Bijuu we have collected."
Kisame nodded, but Itachi remained still. "Wouldn't Zetsu be better equipped for this mission-"
"You are a better choice because you have the man power to do so," Pein interrupted.
Itachi nodded hesitantly, Kisame sending him a worried look. Pein continued. "You are to head out as soon as possible, go!" Pein shooed them away.
They obeyed, exiting the room, bowing their heads in respect. Kisame stopped his partner once they closed the door. "Itachi-"
He didn't continued and watched said Uchiha walk away, disappearing into his room. "Okay…" Kisame sighed before walking in the other direction his partner had gone.
