Percy POV
Percy stared at the wall for a while before turning and heading back to Natasha and Clint. He tried to smile but just couldn't force himself to. Natasha was staring at him with sympathy in her eyes as she asked, "Who has Raven?" Percy felt himself blink in surprise as Clint stated, "We uh sort of overheard the conversation you had on the phone." Percy felt himself wince as he said, "Mike Monorston." Natasha seemed to hesitate before she spoke, then she said, "Go. Clint will tell Director Fury and I'll tail you and the person who's leading you to wherever their keeping Raven." Percy stared at her in surprise. "You'd do that for her?" he asked quietly.
"Yes," Natasha said. "Now go." Percy nodded and turned away. He felt Natasha slip in behind him and follow him as he walked through the building toward the entrance. He took a deep breath and exited the building walking to the corner designated by Mike Monorston. When he got close he heard Natasha whisper, "Good luck, Percy," before slipping away into the shadows. Percy moved in quietly. He stood at the corner glancing around. Percy felt himself jump when someone appeared beside him. "Hello Jackson," the redhead said smirking at him with confidence. Percy felt himself stiffen. "Grace?" he said quietly. "It can't really be you."
"But it is." Grace hissed. "You thought that you killed me Jackson, but you didn't Mike Monorston saved me because he unlike the Kingpin saw my worth." Percy felt himself stare at her before saying, "How could you do this Grace? How could you betray the Kingpin, your sister, me?" "It was rather easy," snarled Grace. "The thing is I can't believe that my sister actually fell for your game. I always thought that Raven would know better than to fall for someone like you." Percy continued to stare. Then Grace broke the silence. "Come on Perseus you want to see Raven again don't you?" Percy followed her. He could feel his shock fading. Now he was silently preparing for whatever Mike Monorston had in mind for him.
They arrived at a warehouse in the bad part of New York. Grace opened the door and went in. Percy followed her. Then he was taking in all of his surroundings. A man with impish features was standing next to a door at the far side of the room. Several guards including Ray Deprino where standing around in the room. In the center though was Raven. She was sitting in a chair. Before Percy could stop himself he darted over to her. He was by her side in the next moment. She smirked when she saw him. Then she said, "I knew you would come." "Of course I came, Rae" Percy murmured. "I'm so sorry about this." He told her as he touched her lovingly. Raven shrugged and smiled at him, "It's not your fault Jackson. Though I expect that next time you'll do as I ask on my birthday." Percy grinned, "No problem."
Then he looked up at the man and said, "Mike Monorston, I presume." The man grinned and said, "Indeed Perseus Jackson. Welcome to my humble home." Percy glance around before he said, "It could use some color, Mikie" Mike Monorston stiffened before he said; "You will not call me Mikie, Mr. Jackson. As I am about to be your new boss, you will refer to me as Mr. Monorston." "Unlikely," Percy stated. Mike smirked then nodded to Ray. Ray pulled out gun and pointed it at Raven. Percy stiffened then he said coldly, "If even try to kill her, you'll die." Ray scowled. "Grace," Mike said, "Could you get a uniform that will fit Mr. Jackson." Percy narrowed his eyes and said, "Sorry Joining one organization today is enough for me." Mike stiffened and then snarled, "How could you want to join SHIELD?" Percy then finally got why the Kingpin wanted him to work with Natasha. It was because Mike Monorston wanted him and the Kingpin could have had Percy try to kill him but, if he had failed Mike would have gained an asset. By working with Natasha he had an escape route out if Mike wasn't killed.
Percy was about to snap something else when three other people entered the room. Percy stiffened. It was Annabeth, Jason, and Piper. Jason then said, "Listen Percy…." Percy held out his hand to stop him from talking. He glared at them. Why were they here? Mike smiled. Percy felt his rage finally snap. The walls began to break apart into many pieces. Mike then spoke, "I see you Percy Jackson. I see how close you are to going insane. I am the only way out." Percy then spoke, "You'll never be the way out." Then all hell broke loose.
Natasha POV
Natasha watched as Percy lost control. He was literally glowing in rage. Raven was reaching for him talking to him, trying to get him to stop as stuff in the warehouse began to rise and shatter. Percy's eyes were unseeing but Natasha jumped down from her perch and began to run to him as Mike Monorstons men began to try to get him out. The girl, Grace blocked her way though. She growled at her and leaped. Natasha wove out of the way and began to fight the girl. Natasha took a deep breath and surprised the girl with a move she obviously didn't expect. Natasha broke the girl's neck killing her instantly.
Then she turned to Percy and Raven. Raven was trying to talk sense into him but Natasha darted forward remembering what Percy had told her about getting away fast. She grabbed Raven and began to pull the girl away from her boyfriend. "NOOO!" Raven screamed, "I can help him. Let me go." Natasha spoke to her gently, "Percy would never forgive me if I let something happen to you, Raven." Natasha felt her earpiece buzz. "Nat it's me." Clint's voice said, "Fury and I are here and we have the antidote. We're going to have to inject it the painful way though through the head." Natasha nodded in confirmation and held tight to Raven as a bullet flew towards Percy.
It was a direct hit. Natasha closed her eyes in fear as Clint rushed forward to check for a pulse. Then he nodded at her. Natasha sighed in relief.
Percy was alive.
