Chapter 11
A/N: Oh yeah. About this story, starting with this chapter things start to get a little triggering but we tried not to dwell too deep into these things. Just a warning for mild things. Well, maybe not so mild? You can decide. I think it starts with this chapter? Gosh, what kind of author am I?
Robert sat on his throne and turned, smiling at Alina. He had forced her to become his queen, just to annoy Arien. Alina was quietly staring at the ground, thinking.
"Are you hungry?" He asked, lifting her chin with his hand.
"No," she said softly, looking at him.
"Well, I am." He jerked a chain which was sitting on the arm of the chair. Bella stumbled forward with a tray of snacks. A large metal collar was fastened around her neck. "Feed me." Bella winced and picked up a cracker, gently placing it in Robert's mouth.
"You are really abusing your power..." Alina said quietly, looking at him.
He growled. "Don't tell me what to do or I'll hurt Arien again." Alina whimpered and looked down.
"Y-yes, sir.." she said quietly. Robert turned, making Bella feed him again.
He pulled back. "Slave!" he called and Charles walked in slowly, dressed in an old waiter's uniform. He kept him in line by threatening Bella. "Get me my sword." Alina bit her lip, wondering what Robert was going to do. Charles bowed and scurried off to get the sword.
Robert stood up and stretched. He held out his hand for the sword, waiting. Charles handed the sword to him, making sure it was the handle end. Alina watched quietly. Robert walked forward and opened the door. He touched a button and an image of Opal appeared. "Hello, Empress Opal. How is ruling Haven treating you?"
"I do have to say it's quite boring," Opal sighed, pushing hair behind her ear. "But I do like to force the little mudboy and his girlfriend to do things," she grinned. Robert chuckled.
"You know. I could come for a visit. I remember when they all first arrived in the Underland, Charles and Artemis both had a thing for Bella. We could torture them a little."
"That does sound fun," Opal smiled. "Come whenever you like."
"I'll be there soon," he smiled and ended the call. "SLAVE!"
"Yes, sir?" Charles said hurrying over to him. Alina was still sitting, watching Robert.
"Get my and Alina's things ready to go. We are taking a trip. Oh and bring the sexy maid outfit for Bella." A sneer spread across his lips. Charles bowed and went to do as he told.
Soon, Robert was walking toward Opal's "castle" with Alina by his side and Bella's chain gripped tightly in his hand. Charles was walking behind him as well. Alina was quiet, staring at the ground and wanting to see Arien badly. Robert opened the door.
"Empress Opal," he smiled. "So nice to see you."
"As to you," Opal smiled at him. She clapped her hands for Holly to come in. Holly walked in, electric shock collar around her neck.
"Yes, milady?" she said through gritted teeth.
"Help King Robert's slave carry his luggage to his room," Opal said glaring at her slightly. Holly bowed again and walked over to Charles, taking some of the bags.
"Follow me," Holly told Charles. She walked up the stairs. Charles followed silently. Opal looked at Robert.
"Would you like me to take Bella off your hands for a little while?"
"Be my guest." He walked forward, handing her the chain. "I'll just be in my room." He grabbed Alina roughly by the arm and dragged her upstairs. Opal clapped for Trouble to come in, grinning slightly.
Trouble walked in, eyes dull. "Yes, ma'am?"
"Take this girl to the 'room' she'll be staying in." Trouble nodded and took the chain. He led her down the hallway.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered and opened a cell, letting her walk in before shutting the door.
Alina sat quietly on the bed, not saying a word. Robert looked at her. "Cheer up," he growled. "You're bumming me out."
"Sorry, Sir.." Alina said quietly. "I don't know how to cheer up." She was looking at him, wondering what he was going to do to her now. He smiled.
"I know. Get undressed." Alina whimpered, but did as he said. He laughed and pushed her back on the bed. "Oh wait. One more thing." He snapped his fingers and Arien was dragged in and chained to the wall. "Now he can watch." Robert kissed her roughly. Alina didn't respond, just letting him.
"You need to kiss back or I'll hurt him," he growled. Alina bit her lip and began to kiss back almost immediately.
Robert walked into the throne room with a large smile. "Morning, Empress Opal. How was your night?"
"Oh, it was just fabulous, yours?" Opal said sarcastically.
"Fine, fine. Are you ready for some torturing?" he sat on the steps beside her so he was below her still.
"I'm always ready," she grinned.
"Be my guest," he gestured for her to start. Opal clapped for Artemis to come in and Trouble to bring Bella in. Trouble slowly walked in, handing the chain to Robert. Bella stared at the ground. Artemis came in, wondering what he was needed for. He froze, seeing Bella. Robert chuckled and called for Charles.
"Yes, sir?" Charles said walking in. Robert chuckled and looked at Opal.
"What to do first?"
"Let's do little Arty," Opal grinned.
"Alright. Go ahead." Opal clapped again for Trouble.
Trouble walked over. "Yes, ma'am?"
"Beat the girl." Trouble closed his eyes.
"Yes, ma'am..." He walked over to Bella. "I'm so sorry," he whispered and began to punched her over and over. Artemis watched quietly, no emotion on his face. Charles had his eyes shut tightly, not able to watch.
"Open your eyes," Robert growled at Charles. Charles did as Robert said, watching as Bella was hurt. Artemis wasn't even flinching.
"This isn't working for Artemis," she muttered.
"Hmm. Stop," Robert commanded Trouble. He leaned up and whispered something into Opal's ear. An evil grin spread across her face.
"Artemis, come here." The boy walked forward and Opal smiled wider. "Now, mudboy, beat her."
Artemis looked at Bella, who was whimpering on the ground, for a second. He ignored the shock collar on around his neck. "No. I won't."
Opal growled and pressed a button, shocking him. "Now!" Artemis let out a cry of pain, falling to his knees.
"No!" he repeated, wincing.
Opal turned up the level of electricity and pressed it again. "NOW!"
Artemis screamed now. "NO!"
"Stop! Stop!" came a cry. Bella was struggling against the chains. "Artemis just do what they say." Artemis shook his head. He rather die than hurt Bella. Charles was staring at Artemis in disbelief. "Artemis please... It hurts me more to see you hurt..."
Artemis closed his eyes tightly, eyes he stood up. Footsteps echoed off the walls as he walked toward Bella. He began to do as what Opal commanded. Charles watched silently. He knew better than to interfere.
"That's enough," Opal said. Artemis stopped, taking a few steps away from Bella. "You are both dismissed." Artemis and Charles began to leave.
"Trouble!" she snapped. Trouble walked in. "Take the girl away."
Alina lay on the bed, blanket wrapped tightly around herself and eyes closed.
"Alina?" Arien said softly, looking up at her.
"Yes?" Alina said, not moving or opening her eyes.
"Are you alright, love?"
"Of course not.."
"I'm so sorry," he hung his head.
"It's not your fault, Arien..." Alina said quietly.
"I should have stopped him. I'm so sorry..."
"You couldn't have stopped him Arien..." Arien looked up at her.
"I feel like I've failed you..." Alina kept the blanket around herself as she stood up. She walked slowly over to him.
"You haven't," she said and gently kissed him. He kissed back, eyes closing.
He pulled away. "Unlock me."
"I-I can't.. I don't have the key..."
"Use the sword and cut the chains," he said, looking up at her. Alina nodded and went over to the bed. She took Robert's sword and walked back over to Arien, beginning to cut at the chains as best as she could. She had to only use one hand because the other clutched the blanket to cover her naked body.
Arien rubbed his hands and kissed her again. "You are amazing," he smiled, then took the sword. "Hide in the closet." He walked toward the throne room. Alina quietly slipped into the closet, keeping the blanket tightly around her.
Arien kicked down the door, interrupting a conversation between Opal and Robert. "It's time you were dethroned," he growled. Opal's eyes widened and she quickly pressed a button for the guards to come in. Arien ran forward, sword raised. Robert reached for his, but it wasn't there. Arien slashed, creating a deep wound in Opal's chest. Opal gasped, clutching her chest as her magic began to try and heal it. Arien continued to slash at Opal until he was pulled back by guards.
Opal was slumped in her chair, magic gently flickering and beginning to run out. Arien struggled in the guard's grip. He looked up as Robert took the sword from him.
"Now. It is time to die," he growled, raising the sword.
Holly gasped as she heard. "Artemis! Trouble! Opal is wounded! We need to attack now!" Artemis nodded.
"We need weapons though," Artemis said glancing toward the kitchen.
"Then we'll get weapons." She ran around and gathered as many people as she could. "Ready everyone?" They nodded and she kicked in the door, rushing in and grabbing as many weapons as possible. As they armed themselves, Holly and Trouble whispered about battle plans.
"Are we ready?" Artemis said walking up to Holly and Trouble.
"Yes," Trouble said. "Come on soldiers!" They ran into the throne room and stopped. This was not the scene they meant to find.
Opal sat dead on her throne, blood pooling around her, eyes open and staring. Arien was on the floor also in a pool of his own blood, but Robert was nowhere to be found.
"Artemis, go and see if Bella is still here. Holly, go try and find Alina. Medic! Try and heal the man." Trouble barked orders as if it hadn't been a year since he was Commander.
Artemis nodded and rushed toward the cells only to find them empty.
Alina still sat quietly in the closet, wrapping the blanket tighter around herself. A loud slam told her that the door was forced open. Alina bit her lip, trying to hide behind the clothes. Footsteps echoed around the room, and there was more slamming. The closet door was pulled open. Alina looked up as the light was poured onto her, wrapping the blanket even tighter around her body.
"Alina?" a soft familiar voice floated through the thick clothes.
"Holly..?" Alina said quietly.
"Yeah. It's me." The elf offered her a hand. Alina took it and stood up, wrapping the blanket a little tighter.
"Come on. Let's find your clothes." Holly led her into the room and began searching through piles of clothes.
"Where are the bags...?" Alina said softly.
"I don't know," Holly sighed. "We think Robert might have escaped. But Opal is dead and Haven is free so we will do everything in our power to stop him." Alina nodded.
"Arien..? Is he okay?"
"I... He was badly hurt when I last saw him..." Holly sighed and handed the young girl a dress. Alina bit her lip and put the dress on quickly.
"What about Charles..?"
"I don't know...We haven't found him or Bella or Robert..."
"If Robert hurts him.." Alina said quietly, tears coming to her eyes.
"Don't worry. We'll find them. Now come on," she walked back to the main room with Alina to find Trouble and Artemis talking. "Find anything?"'
"No," Trouble sighed. "Artemis was just giving me his report. And Arien is alive, but in a comatose state."
"How long does that last..?" Alina said quietly.
"I don't know. Our warlock are doing the best we can." Alina nodded, biting her lip a little harder.
A group walked over to Trouble. "Any sign of the boy?" Trouble asked. The leader shook his head. Alina bit her lip even harder. "Alright, let's get this place cleaned up."
"Arien and now Charles.." Alina said quietly, sitting down.
A/N: God Alina, you're such a drama queen
