Bubbles P.O.V.

"Need a lift?" I heard a stranger's voice ask me.

I turned to look at a mid- twenties looking guy with hazel eyes and an easy smile driving a black Ferari.

"And you are?" I questioned, skeptically.

My uneasiness seemed to amuse him, "Just a guy looking to help out a stranger."

I continued to eye him doubtfully.

He laughed a little, "My hands will stay firmly planted on the steering wheel, I swear."

I sighed in defeat before climbing in the passenger seat. "Where do you need to go?" He asked, that smile still on his face.

"Townsville. Is that too far?"

I asked and he shook his head, "I was heading out that way already. Should be about twenty minutes."

I nodded mutely, still to angry to make nice with the stranger.

"So how'd you get out here?" He asked and I had to stifle a groan of annoyance.

He was a chatter bug.

"Went for a walk. Got lost." I said shortly.

He didn't seem to notice my impatience, "What could of made you want to walk ths far?"

"None of your dang business!" I huffed.

He chuckled, irritating me further, "Just making conversation."

I frowned, feeling guilty, "I'm sorry. I've been having a bad night."

He grinned, "Don't worry about it. What's your name?"

"Bubbles."

I answered and he raised an eyebrow at me, "Bubbles Utonium? From TV?"

My stomach churned. Is that what all strangers would recognize me as?

"The one and only." I sighed, sadly.

Before we could continue the conversation, a red mustang cruised by with four people screaming my name.

"Shoot." I mumbled, "Can you pull over?"

He did and I said, "Thanks for the ride. I'll see you around."

I jogged over to the car and it came to a stop. Mitch, Tyler, Buttercup, and Robin jumped out and rushed me.

"You dumb ass!" Buttercup shrieked, hugging me so tightly I couldn't breath.

"Hi." I choked out and she let go.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" Robin snarled.

I crossed my arms, "You were all lying to me. I was upset, I still am."

Mitch rolled his eyes, "Stop being such a child and get in the damn car."

I opened my mouth to snap at him, but a cool fall breeze hit my exposed flesh and I nodded mutely.

I climbed in and sat between Buttercup and Tyler. Tyler had retreated back into his furious silence that I was getting used to.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled after about five minutes.

"Sorry isn't going to cut it this time!" Buttercup barked.

"It's time for you to stop acting so recklessly and grasp the severity of the situation! Mike wants to kill you." Mitch spoke clearly and in hs dangerous sort of calm.

I kept my feet on my shoes as I murmured, "I realize this."

He scoffed, "Do you? Because you're sure as hell not acting like it. Running off every fucking chance you get! Do you understand what all he's going to do once he captures you?"

I bit my lip, "Yes."

"NO! No you don't! If you did you would know better! He'll-"

"That's enough, Mitch." Buttercup monotoned.

He snorted, "No, it's not. She needs to be scared."

I tensed up as I heard that and Yyler put a reassuring arm around my shoulder.

"Take your fucking arm off of her Tyler." Mitch hissed in a tone cold enough to freeze the sun.

I gasped and Mitch suddenly brought the car to a complete stop. He got out and I gulped as he threw the right back door open.

"Tyler, move." Mitch commanded and Tyler reluctantly obeyed, knowing he would be moved one way or another.

Mitch grabbed my arm and jerked me out of the car. I yelped as he slammed me against the side if the car.

"DO YOU WANT THIS TO HAPPEN?!" He shouted in my face.

I sniffled as tears started to fill my eyes, "Let me go."

His grip tightened on my arms considerably and I whimpered.

Tyler grabbed him by the back of his shirt and pulled him off of me,

"Chill out Mitch." He took a deep breath and seemed to calm down.

"I'm sorry Bubbles." He said, looking ashamed.

I smiled slightly, "Don't worry about it. I think everyone's a little upset."

Everyone got back in the car and Buttercup started to glare at Mitch.

"If I see any bruises on her tomorrow your ass is grass and my tazer's the mower, capiche?" She growled.

He nodded once and the unneasy silence started up again.

A few minutes later Robin cleared her throat, "I heard that everyone who won their state battle of the bands is meeting up downtown."

"For what?" Tyler asked.

She wrinkled her nose, "I think it was called a rip off? I've never-"

She was cut off by my squeal of excitement, "A riff off?! Oh my goodness, this is going to be so much fun! Okay, so did anyone see Pitch Perfect?"

I got a bunch of blank looks from everyone in the car.

I rolled my eyes, "It's a competition where different groups compete with one another. Who ever finishes a full song first wins. But you get to cut in to- well, it's hard to explain. You'll get it when we get there. Bring your instruments."

"When is it?" Mitch asked.

"Tomorrow night. I heard about it from Marcy Bellum, apparently there's going to be a crowd." Buttercup said.

I cheered, "This is gonna be so much fun!"

"Spaz." Tyler sighed.

I smacked him playfully on the leg, "I am not just a spaz. I'm spaztastic."

We arrived at my house then and Buttercup and I went in with a little wave goodbye to everyone else.

"Goodnight BC." I yawned and started walking up the steps.

"Night." She returned, already dead to the world.

I walked in my room and was fast asleep before my head hit the pillow.
