charter 11: Explosions!

Christine's POV

Mike followed me, and I mentally counteddown from,

8... 7...6...5...4...3...2...!

"HIT THE DECK!" I yelled as the car behind us blew up.

Mike dove to the ground, while I flew into KITT. Landing on his hood, on my stomach.

" well... Ouch... That hurt!" I said sliding off KITT's hood, a small smile on my face.

Mike got up and started walking toward me, holding his arm. Turns out that he scrapped it pretty bad when he fell.

I on the other hand, was perfectly fine. I guess I have KITT to thank for that! We went back to look at the exploded car.

"Where are the people?!" Mike asked.

I thought logically, " blown to little bits and pieces!" I said with a shrug.

"Wait!... Where's the laser cannon?" Mike asked.

"N...not here! If it blew up,... That's good! If it didn't,... And they still have it,... That's bad! REALLY REALLY BAD!" I said.

As a black car flew by us, and when I looked at it, I got a sence of 'dayjvoo'. I saw back to when I was first kidnapped, the car had everything blacked out, and a...

" ... Football license plate!" I said randomly.

"W..what?" Mike asked.

" that's the car that grabbed me in the first place! We gotta get that car!" I said running back to KITT, getting in the passenger side this time. Mike barely had time to shut the door before KITT took off!

I shrieked as we flew around corners, grabbing on to the door. We pulled up next to the black car, and it rolled its windows down, something glistening behind it.

"What the...ahhhhhh" I screamed as a powerful blast hit the car, we stopped instantly. I looked over at mike, he hade his eyes closed.

"M...Mike?" I asked, shaking his shoulder," MIKE?" I panicked, he didn't move.

I looked at the orb on the dash, the red light was facing me, and the orb started to fade out.

"KITT!" I said.

There was static and a quiet dying voice I couldn't make out.

"KITT!" I almost yelled, " what do I do now!" I whispered to myself, as the orb completely shut off.

I looked up at mike, and felt his pulse.

"Oh thank god!" I said as I felt a pulse, then I noticed his ear.

"What's this?" I asked myself, It was my earwig that I gave to mike, it was..." Melted!" I said, taking it out of his ear, inspecting it.

"But that would mean...!" I said then tried to open the door, steam rolling off as I did.

I stepped out and looked at KITT's side, it was half melted.

I bent down, and slowly put my hand on it, but quickly pulled it away with a few curse words.

"..damn thats hot!" I exclaimed, rubbing my burnt hand,

"Oh...! Poor KITT!" I whispered to myself.

And out of no where, a cell phone rang from inside the car, it was mikes.

I picked it up and answered it, " hello?"

"Christine!" The voice said shocked, it was Sarah," where's mike?" She asked.

"He's... Ah...um... Unconscious! And your car... It's... Like... Melted!" I said, " the car we were chasing had a...ahhhhhhhh" I screamed, ducking for cover, as gun shots rang out.

"Christine!" Sarah said, " are you there? Christine?" The shattered phone laying on the ground, as I laid under KITT, in order to hide.

I heard voices, " we got them! The boss will be happy." A voice sneered.

"He will be happy indeed!" Another voice said back.

"Come on! Lets get this guy, and this ugly ass burnt car, back to the boss!" He said, then added, " wait?! Where's the girl! She was right here!" He started looking around.

He didn't find me, " aw man! That sucks... we wanted to have a little fun with her!" The voice said, I cringed at what he said and, 'what was that smell?' I thought.

I looked around me, 'shit! It's gasoline!' I said mentally.

The men pulled mike out of KITT, and into another car, and quickly left, as another car pulled up.

Someone got out of the car, " Christine?!" The voice shouted. It was Sarah, I crawled out from under KITT,

" I'm ok!" I yelled, as I stood up.

"Oh thank ..." She paused, " where mike?!" She asked.

I looked toward the almost gone, speeding away car, then back at her. She got my hint and sighed, " what about KITT?" She asked, as we walked to the burnt side.

"Holy Fuck!" She shouted, and bent down, " this is impossible! This is extremely advanced nano technology, it can't be damaged!" She said, then looked up at me.

"If the weapon you were talking about did this," she paused, " we're is serious trouble!" She said, her voice getting higher!
