Kagome sat noticeably closer to the half-demon Inuyasha as everyone relaxed by the riverside. Kagome placed her feet in the water next to Inuyasha's and 'accidentally' bumped into him in the process. He raised an eyebrow before bumping her back. She started giggling and poked him. Kouga glared from where he sat across the river.
The wolf demon had been filled in on Inuyasha's situation and had proceeded to laugh his rump off. Kagome had then scolded him for it and refused his attempts at an apology. She had told him to apologize to-ugh, Inuyasha.
"You got a problem, wolf?"
Kouga turned around to see Inuyasha's demon smirking down at him, "I couldn't help but notice that you were watching my other side and my mate."
"She isn't yours," Kouga snarled.
The full-demon went face-to-face with him grinned a wicked grin, "Why don't you ask her that?"
Splash!
Kouga turned when he heard the splash and worried when he saw that Kagome was gone. A second later, and silver head popped up followed by a small, black one. Kagome coughed and rubbed the water from her eyes before she glared playfully at a laughing Inuyasha.
"You're like a drowned cat," he teased.
"And you're a wet dog," she snapped and tugged on his ear. He narrowed his eyes at her and a growl began making its way up his throat. Kagome's eyes widened before she tried to swim away. Unfortunately, Inuyasha grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to him. Kagome splashed and squealed while an angry Kouga looked on.
"I thought he was hung up in the dead one," Kouga muttered.
"Well, I'm working on him. I suggest you stay out of my way. But don't worry, you can have the 'dead one' when she is no longer needed," he said and gave him a hard pat on his back. Kouga glared at the cocky demon.

Kagome was suffering from mixed emotions. She had no idea what to make of her half-demon's sudden interest in her. Should she enjoy it? Should she turn him away? Kagome scoffed at that last thought. 'Like I would do that.'
"Kagome, are you felling alright?" Kouga asked her and began to feel her forehead, neck, and cheeks.
"I'm fine, Kouga," Kagome said and tried to take his hands of her. But it seemed like every hand she moved away, he put his other in it's place. He started to smirk at her as if it were a game. Kagome narrowed her eyes and looked at the half-demon behind him for help.
"She said she's fine."
Kouga stopped and glared up at the human Inuyasha. Kagome scooted away from the wolf and closer to Inuyasha. Kouga gave a shocked face and went back to glaring at the human.
"And what are you gonna do, human?" Kouga dared.
"Kouga, we allowed you to stay here with us out of charity and kindness. Do not abuse our hospitality. If you make the mistake, I doubt anyone will stop Inuyasha from having his way," Miroku said and stared at the wolf demon. Kouga looked around at everyone and finally landed on Kagome. He was only mildly surprised to see her by the human Inuyasha's side.
"I can tell when I've over stayed my welcome," Kouga said and said his goodbye's. he left with his trademark whirlwind following him.
The full-demon Inuyasha pouted by his tree, "Damn. I was hoping to knock him around a bit."
Kagome rolled her eyes. She looked to Sango and asked, "Are you ready to go Sango?" The Taijya nodded and both girls left for their bath. Miroku watched them leave with a sigh. He looked at the three Inuyasha and thought of the best way to approach this.
"Inuyasha?" he asked and all three looked at him. Scolding himself, Miroku looked at the hanyou. "I noticed you were very attentive to Kagome-sama today. Care to explain?"
"None of your business, monk," the hanyou muttered and looked away from him.
"Oh, how you wound me, Inuyasha. I thought we were closer that this. Like brothers," Miroku exaggerated. Inuyasha glared at him. "Do you know what a brother would do? He would let him have a little peak-"
The hanyou and full-demon growled at him while the human glared and cracked his knuckles. "You didn't let me finish! I would only look at Sango! I swear! I would never look at Kagome-sama that way. She's like a little sister to me," Miroku said. The hanyou scoffed and folded his arms.
"No way, Bouzu. You ain't going no where," the hanyou said at the same time that the full-demon said, "Fine, but I'm coming with you." Both men looked at each other with a glare.
"You're not peeping on her!" the hanyou yelled.
The full-demon rolled his eyes, "Don't be a dumbass. You can stay here if you're so scared about getting caught." the full-demon stood and dusted off his pants. Miroku stood eagerly. 'I knew I would get away with it!'
"There's no limit to what you'll do, no matter how indecent? Is there?" the human deadpanned. The full-demon sighed.
"Do you wanna come or not?" he asked. The hanyou and human exchanged glances.

Kagome hummed a made up song as she slid into the hot springs. She was in a happy mood. It didn't take a scholar to figure it out. Sango smiled slyly before asking as innocently as possible, "So, what's going on with you and Inuyasha?"
Kagome looked behind her to where Sango was scrubbing the dirt from her back, "What? It's him you should be asking. He started it all."
"I don't see you stopping him," Sango said.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" Kagome asked her incredulously. Sango laughed out loud and continued with her cleansing.
Kagome proceeded with her bath and continued to hum to herself. "When do you think Naraku will show himself?"
Kagome lifted her head in thought, "I don't know, but it makes me wonder why he hasn't come after Inuyasha yet."
"It wouldn't be smart to come after a full-demon and a half-demon right now. Anyways, let's be happy Naraku's hiding. Then we can get Inuyasha fixed," Sango said. Felling like it was now or never, Sango asked, "Kagome, do really think Kikyou knows how to help Inuyasha."
"Why wouldn't she? Besides, I'm sure Kikyou wouldn't lie to Inuyasha. She must know what she's doing," Kagome said and began washing her legs.
"If you say so, Kagome," Sango said and began washing her hair. "Can you help me with this?"
Kagome turned to her friend and waded over to her. She then helped the Taijya wash her long, brown locks. Kagome continued with her humming and before she knew it, Sango joined in. Out of the corner of her eye, Sango caught a rustling bush. A few seconds later, a dazed Miroku fell through and groaned. Kagome screamed, Sango yelled, and Miroku moaned at the same time. Kagome ducked under the water to cover herself while Sango held a towel to her frame and pounded on the monk's skull. Kagome shrunk down in the water more and sighed heavily. Then a thought hit her. 'If Miroku's here, then where's?…'
"Sit!" she yelled. Several thuds drew her attention. She turned to see all three forms of her protector face-down in the dirt. "You three are such perverts! What's wrong with you!"
The human groaned, the half-demon cursed, and the full-demon rolled onto his back seeing stars.
