The next day I felt like I was in a dream, I woke up feeling rested and almost happy, I went through last night events in my head and I couldn't stop the blush from covering my face. Who would've thought Troy Bolton could be that perfect on a date; not only the place was perfect but also him, talking to him about anything and everything I felt like I didn't want the night to end at all.

I got up from my bed and went to take a shower, I had to meet Ryan at our new favorite restaurant for breakfast, I was really craving some pancakes. I still didn't know how I would approach the situation with Ryan, we kissed so I felt like I owed him at least an explanation; I didn't know if I was officially dating Troy either way, but things seemed to be going in that direction. My phone started to ring when I got out of the bathroom and when I looked at the screen I saw Troy's name on it, my heart skipped a beat and I took a deep breath before answering.

"Hello," I answered.

"Hey there," His voice was raspy like he just woke up. "How are you feeling this fine morning?"

"Weird" I replied as I sat down on my bed, still towel wrapped around me.

"I know, I woke up with you in my mind, so I called, I can't help to feel weird like something has changed," He said, I smiled because that was the cutest thing he has ever said to me ever.

"Well…something has changed"

"Yeah" He stood silent for a while "What are you doing now?"

"I'm getting ready to meet Ryan for breakfast" I replied, I don't know if I should be saying that to him but of course there was nothing to hide. He was silent for another second.

"Text me the location when you get there," He said and disconnected the call, I sighed because this was going to be a hard transition, I could already feel it. Despite everything Ryan was still my friend, so Troy had to learn to accept that.

I finally got ready and left my apartment, the weather was killing me, but I managed to make it through and get to the place, Ryan was already waiting for me with a menu on his hands. I kissed his cheek and sat across from him.

"So, what's on the menu?" I asked as I grabbed one.

"So far I'm going through the sixteen ways to prepare eggs" He lifted his eyebrows in disbelief "How have I been living my entire life with just scrambled eggs?"

"That's a mystery to us all" I laughed. The waiter took our order and left. I looked at Ryan intently, this moment was as good as any to let him know what was going on between me and Troy if I didn't tell him now I would never find the courage to do it. I quickly texted Troy our location and took in a deep breath. "So, I went out with Troy last night…on a date" I started. His eyes were wide open.

"Oh really" Were his only words.

"Yeah and…"

"Did you know a college student owns this place" He suddenly said, cutting me off. I shook my head and then he went on to how a college student managed to open his own restaurant at the age of 24. The food came, and Ryan would not stop talking, he was completely absorbed into whatever he was saying because he didn't notice he was not letting me speak, we had our breakfast like this and before I knew it, it was almost time to go to my first class.

"Hey" I heard a voice say next to me, I looked up to find Troy standing there with his usual good looks and a smile on his face. He looked at Ryan with a smile, but I just knew it was fake. "Do you mind if I steal her? She has to get to class soon"

"Nope that's fine" Ryan shrugged "We were done with breakfast anyway"

"Cool," Troy said and without wasting any more time he grabbed my hand and pulled me to my feet, he grabbed my stuff and directed me towards the exit, in a direction to his car. Troy opened the door for me, his hand still holding mine tightly, he looked back at the restaurant and without any warning, he smashed his lips against mine. It was weird but part of me really enjoyed it. He then pulled away and opened the door for me.

"What was that all about?" I asked him when he was inside the car and started driving.

"That was me marking my territory" He seemed a bit upset about the whole situation.

"But I had already told him about us," I told him, "Well…Kind of"

"Still…I know the guy, unless we make it pretty clear that he has no chance he won't stop pursuing you" he took a sharp left and I could almost see the campus ahead.

"Ok but chill, I don't want to die smashed against another car!" He was going really fast and it was starting to scare me. "This isn't baby driver"

"Sorry" He simply said and then lowered the speed. I knew Troy was very temperamental but there were a few things he had to leave behind if he wanted to be with me. I made a mental note to myself to work on it later with him. We arrived at the campus and he quickly parked. "I'm going to walk you to your class," He said grabbing his backpack and my books with one arm and then my hand with the other.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah" He winked at me "I want other guys to see that we are together so they won't bother you" I rolled my eyes because he was just being ridiculous. "Besides…this is a first time for me, I've never been through the school campus holding a girl's hand" He smiled brightly at me "I want to try it"

How could you possibly say no to something like that, I found myself nodding like an idiot and then we started walking towards my class. I felt the people staring at us as we walked by but at this point, I didn't even care, the only thing that matter was Troy and me.

"Have a nice day" He kissed my cheek softly and smiled, I couldn't help to smile back to him.

"You too," I said.

"Don't do that"

I was beyond confused.

"Don't do what?" I asked him.

"Smile like that," He put a hand on his left side of his chest, where his heart should be "you make me feel weird inside. How do you expect me to leave if you're going to smile like this?" I giggled at this, he was so cheesy but at the same time, it sounded perfect coming from him. He then kissed my lips softly. "Wait for me, I'll come back to pick you up. Cool?"

"Cool," I replied.

And I was waiting…I think I would wait for him forever.
