Okay… Everything was really great, especially fighting with the great Uchiha Itachi. I mean, that was all anyone could've wished for. It was once in a lifetime chance. Not only that, I managed to faint at the very beginning of the fight. Great, right? On top of that, how did I even faint? It was obviously not because of chakra exhaustion, I didn't use up that much chakra, right? As for genjutsu, I escaped it! There should be no reason why I faint. Obviously whatever it was, Itachi didn't do it in purpose. Let's see, I fainted right after his fireball jutsu¸ in which I came into contact with fire. Did anyone ever faint when in contact with fire of such small amount? The fire was extremely small, it was impossible to harm anyone, not even a child.
Hmm, talking about fire. Why was everything so dark? I couldn't see a thing. No light, at all. It was like I was blind. I wasn't sure if I was opening my eyes or not. Was it dark because I am in a dark room? Or was it because it's night time? Did someone put a blindfold over my eyes? Was I unconscious?
I couldn't think clearly at all, but up to this point, nothing was ever clear.
"Shikanaomi! Shikanaomi!"
What? Please don't tell me I was hearing things. That was certainly not my voice. Itachi? Definitely him. How could I still hear him? He sounded worried. Something was definitely wrong with me. If my ears could work, maybe my muscles can? I tried lifting my arms. Man, they felt like a thousand kilograms. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't see and move, but can hear? Strange. It never happened before to any characters in the series.
Suddenly, I felt myself being lifted up. Don't ask me how, I just did. I sensed that person's chakra. Itachi again? The slight spike in his chakra could be translated to him panicking. He hoisted me up onto his back as he jumped from roof to roof. After a minute, he stopped moving.
"Please get her a doctor. This is an emergency." His voice was calm and cool yet demanding.
I was then placed onto a bed. Another unfamiliar chakra appeared beside me, whom I guessed was the doctor, and placed his hand over my heart.
"Her heart stopped" After the doctor said that, I could've sworn my heart stopped again, if possible. My heart stopped? What? How could that happen?
"Do something then!" Judging by Itachi's voice, he was probably on the verge of shouting.
The doctors and the nurses who just came into the room assisted the doctor. They started supplying me oxygen and opened my intravenous line and gave me the medicines needed to reactivate my heart. That got no reaction from me whatsoever, so they started to panic. One of the doctors gave me CPR for about 2 minutes, and yet again, it did not work. Seeing that the CPR did nothing, they used the defibrillator. After using it for approximately 100 times, the same result. Nothing happened.
Suddenly, another strong chakra enters the room. Her chakra reserves are extremely high, higher than others. Her gender identified by the fact that females have different signatures than males. How that chakra could be calmer and at the same time easily affected. Definitely a well-trained medic nin. Judging from her reserves, she had spent a lot of time on controlling her chakra. Approximately up to 50 years of study and 55 years of experience. An extremely capable doctor, and had probably healed 80 percent of the patients successfully. Maybe the head doctor due to her capability. The doctor placed her hand over my heart.
"She's still alive" The doctor said. Wow, she was older than I thought. A grandma voice, probably 70 years old. That was good. She had more experience than others, and could possibly heal me.
Whispers and gasps were heard throughout the room.
"I thought her heart stopped!"
"How could she still be alive?"
"Even the CPR and defibrillator got no reaction from her!"
"What is going on?"
The last question was the exact question I need the answer from. The doctor didn't say anything and healed me. She continued to flow her chakra into me for healing. However, it was not possible. Why? It was obvious there was nothing to heal. I had no burns, no broken bones, no bruises, and no disconnected tissues. Nothing was wrong. Well, nothing wrong as in the sense of nothing of something that was wrong and could be healed.
"N-nothing's wrong with her. There's nothing to cure. W-what's going on?" Okay, now the doctor was repeating after me. She continued, "I had never seen this before in my entire life. What happened before she came here?"
Itachi avoided her question and being an honest boy he was, he asked, "Are there any better doctors around here?"
"Yes, but they're on different missions outside Konoh…" The voice of the doctor trailed off and got softer as I felt myself being lifted up again and carried away. I mentally sighed. Apparently Itachi wasn't a kind of person to stay in a place longer than necessary. He probably didn't see the point in staying there any longer since nobody there could cure me. The main question right now was: Where was he taking me? Who else could cure me apart from the doctors of Konoha? Tsunade was obviously out of question, she was probably gambling to who knows where. Shizune was with Tsunade, probably training with her. Sakura? I doubt she even knew how to heal a scratch. Would he take me to the Third Hokage? That would be a possibility. And cool opportunity too. After living here about 6 years, I didn't even get a chance to meet the Third Hokage. It would be pretty awesome meeting him. Wait, I could die right now, for some unknown reason that even one of the best doctors could not figure out, and I was thinking of how cool it would be meeting a fictional character? Oh well.
Itachi travelled as fast as he could to the unknown station. However, on the way there, I sensed a familiar chakra. A very familiar chakra. Hmm... Dad's chakra? No, no. It was Shikamaru's. What was he doing here? He was supposed to go home to inform mum and dad about me. Sure, I trusted Itachi. What if he brought me to some dangerous place and could not save me even if he tried to? I need a backup plan just in case. Not like there could be anything much done anyways.
"Where are you taking her?" Shikamaru asked, a bit wary.
"Someone that can cure her, there is not much time. I have to hurry."
"I'll go too."
"No."
"Why not? She's my twin. I will go with her." Shikamaru repeated, his eyes narrowing a little while calculating the whole thing.
"I'm so sorry Shikamaru, but you will forget what you see."
Right after Itachi said that, I sensed another chakra similar to Itachi's, probably his clone. Why would he need his clone for? Before I could be lost in my thoughts, Shikamaru let out an ear piercing scream and his chakra immediately became stable, which could only be found when a person is sleeping or unconscious. What did Itachi do to Shikamaru? By just knocking him out would not make him forget anything. Oh no… Itachi casted a genjutsu on Shikamaru. Why would he want Shikamaru to forget this? Was it really that dangerous and important? Where was he taking me? Anyway, as much as I love Itachi, he would have to pay for putting Shikamaru into a genjutsu.
Itachi's clone then carried Shikamaru to somewhere else while the real Itachi carried me to the opposite direction. Would Shikamaru be safe? Itachi had been travelling for a while, and then he stopped at our destination. I heard Itachi gave out a shaky breath and calmed himself down. All of the sudden, another chakra came into the range. My heart would've stopped for the third time today. His chakra was unfamiliar; however, it was extremely high. When I say extremely high, I mean really high. He could beat Itachi or my dad within a second. Whoever he was, he was dangerous. Really dangerous. Who was he? A friend or foe? Why would Itachi bring me to him? What had he got to do with the whole thing? Could he cure me?
"My, my Itachi, what have you here?" The voice said.
Itachi dipped his head and greeted the person, "Uchiha Madara"
Right then, my heart seriously did stop.
Ta da! I think the questions made by Shikanaomi in this chapter are probably a third of the whole story...
