I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED I'M SO SORRY BUT HEY, CONCIDER THIS A LATE CHRISTMAS PRESENT! :D
Once again, I'm sorry! ;-;
"Are you sure this is it?"
"Yeah. According to Kyle, this is the place."
Sonic's green orbs looked forward at the empty building, narrowing them as if the dark place was silently daring him to come inside. He didn't know what he would find in there, but the pain in his stomach told him that it wasn't going to be good. He knew it was going to be bad, considering how crazy Jack is, but refused to let his mind think of it any further. Knuckles looked at him from the corner of his eye, watching him very closely for any sort of movement towards the dark building and what they would find there.
"Sonic."
His voice snapped him out of his train of thought, turning to look at his best friend with an expressionless face.
"What are you going to do once we go inside?" Knuckles asked.
Sonic looked outside his window, his hand on the door handle. He knew what Knuckles wanted to hear, so to keep him from worrying any further he whispered the most logical answer his friend wanted him to say.
"Save Amy."
Knuckles smiled, "Right. We don't have time to beat the shit out that guy, all we're going to do is get her out of there."
Without another word, both men exited the car, walking towards the dark building.
"I hope he didn't lie about this."
"I'm sure he didn't Sonic. He sounded convincing."
"Still. If he ends up lying about where Ames is-"
"Sonic," Knuckles stopped walking, grabbing his friends shoulder and pulling him back, getting him to stop as well.
"If he's lying then we'll let Rouge handle it, okay?"
Sonic sighed, smiling a bit.
"Okay. You sure she can handle it?"
"Pfffft, please. I know she can." Knuckles smirked, walking again with Sonic right behind him. The building was dark, with only one lamppost outside as their light source. Sonic reached for the cold door handle, pausing for a moment.
'Stay clam Sonic,' he told himself, 'Amy doesn't have much time left, and who knows what Jack did to her already, so we have to be careful. Stay calm.'
Without another word, Sonic pushed the door open, his eyesight covered by darkness. He took a few steps, listening carefully to any other type of sound besides his own footsteps as they echo in the dark room.
"Can you see anything?" Knuckles whispered beside him.
"No," he answered.
"Well, what do we do now?"
Before his blue friend could answer, the lights suddenly came on. A soft chuckle was heard at the other end of the room. A limp figure was seen a few feet away, blood splattered all over the floor. Sonic's eyes widened in horror, a wave of pain washing over him.
"Amy!"
"Sonic! Glad you could join us!" a voice boomed through the room. Footsteps filled Sonic's ears, his eyes narrowing and filling with rage. On the other side of the storage room, Jack smiled brightly, walking closer and picking Amy's limp body.
"Look Amy! Someone's here to save you! Isn't that nice?" he asked her, dragging a handgun from her bruised cheek to the base of her neck, smiling at Sonic's reaction.
"What? Did you get angry?" he smirked, tightening his grip on Amy's waist.
"What's wrong Amy? Don't you want to say hi?"
Anger filled his heart as Sonic looked at her numb body, felling an irritating pain in his chest. Bruises of purple and blue decorated her body as the blood on her fur dried up, her porcelain skin no longer angelic but broken and shattered like glass.
"Must have fallen asleep. That's too bad," Jack mused, pressing his gun harder against Amy's neck.
"I'm giving you one last chance to back off Jack," Sonic growled, the dim light of the warehouse
"Or what? What can you do to save her now? The way I see it, the odds are in my favor," he smiled, throwing Amy's body harshly to the side.
"Amy! Amy can you hear me?" Sonic yelled out to her.
"Oh please, she's half dead already and can't even open her eyes. Do you honestly think she's going to respond?" Jack laughed, earning an annoyed growl from the blue blur. A low hiss escaped Amy's chapped lips, her body rejecting any sort of movement.
"I'm here to save Amy! If you don't want every bone in your body broken I'd suggest you back off!"
That voice. A voice that brought warmth and safety to her heart….could be heard just a few feet away. A warm feeling spread throughout her body, the pain and numbness replaced with bliss and happiness. With newfound strength, Amy opened her eyes, ignoring her bodies screams in protest.
"…Sonic…"
'He's here…he really here….'
A small smile was able to appear on her lips, her jade eyes filling with hope. That regained hope was soon lost within her soul when icy blue eyes landed on her, replacing it with absolute fear. As if hearing the silent screams of Amy's body, Sonic locked eyes with her, relived that she was still conscious. Before a word was said between them, Jack clasped his hands together and walked towards Amy.
"Oh good! You're awake! Now we can have our little reunion! What do you say Sonic? Wanna play?"
With a smirk upon his lips he yanked Amy to her feet, a scream erupting form her throat.
"Why don't we talk it through? Peacefully like civilized people."
"Civilized people my ass! I'll kill you if you touch her again!" Sonic screamed.
"Looks like someone's a little mad! Remember Sonic…" Jack pulled out a knife and placed it against her cheek, grinning, "…her life is in your hands."
Sonic eyes switched to Amy, his gaze softening but still lingering with anger. Her arms laid numb at her sides, refusing to move against any command the pink hedgehog gave them. Jade orbs drowned in silent pleads, tears threatening to overflow from the pressure of the knife against her skin. Blood seeped out from the new wound, dragging the crimson liquid down her cheek and along her neck. The silent flowing of it caught the attention of cold blue eyes, lighting them up with sickening desire. He drew closer to Amy's face, sticking his tongue out and swiping it against her bruised cheek, loving the way her body trembled against him, and the sweet taste of her blood filling his hunger.
The bear sight of the grey fox doing the deed made Sonic's skin feel irritated, like if it was on fire. He was hanging on to the last string of his humanity, ready to go on a full on rampage. Seeing the disgusted look on the blue hedgehog's face encouraged a smile to appear on Jack's chapped lips, a chuckle ringing in Amy's ears.
"You look really irritated Sonic, are you okay?" he taunted, laying his head on top of Amy's, hugging her closer to him. She cringed, shutting her eyes and letting the tears she's been trying to hold in fall.
"…S-Sonic…." Her voice shaked.
"You hear that Sonic? She's calling for you~" Jack hummed, licking more blood from Amy's skin.
"That's it." Sonic walked forward, heavy steps grinding against the hard floor as he prepared to go on full speed.
"Sonic, calm down!" Knuckles called out, but was ignored as his blue friend continued with his attack.
"Looks like you finally cracked! Oh, this is going to be fun!~" Jack screeched, his smile stretching his skin even further. With a single move of his arm, he pushed Amy out of the way with a loud thud as her scream alerted Sonic's ears. In the middle of running at full speed, his attention switched to her as he called out her name.
"Amy!"
A sudden fist approached his face, slapping him into the ground. Groaning with pain he stood up, but that pain fuelled his anger as turned around to swing a fist at him, but Jack quickly dogged it. This made Sonic stumble a bit, but he quickly balanced himself and swung hard and immediately made contact with his enemy's face.
Catching his breath for a bit, he regained his steps and brought his hands up in a fighting stance. His eyes averted to Amy for a few seconds, but quickly switched back to Jack to make sure he didn't pull any dirty trick.
"Amy…Amy can you hear me?" he whispered, hoping for an answer.
Amy's eyes opened a bit, "Yes…I can h-hear you..."
A small smile lingered at his lips for a few seconds, but soon disappeared as he saw movement from Jack's body. He had to think of something and get Amy out the way so she can be safe.
"That's no good; and here I thought you were going to show me your full power." Jack mumbled under his breath, chuckling a bit.
"What's keeping you from losing it and not going on a total rampage? Is it Amy?"
Sonic kept quiet, preparing himself to do a spin attack.
"If that's true then don't waste your time trying to keep cool," he stood up, shrugging his shoulders as his smile got larger.
"…I know you're on the verge of losing control."
"Shut up already."
With that being said, Sonic lunged forward, running at his enemy with alarming speed and hitting him head on. His fist made contact with Jack's face, knocking him down to the ground. A sudden chock of pain ran down his spine, stopping him from attacking any further. He looked downward, finding a small knife punctuated within the skin of his stomach.
"…D-damn bastard…" he coughed out.
"Couldn't let you have all the fun now can we?"
He dug the knife in deeper, pushing Sonic off him and cleaned his knife with the bottom of his shirt.
"Sonic what the hell, man!? Pull yourself together!" Knuckles called out.
"You're not helping!"
Coughing up a bit of blood, Sonic got up on his feet in an attempt to ignore the painful wound. Covering it with one of his hands, he got ready to fight again.
"I admire your persistence, but don't think that you're going to win," Jack chuckled.
"I'm not leaving without Amy," Sonic coughed again.
"Then I guess it's going to be a very long night."
Without anything else being said, their fight started again – though it was a lot harder to fight for Sonic because of his open wound. Fists were flying everywhere along with kicks, and occasionally the sound of a knife being swung around. Just when Jack was going to swig at him, Sonic was able to have enough time to spin dash the grey fox and threw him to the corner of the dark building, grunting as he added pressure to his stab wound.
He couched again, blood running down his chin. "Knuckles…take Amy outside and c-call…call the police."
"What!? Are you crazy Sonic? I'm not leaving you in here with this crazy son of a bitch!"
"Do it! I'll hold him off for as long as I can but I need Amy to be outside where it's safe!" he yelled again.
Before either of them could move, Jack was able to get up and swing the knife in Sonic's face, but he backed away just in time. The blue speedster threw a punch at Jack's stomach and kicked his face, the knife in his hand jumping into the floor.
"Do it now! He's down so you have enough time to get her out of here; go NOW!"
Grumbling under his breath, Knuckles moved quickly to the torn up body, silently praying she was still alive. He linked his arm under her knees and carefully placed his other arm around her shoulders, scooping her off the ground and headed towards the door. Jack got up quickly and picked up his knife, running to get back the one thing that brought pleasure to his ears as she hanged on to the last thread of life.
Just as he was at arm's reach, he was pushed to the side with great force with Sonic's well known spin attack.
"Run faster damnit!"
"I'm trying but she's heavier than she looks!" Knuckles screamed back, opening the door and escaped to the darkness of outside.
A series of coughs caught Sonic's attention.
"Well, now that she's out of harm's way…will you finally show what you're truly capable of?" Jack asked, reclining his head to the wall behind him.
Sonic narrowed his eyes. "What the hell are you talking about?"
A soft but dark chuckle ringed in his ears, raising more questions in his head about whether the grey fox was okay in the brain – or if he was just plain crazy.
"I could tell that you were holding back while we were fighting; so I figured it was because of Amy. Why is that?"
"You talk too much." Sonic growled.
J ack merely smirked. "Is it because you want to keep your humanity? To not look like a monster? Do you love her that much?"
He was cut off when Sonic suddenly appeared in front of him, pulling him up by his shirt to meet his face.
"Am I wrong?"
"What's it to you?"
"…That makes you my enemy; then again you already were." Jack smirk stretched into a smile.
"What do you want with Amy?" Sonic questioned.
"…..Her screams of pain…" he whispered, lowering his head and still smiling like a maniac. Sonic's eyes widened, still not fully understanding his true reasons.
"What's wrong with you?" he asked him, a bit of terror flickering in his green orbs.
Jack raised his head and looked directly in his eyes, his smile stretching from one side of his face to the other. Before Sonic could say another word, Jack punched him in his stab wound and caused Sonic to grunt in pain. He moved back, holding his stomach as he coughed up more blood. Jack kicked his in the face, causing him to fall back on the cold, hard floor.
He walked – or rather limped – to the side of the storage were he had thrown a small handgun just a few minutes before the blue hedgehog and his friend got here. Picking it up, he walked back to where Sonic was, and pointed the gun at him.
He smiled, "...there's nothing wrong with me or what I'm doing. All I'm doing is cleansing Amy of her wrong doings and making her beg for forgiveness."
Sonic has on his knees, one hand supporting his upper body as he hunched over, still holding his wound.
Silence filled the room, only heavy breathing was to be heard until….
****xX****xX**Outside**Xx****Xx****
"Jesus...ugh...your heavier than you look!" Knuckles grunted, gantly placing Amy - who is still unconscious - inside of their small car. Feeling the softness against her back, Amy felt like she could breath again and was soon falling into a deep sleep.
Before she could feel peace once more, there was an undying thought that roamed in the back of her mind.
It was quiet; a kind of eerie quietness that made her feel uncomfertable. Her mind wouldn't keep quiet, screaming at her that something didn't feel right. She listened, opening her eyes and tried to get up. She ignore her bodies screams in pain once more, and reatched out her hand for the door handle.
Knuckles looked inside of the car through the window, noticing Amy' struggle.
He opened the door, surprising her a bit, "Amy, whoa! What are you doing? Lie down, you need to rest."
"I...I can't. S-Something doesn't feel right."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean...Sonic-"
Before she could say anything else, she was inturrupted by several gunshots that were heard in the distance.
Finding her voice, Amy screamed.
"...SONIC!"
