Ty walked up to the front door of the cabin, despite its age it looked like it was brand new. Ty knew it was his grandpa's favorite vacation spot.

"So this is the place you're uncle lent you?" Angelica asked.

"Yeah, it's kind of old; I'm surprised it's still in good condition." Ty replied. Fiddling with the doorknob revealed the door to be locked.

"That's weird, why isn't the door opening?" Angelica asked.

"It's locked, we need a key." Ty replied bending down.

"A key, what's that?" Angelica asked.

"This." Ty replied pulling a silver object out from under the welcome mat. Ty inserted the key and twisted it, causing a clicking sound.

Entering the house again gave Ty a sense of nostalgia, when he was young and his grandpa had time, he would come to this cabin to spend a little time with him. Memories flooded his mind. Waving it off, Ty threw his backpack to the side and stretched, it has been a while since he has been in an actual house, but he wasn't about to lie down yet, he still needed to get his surprise ready for Angelica.

"Alright, time to let the team out for some air." Ty thought grabbing the pokeballs from his belt. Giving them a toss, the balls exploded revealing his team, Feathertail and Torappu were still a little tired from their midnight escapade.

"Well, we're here." Ty replied.

"And here is being." Skybreeze asked.

"This is my grandpa's old cabin, its two stories, with electricity and water." Ty replied.

"Pretty snazzy if i say so myself." Unagi commented.

Despite the cabins age, it had sort of a modern look to it, this was mainly because Ty's uncle refurnished it every now and then.

"Yeah, plus there is a lake out back." Ty replied.

"Lake?" Feathertail popped up. Running out the back door, Feathertail decided to check this out for herself. "Score!" She shouted, making Skybreeze chuckle.

"Nobody loves water as much as Feathertail." He commented.

"Yeah, the cabin is great and all, but i think I'm going to pass out on the sofa if you don't mind." Torappu threw in, hopping on the sofa and falling asleep almost immediately.

"Well, as much as i would like to stick around i need to get going... Somewhere." Ty replied.

"But you just got here." Angelica replied.

"Yeah, and you've been traveling since early morning, don't you think you should lie down?" Skybreeze asked.

While the traveling had left Ty in a weakened state, he needed to get the preparations ready for tonight. "Look, I'm fine really." Ty replied.

"But can't you at least stay for a-"Angelica began but stopped when she saw Ty dash out the door. "Minute." She finished. Angelica sighed. "Skybreeze I'm worried."

"About what?" Skybreeze replied sitting next to the passed out Torappu.

"About Ty's surprise." She responded. "A part of me is saying Ty doesn't hate me, and it's all in my head, but another is saying that this is all a trap, and he plans on abandoning me."

"You deserve it." Unagi muttered.

"And that's another thing." Angelica replied throwing her attention to Angelica. "Why do you hate me? When you didn't know i was wild you seemed perfectly fine with me, but when you do figure out, you act like I'm an infected, rabid pokemon?" Angelica questioned.

"Because when i last checked, we fought each other to get on this team." Unagi rebutted.

"Oh if that's the case, I'll gladly kick your ass." Angelica replied angrily.

"Alright, knock it off you two." Yamask came in. "I think the last thing Ty wants to see when he gets back is a messed up cabin, so why don't we just leave this feud out in the Forrest for now."

Unagi and Angelica just stared for each other for a minute. "Psh, she isn't even worth my time anyway." Unagi replied marching off.

"You want to bet, fish bait." Angelica yelled.

"Just drop it already." Yamask ordered.

"But he started it." Angelica complained.

"It doesn't matter just leave it where it is." Yamask replied.

Angelica just let out a sigh of anger before marching upstairs.

"I'm not the only one who thinks that this argument is getting annoying right?" Skybreeze asked.

"No, but he's so bent on proving she is not supposed to be on this team that he is going to be holding a grudge for a while." Yamask replied.

Skybreeze just sighed and looked around for something to do. "So, when do you think Ty is getting back?" Skybreeze asked.

"Beats me." Yamask replied. "But it might be a while, when Ty works on something he usually takes a while."

"True, jeez, what am i going to do until then?" Skybreeze thought out loud.

"Why don't you go swimming with Feathertail?" Yamask asked. "Usually when you're not arguing with Unagi you usually hang out with her."

Skybreeze didn't respond for a minute. "That's sort of changed." Skybreeze replied.

"How so?" Yamask asked.

"Ever since she started annoying Torappu, we haven't really been together as much, it's like she has a new best friend." Skybreeze replied.

"Best friend is a misused term you're using, but I'm pretty sure it's just a misunderstanding, why not just go out and talk to her or something." Yamask advised.

"It's not just that." Skybreeze replied. "Something feels, different, about her, like she isn't the same person."

"Skybreeze, i think you're just becoming paranoid at this point, Feathertail is still the same, and you guys are still best friends, just go out and talk to her." Yamask replied, before flying up into the attic.

"But... How do i know...? I don't." Skybreeze sighed, he was sure there was something different about Feathertail, not in appearance, but deeper.

"Jeez, why is it even when i find new friends there is someone who always hates me?" Angelica thought, flopping on the bed in the master bedroom. "And here i thought all of them were friendly to me, what a jerk, Unagi, well at least my mouth doesn't look like a big vag."

Angelica's head wondered back to her past, the decisions she made, the lopunny's she...

"No, don't think about that." Angelica thought, putting the fluff of her ears to her head. "I'm a different Lopunny now, it's just the past, just because i did it in the past, doesn't mean i still have the urge to do it."

Despite Angelica's efforts to convince herself that she was changed, the constant image of the night in the hotel flashed in her mind, like a constant reminder she was still the same Lopunny.

"What am i going to do?" Angelica asked. "There has to be a way to prove I'm not the same Lopunny."

Angelica knew there would be no way to REALLY prove she was changed, but maybe a way to make an illusion that she was another Lopunny would help.

"Oh who am i kidding, that doesn't even make sense." She groaned problems with Angelica's decision to join Ty weighed down upon her. "I've caused my entire clan to almost kill Ty along with his pokemon, I've lied about who i am, oh Arceus I'm still the same Lopunny, but worse."

Angelica felt like she was going to have a breakdown. "Now hold on." Angelica thought. "Some good has come from this, i mean, i made new friends, I'm a good fighter for the team, and I helped Feathertail with her secrets."

The good that came from Angelica's decision calmed her down, but there was still the bad to worry about, the Elderpunny doesn't take kindly to treason, he would most likely be hunting them down as she was thinking, but if that was true, why didn't he attack them on the road when their guard was down.

"He must be trying to play mind games." Angelica thought, flipping to her side. "He knows that I and the team could have made a getaway on Skybreeze.

Angelica thought about the tactics she had heard the Elderpunny talk about when he heard of intruders.

If he was in a good mood, he usually would let them go with a warning, or a broken arm.

In a bad mood, well, pretty sure you don't want to know where that goes.

"Then there's Ty." Angelica thought. "If they get ahold of Ty it will be my entire fault. The others would blame me and who knows what they would be capable of, but, i guess that's not all i have to worry about."

Angelica thought about the lie she gave Ty when she left her clan. "What was i thinking?" Angelica thought. "Why didn't i just tell him what i was, I'm sure he would at least have some understanding, now I'm in too deep, If Ty found out what i really was, he would hate me." Angelica thought, starting to go into a fetal position. "All i want is a nice life, some friends, and something i can be proud of in my life, why is it so hard just to have one of those things?"

Ty walled down the street with a grocery bag in one of his hands, the spot he had picked was perfect for later tonight, now came the problem of keeping it private.

Ty knew pokephilia was illegal if someone spotted him, and a lopunny, sitting alone together, in the dark, they were bound to get the wrong idea. Ty walked up to the spot he had picked in the park. The park was used for pokemon but with the upcoming fireworks show, most people and their pokemon were going to move to the park closer to the fireworks. But that still didn't mean people would be walking around.

"Alright, let's see, blanket from the tailor store facing in the direction of fireworks station, check, food and water, check, complete privacy, no check." Ty thought has he checked off the checklist in his head. "There has to be a way from keeping people from spotting us, i don't want anything to ruin this."

Ty wondered if there was another spot he could find that would give him some extra privacy, but on his inspection of the park, the only places that would work were the ones that had a lot of trees blocking the view, so this spot was the only one that worked best, at the tradeoff of privacy.

"If only i had a psychic type that knew illusion moves." Ty thought out loud.

"You called." A voice spoke up, making Ty jump. Turning around Ty was met with an alakazam, similar to the one he owned. "So, you need a psychic type with illusion moves, eh?" The alakazam asked.

"Yes, i do, but not just an ordinary illusion move though." Ty replied.

Alakazam looked at the boy for a minute, and then chuckled. "For a minute there i thought you understood me perfectly." The alakazam chuckled.

"I did." Ty replied. The alakazam stopped laughing and looked at the boy again. "It's a long story, look do you think you can do something for me?" Ty asked.

"Depends, what do you need to be done?" The alakazam asked.

"Well, later in the night time, i need to be... Invisible." Ty replied.

"Invisible?" The alakazam asked.

"Well, you see, me and a... Friend are coming here later and, i want a really nice spot for me and... My friend-" Ty began.

"Why do you keep saying that like that?" The alakazam asked.

"Like what?" Ty asked, confused.

"You keep saying "friend" like you're hiding something, just spit it out what you need already and stop referencing them as "friend" it's creepy." The alakazam replied.

"Sorry, but it's just me and... A Lopunny are coming here later to night and-"

"Wait, a Lopunny... Now i get it." Alakazam interrupted, a grin coming across his face.

"What?" Ty asked growing nervous.

"You want me to make you an invisible area so that you and your Lopunny friend can have "privacy" is that it?" Alakazam asked.

"What? No! Look, it's complicated, i have no intention of-" Ty began.

"No need to explain, i know what's really going on." Alakzam replied smugly

Ty face palmed him-self. "Look." Ty began trying to explain. "I'm having a picnic with her because some weird stuff is going on and i want to help her relive some stress." The grin on Alakazams face grew wider. "IN A NONE SEXUAL WAY." Ty pointed out.

"Right." Alakazam replied sarcastically.

"Look, do you think you can just make like an invisible force so that we can see the fireworks show without being spotted?" Ty asked just trying to get a move on with the plan.

"Sure i could, but i get whatever is left over from the picnic, and if there is any action, i get to watch." Alakazam replied.

"I'm not going too- ugh, fine, just be here around 9:30, think you can do that?" Ty asked.

"Yes." Alakazam replied.

"Good, now if you'll excuse me, i have a picnic to work on." With that, Ty walked back over to the picnic area to get everything set up. "Besides, even if I wanted to do something like that, I wouldn't want it to be… like that."

Skybreeze slowly made his way to the backyard, despite Feathertail being his best friend, he was nervous that had changed.

"WOO! *glub**glub* Woo!*glub*" Feathertail cheered as she kept diving out of the water like a dolphin.

"Um, Feathertail?" Skybreeze asked, trying to catch the Floatzel's attention.

"Woo! *Glub**Glub*" Feathertail continued as she continued to dive out of the water.

"Feathertail." Skybreeze called again. In a sudden burst of water, Feathertail burst above the water and started spraying water everywhere, including Skybreeze.

"Skybreeze." Skybreeze called out again.

"Huh, oh hi Skybreeze." Feathertail called out cheerfully.

"Hi, uh, what are you doing?" Skybreeze asked, only to realize how stupid of a question that was.

"Just swimming around." Feathertail replied as she started to back paddle across the water.

"Yeah, I thought so." Skybreeze replied nervously. "So uh, is there anything else you plan on doing?" Skybreeze asked.

Feathertail thought about anything else she would do. "Nope." She replied happily.

"Oh." Skybreeze replied. "Well, if there is anything else you would do, wouldn't mind joining."

Feathertail stopped. "Why don't you just swim with me, I mean, it' the one thing I'm doing right now."

Skybreeze didn't reply, instead he rather just stared at the water.

"You know, I think I will jut, uh, stay here and, I don't know, watch, I guess." He replied nervously.

"Jeez, what, are you afraid of the water?" Feathertail asked.

Skybreeze didn't reply, he just stood there sort of scraping his foot along the ground while avoiding eye contact.

"You don't REALLY have a fear of water do you?" Feathertail asked, somewhat concerned.

Skybreeze still didn't reply.

"You have a fear of water? How come you've never told me this before?" Feathertail asked as she started to swim to the shore.

"Well, it's complicated." Skybreeze replied.

"How so?" Feathertail asked.

"Well, you remember that incident at the river, the magikarp incident?" Skybreeze asked.

"Yeah, the one where you screamed like a girl." Feathertail chuckled.

"Well, ever since that day, I developed a fear… of water." Skybreeze continued.

"Wait, you got a fear of water, from a magikarp, oh come on Skybreeze, it was just a small one, and how could you possibly have a fear of that?" Feathertail asked.

"It's not that!" Skybreeze replied angrily. "It's… well, it's a fear of what's inside the water."

"A fear of what's in the water?" Feathertail asked.

'Yes." Skybreeze replied.

Skybreeze looked at Feathertail who had a mix of confusion and "are you serious?" on her face.

"Look, when that Magikarp popped out on that day, it didn't affect me, but then I got to thinking, what if it was something bigger, like a gyarados, or, a Samurott." Skybreeze explained.

"A Samurott?" Feathertail asked unamused.

"Look, it may seem ridiculous to you, but to me this is something that could probably happen." Skybreeze argued.

"Look, Skybreeze, we have been friends for several years, and let me tell you, there is no danger in water… that isn't larger than a soccer field at least." Feathertail Convinced.

"Oh yeah, and how do you know?" Skybreeze asked.

"Skybreeze, im a floatzel, I think I know my water types and where they live." Feathertail replied.

"Well, this fear isn't just going to go away, and even if that is true, there is no way to know for sure that there isn't something in that lake." Skybreeze replied.

"You mean the lake I've been swimming in for about an hour?" Feathertail asked.

"It could be slow." Skybreeze replied, unconvincingly.

"Skybreeze, there is nothing to fear, trust me, as a Floatzel I give you the honest truth that there is nothing in that lake." She replied.

"Look, it's not that I don't trust you, but I don't really want to go for a swim right now." Skybreeze replied avoiding contact once more.

"Ok, really, since when have I ever lied to you?" Feathertail asked.

"Look, just drop it ok, I don't want to talk about this anymore." Skybreeze replied, but before Feathertail could say anymore, Skybreeze stomped back into the cabin.

"Well, that was weird." Feathertail thought. "Meh, he may not want to swim now, but I'll break him eventually, for now however…" Feathertail thought, jumping back into the lake.

Angelica's eyes slowly opened up, she wasn't sure how long she had been asleep, or even how she got to sleep in the first place.

"I must have passed out from lying on this bed too long." Angelica thought. "But on the plus side, the pains from the walk here are gone."

Angelica yawned and headed downstairs again, Torappu was still sleeping on the couch, while Skybreeze and Unagi were in the game room arguing about something.

When Angelica entered the room, she saw that Skybreeze and Unagi were playing a board game of some sort.

"And I'm saying that 300 soldiers could take down a whole army if they were trained enough." Unagi argued.

"No they couldn't they would be massively outnumbered, they would be ripped to shreds." Skybreeze rebutted.

"What are you guys doing?" Angelica asked.

Unagi and Skybreeze looked at the doorway, suddenley noticing the Lopunny observing their argument.

"Oh, we're playing chess, and arguing about some weird rumor Unagi hard about form some movie." Skybreeze replied.

Unagi just muttered something, but Angelica just ignored him.

"So, what exactly is chess, and how did you guys learn to play it?" Angelica asked.

"Oh, Ty taught us." Skybreeze replied.

"Ty taught you?" Angelica asked.

"Yeah, he also taught Torappu how to read books, and Feathertail how to use the TV, Unagi here also knows how to start a fire without using flamethrower." Skybreeze replied.

"Oh, when did he teach you all this stuff?" Angelica asked, a little envious.

"A couple years ago, I believe, if you want to give it a try, you can." Skybreeze offered.

"No, thanks, but I'm wondering has Ty gotten back yet?" Angelica asked.

"No, he's been out the entire afternoon, and it's almost dark." Skybreeze replied.

As if cueing some event, everyone heard the door to the living room open.

"Hey, I'm back." Ty called out.

"Well, I guess if you want to talk to him, then now is your chance." Skybreeze advised.

"Oh, Angelica I need to see you." Ty called out.

Angelica gulped, Ty was probably going to give her "The surprise." Now, she just hoped that there wasn't anything involving abandonment involved.

"Hi." Angelica greeted nervously as she came around the corner into the living room.

"Oh, there you are, come on; I got the surprise all ready." Ty informed.

"But, it's getting dark out; don't you think it's a little late for a walk?" Angelica sked nervously, her suspicions were growing.

"We still have a while, don't worry there is nothing to worry about." Ty replied, grabbing her hand and leading her out the door.

"This is it; he really is going to abandon me." Angelica thought as they walked down the sidewalk.

"Torappu wake up." Feathertail called, alarming the sleeping Mawile on the couch.

"What's going on, this better be important." Torappu yawned.

"Well, I heard about this "event" or something Ty was talking about, and it's about to go off in a couple minutes, want to join me?" Feathertail asked.

Torappu yawned again, really not wanting to move anywhere, but seeing Feathertail's excited face made her realize that if she said no, she would get bombarded with pleases. "Sure, I guess." She replied.

"Yay!" Feathertail cheered as she dragged the Mawile away from the couch.

Feathertail Pulled Torappu upstairs out the upper balcony, which had two foldout chairs by a table.

"So what exactly is this "event Ty was talking about?" Torappu asked.

"Something called a fireworks show." Feathertail replied.

"And how do you know we will be able to see it form here?" Torappu asked.

"Because I heard that Fireworks shoot high in the sky." Feathertail replied.

"I hope you're right." Torappu replied.

Ty Lead Angelica through the streets, which seemed pretty empty, further worrying Angelica. "Uh, where did you say this "Surprise was?" Angelica asked.

"I told you it's a secret, just trust me, you're going to love it." Ty replied.

Angelica couldn't hold down the worry she was feeling, she was still convinced Ty hated her for almost getting his pokemon killed in the forest.

Ty spotted the park, and stopped right outside the gate. "Alright, I'm going to need you to close your eyes." Ty instructed.

"Well, I mean, can't I just have them open for, the surprise." Angelica asked nervously.

"But then it wouldn't be a surprise." Ty replied.

Angelica sighed; she closed her eyes, but left a small crack for her to look through. Ty didn't look amused. "All the way." He ordered. Angelica grunted and finally shut her eyes completely, Angelica felt Ty pull her again, only slower this time so she could easily keep with her, and it felt like minutes before Ty stopped again.

"Alright, you can open them again." Ty announced.

When Angelica opened her eyes again, the only thing she saw was a Blanket laid on the ground with a basket on it bathed in the moonlight.

Angelica was slightly confused, but glad Ty wasn't abandoning her.

"It's a picnic." Ty explained.

"A picnic, but how does this explain anything?" Angelica asked, still confused.

"Don't worry, you'll see." Ty replied.

Ty allowed Angelica to sit down before he took his spot on the blanket, looking over; Ty spotted the Alakazam from behind the trees.

"Right on time." Ty thought. Ty nodded giving the signal for him to set up the shield.

In a matter of second Alakazam whipped up an invisible shield that kept the outside from seeing Angelica and Ty.

Ty reached into the basket and pulled out a sandwich, handing it to Angelica, who was still confused about the situation.

Ty looked at his watch. "One more minute." He muttered.

"A minute?" Angelica thought, her suspicions rising again.

"So, what do you think of this spot?" Ty asked.

"It's nice, I guess." Angelica replied.

"Nice?" Ty asked, a little disappointed.

Truth was, Angelica thought the spot was great, romantic even, but her suspicions were getting in her way of thinking about the scenery.

"Well, I like it, but, what are we doing here exactly?" Angelica asked.

"You'll see in… a couple seconds." Ty replied.

For what was probably 25 seconds felt like minutes to Angelica, she couldn't understand what Ty was trying to show her. It was then that something screeched through the air, looking up, Angelica saw a small light flying into the air, before exploding into colors, more and more of these objects flew into the sky, setting off different colors. Angelica was mesmerized by them, they were beautiful.

Ty smiled. "See what I've been trying to show you?" He asked, over the screeching of the rockets. Angelica continued to look at the rockets, no reply coming from her.

Ty chuckled. "Guess she's a little busy at the moment." Ty thought smiling.

For the rest of the Fireworks show Angelica was mesmerized, the colors and the sounds amazed her, this was nothing she had ever seen before, eventually though the rockets stopped, snapping her back to reality.

"What was that?" She asked.

"Fireworks." Ty replied smiling. "I thought that would be something you would enjoy."

Angelica looked back out at the dark sky, the only light emitting was the moon.

"So, what did you think?" Ty asked.

Angelica was silent for a moment. "That was great and all." Angelica began. "But how does this prove you don't hate me?"

Ty looked at her for a moment, she probably didn't know about the effort that went into making the surprise.

"Well." Ty began. "Think about it, I spent hours out here, working on this surprise even though my legs were killing me, I found us a perfect spot all to ourselves, I set up a picnic, and showed you the best Fireworks show, tell me, if I really hated you, do you think I would have put that much effort into convincing you I don't?" Ty asked.

Angelica thought about it a second, if what he was saying was true, then maybe she did have a reason to believe he didn't hate her.

Ty was suddenley surprised when Angelica threw her arms around him and pushed him to the ground. Ty looked down to see Angelica nuzzling up against his shirt. "I guess I never really thought of it that way." Angelica spoke up. "And I guess I no longer have a reason to suspect you hate me."

Ty chuckled., looking up, he saw the Alakazam giving him a funny look. Ty just stared darkly at the pokemon.

"What are you looking at?" Angelica asked.

"Huh, oh nothing." Ty replied. "Well, it's been fun, but we should probably start heading home, the other are probably worried about us."

"Already?" Angelica whined. "Can't we stay here a bit longer, I mean, you did put a lot of efforts into making this, why not enjoy it?" She asked.

"Well, as much as I would love to." Ty replied. "I'm starting to get a little tired, plus my legs are still sore from the walk and the walk back to the house is going to feel like miles to me, so better to get started now."

"Well, alright, but, do you think we can do this again?" Angelica asked.

Ty looked down at the Lopunny, then smiled. "Of course." He replied rubbing her head.

As ty got up and started to leave, he was stopped by another question.

"Aren't you going to clean up the picnic?" Angelica asked.

Ty turned around then smiled. "Don't worry, I got someone to do that for us." He replied.

Angelica looked confused but then shrugged, following Ty back home, Angelica felt like the night couldn't get any better, of course there was one way, but Angelica felt it could never happen in a million years.

Meanwhile…

"Wow that was amazing!" Feathertail cheered from the balcony.
"Yeah, great." Torappu yawned. "Can I go back to sleep."

"Wait, already?" Feathertail asked.

"Yeah, it's getting late, I'm pretty sure I want to get back to sleep." Torappu replied.

Feathertail started to get nervous, there was ANOTHER reason she actually brought Torappu up here, but the distraction from the fireworks caused her to lose track of time.

"Actually." Feathertail piped, grabbing Torappu's arm as she tried to walk by. "Torappu, there is something I've been meaning to tell you."

Torappu looked like she was curious, and at the same time, annoyed. "Alright, fine, but can you make it quick."

"Um, well, you see, for a while now, I've, well… what I mean is, when you and I first met, no that's not it." Feathertail tried to explain.

"Feathertail, whatever it is just say it." Torappu interrupted.

Feathertail new the only way she could really say it, it was risky, but it was the only way.

Feathertail put her paws on Torappu's cheeks, and for a minute just stared at her. Torappu was starting to feel uncomfortable.

"Uh, Feathertail are you ok?" Torappu asked.

Feathertail looked into Torappu for a few more seconds, then sighed.

In a quick motion Feathertail pulled Torappu closed to her,

And connected lips…

To be continued….
