A blond guy grabbed Sebastian's arm," Wanna go on a walk with me and Claude?"
"Sure." He didn't resist the pull from Claude's friend. Who was this weirdo anyway? This guy wasn't like Claude at all, but maybe he only acts like this when people first meet him. "Where are we going," Sebastian asked when they reached the last door of the building.
"Nowhere in particular. I just want to get to know Claude's widdle boyfriend," He answered. Claude looked down, and Sebastian eyed the guy. Who knew what can happen on this walk.
"What's your name?" Sebastian asked.
"Alois, and you're Sebastian?" He nodded, "So what got you interested in Claude?"
Sebastian quickened his pace. Did he really have to answer that question with Claude around? He wanted to run away, but this was not the appropriate time. "Well I just thought he looked good, so we started talking, and eventually went on a date."
"That's not interesting. There had to be more to it than just that," Alois complained.
"Well before our first encounter, I watched him skate every day," Sebastian added. Claude gave him a confused look.
"I didn't you used to ice skate Claude!"
"No, he roller skated," Sebastian said.
"Oh, that's still cool."
Nothing remarkable happened on that walk, but Alois did ask a lot a seemingly random questions like," So how often do you hang out with Ciel?"
"We don't have that close of a bond, but we live together at our apartment. He rarely comes out of the house unless he sees me perform."
And the weirdest one was," Where and what time do you sleep?"
"I go to bed at around 11:00 pm in my bedroom."
And of course those questions weren't random.
One night while Sebastian walked home from rehearsal a guy knocked him over and tried to murder him.
The man slammed him into the ground, and tried to stab him in the abdomen, but Sebastian blocked it with his arm. That turned out to be a bad decision. Now his arm bleed, and he had to put extra effort into his thought process from the blood loss. Sebastian covered his arm in an attempt to stop the bleeding, but blood seeped through the cracks of his hands. Because of this he pulled down the collar of his shirt which revealed his contract seal he made with Ciel. In a weak voice he said," Ciel! I order you to save me."
The guy got up and ran, and Sebastian tightened the grasp on his arm. Hurry Ciel.
Ciel ran into the scene. Without a word he threw off his glove, said something he didn't understand, and Sebastian's wound bled out and surrounded him in the shape of their contract seal. "Don't worry, I'm here."
On the ground Sebastian winced, and passed out once the circle in blood was completely made. "Wake up," Ciel said a few minutes later. Sebastian opened his eyes. Now his mind was clear and the wound on his arm healed. He slowly stood up with the help of Ciel, "What happened?" Ciel asked.
"I don't know, I was driving home and someone randomly attacked me."
Ciel pulled Sebastian closer to him," You aren't able to describe him at all?"
"He was tall, shorter than me, but still tall. And skinny, and he wore black," Sebastian explained.
The wind whistled, which made Sebastian bury himself into Ciel. They walked back to their apartment with no interruptions.
All the lights were off when they came home, "Hmm I thought Alois was here," Ciel said. He turned on the lights and searched for him. When Alois didn't show up he knocked on Claude's door.
"What?"
"Is Alois home?"
He paused before he said," He went out to get something. Want me to call him?"
"Sure." Sebastian and Ciel entered the room and Claude punched Alois' number in. Thankfully he picked up right away.
"Hey it's Claude. Ciel wants to know where you are." The two babbled on for a few minutes. When they finished Claude said, "He apparently went to Starbucks."
"Hey you should have told him to get me some!" Sebastian said.
Ciel stared at Sebastian, "This is no time to joke around."
"What's going on?" Claude asked.
"Someone tried to murder Sebastian."
Claude shifted in his seat, "And you think Alois did it?"
"Maybe. We don't know where he is, and I don't know who else would try and kill Sebastian," Ciel said.
"They might've been a serial killer," Sebastian suggested, "How can we even see if it was Alois. Should we go to Starbucks?"
"Yeah," Ciel said "I can't risk anyone killing you."
Xxx
The three of them walked into the nearest Starbucks and scanned the room for Alois, but he was nowhere to be found.
"He told me he was here," Claude said.
"Check to see if he's at a different one," Sebastian said.
Claude took out his phone and asked Alois for his exact address," Don't move until we meet up with you." He hung up and said, "He told me he's some hipster clothing store. You know which one I'm talking about, right Sebastian?"
"Yeah." This means that Alois drove all the way the downtown to buy some overpriced clothes at a hipster store. No one randomly goes to a clothing shop when they're over at their friend's house. Was Ciel getting on to something?
This time Alois stayed put. He stood in front of the door, waiting for them, what do you want?"
"I have to ask you a few questions. Where were you at about 7:00 today?" Ciel asked.
"In the morning or night?"
Ciel growled, "The night."
Alois cocked his head, and looked to his upper left," I was hanging out with some of my friends at Starbucks."
"I don't think so!"
"Why not?" Alois exclaimed.
"I think you tried to kill Sebastian," Ciel said in a whisper.
Are you serious? He won't admit to it if he did it!
"What makes you think that?"
"Who else would?" Ciel said.
"You're accusing me of something without proof. Can you at least fake some evidence? If you do that then we'll talk." He headed out the store," Come on Claude." Claude followed, and said something neither Sebastian nor Ciel could make out.
"Why are you so sure that Alois tried to kill me?"
"Part of it's a hunch, but Alois came to this house with a purpose. His body was too stiff to simply be lounging. Like he was waiting for something. Also have you ever heard Claude talk about Alois? I know he isn't open about himself, but I still think he would have mentioned something about him coming over."
"Whoa, that is weird. I never thought about that. After his death, he had no friends, but he told me he met Alois at a fashion convention when he moved in," Sebastian fought the shakiness in his hands. What if Claude really conspired in killing him? No Claude loved him, but people change. All those books he read might be right. You can't love someone forever.
Ciel wrapped his hand around Sebastian's back, "It's okay, we'll get to the bottom of this."
"Let's find the knife someone stabbed me with, and test Alois' fingerprints."
Ciel froze," I'm an idiot! Why didn't I think of that?" he said in tone Sebastian couldn't hear. He raised his voice," Okay, that's a good idea."
Later, back at their apartment, Ciel opened the drawer, and took out the knife, wearing gloves. He didn't wash any of the blood off. He took a sample of the finger prints, "Let's test Alois' fingerprints now. Where do you think they are?"
Do you really think he will let you do that? Tomorrow would be a better day, but they needed to find who the killer was or they might come back. If it is Alois then Ciel would get rid of him, and if it wasn't they could start a lookout for it. It can't be Alois though. Why would one of Claude's friends try to kill him? "I don't know-"
The front door opened, and Claude and Alois walked through it. No one said anything while Ciel and Alois had a stare down. Come on Ciel. Just get his fingerprints, so this can be over with.
"Come here Alois. I need to test your finger prints to see if you tried to kill Sebastian. "
He furrowed his brow, "I didn't do it and you have no proof!"
"If you didn't do it, then you wouldn't be reluctant to test it out!" Ciel argued, his hold on the forensic supplies tighter than before.
"Just do it, and there won't be a problem," Sebastian said.
"What exactly will you do to me if I refuse?"
"I will murder you," Ciel said without hesitation.
"No," Alois said," We'll fight." The air was tense, Sebastian couldn't move and Claude couldn't sit still. There's no point in worrying about Ciel, since he's basically a super human, but what if Claude's friend was killed. What if Ciel killed Claude? No, he can order Ciel not to kill Claude. Everything will be fine. But if Alois didn't want to do the test, then he must've done it. It's best to kill him.
"Okay let's take this somewhere else. I promised to never kill a child," Ciel said.
"Aww how lame."
Ciel gave Alois the evil eye," Don't even think about killing him."
The adults left the room, and Sebastian and Claude sat on the couch. "I kind of want to watch, but I'm a little nervous," Claude said.
"Do you like Alois? Not in that way of course, but is he cool?"
Claude chuckled, "Yeah."
He's going to die, but no one says that to someone who's about to lose one of their friends. For Claude, it was his only friend besides Sebastian. If Ciel seriously thinks that Alois tried to kill him, then he won't show any mercy. Sebastian's body went ice cold when he pictured Alois' deformed body in a pool of blood. The thought was unsettling even if he was guilty. Sometimes Ciel terrified him, but at least he's on his side.

The cicadas chirped on this warm night which soothed Ciel. He took in his surroundings, and marveled at the symmetrical lights that surrounded the street. Only a few stars were visible in the night sky. Strange, the last time we looked up at the sky in 1875, even a demon couldn't count the stars. . Were they disappearing? If the stars were important to human survival, then they need to find another food source soon.
"Are you a demon?" Ciel asked.
"Yeah," Alois said, "And my human ordered me to kill yours."
"Is Sebastian's friend your human by any chance?"
"Yes, but I'll kill you before he finds out," Alois said, and took out a whistle and blew on it.
Crap! He must have a plan. Ciel had no weapons that would kill a demon, and Alois was more experienced.
A female demon ran into the scene with a large green sword. The demon sword! Ciel's life as a demon was over. Might as well make this last fight count.
The dark demoness with long, white hair swung the sword in front of her to form a boundary between them," Do you want to surrender?"
"You won't kill me if I surrender, right?" Ciel said and backed away from her.
"No-"
"Hey! I need him to die, so he won't tell his human my plan, "Alois complained.
"You figure that out yourself, but I won't leave until he goes inside that building," She said pointing to the apartment.
"Then you will watch us fist fight. If I win then Sebastian dies. If he wins then he doesn't die," Alois said and balled his hands into a fist, and waited for Ciel to make the first move. Ciel charged at him, and punched him in the gut. Alois fell to the ground from the impact," Fuck!"
Ciel pinned him down, and punched him again. Alois punched Ciel in the nose which caused him to flinch, but he ignored his bloody nose, and took his knife out of his pocket. During those few seconds, Alois tugged on the knife. Ciel immediately set his mind back in defense mode, and pulled it away from the other demon. Alois slapped Ciel in the face, but Ciel didn't lose his focus this time. Instead he twisted Alois' arm, and stabbed him in the chest. Alois' voice hitched, but he wasn't out cold yet. Ciel took the knife out of his hand while he was still weak, and stabbed him again. This caused Alois to become unconscious, but it will only last a few minutes before he regenerates. Quickly, he pressed Alois' finger to piece of sellotape to get his finger print, and went inside Sebastian's aprtment. Now time to compare it to the knife he used to stab Sebastian.
When he reached the living room of his apartment, he saw Claude and Sebastian sleeping on the couch. Where they really outside for that long? Claude will have some explaining to do later, but now he needed concrete proof that Alois tried to kill Sebastian.
Xxx
The next morning, Ciel served Sebastian and Claude breakfast," Okay now we need to have a talk."
This was going to be about the Alois ordeal. He could tell. Sebastian watched Claude play with his food. Was he afraid that Alois died?
"So I learned that Alois did try to kill you Sebastian. If you want to check the finger prints then go ahead, but I had a talk with him yesterday and he told me that Claude ordered him to kill Sebastian. Is that true Claude?"
Claude straightened his back, "No, that's not true."
"Really?" Ciel raised an eyebrow. "Then where was he yesterday at 7:00?"
"I already told you, he was at a coffee shop."
Their argument lasted for about 30 minutes, until Claude said, "Okay I'm sorry I'm not saying what you want me to say, but what I'm saying is true. If you won't believe me then I'll just leave." And with that he got up and went outside.
"Wait!" Sebastian reached out to him, and then turned to Ciel, "Wait here, I'll go talk to him."
"Hey Claude what's the matter?" Sebastian asked and sat down on the chair next to him. Claude hung his head down.
"Who exactly is Alois?" Sebastian tried again. This was the chance to learn the real truth instead of listening to the crazy things Ciel said, "I won't be mad no matter what you say, you can trust me. I won't tell Ciel."
"He's a demon. Listen I told him to kill you-"
"What?"
"No! Because Alois told me the only way to save you was to kill you. If you died then your contract with Ciel will break, and he won't eat your soul. We don't have to be separated." Claude smiled, and slowed down his words, "We can spend the rest of our days in Hell together."
Sebastian couldn't help but smile. That sounded so cliché, but beautiful. "You really think it will work? I want to try it, but only after my band becomes a worldwide sensation."
"Don't you think that's a little risky? Ciel will try and eat you after you get your wish. If that even is your wish."
"Then never leave my side, and accompany me to all my concerts. Only kill me the second at least one person in every country knows about my band." Sebastian held onto Claude' hands, and rested his head on Claude's, "Don't worry, it's not like Ciel follows me around all the time."
Claude's tensed at the sudden contact, "That sounds like a good idea, but how am I supposed to know if one person from every country knows of your band?"
"I downloaded this app onto my computer which gives you the usernames and countries of everyone who buys a song."
"That doesn't sound hard. We only need to be careful when you're alone with Ciel," Claude said, and laughed, "What do you want to be killed with?"
"A knife will do."
"What's taking so long?" Ciel called.
Oh no! They took too long! "Let's go." They went back to the table, and sat down. Making eye contact with Ciel was difficult. If he looked straight into Ciel's eyes then he would look like they created a plan while they were gone, but if he avoided all eye contact with him then he ran the risk of looking guilty. So he set his gaze somewhere in the middle.
"Was it necessary for you two to take so long?"
Sebastian smirked, "What if I told you we kissed."
"This is no time for that!"
"You aren't capable of understanding."
