Hello everyone! I'm back for the finale of Season 2! Did everyone love the finale last night? Because I balled my eyes out. I am so upset that Allison and Aiden both died! I don't know what I'm going to do for this story yet but I'll figure it out once I get there. Anyways, here is the new chapter! And here comes season 3!
After driving off on her four wheeler in the woods, Sydney went to the school. She found that the game was over and police were leaving the site. What happened? The huntress walked the halls of the high school and snuck into the locker room. She heard Scott, Isaac, Derek, and surprisingly Peter Hale. The man who killed her aunt.
Derek and Scott shouted in unison, "Shut up!" When Isaac asked who Peter was, Sydney stepped out and answered him, "That's Peter, Derek's uncle. A little while back he tried to kill us all, succeeding in killing my aunt Kate. We then proceeded to set him on fire and Derek slashed his throat." Peter waved at Isaac, and Sydney stood in the middle of Derek and Scott. As always.
"What are you doing here?" Scott asked Sydney, who shrugged and replied, "I saw the police lights, thought I'd check it out." Peter chuckled at that and spoke, "Oh, Sydney Argent. Still a trouble maker I see." The huntress glared in response to that as Scott questioned, "How is he alive?" Derek snapped at Scott, giving them all the short version. He knew how to stop Jackson.
Isaac then informed them that Jackson was dead. Sydney, Derek, and Peter all looked at each other with horror. "This is not good." Sydney muttered, and Isaac questioned her on it. She responded, "If Jackson is dead, it didn't just happen. My grandfather wanted it to happen." Derek asked why, and Peter stepped up, "That's exactly what we need to figure out. And something tells me that the window of opportunity is closing quickly."
"I can go back to my house, see if I can get any information out of my family. You four find out what you can." Sydney ordered, walking towards the door. Peter pointed out, "I never took you for a double agent, Sydney. It seems I missed a lot." The huntress turned around and stated simply, "You should remember, Peter; I don't work for anyone. I stand up for what is right."
"Allison, why don't you step aside and let us handle this." Chris Argent told his youngest daughter. Allison scoffed and gave him attitude when he pointed out that Jackson was dead, "Because of Derek. How do you think Jackson became that thing in the first place? Kate. Mom. Jackson. And now Sydney too. He has her so brainwashed that she'll do whatever he says. Don't you want her back to the way she was before all of this?"
"Her friend died, Allison. Death does that to you, it changes you. Derek didn't do that to her, she just grew up. And what about Scott? I don't care about him, but I care about you." The twins' dad replied. Allison rolled her eyes at his response, "Really, dad? If you're going to start quoting from the list of the top 5 things a parent should say to their child everyday why don't you start with 'I'm proud of you for doing exactly what I wanted.'" The girl sat on her bed and huffed.
Chris shook his head and spoke, "No, Allison. You're doing exactly what he wants, we all are. Sydney is the only one who isn't." Allison then complained about wanting to sleep and Chris picked up her crossbow. "By the way, you owe Sydney a new bow since she shot her own. She needs to learn to share."
Her dad hummed and cut the string on Allison's weapon of choice, "And I owe you a new crossbow."
Sydney quietly tip toed into her own house and went straight to get her weapons. She had a feeling she would be needing them tonight. Slithering right past the hunters stationed all across the house, she went into the basement. Sydney almost fell down the stairs because it was so dark in the room, so she flicked on the light.
The huntress gasped as she saw Erica and Boyd tied up by wires to the ceiling. Sydney also noticed a hunched over figure on the floor, and she immediately recognized Stiles' lacrosse uniform. "Oh my god, Stiles." She muttered as the huntress rushed to her fallen friend. Stiles groaned as he felt hands touching his face and body, but he heard a familiar voice.
It took a minute for Stiles to fully realize who was in front of him, but when he did, he sighed in relief. Sydney touched his bloody face and Stiles flinched. The huntress apologized for not being able to protect him, but Stiles brushed it off. "Hey, Syd. I'm okay, really. Let's just- can we get out of here?" Stiles asked, and Sydney nodded quickly.
The girl looked around for a moment and grabbed her other bow, arrows, and bullets for her gun. She already had her knives with her. She stuffed everything in a bag and got ready to sneak out of the house with Stiles. Sydney then reminded herself that Boyd and Erica were there, and she told, "I'll come back for you. If I can't, I'll send someone."
Stiles and Sydney fled the scene past the hunters and out the back door. The two hurried to Sydney's car and away from the Argent house. They both sagged in relief as they put at least a mile between them and the others. "Who did that to you?" Sydney asked her friend. The teen stayed quiet a moment before he mumbled, "Your grandpa."
"So, a 75 year old man beat you up?" Sydney joked, and Stiles glared at her, "Ok, totally not funny." She stated, and after a moment she started cracking up. Stiles looked at her like she had 2 heads, she had obviously gone crazy. Then he remembered, this was the first time he talked to her since her mom died.
The laughter died down and she apologized, "I'm sorry, that wasn't funny. I'm just losing my mind as of lately." Stiles placed his hand on hers and admitted, "You can talk to me, you know. You're not the only one that has lost a parent." Sydney squeezed his hand back and silently drove the rest of the way to the Stilinski house.
"You okay from here? I have to go back and free Erica and Boyd." Sydney spoke, and Stiles nodded at her. The teen got out of the car but stopped himself from closing the door. "Hey, can I asked you a question?" The huntress nodded, and Stiles continued, "Why do you help them? Erica, Boyd, Isaac. Why?" Sydney sighed and revealed, "Because a few months ago, they were normal teenagers. Our werewolf problems dragged them into this, and even if we're supposed to hate them because they're part of Derek's pack, they're still innocents."
"Hey, umm..." Stiles stuttered, and Sydney asked, "What is it, Stiles?" The teen sighed and thought about what he was going to say for a moment before replying, "Just don't die, alright? If you die, I'll go out of my freaking mind." Sydney smiled a little, glad she had a normal friend. "The same goes for you, Stiles. You can't die on me."
Back at the Argent residence, Chris Argent stood in front of the two teenage werewolves. "You know, my family has done this for a long time. Long enough to learn how a certain level of electric current can keep you from transforming. At another level you can't heal, a few amps higher you have no heightened strength. That kind of scientific accuracy makes you wonder where the lines between the natural and the supernatural really exists."
The father watched the look of fear on the teenagers faces. They thought he was about to kill them. Chris Argent reached for the dial and spoke, "Sometimes lines like that blur. And sometimes you find yourself surprised by which side you end up on." He turned the dial so that the electric current shut off, and he left.
Sydney passed her father on the way down the stairs, and she grabbed his arm and murmured, "Thank dad." He nodded at his daughter and kissed her forehead before he left the house.
The huntress, on a mission, rushed to get to her friends. Sydney grabbed a pair of gardening shears and cut the wires holding the wolves in place. The wounded teens fell to the ground as Sydney tried to undo the wire. She succeeded, and she helped the two up. "You guys need to get out of here. Get away from Beacon Hills and don't come back."
Boyd thanked the huntress, and Erica leaped into Sydney's arms. Erica kept thanking the girl for saving them from Allison and the hunters. Sydney hugged Erica back and repeated, "Run. That's the only way you'll be safe." The brunette then pushed the werewolves through one of windows, escaping the terror of Beacon Hills.
Erica stopped for a moment and asked the huntress, "Friends then?" Sydney smiled and replied, "Who said we never were?" The werewolf smiled and took Boyd's hand, running away into the night.
At the hospital, Scott accidentally dropped Jackson's body on the ground. Suddenly, a car came up behind them and a figure got out. It was Chris Argent. "You're alone." The wolf pointed out, and the hunter stated, "More than you know." Scott asked what Mr. Argent wanted, and he replied, "We don't have much in common, Scott. But at the moment we have a common enemy."
"That's why I'm trying to get him out of here." Scott dumbly responded, and Chris shook his head at the teen, "I didn't mean Jackson." Gerard. "Gerard has twisted his way into Allison's head. The same way he did with Kate. Allison has turned against her own sister if it meant killing Derek. And Sydney may seem fine, but she's not but she needs time to heal. I'm losing them, and I know you're losing them too."
"You're right. So, can you trust me to fix this? So, can you let us go?" Scott questioned his girlfriend's dad. Chris hesitated before evaluating the situation, "No, my car's faster."
"My father wouldn't let a rabid dog live." Chris Argent stated, not knowing that Sydney was waiting for the right time to enter the battle. With Peter. Sydney decided to remain on neutral ground with Peter, even though he killed her aunt. She snapped out of her thoughts as she saw her grandfather walk into the warehouse.
"Of course not. Something that out of control is better off dead." Gerard stated menacingly, and Sydney knew shit was about to go down. Derek then tried to stab Jackson with his claws, but Jackson woke up from his transition and threw Derek across the room. Gerard then told Scott, "Well done to the last, Scott. Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. Unknowingly, bringing Derek to me."
An arrow then flew, narrowly missing Scott and hitting Isaac. This was not Sydney. "Allison." He said. Right on cue, Allison stood behind her grandfather. Scott dragged Isaac into where Derek was recovering, leaving Chris Argent to face Jackson. After emptying an entire clip, the kanima still stood unharmed. It grabbed the hunters gun with its tail, making the hunter run and use his knife.
The kanima threw Mr. Argent away, and Derek wolfed out. One by one, Isaac, Scott and Derek took on the kanima, each getting picked off. Peter looked on next to Sydney, making faces at each move. then, as Isaac got up to help Derek, Allison stabbed him multiple times with her chinese ring daggers. This was Sydney's way into the fight.
Allison was about to go for Derek, but Sydney tackled her sister to the ground. The two sisters fought against each other on the ground, Allison trying to punch her sister in the face. Sydney blocked every move her sister made, not trying to fight back. "Fight back! Fight back you coward." Allison screamed at her sister. Sydney ignored the hurt she felt from her sister's comments.
Sydney, tired of fighting her sister, pinned Allison to the ground and yelled, "Stop fighting me, Allison." The younger twin did not give up, and she had enough power to switch their positions. Allison got up to finish off the alpha, but the kanima started to slither near her. Knowing what the creature was about to do, Scott yelled his girlfriend's name. Sydney went straight into action and pushed her sister out of the monster's way.
The kanima then grabbed Sydney's throat and started to choke her. "What are you doing?" Allison asked, and Gerard spoke, "You've put up a good fight, sweetheart. But, let's face it, you don't have what it takes to kill. You don't have what it takes to be a hunter. You were never my target, but you volunteered happily. This is what I need right here. Your sister pushed you out of the way to save you, even though you have been hating her for the past few days. That's courage, that's strength."
Allison remained speechless as she saw the look in her grandfather's eyes. He set her up. He never wanted her, she had been so stupid to trust him so blindly. The wannabee hunter saw the murderous look on her sister's face; Sydney stared at her grandfather with pure hatred. Sydney then spoke up from the kanima hold, "He's doing what he came here to do."
Gerard smirked at his granddaughter, "She's smart too. Then you know." Scott then spoke up, "We both do." Gerard calculated that Scott could probably smell him when they were at the hospital. "He's dying." Isaac stated, and Gerard confirmed it, "I am, I have been for a while now. Unfortunately, science doesn't have a cure for cancer, but the supernatural does."
The kanima clutched Sydney's throat tighter, and she let out a chocking noise. "You monster, you would kill her too?" Chris asked his father, who replied, "If it came to survival, I would kill my own son." Allison said Scott's name, making him look at her. The girl nodded, telling him that it was okay. Scott then looked at Sydney, one of his best friends. She shook her head, "No, Scott. Don't do it."
Despite Sydney and Derek's protests, Scott dragged Derek over to Gerard and made the alpha bite him. Gerard rejoiced in his victory, but stopped when he started to bleed black blood. apparently, Scott replaced Gerard's pills with mountain ash. Everyone cringed as they witnessed Gerard throwing up black blood. The man fell to the ground and screamed, "Kill them! Kill them all!"
Then, Sydney elbowed the kanima in the face and dove out of the way when Stiles' jeep came crashing in. The kanima then hopped onto the hood of Stiles' car, and Lydia and Stiles screamed, immediately rushing out. On his way over to Scott, Stiles quickly helped Sydney up from the ground and over to her father. Lydia held up a house key, hoping to turn the creature back into Jackson.
It worked. Jackson stepped back from Lydia, and Peter and Derek stabbed him simultaneously with their claws. Lydia caught Jackson as he fell to the ground, crying. Jackson asked if Lydia still loved him, and she did, very much. The key dropped to the ground as Jackson slumped against Lydia, seemingly dead.
Sydney then noticed, "Wait, where's Gerard?" Her dad assured her, "He can't be far." Lydia then stood up and cried. The redhead was about to embrace Sydney, but the sound of claws scratching made her turn around. Jackson's eyes opened, and he stood up. With blue eyes, the newbie werewolf howled out.
Lydia and Jackson embraced each other, and Sydney placed a hand on Stiles' shoulder. She knew Stiles had the biggest crush on Lydia, and she felt bad for him.
The next night, Scott and Allison broke up. Sydney stood in the doorway with her father, watching. When Scott got up to leave, Sydney whispered to her dad, "I got this." Her dad nodded at her, and Sydney moved to sit next to her sister on the bed. Neither girl said anything as Sydney wrapped her arm around her sister. The girls simply sat silently, slowly mending their broken relationship.
The morning after, Sydney finished packing her bags. Her family was going to France for the summer, they all needed a vacation. She decided to muster up her Argent courage and say goodbye to some people. Sydney joined Isaac, Peter, and Derek as they walked to the Hale House. The group noticed a symbol on the door of the house.
Peter was the first to speak up, "You haven't told him everything yet have you?" A pit grew in Sydney's stomach as she recognized the symbol from the bestiary. "Why do you think Derek was in such a hurry to build his pack? So eager to strengthen his power and numbers?" Peter continued, and Sydney then added, "When there's a new alpha, people take notice."
"People like who? What is this? What does this mean?" Isaac asked, pointing at the door. Derek vaguely told him that it was their symbol, and Sydney supplied next to Peter, "It means they're coming, alphas." Isaac still didn't grasp who was coming, so Sydney continued, "A pack of them. An alpha pack."
"They're not coming, they're already here." Peter stated. This made Sydney groan, yet another problem was there. Isaac then pushed open the door and waved to Sydney, "Hey, I'll see you later." The huntress smiled and agreed, "Yeah, I hope so." Peter then gave the girl a small salute as a goodbye.
Isaac and Peter then made their way inside, leaving Derek and Sydney alone. "Are you coming in?" Derek asked her, trying to tread lightly after all he did. Sydney shook her head and answered, "No, I-um- I just came here to say goodbye. I'm leaving, I don't know for how long, but I'm going to France with my family."
Derek muttered an 'oh' and nodded, looking down. "I wanna come back, though, I just need a little bit of time." She told him, and walked up to her and admitted, "Take all the time you need. I know I screwed up, your mom is dead because of me. I can never make that up to you." Sydney gave him a sad smile in return.
Out of nowhere, the alpha took Sydney's face in his hands and kissed her. After a few moments, Derek pulled back and whispered, "I'll wait for you, no matter what." The werewolf then walked back into the house, leaving the hunter speechless. This was not a goodbye, it was a see you soon.
