(Sorry for the delay, folks. The epilogue will be short. Please forgive me, I'm suffering from writer's block T.T)
Epilogue
Archie and Heidi eventually got married, with the presence of the Basterds, Lillian, the Delacroixs, Dieter, Shosanna, Marcel and Archie's soldier company. Lillian at that time was five months pregnant. After the wedding ceremony, little Alexander was cooed around and adored by everyone. Archie retired from the army and helped out with Heidi and the bakery. Alexander grew up and entered the army.
Lillian and Donny had a success with their bakery. Their first born son, Donny Jr. ended up being a soldier like his father, their girls helped out and when they were old enough, Donny and Lillian retired and let the girls took over the bakery. Their other son, named after Lillian's brother, Mischa became a school teacher.
Shosanna and Marcel also got married and lived happily at their farm. The Delacroix continued to work with Heidi at the bakery until Mrs. Delacroix retired due to her old age, which her daughter, who happened to love baking, took over her mother's place at the bakery. The rest of the Basterds got married too and found their happy endings.
Dieter decided to roam across Europe and found his own love life with an English nurse when he met a small accident and needed of a little patch up. Heidi couldn't come due to her condition, which she was pregnant with her second child and was near to her due date. Dieter became a lecturer in teaching German language at a university and settled down with his new wife in England.
Heidi sat in her room as she nursed her second child, a baby girl named Georgiana and she reminisced over her life so far. Then, she heard a soft tap at the door. Archie poked his head in and asked, "Is she asleep?".
Heidi nodded and asked, "Alexander?".
"Finally, after running around town and laughing. It tires him", said Archie as he crept slowly towards the bed and settled himself next to his wife.
Heidi got up to put Georgiana in her basinet before settling back next to her husband. Archie wrapped his arms around her shoulder and pulled her closer. "Good evening, husband", said Heidi and she kissed his nose.
"Good evening, wife", he said, "Want to play a game?".
"Does that involves no clothes and a possible sibling for our two children?", asked Heidi as she was accustomed to his charm.
"More or less", said Archie as he gave her a cheeky grin. They kissed and sealed their fate with it. She loved him and he loved her. They have two wonderful children and friends and family around them that support and love them; moreover, they support and love each other no matter what.
