Chpt. 12

Training Grounds

BAM! Boot's foot flew straight up as it hit the dummy's face. He spun around and roundhouse'd it, and then he grabbed its head and jammed his boots into his opponent's gut and backflipped off, the dummy's head still in his grasp. Boot was panting and his sweat was dripping off his nose.

He went back to attacking the dummy thinking to himself RAZR, it had to be RAZR. It's not like I already had enough on my plate with Yang and RWBY, but now I need to deal with her and teach a bunch of brats. He had finished his workout and started to shower. And what's this mission that Ozpin and the rest his staff are going on that's so dangerous? He walked to the teacher quarters where RAZR and BLDE would be staying. Ugh, screw this, I'm gonna chill out and take a nap.

Petal Diner

The six graduates walked into the diner and were greeted by a very old, wrinkley hostess who was smoking a cigarette butt.

"What can I do ya for?" she said with a raspy voice.

"Table for six please," replied Emily kindly.

"Right this way." She sat them down at a corner table saying, "Your waitress will be right with you."

They all got comfortable and reached for menus. "Oh, those nevermore BBQ wings look really good," said Rachel.

"Are you kidding me?" said Vick in amazement, "They have an entire roast boarbatusk! This is the best idea you've ever had Aurora."

She mumbled a soft thank you and smiled.

A younger waitress in a yellow outfit with long magenta hair walked up with a pen and paper, "Hello my name is Luna, what may I get you?"

Happy stood up and looked at her, "Luna, Oh my god!"

She looked up, "Happy, oh it's been such a long time." Happy picked her up and spun her in his arms while she was laughing with joy. "I see the rest of BLDE is with you, how are you guys?"

"Hey Luna," responded Vick.

"We're fine, thanks," replied Emily.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, who is this?" asked Rachel.

"That," Vick said pointing to Happy and Luna making out, "Is Happy's girlfriend."

"Really? When did happy get a girlfriend?"

"Do you know the 'From Dust til Dawn' dust shop?" asked Emily.

"Yea, the one by the docks?"

"Yes, well Luna's grandfather owns that shop, and Happy used to go there all the time during the last year at Beacon. They met there and it was almost love at first sight," said Emily.

Luna spoke up, "Oh come on, you make it sound much more romantic than actually is. Anyways, who are your new friends? And where's Boot?"

"He's Zack, the quiet one is Aurora, and the one who looks like she's about to die of starvation is Rachel," Happy said pointing to each one, "And Boot got into an argument with their leader Remula so he's blowing off some steam."

Rachel groaned loudly, "Foooooooood. Require sustenance."

"I suppose I'll put your orders in, and then I'll take my break and talk with you guys."

Several minutes later

"So let me get this straight, you guys saved the people that saved my grandfather's shop?" asked Luna.

"Well, we saved the team who saved it, Vick met the girl who saved it twice," stated Emily.

"Then you guys found out what happened to them when they went out on the super dangerous mission, and it turns out that Boot had a sister he never mentioned who is a part of that team and that sister hates him."

"Yes," said Happy.

"And now you all have been assigned as substitute teachers at Beacon because the real teachers are going on a super dangerous mission, but BLDE was teamed with RAZR who just so happens to have the ex-girlfriend of Boot on it."

"Yep," the rest of them replied in unison.

Luna whistled lowly, "Wow, this is a bad week for Boot."

"You god vat righ sis," said Vick with his cheeks stuffed with boarbatusk meat, "Man, this suff iv goo."

"I'm glad you enjoy it, Gonzo is a genius in the kitchen, at least when it has meat in it," Luna said.

"I still don't get how you freaky kids can manage to eat an entire roast boarbatusk and entire platter or nevermore BBQ wings," the extremely buff cook yelled from behind the counter.

Rachel was patting her bar-be-que covered lips with a napkin, "That was tasty, my compliments to the Gonzo. Oh guys, it's getting late. We should probably be heading back."

"Yea, Remula and Boot are probably strangling each other by now," said Zack, "So, who's paying?"

Everyone then turned their heads toward Vick, who was still eating his boarbatusk, and Rachel, who was picking her teeth for meat.

"I don gaw no monah," said Vick finally swallowing, "Hey Em, I'll owe you."

"Fine."

"Zack, you owe me still," said Rachel.

"Oh that was ages ago," Rachel continued to stare at Zack, "Fine."

Later at Beacon Academy

"Guess who!?" Rachel yelled as she entered the teachers' quarters.

Boot, who was sleeping in one of the quadruple stacked bunk beds, awoke in surprise and hit his face, "OW!"

Remula was sitting at a small table, drinking coffee and reading the news on her scroll. She said, "Now that everyone is present, Ozpin told us that the teachers left class notes for the rest of the week on their desks, everyone has at least one class tomorrow, and we should all go to bed early. Good night." She went to her bunk and closed her eyes.

Boot then curled up and also went back to bed hearing the rest of his team do the same as well.

Will Boot snap because of all the stress? Why are these chapters taking so long to come out? Who is asking these questions and why?
