Hey guys, I am here with another episode of Back to the Beginning. As you can probably tell, this story is coming to the climax. So what I'm asking you guys is do you have any suggestions or ideas to close the season off? I'm quite stuck for ideas recently so I'm accepting ideas from you lot. Do tell me in your reviews. I do not own Wizards of Waverly Place or any of its characters.
Alex's POV
Well, after our adventures in Wiztech the rest of the summer was relatively peaceful. Justin and I spent some time going to the movies or just having a few magic carpet rides.
When we go out, we of course have to pretend to be siblings when we are on a date around Waverly Place just in case somebody recognizes us and calls us out on it. We did have quite a few close calls when Riley, this guy in my grade spotted us at a cafe when we were on a date.
"So let me get this straight, you of all people want to go try out for the baseball team that Dad is coaching? Can you at least tell me your reasoning behind this?" I asked Justin when he told me what he wanted to do one day at breakfast.
"Don't get too surprised, Lex. I want to challenge myself this summer so yeah. Furthermore, with Dad coaching the team things are going to be interesting. This is without mentioning that I did make it on the team back in my own timeline." Justin told me as I ate a spoonful of my cereal.
I must admit, it did seem kinda surprising that Justin made it onto the team but then he told me that he used the telekinesis spell to cheat his way in made me laugh. I am curious to why did he want to join the team the first time though.
Justin then went to the baseball tryouts and I just went along as I didn't really have anything to do that particular day. Riley was there as well and I went to say hi to him, acting oblivious to Justin's jealous look. Riley seems like quite a nice guy and I would bet anything that I dated him in Justin's original timeline.
"Not that I don't like having you here, Alex but what are you doing here anyway? It's not like you want to try out for the team right?" Riley asked me and we both laughed at his little joke.
"Well, I didn't really have anything to do today so I decided to check the tryouts out. With my dad freaking out and my brother screwing up, I bet this is going to be more exciting than watching TV at home." I laughed as I told Riley this and he then went over to his teammates after bidding me goodbye.
I then spotted Justin chatting with this blonde girl named Kari and I would be lying if I didn't feel just that teeny bit jealous. To Justin's credit, he didn't seem particularly interested in her and that did make me feel a little better.
The Baseball tryouts have been interesting and it amazed me that Justin did make it onto the team, although I'm unsure whether did he use the Tonuman Kinesis spell. I did manage to make my way over to Kari and talked to her, she seems a nice if not a little clueless. It is probably better for me to widen my social circle beyond just Harper anyway.
"So Kari, what are you doing here at the tryouts anyway? Are you supporting your boyfriend or something because I doubt that you are just her because you just support the team." Alex asked Kari as they were watching Riley pitch to Justin who was practicing his swing.
"Oh, I'm here because I like watching baseball. I sometimes come to this team's practices so I can talk Justin and a few of the players. They are always so nice to me and I enjoy talking to them." Kari said to me and I just laughed at her obliviousness.
Soon enough, Kari and I began hanging out while it seems that Justin and Riley were getting closer as well. With Justin, Zack(who Justin says is his best friend) and Riley around the house, I usually go to the mall with Harper and Kari to avoid the guy zone at home.
We did run into Miranda, Justin's ex at the mall one day and we hang out with her on and off. She's probably the perkiest goth I have ever seems kinda ironic if you asked me. We did go and watch a few of the baseball games that Justin and Dad are at, to which the girls all enjoyed looking at the eye candy.
"Hey Justin, I have been wondering about something. Should we get worried that nothing bad or disturbing has come to us since Wiztech?" I asked Justin one day while we were just sitting on the couch watching a movie late at night.
"I have been thinking about that myself. Now we are sure that people like TJ and Brad are out to get us but I haven't seen either of them for awhile and Evilini has been sent to Azbakan. I guess we should just enjoy the peace that we have now and don't complain." Justin told me before he leaned in to kiss me.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that I have seen Brad and TJ at the baseball games and spying on me at least twice apiece but they seem to be separate. I just hope that this situation doesn't get worse or it could get messy.
This summer has been quite fun so far as I finally have a group of girl friends to hang out with, although they are all quirky and funny in their own special way. Harper particularly seems extra happy to have more people to hang around with.
Yeah, this chapter had nothing to do with the overall story arc but it was a breather chapter I guess. It seems right for a change of pace and I wanted to give Justin and Alex a group of friends as they seemed a little too much like loners in canon so yeah. So, do tell me your suggestions and what you guys think in your reviews and I will see you guys next time.
