~Jumping Further into the Past~

Chapter 11

P.O.V.- Kagome

"Lord Kasai, what is it you need? I was just about to retire for the evening."

"I was hoping to talk to you for a bit to find out more about you. Would you care to join me for a walk in the gardens for a while before you retire to you champers for the night?"

I held in my aggravation at the situation before glancing towards my door in longing. Slowly turning from my door, I peered over at the red headed phoenix.

"I guess I could spare a little time, to join you for a walk through the gardens, but only for little bit."

When I saw the grin that took over his face I could barely contain the urge to roll my eyes. Great I think he might like me as more than a friend. We just met so I can't understand why. It doesn't matter though cause there is only one demon powerful enough to tame my power. Soon you will be mine Touga and Izayoi will cease to exist on this plane. I was shaken from my thoughts as Lord Kasai continued to call out my name.

"Ah, I am sorry Lord Kasai, I was momentarily lost in thought."

"It is quite alright Kagome, Shall we continue on our way to the gardens?"

We both continued on our way toward the garden as we continued small talk. As we walked around the garden we came across a beautiful bush of rose's. Slowing down to a stop as Lord Kasai paused in front of the rose bush. I watched as he leaned down to cut the stem off a particularly big lush looking rose being careful to avoid the thorns.

"Do you wish to know why the rose is one of my favorite flowers that the Kami's ever graced on this world?"

He spoke gently as he slowly rimmed the thorns of the rose. He glanced up at me as I nodded. Looking deeply into my eyes he slowly brought the thornless rose to test behind my ear.

"The rose looks so delicate and dainty just tempting anyone to pick it from where it rests. Unfortunately for some they reach to quickly and forget about the thorns that defend it so valiantly…"

Just as I opened my mouth to tell him I loved another, a great demonic aura blasted over the area simmering in anger and Jealousy.

P.O.V.- Inutaisho

I slowly leaned back from my pile of papers, while rubbing the bridge of my nose in frustration.

Beast I grow wary of this tedious work that comes along with being a lord…

The only good thing about being within your head and not out into the world.

A deep chuckle followed behind that statement.

Haha very funny beast, Doesn't matter anyways. If I were to allow you to attempt this paperwork you'd probably start an unintentional war with one of the other lods.

Grr… If anyone starts a war it will be you…

I felt my beast slowly fade to the back of my mind. I guess I will check up on Sesshomaru and Kagome before continuing back to my mountains of paperwork.

Walking towards Sesshomaru's room I came to a stop at his door before gently pushing it open. Being as quiet as possible I looked over at him resting on his bed. Watching as his chest slowly rose up before falling down again, a smile came to my face before I left the room to head towards Kagome's room.

I came to a sudden halt when I smelt lord Kasai's scent mixed within Kagome's outside her door. My eye's flashed red before I took in a deep breath and headed towards the gardens.

Finally arriving in the gardens I watched as Lord Kasai tucked a rose behind Kagome's ear before whispering in her ear. I could no longer watch so I let my rage over take me as I let my aura loose.

"Lord Kasai what is the meaning behind this?" My voice came out in low guttural growls.

"Lord Inutaisho it is so nice of you to join us. I was just taking the Lady Kagome for a lovely midnight stroll through the gardens."

I watched as a smirk lit up his face. Letting out a deep snarl as I stalked towards him, I glanced over at Kagome's face, before settling my gaze back on Lord Kasai's.

Just as I was about to charge at Kasai, he glanced towards me and gave me a wink before disappearing. Most likely back to his rooms. Letting out a disgruntled noise I glanced at Kagome again as she spoke my name in a breathy whisper.

"Touga.." before she even had a chance to continue I was upon her. I nuzzled her neck where I planned to one day soon mark her as my mate forever.

"Mate…" I growled gently to her. I heard her gasp in surprise before I felt two hands gently place themselves on either cheek. With a gentle tug by her, I was looking into her soulful eyes.

"Touga did you truly mean what you just now said?"

I could see the wary look in her eyes. So to appease her I nodded my head yes. Before I even had a chance to comprehend what was happening her lips were pressed roughly against mine. After our passionate kiss I hear her say the most wonderful words ever.

"Took you long enough! I've been waiting for you to say those words to me forever. Dare I say since the very first moment I meet you." She spoke with the most amazing smile on her face.

"I'm sorry I made you wait or me for so long mate. I just had some unsorted out thoughts and feelings to resolve."

"I forgive you, but what do you plan to do with Izayoi?"

"I plan on talking to her tomorrow. Since she doesn't want our pup, I will take it upon its birth and we will raise it together as our pup."

She looked up at me with such a loving face that I couldn't stop myself from capturing her sweet lips with my own again.

Pulling back from her I leaned my head against hers, "How do you feel about completing our mating tonight?"

She let out a small giggle before wrapping her arms around my neck before whispering in my ear, "I'd like nothing more mate…"

Touga needed no other incentive before racing off towards his room in haste. That night the house of the moon gained it's lady but unfortunately their happiness would not last for long...
