THREE DAYS LATER
There was someone speaking in the distance. It was hard to hear because the voices were muffled. Ryan forced his eyes open. The light from the Hospital wing was blinding him. He looked around the room. On the bed opposite of him, Hilary was laying still unconscious. He grabbed a bottle on the table beside his bed and threw it at her. It fell short and landed on the ground. The clatter of the bottle hitting the floor, was enough to make Hilary stir. She turned over and slowly opened her eyes, "Hey Ryan, how long have I been out for?"
Ryan stifled a yawn, "Your guess is as good as mine. I woke up just before you did. Do you hear those voices outside the door? Who is it?"
Hilary strained to listen, "It sounds like Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall. What are they talking about?"
The voices grew louder until they were right outside the door. They could hear Professor McGonagall's stern voice, "Is it true Albus? Did Miss Vandertramp do this?"
"Yes, I'm afraid it's true." He replied.
McGonagall pressed on, "But, why? What brought all of this on?"
There was silence for a moment before Dumbledore spoke, "Young Amanda has awakened the terrifying power within her. It may have been because she needed it to help search for her brother."
"But it's such dark magic. Why in the world would she use it on two of her dearest friends? Better yet, how on earth could she use such magic?" Asked McGonagall astounded.
"She panicked, Minerva. I do not believe she intended to do what she did. I'm just very glad that she did not do further harm. A bit more force and I do not think they would have made it. It surprises me that all they got from the attack was being unconscious for three days. As for the second question, I have a slight idea as to who taught her these things."
The door opened as McGonagall said, "Well, let's just hope we find her soon. As for these two."
She looked towards the beds, "And what might I ask are you two doing up? You should be resting. You were both seriously injured."
"I'm sorry Professor, I heard voices and that's what woke me up and Hilary just woke up."
Hilary looked at the Headmaster, "Professor? Please tell us that you know where Amanda is."
Dumbledore shook his head, "We know just as much as you Miss Black. However if there is anything that you know, please feel free to share it."
Hilary shook her head as well, "We have no idea where she could have gone."
Dumbledore looked at her gravely, "I advise both you and Mr. Nelson not to do anything rash. I already have much more adept people searching. It would not help matters if the both of you suddenly disappeared as well."
Hilary frowned, then quickly replaced it with a smile, "Of course we wont professor. Just promise that if you figure out anything, you'll tell us. We're her best friends and we have every right to know."
Dumbledore smiled at her, "I will. You two best rest. You've both been through quite an ordeal. I shall contact you in some way if I find out anything new."
Then he left. McGonagall followed closely behind him, closing the door behind her.
Ryan settled back into his bed and closed his eyes. "What are you doing? We have to go find Amanda!" Shouted Hilary.
Ryan opened his yes, "What!? You heard Dumbledore, we can't go and he said that he'd tell us if there was any new information on her where abouts."
Hilary jumped out of bed and strode over to him, "Are you crazy? We know Amanda best, if we can't find her nobody can. We have to go Ryan. But if you're to chicken , I guess I could go alone."
Ryan glowered at her, "That's not fair. I care about Amanda just as much as you do and I'm not chicken. But think about it, what could we possibly do against Voldemort?"
Hilary rolled her eyes, "That's why we have to find her before she gets to Voldemort. She probably has no idea where to find him. So, I know we can find her before she reaches him."
Ryan sighed, "Do we at least have time to go and eat something?"
Hilary smiled, "Of course. We can't go alone either. So we'll go and fine Harry, Ron and Hermione and ask them to come with us."
"Fine. Let's go look for them now then." Said Ryan.
They snuck out of the Hospital Wing and headed for the Gryffindor Common Room. When they arrived they realized that they didn't know the password. They were busy saying every magical word they knew when the door suddenly opened. Ron came out and stopped when he saw them, "When did you guys get out of the Hospital Wing?"
Ryan grinned, "Just now. Can you get Harry and Hermione and meet us in the Library?"
"Why the Library?" Asked Hilary.
"Barely anybody is there at this hour and I want to look up something. I know Hermione would probably prefer it too." Said Ryan.
"That makes sense. I'll go get them now and we'll meet you there in about five minutes." Said Ron.
He ran back into the common room and Hilary and Ryan ran off to the Library to wait.
LIBRARY
Shyanne was walking past the Library headed for the Great hall, when she heard a familiar voice, "We are going with you guys. Whether you like it or not. Forrest is our friend and we have every right to go."
Shyanne snuck into the Library and found Hilary, Harry, Hermione, Ryan, Ron, Darcy and Kristy sitting at a long table by the far window. "You can't come with us. We're to many as it is." Said Ryan.
"We'll just go alone then. It's not like you can stop us." Said Kristy.
Hilary shook her head, "It's way to danger-"
"Don't even think about saying that it's too dangerous. If it's too dangerous for us then I think Kristy and I will go talk to the headmaster about this. We'll tell him that it's also dangerous for you guys to go." Said Darcy.
Shyanne grinned, "That's very Slytherin of you Darcy."
Darcy looked at her disgusted, "Don't put me in the same classification as you."
"Don't worry. No matter how Slytherin you might seem, you'd never be in the same league as me. Not even close." Replied Shyanne.
"Can you just get the fuck out of here?" Asked Hilary.
"Public Library. Do you know what that means? Anyone can be in here and since I'm here I'd like to join this conversation." Said Shyanne.
"Like fucking hell!" Snarled Hilary.
Harry sighed, "Hilary, relax. That's not a bad idea. Think about you guys. She knows things that we don't. She might even know things that could help us find what we're looking for."
"Are you crazy? She's a Slytherin. She'd only help us if there was something in it for her. She might just betray us." Said Ron.
Shyanne laughed, "You're going after Amanda aren't you? This is insane, I've never met anyone who's gotten so powerful so fast."
"Do you know anything?" Said Ryan.
Shyanne turned to Harry, "You're trying to find out where Voldemort is right? That's where she went, because that's where Forrest is?"
Harry nodded. Shyanne grinned, "I'm coming with you then and there's not point trying to say no, because I've already made up my mind."
Hilary and Ron were about to protest when Harry cut in, "Fine. Thanks for helping. I don't know what's bringing on this sudden interest of yours. But let's just do it."
Shyanne grinned, "Ok. So, what's the plan losers?"
"Do you know exactly where the Riddle house is? Asked Harry.
"I know the general direction and once we get close enough I'll be able to tell where we are." Said Shyanne.
"Ok, that's good enough." Harry then turned to everyone else, "You guys, this is going to be extremely dangerous. None of us will judge any of you, if you choose to stay."
Darcy turned to Kristy, "How much do you want to bet that comment was meant for us?"
Kristy rolled her eyes, "It doesn't take a Ravenclaw to know that one."
Hilary glared at them, "We're only trying to look out for the two of you, it's dangerous out there."
Shyanne laughed, "They're smarter and more skilled than you think. If anything, you're the one who's going to be the burden."
"That's enough you guys. Hilary, Shyanne's right. They are very skilled and very smart. They know what they're getting in to. They're coming. So let's just drop it." Said Ryan.
"No that we have that settled, let's go." Said Harry.
SOMEWHERE IN THE WOODS
Amanda had no idea where she was, or why this was the place her mind had brought her to. But worst of all, she was afraid. She was angry. She was mad at Travis, mad at Voldemort, but most of all she was mad at herself. Ryan and Hilary had only tried to help her and she had hurt them. Travis was plain evil, she should have known better than to trust him. She should have listening to Ryan and Hilary. If she had she would have been safe at Hogwarts and Dumbledore would have found Forrest.
She wanted nothing more than to save Forrest. The one thing that was impossible for her to do. She had never asked Travis how they'd find Voldemort. She was hopeless and had learned those evil things and drove her friends away for nothing. She wanted them there with her. To help her. They'd know what to do and Harry always had a plan. They almost always worked too.
Amanda knew that she was walking in circles. She was alone and hungry. It was too risky to get food, so she had been living off of the fruit and mushrooms that she had found. She wished she would have planned things out before she left. But she also knew that if she would have stayed longer, nobody would have let her leave. To make matters worse, it had started to rain. She sat down under a thick spruce tree to wait for it to stop.
She must have fallen asleep because when she opened her eyes it was dark and the rain had stopped. She sat there for a moment thinking about her next move. She wished she was back at Hogwarts, it would be dinner time now. She could even smell her favorite food, chicken. She could almost taste it. Her eyes snapped open. She realized that the smell wasn't just a day dream. The aroma drifted around her and she felt her mouth water. She remembered passing through a clearing awhile back. That must be where the scent was coming from. She back tracked until she reached it. She looked around a tree and her jaw dropped. Harry, Ryan, Ron, Hilary, Hermione, Kristy and Darcy were there. She stepped out of the bush and ran to their fire, "You guys! How did you find me here?"
They all jumped, startled by Amandas sudden appearance. Hilary ran up and hugged her, "Amanda, we've been looking for you forever. We thought we'd never find you! How are you?"
Ryan grinned, "We didn't really find her, she kind of found us."
"I can't believe you guys came and found me after I nearly killed you. I'm so sorry guys. I should have listened to you, but I just wanted to save my brother so much. I lost myself for a while." Sobbed Amanda.
"It's ok Amanda. We wouldn't be here if we didn't forgive you. We're going to save your brother. We promise." Said Hermione.
Amanda showed a small smile, "It's hopeless you guys. None of us have any idea where to start looking."
"Of course you guys don't. But I do."
Amanda whipped around. Shyanne was leaning against a tree on the far side of the clearing. Amanda jumped up, "What the fuck are you doing here?"
Ryan stood up quickly and grabbed a hold of Amanda, "Sit down and we'll try to explain it as best as we can."
"No, don't bother. Let's just start." Said Amanda.
Harry turned to Shyanne, "Yeah, where should we start?"
"Voldemort is staying less than two hours away from here. In the Riddle house." Said Shyanne.
"And how do you know this?" Asked Ron.
"Well, Dumbledore makes my father go to the meeting to spy. He forgets to clean up his papers sometimes and I can't help it if I accidentally see them."
Amanda jumped up, "Let's get going then."
Hermione looked at her, "Are you crazy? We can't go right now. We have no plan, no nothing."
Shyanne shook her head, "I can't believe that I'm saying this and I promise that I will never again, but I agree with Amanda. It's two hours away if we walk fast. That's plenty of time to make a plan. I doubt you guys want to wait because the longer you wait the longer Forrest is going to suffer. Not like I really care, but I'm sure that you guys do."
"Yeah, I say we go now too. If we still don't have a solid plan by the time we get there. We'll wait until morning." Said Harry.
THE RIDDLE HOUSE
His Death Eaters were seated in front of the grand fireplace waiting for the Dark Lord to arrive. The door crashed open and Voldemort entered, flanked by a nervous looking Wormtail. Voldemort's plans were not going as he had expected. He was as unpredictable as ever and could turn on any one of them in a split second. He calmly strode to his seat and motioned for Wormtail to do the same. He looked around at his followers.
Lucius Malfoy on his immediate right. Next to him Mulcibur, followed by McNair. Then there was Crabbe, Goyle and Fenrir Greyback. Across from Voldemort was Rudolphus Lestrange. On his right was Wormtail, Avery, Travers, Yaxley and Bellatrix Lestrange. The seat on Voldemort's immediate left belonged to Travis. It was empty. Everyone had noticed this and were very happy. They waited excitedly for Voldemort to notice this as well. His golden boy, not showing up to such an important meeting. Travis would finally get what he deserved. They were sick of him disrespecting their Lord without receiving the punishment that they would have.
Voldemort studied each of their faces before speaking, "I see that you are well, happy even. Tell me Avery, why is that?"
Avery looked down nervously, his eyes flickered to the empty seat, "Being in the presence of you my Lord, makes us very happy."
Voldemort did not miss the flicker of Avery's eyes. He looked at the empty seat, "Ah, yes. Travis is not here. You were all hoping that he would be punished for not showing up?" He turned back to Avery, "He is doing something else for me. I have already informed him of my new plans, as I am about to inform you."
You could hear the longing in the voice of Bellatrix, "My lord, may I ask what Travis is doing for you? As I have told you before, you do not have to use him. I would gladly do anything for you. He only thinks of himself, he's unhinged, unfaithful. My lord, please let me prove that I am not."
Voldemort gazed at her, "He is watching over our guest. Something that you cannot do. You simply do not have the skill. I know you are faithful to me Bella, that is something that you do not have to prove." He glared around at the rest of them, "As for the rest of you. Your incompetence is starting to wear thin on my patience. Any more mistakes from any of you will result in punishment. The girl should have already been here. Are any of you even searching? She cannot find this place alone."
He then turned to Fenrir, "Any sightings Greyback?"
Fenrir shook his head, "My lord, if you'd let me leave now. I shall keep searching until I locate her."
Voldemort tilted his head, "Why do you wish to leave? Does being here disappoint you?"
"No, my lord. It's just that Travis hasn't laid eyes on me since I was staying with his family. If he knew that I was here, I don't think I'd be capable of looking for anyone later." Replied Fenrir.
Voldemort grinned, "Ah, that's right. I'm sorry Fenrir, I forgot about you and him." He then frowned, "Go find her now then, but hear this. If you return without her, I will tell Travis that you are here and I shall not stop him from doing whatever he wishes."
Fenrir stood up and bowed, "Thank-you, my lord."
He then hurried out the door.
OUTSIDE THE RIDDLE HOUSE
"There it is." Said Shyanne.
The Riddle house was huge. You could have called it a mansion, with four floors in total. They could see people moving around on the first floor. The second floor was dark. The two top floors each had a light on. The top floor had a grand window. Shyanne grinned, "That's where they hold their meetings. The floor below that is where they keep their prisoners. That's probably where Forrest is being held."
Harry surveyed the scene, "Ok, Death Eaters on the first, nothing on the second. Next comes Forrest and then above him is Voldemort. If we can get past the first floor undetected, the only thing we'll have to worry about is if there are Death Eaters guarding the room that Forrest is in. We'll have to take them out quietly so that Voldemort doesn't find out we're there."
"That's a good plan, Harry. But, I doubt we could do it all undetected. So, I think we should split into two groups. We'll all get to the second floor and we'll split up there. One group will start causing a commotion to draw everyone away. The second group will slip by undetected, take out the Death Eaters still guarding Forrest. Then we'll get out of there as fast as we can." Said Hermione.
"That sounds very dangerous. It's the only plan we have right now though." Said Ryan.
Hermione then looked around at them all, "What are the groups going to be?"
They all knew the group causing the havoc would be in the most danger. Shyanne was the first to speak, "Obviously you'll need someone who can survive for awhile. So, I'll be apart of the first group."
"So will I." Said Ryan
"Me too." Said Darcy.
Kristy stood up, "And me."
Hilary also stepped forward, "I'm in."
Shyanne laughed, "You? You'll last like two seconds."
"Better than your one second." Replied Hilary.
Harry smiled, "Ok, Amanda, Ron, Hermione and I will go up and get Forrest. We'll meet you all back here. So, let's cast Disillision charms and get under the cloak."
After the charm was done on each of them, they pulled the cloak over their heads. They were about to step onto the porch when a man burst through the door, practically ripping it off of its hinges. They felt Shyanne cringe. He was around six feet tall, he had a whiskery beard, and his eyes were bloodshot. He looked half animal and that theory proved correct when he loped away on all fours.
Shyanne let out the breath she had been holding in, "That was Fenrir Greyback. He's a Werewolf. He takes pleasure in stealing little kids and eating them. He's a monster, night of the full moon or not."
"You mean he eats them when he's human?" Squeaked Hermione.
"Yes." Said Shyanne.
They moved towards the open door and slowly snuck inside. There was Death Eaters all over the place. A few were in a corner drinking Fire Whiskey and playing some sort of wizard card game. There was ten of them in the center of the room relaxing by the fire. Another five of them were arguing about something on a table by the grand staircase. Harry motioned for them all to be silent as they crept past them and up the stairs. They made it to the second floor without any trouble. They snuck into an unlocked room and pulled off the cloak. Hermione fell to the floor, "That was the most scariest thing I've ever done in my entire life."
Nobody answered. To busy thinking of the dangerous task ahead of them. Shyanne grinned at Hilary, "Are you scared?"
"Um, yeah. Don't pretend like you aren't either." Replied Hilary.
Shyanne laughed, "You're right. I like it better that way, fear keeps you on the edge. But anyways, let's do this shit."
She slipped out the door before anyone could say anything. Ryan motioned for Kristy and Darcy to follow. He looked back at Harry, "You'll know when we start, so just wait until then."
Then he and Harry followed Shyanne out the door, with Darcy and Kristy in tow.
Harry turned to the others, "Ok, we can't stop for anything. Our job is to get in and out as fast as we can. When we get up there, Ron and I will take out whatever Death Eaters they standing guard. Hermione will help if we need it. Amanda you'll go in and get your brother. Once you've got him we'll leave."
They all nodded and then settled down to wait for it to begin.
THIRD FLOOR
Forrest had been kept prisoner in the fluffy pink room for weeks. He woke up laying on a soft carpet, feeling surprisingly warm. When he realized that his mind was free, he tried to move. He couldn't. He glanced over at the couch by the fireplace. Travis was flung across it, half asleep. It was the first time Forrest had seen Travis since he'd been here. Travis had been the guy who had put him under the Imperius curse. Made him write the note to Amanda. Travis had know that Amanda who come to help him. He knew Dumbledore wouldn't believe her, ensuring she'd come alone. Forrest glared at the almost sleeping form, "Why did you bring me here? What do you find so interesting about Amanda and I?"
Travis opened his eyes groggily. He slowly turned himself to face Forrest, "I don't think you guys are special in any way. I brought you here because I was told too. Voldemort wanted you for his own reasons. I could care less really."
Forrest frowned, "What, you don't call him lord? I'm surprised. Isn't he your master?"
The usual smile that Travis had turned into a frown, "Nobody is the master of me. I do what I want, whenever I want. This job I'm doing for him now are things I'm doing by choice. Not because he told me to."
Forrest rolled his eyes, "You said yourself that you could care less about what he's doing. So either your lying about him being your master or you have a real reason to do this."
Travis pushed himself off of the couch and strolled towards him. He sat down in front of Forrest on the floor, "My father always told me that if I followed the rules and treated others the way I'd like to be treated, I'd have a good life. It would be filled with happiness and nothing would go wrong. He was a great man. Always thinking of others before he'd think about himself. Never breaking the law and always trying to help those less unfortunate then himself."
Forrest was trying to break free, so he urged Travis to keep talking, "If he's a good man then I'm sure he brought you up right. There is no reason why you should be doing this."
Travis looked down at him, "He died, Forrest. The things he believed in, ended up killing him. My father was like Dumbledore, he had to believe the best in people." He paused, then decided to continue, "When I was eleven a man by the name of Fenrir Greyback came to our home. Everyone knew what he was and that he had aligned himself with Voldemort. He fed my father a bullshit story about how he was sorry for the things that he had done and how he had no where else to go. Of course, my father believed him and let him stay with us."
Travis flung himself down onto his back and stared up at the ceiling, "Children from the town started to disappear. Wizards from the ministry kept coming to our house looking for him. Fenrir kept telling my father lies about the disappearances. He said that Voldemort was sending people to look for him and they killed the people they thought had anything to do with hiding him. The ministry started to think that my father was helping Voldemort because he was arguing in Fenrir's defense. My dad was arrested for conspiring with Voldemort. He was sent to Azkaban and that's where he stayed until he died. Fenrir then killed my mom and continued on to kill the rest of my family. The only reason I'm still alive is because after my father went to Azkaban, I left for my first year of school at Durmstrang."
"If Voldemort was one of the main reasons your family died, why are you doing this for him?" Asked Forrest.
Travis sat up, "I need something from him. Then, when I get it. I'll use the power that my father refused to acknowledge."
"What power?" Asked Forrest.
Travis grinned, "Don't you know anything about your history?"
Forrest raised his eyebrows, "Should I know?"
Travis laughed, "I guess you wouldn't. There are certain wizarding families that have stronger bloodlines than others. I'm not talking about the average purebloods either. You, Amanda, a few others and I are the new generation of those lines. Our ancestors were dark wizards. They had the ability to perform dark magic that Voldemort couldn't even try to attempt. The power to do anything. Our families eventually stopped using the power. Which is why you and your sister know nothing about it. But, I won't be played a fool like my father was. I'm going to do what I want, when I want. If anyone tries standing in my way, I have to be able to stop them. Which is why I taught myself how to use and control my abilities. I'm unbeatable, Forrest. Which is why I don't fear Voldemort or the law. I don't even fear death."
Forrest found that he was finally able to move. He sat up, "So, what you're telling me is that you won't die? You'll live forever?"
Travis grinned, "You got it. Until I choose to die, I'll live. Voldemort want's that same power. He needs someone who can't stop him from taking it from them."
"Well then why does he need Amanda? Wouldn't I be enough?" Asked Forrest.
"You're right. You would be enough. If Voldemort takes your powers for his own, he won't be as strong as he would be if he was born with them. He doesn't want to take the risk of their being anyone who can potentially be a threat. He can't do anything about me, but those who know nothing, he's going to destroy them. He doesn't want to give them the chance to learn." Replied Travis.
A blast echoed from somewhere below them. Travis jumped up and pulled out his wand, "Looks like your sister finally decided to join the party."
Forrest launched himself at Travis. Knocking him to the ground. His wand fell out of his hand and rolled across the room. Forrest was punching Travis has hard as he could. Travis smiled as blood poured down his face. Forrest growled, "Why the fuck are you smiling? I'm beating the fuck out of you, idiot!"
Travis laughed, "You can beat the crap out of me all you want. A bit of blood and pain mean nothing to someone who will never die. I'm extremely interested to know how you keep breaking out of my Imperius curse and it might interest you to know that I don't need my wand to use magic."
Forrest was blasted away by an unseen force. Travis staggered to his feet and picked up his wand. He turned to face Forrest and pointed the wand at his heart. Forrest took several steps away until his back hit the wall, "You don't have to do this, Travis. Any of this. You can help my sister and I get away. Once Voldemort gets his way, do you really think he'll let you go? Once he knows how, he'll try and kill you too."
"Let him try." Said Travis as his eyes flashed. Then he smiled, "Stupefy."
Forrest was instantly knocked out and fell into the ground. Travis went to sit on the pink feathery couch and waited for the run to reach him.
THIRD FLOOR CORRIDOR
Harry crept down the dark hallway with the rest of the gang behind him. They found the only door on the floor that had a light shining under it. Hermione put her hand on Harry's shoulder, "What if this is a trap?
What if they left this light on to trick us?"
Amanda snuck passed them, "So what if it is. We have no other plan, we have to go through with this."
She pulled out her wand and twisted the door handle, pushing it open slightly. Harry pulled her back and blasted the door open. Everything in the room was a hot pink color. A fire blazed in the fireplace on the
far side of the room. Amanda rushed in, "You guys, Hermione was right. There's no one in here."
"Didn't I teach you anything, Amanda? You should know that sometimes your eyes can deceive you."
Amanda's head snapped up, her eyes blazing, "Come out, coward!"
"I'm standing right in front of you."
Amanda flicked her wrist. The disillusion charm that Travis had cast, came down. Travis stood across the room leaning against the fire place smiling. Forrest was bound and gagged, sitting on one of the chairs.
Harry and Ron entered the room, their wands pointed at Travis. Hermione rushed in and ran to Forrest. She was trying to untie the ropes when Travis grabbed her arm, "I can't allow you to untie him. I won't let you guys take him and I definitely won't allow Amanda to get away."
Harry stepped forward, his eyes pleading, "Travis, let her go. You don't have to do this. Please, just let them go and come with us."
Travis tilted his head to one side as he studied Harry. He let go of Hermione and turned to Forrest, "Would you like to be set free?"
Forrest nodded. Travis smiled, "All right then." He took the gag off of Forrest, "You can leave, but Amanda can't. I can't let the both of you go."
Forrest looked up at him, "Travis, you can let the both of us go. What's the big deal? You and I both know that Voldemort can't do anything to you."
"It's either you or her. Choose."
Hermione's eyes were glistening with tears, "Why are you doing this?"
"I have to stay on Voldemort's side until I get what I want. Voldemort is keeping me from it, if I betray him now, I may never get another chance." Replied Travis.
Amanda rushed forward, "You won't be able to stop us!"
She said something in a language unknown to any of them. The spell hit Travis in the chest and he froze. He glared at Amanda as she grinned at him, "Shouldn't have taught me that one."
She rushed to Forrest and untied him, "Hurry, we have to get out of here now."
Forrest got up and pulled out his wand. He aimed it at Travis. Harry yelled and grabbed Forrest by the arm, "You can't! He's not an evil person, Forrest! He can't do anything now anyways. We have to get out of here now!"
Forrest glared at Travis with disgust as he turned away. Then he and Harry followed everyone out the door.
FIRST FLOOR
There were bodies flying everywhere, lights flashing and loud screaming. Kristy and Darcy were each fighting two Death Eaters. Ryan had his hands full dueling Bellatrix Lestrange and Hilary was cursing anybody that she could see. She turned to help Ryan, "Ryan, we can't hold this up much longer. They're way more experienced than us and they know far more stuff."
Ryan grimaced as he ducked a curse, "I know, I hope they're at least up there now. If they fail this whole thing will have been for nothing."
Hilary blocked a curse aimed at Ryan, "I know. Darcy and Kristy have their hands full over there and Shyanne isn't going to last much longer. She's already taking on the majority of them"
"Yeah, maybe you or I should go and help her." Said Ryan.
"Yeah, I'll go." Said Hilary.
She leapt over a chair and rushed to help Shyanne. She ran up beside her and began to curse the Death Eaters. They were good, either deflecting her curse simply not getting effected by them. Shyanne's eyes were glistening, "What's the matter, Hilary? Is this too hard for you?"
Hilary's eyes flashed as she turned towards the stairs, "You wi-"
She was cut short as she saw Voldemort entering the fray. His eyes locked onto hers. She couldn't hear it, but she saw him mouth a curse. Hilary couldn't move, couldn't breathe. Knowing she was seconds away from death. A red flash of light erupted from his wand. Time seemed to stop. She could hear her friends screaming as the curse rushed upon her. Suddenly she felt herself being lifted off of her feet.
Shyanne had launched herself at Hilary, knocking her out of the way. The curse hit her in the back and blood spurted out of the slashes that had appeared. She landed on the floor with a loud thud. Hilary grabbed her and flipped her over. Shyanne's eyes were glazing over. Her brown eyes found Hilarys blue ones, "I knew I'd have to save you."
Then she died.
Ryan came up beside them and tried pulling Hilary away, "Hilary, we have to get out of here now!"
Hilary wouldn't let Shyanne go, "We can't leave her here in this house!"
Ryan grabbed her arm, "Hilary, Shyanne died to save you! Staying here is certain death. She wouldn't want that. We have to go! The others are coming down the stairs!"
Hilary looked down at Shyanne, with tears in her eyes, "Thank-you."
Hilary pushed herself up and ran to meet her friends at the door. Voldemort was trying to reach them, but his own Death Eaters were getting in his way treying to flee the curses the teens were throwing at them.
They raced out onto the front lawn as fast as they could. Amanda yelled at them to latch on to her and then she spun around and they all vanished.
