Chapter 12
"Are you ready for this, girls?" Blossom assured while hovering above the town. Her sisters floated beside her, ready for battle, though a little tense.
Their determined partners, the Rowdyruff Boys, flew in beside them, anxious for action, and ready to fight.
"Always ready," Buttercup responded, while bravely preparing for battle. Butch smirked at her reply without moving his position.
Everyone was very aware of Butch's fortitude, though Buttercup could easily be an equal match.
"I'm ready," Bubbles answered quietly, not as eager for an attack as the others. Bubbles had very unusual mixed emotions about the fight. She wanted more than anything to be rid of those dreadful Rowdypunk Boys, but at the same time, defeating the villains meant no more meetings with the boys.
Blossom didn't take time to worry about Bubbles hesitant attitude. Instead, she asked the same questions to her associates, and prepared the group for their confrontation.
The Rowdypunk Boys had caused more damage in the city than anyone had ever expected. Chaos was present everywhere you turned, and that had to change. The three rogues pounded through the city immediately, wrecking property aimlessly as they went, and headed unexpectedly towards their new challengers.
"Stand you're ground," Brick ordered when he noticed Boomer becoming uneasy. "Don't let them intimidate you."
Suddenly, the Rowdypunk Boys burst through the open, zooming right for the six children, until they spotted their challengers, and paused immediately before hitting them.
"Well what d'yah know," Blade mocked, as he caught sight of the siblings. "The Powderpuff Girls and the Rowdyrump Boys working together.
"You don't see that everyday," Bash continued.
"We're giving you one last chance," Brick began, after the enemies finished their childish comments. "Back down or back out."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Blade demanded, while lowering to the ground with his brothers beside him.
"You can either come quietly, and surrender," Blossom retorted. "Or you can try your chances at beating our group."
"Hmmm, that's a hard one, isn't it guys?" Blade determined sarcastically.
"Oh yeah," Bruise agreed. "I can't decide what I want to do, now."
"How about…neither!" Blade spat, harshly emphasizing his last word.
"You're gonna be so dead when we're done with you, you're gonna wish you were never born!" Boomer threatened.
"I'd like to see you try," Bruise challenged thoughtlessly.
"Fine," Blossom concluded. "But you leave us with no choice. Remember guys," the red-head whispered while turning to her team. "Two of us against one. Bubbles, Boomer: you two try to irritate Bash. Buttercup, Butch, you take care of Bruise. Brick and I will handle Blade. You know the plan. Let's go!"
Immediately, Bubbles flashed off towards Bash, with Boomer zooming behind her. She had the plan memorized perfectly, and nothing would please her greater than to see this particular Rowdypunk Boy get what was coming to him.
"Hey, Bash!" Bubbles called, as she bulleted past him. "What's up?"
"Bash!" Boomer continued. "Nice hair. I bet you could get a great acting job with Disney…as a magic mop!"
"I like the color of your shirt," Bubbles joshed. "It's the same color as the toilet bowl cleaner at my house."
Bash flipped his hair agitatedly, but didn't bother to move from his spot. It was almost as if Bash knew the confidence level of his agitators, but refused to attack until it wore off.
"Hmmmm," Bubbles thought as she watched his reaction.
"Anything?" Boomer asked while whishing past her.
"Nope. I think we need to move on to plan B!"
Bubbles lowered herself to Bash's face, and flung a handful of dirt at his eyes, that she gathered in her pocket.
"Poof!" she giggled innocently.
"Augh!' Bash flinched, while rubbing his face. "What's your problem?"
"You have to catch us to find out!" Bubbles answered, and immediately, she and Boomer headed off towards the city. Bash, distracted by his attackers' sudden display, forgot his position and jumped into the air after the two opponents.
"Bash!" Blade yelled. "Get back here! We're not…" Blade remembered his own plan, and went back to standing in place callously.
"Wait a minute!" Blossom murmured while holding Brick back to her side. "I think I know Blade's weakness!"
"What?" Brick ordered edgily.
"He's a control freak! He never reacted like that before, until just now, when Bash flew off."
"Well then," Brick responded with a smirk. "I guess we know exactly how to handle this." Brick dived down into the action next to Blade's side, and began to taunt.
"Hey Blade," he started. "Nice leadership skills right there. Bash sure has your respect."
Blade didn't hesitate. His location was set; slumping against the wall with his hands wedged in his pockets, refusing to be persuaded by his adversary.
"Yeah Blade," Blossom joined in. "I've never seen a person so attentive to his leader. You must know exactly what you're doing."
As Brick and Blossom manipulated their similar, Buttercup and Butch approached the final Rowdypunk boy. Bruise glanced up at the rivals with daunting violence before placing himself in the care-free position.
Buttercup shook her head with disbelief, not buying the boy's act for a second!
"Come on," she nodded to her partner. "This shouldn't be too hard."
In less than a second, the young girl and boy were upon him, hovering around his head trying to think of a way to entice him away to the trap.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Butch asked with a mischievous grin sneaking across his mouth.
"Oh yeah," Buttercup guaranteed.
"Junk yard fight!" they yelled in harmony. Buttercup and Butch looked up at each other, bewilderment written in their eyes.
"Wow," Butch answered merely. "You really were thinking what I was thinking. Hey, check this out!" Butch instantly flew off, and returned with a box of glass fastened in his arms.
"The goal of the game? Make as much noise as possible. Hey Buttercup! I bet you can't beat this!"
Instantly, the Rowdyruff Boy chased after his counterpart with the box loosely held in his hands.
"Hey," she giggled. "Watch it!"
"Oh look," Butch teased with a monotone voice. "A person who could easily get hurt if I dropped this box above their head."
Without hesitation, Butch let the box slip from his hands, and hit the ground while it shattered into several bits of transparent fragments.
"Eh," Bruise reacted while holding his hands around his ears.
"There's no way you can stop me," Buttercup confronted, while returning into the area with a large car balancing above her head.
"Whoa," Butch gasped. "That's impressive…but I've seen better."
"Oh yeah?" Buttercup dared after throwing the car next to Bruise's feet. The poor villain dropped to his knees helplessly once the car crashed onto its side.
"Yup! Nothing beats realistic war noises!" Butch exited the scene once again, but returned with a machine gun situated on his shoulder.
"How'd you get that?" Buttercup heckled with awe.
"I know people. Prepare to be silenced!"
Butch shot the weapon several times by Bruise's feet, trying to falsely aim his shot at Buttercup who missed the bullet every time. Unfortunately, Buttercup blocked the gun as much as she could from the rest of the city, who coward on the ground panic stricken.
"Butch! Watch out for the citizens," Buttercup reminded.
"Who cares about the citizens?"
"I do!"
"Oh yeah," Butch remembered, after dropping the gun from his grasp.
"But I can always scream you know," Buttercup continued.
"Scream? What's that gonna do? Break a wine glass?" Butch ridiculed.
"Oh, that's only the beginning." Suddenly, Buttercup let out her sonic scream, which echoed throughout the city, causing waves of energy to break the windows around her, and all throughout the city.
Bruise muttered with pain, before finally, jumping to his feet, and taking after Buttercup ferociously.
"I'm gonna kill you!"
"Catch me if you can, sucker!" Buttercup egged while soaring away. Butch took off after her, practically begging Bruise to chase after them, which he did.
Blade looked up at his last brother furiously, about to call him back, until he noticed Blossom and Brick eyeing him carefully.
"Wow Blade," Brick persisted. "I'm impressed."
"Yeah," Blossom concurred. "You think that every follower would have at least a little bit of rebellion. Especially for siblings, but not the Rowdypunk Boys. Such loyalty. I don't know how you do it, Blade."
"Shut up!" Blade finally exclaimed. Without warning, the eldest Rowdypunk boy instantly took off after his foes, with unknown speed.
Blossom and Brick raced away towards the desired area, feeling completely at ease with their work, and successful in their task. The journey didn't take that long, and as soon as Brick and Blossom approached their destination, everyone was awaiting them.
The trap they had devised was set up in the junkyard, away from any civilization. The last thing anyone wanted was for the citizens of Townsville to be caught in their deadly trap, or at least supposedly deadly.
Bubbles and Boomer heedlessly fought Bash, while Butch and Buttercup attacked Bruise endlessly. Brick and Blossom glanced at each other knowingly, and gave the signal for everyone to head towards the middle of the junk yard.
Bubbles turned to her fighting partner, and nodded for him to fly up to the trap, while she led Bash over to the center of the yard. Buttercup did the same, and as soon as the Rowdypunk Boys had the rivals surrounded, Butch and Boomer activated their trap, which opened a large door.
"Now!" Butch cried. Immediately, the four children darted up into the air, where the Rowdypunk Boys followed them. But as they pursued their enemies blindly, several broken washing machines poured out of the trap, and hit the boys until it buried them into a violent heap of metal.
All six of the children met at the edge of the avalanche, watching in horror and confusion as the large machines trampled the boys sadistically.
"Butch!" Buttercup cried. "I thought I told you to fill the trap with rocks or something. Not washing machines!"
"Sorry," Butch shrugged. "This is all I could find."
"Where do you find more washing machines than you do rocks?"
"This is kind of…vulgar," Blossom stammered. "Are you sure we didn't go a little too far?"
"Hey," Butch defended. "They were asking for it."
"Well, who would have thought that the Rowdypunk Boys would be defeated by a bunch of washing machines?" Brick chuckled.
"Are they dead?" Boomer questioned carelessly.
Once the avalanche finished its devastation, the Powerpuff Girls and the Rowdyruff Boys lingered over the mess suspiciously. None of the battering contraptions changed arrangement, but the silence was so quiet, Bubbles began to worry.
Suddenly, a huge eruption exploded in the middle of the washing machine hill. Large chunks of metal flung in every direction, while the three boys and girls covered their faces with precaution and fear.
"You think that's gonna stop us?" Blade shrieked as his brothers floated by his side. "Well then you're all stupider than we thought. Bash, Bruise, let's get 'em."
The siblings flinched in their spots, waiting in dread for an attack, but nothing happened. Bubbles lifted her hands away from her face to peer curiously at the boys, but none of them even moved.
"Eh-hem," Blade growled irritably, while glaring at Bash and Bruise. "I said attack!"
"Why should we listen to you," Bruise questioned with his self motivation draining slowly.
"What?" Blade gawked with shock and fury edging in his voice. "You think this is the time to rebel, Bruise? Well you better think again."
"Why should I attack? That's your plan, and your plan just got us buried in a pile of washing machines."
"The only reason my plan didn't work is because you two idiots went off chasing those losers. Don't look at me and say my plan didn't work!" Blade ordered audaciously.
"You're the one who followed us to the trap, weakling," Bash commented brazenly.
"Oh, well at least I don't go ballistic because I got a little sand in my eye," Blade shouted.
Bash glared heatedly at his leader, and prepared for an attack. "You wanna see how ballistic I can get?"
"Go for it, blondie."
"Remember guys," Blossom advised to her group, once the Rowdypunk Boys had began their brawl. "A house divided against itself cannot stand."
"Amen, sister," Brick agreed. "Now let's finish these freaks off!"
Before anybody could do anything, a large cloud of pink smoke spiraled above the Rowdypunk Boys, and ended with Him resting crossly in the middle of the cloud.
"Well, well, well," Him began calmly, trying to restrain his anger. "You give them an inch, and they walk all over you. So you boys think you can do it all yourselves, hmmm?" Him broke out into a voice of harsh rage.
"I gave you a chance to finish of the girls, and all you could do was give time to destroy you from within! Well, I have a place for failures like you."
Suddenly, Him scooped up his powerful creations, now defeated from their self rebellion, and pulled them hastily into the cloud of pink smoke while cackling wildly on the way.
"Ta ta for now, girls. Don't get too excited. I'll be back, and so will the boys. Ahahaha!"
The smoke immediately dissolved into a wisp of pink mist, and the whole area went silent.
"Ooooook…." Blossom slurred.
"That was officially the weirdest thing I've ever seen," Buttercup finished.
"Ehh, I've seen weirder," Brick commented, while starring at the smoke.
"Yeah, me too," Boomer agreed.
"Well, I guess that means we won't be hearing from those boys in a while," Blossom smiled.
"So, the plan was successful!" Bubbles cheered. "Good job, guys!
