"Fear the shadows!" a specter screeched before launching themselves off a pillar.
Naruto cursed before dodging with a jump to the left, the impact from the landing sent out a small shockwave that made Naruto stumble as his feet touched ground. He dodged again when another specter landed near him again, dodging an impalement from his side. He rammed the pole of his battle axe into the gut of one specter, giving him some breathing room and quickly swung the blade in a wide arc, cleaving the other through the chest area leaving it in two pieces. The specter gave a pained screech which sounded like metal grinding against metal.
"Gaaaaaaah! Not again!" the specter screeched before vanishing into a cloud of dark mist.
"Death from above!" a female specter voiced.
This time Naruto blocked the incoming strike with his weapon. The loud clang made Naruto grimace lightly but he immediately dropped on his bottom and rolled backwards, the momentum sent the attacker behind him as a result earning a furious screech. Rolling back up Naruto swung his axe in an overhead cleave at an incoming attacker. Naruto took note that the blade of the axe took on a dark red hue as it gained momentum.
*VVvvvvvvvv! *BAM!
Naruto grinned lightly as his weapon sent out an arc of energy which crashed explosively into an incoming specter, sending it flying into a building. The familiar sounds of flapping and caws however dropped Naruto's grin. Performing a high jump, Naruto dodged an incoming impalement from behind. While in the air he swung his axe, catching the living hunter by the shoulder. However as the blade of the axe connected with the living hunter, a sudden bluish glow enveloped the hunter and some unseen force repelled the blade away. This caught Naruto off guard before he felt a fist impact into his stomach, leaving him breathless and clenching his jaws in pain as he glared at the hunter confused.
"Hn. Nice try." the hunter growled out before vanishing in a murder of crows and ravens.
*Screech!
"Naruto!" Chiyo's voice shouted.
"Shit!" Naruto cursed.
His arm glowed blue for a moment before 'he' jerked it backwards, there was a loud explosion of some sort, followed by a howl of pain. Turning around, Naruto spotted his attacker who was stunned for the moment, used this chance to cleave the specter in two.
"Aaaaaaaaaaugh!" the specter screeched in agony before bursting to dark wisps that vanished throw a portal that opening under it.
"To defeat two of our siblings. Well done initiate." The voice of the living Hunter echoed.
*Screech!
Looking, Naruto spotted the one he knocked into the building earlier breaking out from its confines. Its eyes blazing with fury as it hissed at him. Naruto spotted more runes forming on nearby walls and on the ground, more screaming specters arose from them, all glaring balefully at the human.
"But we are an army of many." The Hunter spoke.
Snorting slightly, Naruto placed his fingers in a T.
"Taju Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" Naruto said as twenty clones formed around him.
*Screech! *Howl!
"Go get them!" Naruto barked an order.
His clones nodded as they began to engage the newly formed hunters. Naruto immediately began to look around for the living one as he held his weapon at the ready.
"Oi!" Akako shouted.
His free arm took on a bright red glow before a familiar gauntlet formed; 'he' then swung it around, there was a clang of metal against metal and the sound of a loud buzz. The gauntlet then exploded in a bright explosion, causing his attacker to scream in pain and stagger away. Naruto quickly followed up with a powerful punch to the gut before time stopped as the gauntlet charged up and blasted the specter away. The specter landed with a crunch of metal and crack of bones before being lit a flame as it went back to its world.
"Thanks Akako." Naruto said.
"Look out!" Chiyo shouted in his mind.
Naruto swung his axe around only for a hand to tightly grasp the handle of the weapon and earned a boot to the chest. Naruto grunted from the blow as he hit the ground, mud covering his cloak. He then glared at the hunter who held his weapon, starring at it curiously before snorting as it returned to its aged state. The hunter simply clenched his hand before an audible snap of metal echoed through the ruins before two pieces fell into the mud, another loud crunch and snap of metal followed by a harsh stomp on the axe's head.
*Screech! *Screech!
Titling its head in confusion, the Hunter starred at the specters. Naruto did the same as well and narrowed his eyes, scowling as he noted he was alone and only a few of the newly summoned hunters were absent while the rest held dents in their armor or gash marks. All of the specters were simply watching the two, their growls and hisses filled the air. Theirs eyes a silvery color, and a cooing hum perverted the air. The Hunter barked something but they did not move, then the Hunter only growled. There was a hiss of seductiveness that seemed to make the air more ominous yet soothing before silence; the Hunter went still before growling in annoyance. It then turned its face to Naruto, its hollow blank eyes glowing more menacingly. It then clanged its two arm blades together and scrapping them against one another to sharpen them.
"Just you. And me." The Hunter said with venom in its voice.
The hunter then burst into a murder of crows, making Naruto on guard. However, Naruto felt an odd feeling of dizziness as he was trying to look for his opponent.
"All…goes black…" the voice of the hunter whispered harshly.
Naruto then shook his head, removing the dizziness however Naruto took note that the whole world was nothing more but a black void all around him. Remembering his current situation, Naruto immediately went on guard.
"Crap. How do I get out of this one? Got any ideas girls?" Naruto asked them mentally.
There was only silence.
"Girls? Akako-chan? Chiyo-chan?" Naruto said uncertain. "Kurama?"
Silence again.
"Sochi…" a whisper echoed through the void.
Naruto froze as he looked around.
"My baby boy…" the voice said again. "I love you so much…"
He then felt a hand touch him shoulder, a soft, warm, comforting touch. Slowly, he peered down to gaze at the appendage to see a glowing hand latched onto his shoulder. Before he could do much else, he heard a cold whisper.
"Too easy." The cold voice of the hunter snarled.
"NARUTO!" both the voices of Chiyo and Akako shouted though slightly muffled.
Naruto heard a cling of metal before unimaginable pain and a river of blood erupted from his chest. Naruto cried out in immense pain as he fell to his knees. The world quickly returned to normal as the ruins returned and the darkness vanished. Before Naruto could even retaliate or even look to his new wound, he was lifted up and felt another blow strike his head and another strike his gut. This was followed by another strike to the chest, leg, his left cheek, each blow became more potent and powerful. It all stopped before Naruto earned a boot to the chest again, sending him crashing into more debris. There were audible snaps of bones breaking as he hit the debris.
"Tch! Kuso…" Naruto groaned out in pain as he tried to move.
However, thinking back to that trick earlier that the hunter used made his blood boil. A desire…that he sought for as a child. To have a loving mother, say those words to him. Jealousy, that those other children back in Konoha had their parents say those words. He had nothing, while they had theirs. And now…it was being used against him. Something in Naruto's mind snapped, within his mind Akako and Chiyo became suddenly still before they both cried out in immense pain but it was however drowned out. Kurama was surprised slightly before he felt his own rage from his being, began to channel into Naruto's own. Naruto's hands clenched tightly as his eyes took on Kurama's own, his whiskers turning darker, and his canine teeth becoming more pronounced. Naruto then growled in an animalistic like manner before his head slowly rose to glare hatefully at the hunter who sat perched on a pillar, glaring balefully back. Red sickly looking chakra then surrounded Naruto which was soon joined by black; the ground began to shake, droplets of rain that were pelting Naruto's form were now sizzling before they even touched him, minor rocks and debris began to float from the power Naruto was emitting. More sickening snaps were audible as bones within Naruto's body readjusted and healed at an insane rate.
"I'll kill you…" Naruto growled out.
"Hn. We'll see…" The hunter snorted dismissively.
One moment, Naruto was there on the ground. The next, he was directly in front of his opponent. Naruto gave a animalistic roar as a sickly dark red blade formed on his arm as he sent it towards the hunters heart.
*CLANG! NNnnnnnnnnnnnngggg!
Two blades clashed in union; one a dark sickly red with blade tendrils wrapped around it, the other a midnight black with red runes engraved into it. Naruto growled as he and his enemy were now locked in a power struggle. Their blades scrapping and screech against each other loudly as they pushed against one another. However the avians much larger stature gave it a larger advantage in the struggle as Naruto was glaring at his much taller opponent while the other glared at its shorter one.
"Strong, but clouded with hate." The hunter lectured which only served to make Naruto more angry.
The struggle ended as the hunter gave a powerful push making the blades clatter loudly as they broke contact; this made the enraged Naruto stumble backwards before he regained his footing. The hunter then burst into a murder of crows and ravens it gain some breathing space from the raging jinchūriki.
"Dead silence…" the hunter whispered.
*CRASH!
Naruto howled as he felt something sharp stab through his back before being pulled out, the wound sizzling as it was healed. Naruto roared as more red chakra burst from his body, the hunter hissed in pain from the burst of corrosive energy. A bluish glow enveloped the hunter before breaking like glass. Seeing that its main means of defense was gone the hunter began to put some distance away from the jinchūriki. Naruto however followed the hunter in pursuit, one arm taking on a gauntleted form which began to fire a barrage of fireballs after the hunter.
*Fwoosh! *BAM!
"Gargh!" the hunter hissed as a fireball smashed into his back, making him stumble.
*Fwoosh! *BAM!
"Aaarrgh! Gah! Agh!" the second one that smashed into him set him aflame.
Naruto gave a wild roar before his other free arm took one a red glow before it was covered with chaotic red chakra. He then swung that same arm which sent a large clawed hand after his target. Not expecting that, the hunter gave a surprised grunt as red burning chakra clamped around it before being pulled back towards Naruto. Before the hunter could even attempt to retaliate; a powerful slash cut right through its armor, sending blood across the ground and a powerful chakra reinforced punch was smashed into the side of its face. There was a following explosion as the hunter was sent flying through an entire building complex. Looking back to Naruto, his arm was outstretched in a punching motion, it was covered by a red familiar metallic gauntlet yet this one had a sicklier and chaotic look compared to the regular one. Growling again, Naruto held the gauntleted hand to his side before a ball of red and white energy began to form. There was a crash from the other side and a battered looking hunter broke from its confines from the debris. It gave a pained breathed as it lifted its head to glare at Naruto; its mask crackled with electricity and hissed with steam, crack marks were visible on it as it glared at the human. One of its eye sockets was shattered, revealing an organic hateful orange eye. Finishing charging up, Naruto aimed his gauntlet at the direction of his opponent before firing off a single yet lightning fast blazing orb.
"Tch! Damn!" the hunter cursed as he lifted himself out from the debris.
The hunter then shouted something alien before a large black shield formed just as the incoming ball of blaze connected.
*KA-BOOM!
A bright blinding light shined brightly from the point of impact. A shockwave followed, cracking the ground and sending light debris flying into the air. The air grew hot as the heat generated from the large powerful explosion swept over the ruins. Naruto however stood unfazed as he gazed into the destruction. When the light died, only smoke clouded the area. It wasn't long till a breeze washed over the area and pushed away the smoke and dust. Fires burned, debris scattered and a large crater like impact near where the hunter once stood was present. There were no signs of the hunter however. Only silence greeted the jinchūriki who growled in a animal like manner as his eyes began to look about.

*Rumble!
Confused yet on guard, Naruto looked around as the entire area began to quake. Then loud cracking could be heard as the area began to shake even more. Suddenly it stopped…
*CRASH!
*CRRAAAAAUGH!
A giant shadowy form in a shape of a wyvern burst from the earth, the surprised Naruto didn't have much time until the powerful jaws clamped around him and began to crush the life out of him. The wyvern the smashed Naruto's body into the ground before dragging it across the earth before tossing him into the air. The wyvern the bursted into a murder of crows before forming the familiar shape of the hunter just as it launched itself towards Naruto who was in the air. The blade on its arm began to glow a bright blue as it readied to attack Naruto. Once within range, the hunter struck.
*SLING!
Naruto's body froze before a large slash wound appeared a blood began to pour out from the new wound. Naruto only coughed once before his body fell and hit the ground. The red chakra sizzling as it left within seconds but long enough to close up the new wound. Naruto groaned in pain as it tried to move only to gasp as his body refused to move. Darkness was taking his vision as he tried to move, Naruto coughed again as he tried to stay conscious. The last thing he saw were metallic boots clicking loudly as they came closer and closer before passing out.
"Hn…" the hunter grunted.
Looking down at the now passed out child; the hunter gave a pained groan as it clenched its shoulder with an arm. Its mask completely broken; revealing an avian yet reptilian like facial structure, its sharp omnivorous teeth were bared as it clenched its jaws in pain. Both of its mismatched eyes were glaring down at the child; one eye was an organic orange with a slit pupil, the other yellow with a mechanical look. Its black cloak was ragged and ripped, and its black armor was riddled with cracks and crackling slightly with electricity.
"That hurt quite a bit…" the hunter growled out in pain as it coughed up blood.
It then fell to one knee and used an arm to support itself as it began to cough up more blood and breathe heavily. It then began to whisper something before familiar screeches from dead specters emerged from the ground. A familiar black eagle flew and landed on its master's shoulder, cawing while doing so. While taking a breather, the hunter noticed something out of ordinary on the boy. A hostler for a gun. Raising an eyebrow, the hunter removed the holster and took out the weapon. It was a basic firearm, the pistol. Wondering how the boy found this, the hunter decided to hold it for now and ask the boy when he woke up. The living hunter looked at the specters before giving them a simple command.
"Take us back to the base." The hunter said.
The specters nodded before surrounding the duo, a black portal opened under them all before darkness enveloped them.
0000 Elsewhere – Wave – Taki and Kira
Taki hummed to herself as she looked around the town. Though it would take a while, Wave was now healing ever since the news of Gato's death spread to everyone. Hope returned to people's eyes as fresh and needed supplies were now being brought in via trading, and the bridge would now be expected to be finished on a much more reliable date now without the threat of Gato. Taki couldn't help but smile faintly as she thought of Naruto, she didn't think he would be able to do it, but he did.
"What are you thinking about onee-chan?" Kira's little voice squeaked.
Turning, Taki smiled before rubbing her sisters head, making her pout in annoyance as she swatted her hand away.
"Just Naruto imouto-chan…" Taki replied. "I wonder how he's doing now?"
"Will he come back?" Kira asked.
"I…I don't know…" Taki answered reluctantly. "But…but I'm sure he'll come back."
Nodding at her older sister's answer, they both looked back at the town. However, Taki narrowed her eyes as she saw shinobi patrolling about. She saw a familiar leaf shaped symbol on their headbands, signaling their allegiance to Konoha. They also appeared to be looking for someone due to them asking around.
"Onee-chan? Who are they?" Kira asked.
"I don't know." Taki replied.
One of the Konoha shinobi spotted the duo, Kira hid behind her sister as one of them began to walk towards them. Taki however, was on guard as the ninja came ever closer to them.
"Excuse me. Have you seen a boy about your age around here? He has blonde colored hair and whisker marks on his cheeks." The ninja asked.
"No sir. I would've noticed someone like that here if there was a someone like that." Taki replied after a second or two.
"Ah. I see." The ninja sighed.
"Why are you asking us?" Kira decided to ask.
"Ah well, a boy had vanished a few days ago from our village and we're currently looking for him. Anyways I gotta get going." The ninja replied quickly before walking off.
After the ninja has walked off, Taki and Kira only looked at each other before thinking about one particular blonde.
0000 Elsewhere – Akia
*Crackle! *Crack!
The familiar form of Akia huffed silently to herself as she stoked the camp fire, her yacht anchored nearby. A fish on a stick cooked and sizzled as it hung over the fire. As she was waiting for her meal to cook, she began to have thoughts on a familiar blonde boy.
"Naruto-kun? Where are you?" she wondered mentally.
It had been days since his disappearance from the storm and she searched every island nearby that he could've landed on but none of them had any signs of human activities. Though she dreaded the thought of him being dead, something told her that he wasn't. Call it a gut feeling. She turned her eyes to cast it on the much larger landform not too far away from the island she was camping out on. As she was looking at her next destination she had one thought.
"I hope you're safe Naruto-kun…"
0000 Skip – Unknown - Naruto
All that he could see was darkness, the very same darkness he always saw within his mind. He looked around confused as he tried to call for Akako and Chiyo.
"Girls? Akako-chan? Chiyo-chan?" Naruto's voice echoed.
Only silence greeted him, worried, Naruto began to walk, his footsteps echoing. As he walked, he began to experience a sudden pain in his head. He grunted as he held his head and rubbed his eyes. The pain suddenly stopped before a hum perverted the air and the temperature dropped immensely. Naruto shivered from the sudden cold as he looked around cautiously, feeling something watching him. Nervous, he backed up only to bump into something soft and warm. There was a slight seductive giggle from whatever he bumped into as his breathe hitched and quickly turned around. His eyes came to see a woman, her skin held a pale tone to it, her long black colored hair gleamed despite the darkness, her glowing grey eyes held a mischievous seductiveness in them and her heart shaped face held a warm smile on it; she was wearing dark robes which hugged her very voluptuous form. He couldn't help but stare and when she chuckled he gulped nervously, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Well met my little agent…" she spoke, her voice was melodious to his ears.
"Kneel!" a dark familiar voice hissed angrily.
Suddenly, an unknown force overtook Naruto's legs and forced one leg onto the ground. He then was hunched forward gasping in pain as a burning sensation ran through his chest. However the woman did not seem to appreciate this much.
"Know your place initiate…" Reaper's voice hissed with venom.
"Kayden…be a good boy…" she said again in her melodious tone.
There was another hiss before the unknown force vanished, letting Naruto take a few steady breathes as he dared not look up at the woman. There were a few footsteps before Naruto saw robes at the top of his vision. Looking slightly up, he saw the woman kneel down closer to his level. He then immediately set his eyes elsewhere as his senses were screaming 'Danger!'. Naruto then felt two soft yet cold hands cup his cheeks and slowly lifted his head. His nervous blue eyes gazed into grey slitted ones.
"I've been wanting to meet you little one…" the woman whispered.
Her voice sent a chilling shiver down Naruto's spine and made his head dizzy. One of her fingers traced a whisker mark on his cheek making him flinch slightly as if burned, she frowned slightly before carefully tracing it again softly.
"Do you know who I am?" she asked in a soft tone.
Naruto winced as an ache formed in his head. He began to hear slight whispers of words and titles as he tried to focus on what they were saying.
"Shadow mistress…"
"Goddess of Twilight…"
"Queen of Limbo…"
"Sister to Kami and Yami…"
"The Shinigami…"
Naruto's blood ran cold especially at the last one; his body froze tensely as who he was kneeling in front of. His limbs and body began to shake with fear as he intently tried to gaze away but her eyes held his own. She then gave an amused chuckle as he tried to move but found his limbs unresponsive to his command.
"Judging from your expression…you do…" she said before inching closer.
"Shinigami-sama…" Naruto whispered out, mostly in fear.
"Sssshhhh…do not fear me child…" she hushed him.
"My little agent? I do hope…you will use my gift that my children had given to you. Use it well…and grow strong with it. Do not fear the shadows…for we are always by your side. In your greatest time of need…call to us…and we shall answer."
Upon finishing that, there was a glow within her mouth before she shoved her lips into Naruto's own. Shocked, Naruto could only stare in disbelief as he felt something cold get shoved down his throat, making him gag slightly as a result. When whatever was shoved down his throat was gone he felt her tongue fondle with his own and explore his mouth before retreating back into its owner. A line of spit formed upon separating and the mistress only chuckled at Naruto's stupefied expression.
"Hmhmhmhmhm…" she chuckled. "Wake up now little one, your shadow sibling awaits you. Ask for him to help your power flourish, ask him to aid you. Now go little one…your journey has just begun."
Naruto blinked once before burning pain took over his chest and stomach making him cringe in pain and within seconds he vanished. When he was gone, the woman slowly turned around to look at a quaking form of Chiyo who was looking at her with pure fear on her face.
"Well, well, well…look what we have here…" the woman said in a chilly tone.
Two red eyes opened in the darkness as they glared at the woman.
"Why hello again…Kurama…" the woman spoke with a smile.
"Shinigami-sama…" both Kyuubi and Chiyo said at the same time.
0000 Scene Change – Real World – Unknown Location
*Gasp! *Cough! *Cough! *Cough!
Coughing as he woke up, Naruto continued to hack away as he rolled over and hung on the side of his bed. With a final cough, he gritted his teeth before falling back down onto the mattress. Upon remembering what happened, he shot up from bed and his eyes darted around.
"Back from the dead are we?" a voice spoke.
Veering his head around, Naruto's vision were sighted on the shadow hunter not too far away from him. It's mismatched eyes were glaring at him making him nervous. With the dim light source, Naruto could make out its overall shape but not its distinct features at the moment. There was a creak of metal before the hunter leaned back before pressing something, this made the light come on brightly and Naruto cringed in pain as he covered his eyes. Once spots were out of his vision, Naruto turned to glare at the hunter before him. Now he could see the hunter's facial features more clearly, holding somewhat true to its avian appearance. It sneered at him, showing sharp omnivorous teeth under its reptilian-like lips.
"Where am I?" Naruto asked cautiously.
"In a room." The hunter replied flatly.
"And where is this room at." Naruto replied in equal flat tone.
"Underground." The hunter responded before leaning back in a lazy manner.
"Where?"
"Somewhere far."
"Like?"
"Far enough."
Naruto's eye twitched in annoyance as he noticed a slight smirk on the avian's lips. He then sighed before falling back on the pillow, wriggling slightly from the extreme comfort it provided.
"Why'd you spare me?" Naruto asked.
"Curiosity." The hunter replied again in a flat tone.
"Oh really now." Naruto said in a sarcastic manner.
"Nope." Was his only answer.

"She talked to me…" Naruto said slowly.
"Did she now?" the hunter replied curiously.
"Yes."
"Hn. Interesting."

"She said…said that…you could help me learn these powers…" Naruto asked, a black colored wisp of wrapped around him arm for reference.
"Perhaps…" the hunter replied, black wisps slowly emitting from its very armor itself.
"But…" it drawled.
"Know that what she asked you to ask of me will not be an easy task."
"When was anything easy?"
"Hn. Well said. As by duty as an Elder Shadow Hunter, I must teach the younger one. We'll see where it goes, from now on though refer to me as Kaizen." The now named Kaizen said gruffly before standing, he walked over to a wall before a bright screen appeared.
*Click! *Beep! *Beep!
*Kkkssssh!
A tray of food slid out from an opening, hot food was placed on top as well as a cup of juice. Walking back, Kaizen placed the tray on Naruto who eagerly sat back up.
"Eat. Then rest for a bit, we'll talk more later." He said quickly before leaving the room.
Naruto eagerly complied as he began to eat his hot meal.
0000 Timeskip – Hours later…
Walking through the corridors of this place was confusing to Naruto.
*Beep! *Beep!
"Nani?" Naruto said to himself before looking up.
What he saw earned his curiosity; the thing was made entirely out of metal from the obvious look of it, its shape was boxy yet it looked like some sort of bird with its wing-like appendages, it head a series of bright dots on it with one at the top being the brightest, it also had some sort of black box behind it which gave off a warm hum. It seem to regard curiously of him as well when he tilted his head, it tilted itself as well.
"I see you've met your first drone eh?" a familiar voice said gruffly.
"A what?" Naruto asked.
"A Security Drone, marvelous works of ingenuity. It watches and keeps this place free of pest and any intruders. I was going to register you earlier when you were unconscious but imagine my surprise when I find you were already registered as military personnel. And I wonder…how a primitive such as you figured out how to do so…hmmmm." The hunter drawled out dangerously.
"Wait. What? Registered?" Naruto asked in confusion.
Here Kaizen only raised a brow…or what Naruto assumed it did as in a fiercer scowl. Digging through a pack on its side it took something out and showed Naruto an small rectangular object attached with a small chain. Looking closer, Naruto noticed his face and name on it as well as other things. His returned to looking at the hunter who held an annoyed scowl on its face.
"This thing here is an ID Card or Holo-tag. It's what grants us entry within these premises so that the drones can identify you as a friendly and not an intruder. Lucky you had one too, saves me the trouble in making you one. Though curious…how did you get one?" he asked.
"T-there was a…place back at Wave. It looked similar to this…but abandoned from the looks of it. I went in there…fiddled around with the stuff and I got this from a circular table." Naruto replied tensely.
Here Kaizen went silent before tapping its helmet in thought. It's eyes wandered aimlessly as its clawed fingers tapped against its helmet.
"Another place you say? Hmmmmm…interesting…interesting…very interesting…" he muttered. "Come. Let us walk."
Naruto had to speed walk slightly after the hunter as its strides were longer and faster than his. They went through a series of halls before coming to a room, and Naruto immediately noted that it had the same layout as the other one back in Wave.
"This is the Command Center, it is where I can monitor the base and control it directly here." Kaizen answered the upcoming question.
Naruto hummed in thought as he looked at a large array of screen showing different areas from each camera. He then looked to a familiar circular table that held a large round holographic object which hovered above the table. Kaizen pressed a few holographic buttons before beeping noises came from the hologram as yellow dots began to appear on it. There was a blink of light before a large bright holographic panel appear as it zoomed in on a familiar landmass.
"That's…that's the Elemental Nations!" Naruto said in slight awe.
"Correct." was his flat reply.
"But…what's the large orb thingy and-"
"The orb thing that you see before you is your world. Or should I correctly say your planet. How I found your Elemental Nation was through use of brilliant ingenuity in the stars called a satellite."
"What's a satellite? And what do you mean planet or world?" Naruto asked curiously.
"To simple it out for your primitive mind, a satellite is an advanced machine that is meant to either transmit information to another machine or gather information from a built in camera that scans the planet and records its surface. It circles around the planet, slowly taking in information of the surface, weather, spying you name it. As for your second question, the world you live on is a giant rock that has an atmosphere that can support life. Most people of your era would believe the world is flat, but in actuality the world is rather round in a way and the satellite is used to prove that fact."
"But how do you get…something like that…wait where is it?"
"The satellite is placed on a large fueled powered rocket machine that goes in only one direction. Upwards, and as it continued to go up it encounters more resistance due to gravity wanting to pull it down. But it eventually escapes gravity it's in free floating space. Another way is to load it up on a spaceship and do the same."
There were a few more clicks and beeps before yellow dots began to appear on the holographic map of the Elemental Nations.
"Now then, away from your questions. I need you to answer mine initiate." Kaizen spoke. "Where is this Wave as you call it? May you point it out?"
Looking at the map with slightly thoughtful look, Naruto hummed as he tried to recall lesson back from Konoha regarding the Elemental Nations. Though faint, Naruto slowly pointed at an island near the Land of Fire at the bottom. Kaizen however hummed with thought as he narrowed his eyes.
"That's odd…the base is not listed…hmmm. Looks like you found an old hidden base then; I better go check it out later then. But that can be done at a later time, follow me initiate."
"Where are we going?" Naruto asked as he followed Kaizen.
"To the training room of the facility, where else initiate?" Kaizen replied as if it was the simplest answer in the world.
"The mistress may believe you are able to become one of us. But I though, I will see to it if you really are worthy of becoming a shadow hunter." Kaizen all but hissed with venom.
"But first before we start doing the Shadow Training however. We will be doing the basics to start off, to let me evaluate your worth."
The two came to a stop as they passed by the last door leading to a huge room. There was a hiss before the door behind the two closed, making Naruto look back before staring around the place. There was a hum in the air before the large room began to rumble loudly. Soon enough, the floor, the wall, and even the ceiling began to move and shift in place. And objects of sorts were materializing from small cube blocks and were being placed randomly around.
"Welcome to the Training Room initiate. This is where I will be testing your worth and skill as you progress. Now then, let us begin with the basics of combat. Are you prepared initiate?" he asked again with a hiss.
Naruto nodded slightly as he awaited to hear from what Kaizen had to say.
"Good. Then let us begin." Kaizen simply spoke.
