A/N: I'M BACK! Okay, I know that I took a long time in updating this and I have a good reason. My big sister died of brain cancer back in February and I couldn't write at all. Every time that I tried my fingers wouldn't move over the keyboard. I really am sorry that I left you guys hanging.

I was watching the first season of Hawaii 5-0 and BAM I got inspiration. I promise that I won't do such a long hiatus without telling you readers first. So I hope that you enjoy this chapter.

The four of them just stood there with wide eyes and they were all in shock for a few minutes. The sound of the footsteps was still going but when they all looked in the room there was nothing there. They all went into the room and sat down on the chairs and couch.

"Okay, that was weird," said Danny. The three of them nodded, agreeing with him.

They all took a deep breath to calm down their nerves. Then they all spread out of what they all found in the passageway. They all took a turn looking at each other's stuff. After a few minutes they would switch and it would keep going until all four of them looked at what the others had found.

"Kono found journals, and videotapes," says Steve, "Danny finds maps and dolls, Chin finds books and collections and I find clothes, photos, and letters. Okay, I think we need to figure out everything that has happened to us from the start and work ourselves forward."

"Okay," Danny said," what is the first thing that happened that was weird?"

Everyone thought hard about what happened when they got to the house. Chin got a smile on his face and said, "that noise Kono and I heard in the woods while you guys were trying to see if it was safe to come in here." Steve wrote that little note on paper.

"What are you doing, Steve?" asked Kono.

"I'm writing down every little thing that has happened when we got to the house."

"Good idea," said Danny, " then we can tell if we are missing anything."

"That's the plan, Danno."

After about ten minutes, they had a list that had everything that happened and this is how it went.

"Okay, I think that we got everything."

"Now what?" asked Danny.

"I have an idea but I don't know how everyone is going to react," Steve said cautiously, "I want us to explore the whole house and grab as much as we can while we try to find out what the heck is haunting this house. We have to solve this mystery to get out of here alive."

Chin, Kono and Danny looked at each other and held a silent conversation with each other and after three minutes they all turned to Steve who looked a bit apprehensive.

"So are we going to do it or what?"

"Let's do it!" all three of them said at the same time.

All four of them stood and split up in twos. One group went upstairs and the other group stayed downstairs. The first group was Steve and Danny. The second was Chin and Kono. Steve and Danny were both cautious when they went upstairs because they hadn't been up there in a while. Steve went up first with Danny close behind. They got to the top of the stairs and paused.

"Okay, where do you want to go first?" asked Danny.

"Um, Let's start in the first hallway and work our way to the third hallway." Steve was nervous because he didn't want Danny to get hurt like he did in his dream and Kono's hallucination.

They both walked slowly to each room pausing only for a few seconds. Both of their nerves were high but with every passing room they both got relaxed. When they got to the last room from the third stairway they both took deep breaths.

"Okay, so there western bedrooms per hallway," said Danny, "so that means that there are thirty rooms in this upstairs part of this house. Do you want to explore the rooms?"

"Yeah, we might as well." Steve said, sighing.

Steve and Danny went to each room and grabbed as much as they could carry and started to go down the stairs. Danny was behind Steve when they were going down the stairs. Something starts to slip through his fingers and it goes down the stairs and just as it stops Steve's foot steps on it and falls down the rest of the stairs while dropping everything that he is carrying. They both land hard on the bottom of the stairs. Chin and Kono came from around the corner to see if their friends were alright. What they saw when they got to their friends was Steve and Danny looking like a pretzel of arms and legs.

Kono and Chin looked at their friends and then looked at each other and they laughed really loud. "How in the world did you guys end up that way?" asked Kono.

They heard some muffled voices before Danny spoke clearly. "I have no idea, but could you guys help us get untangled, please?"

Still chuckling to themselves, they help Steve and Danny untangle themselves. After Steve and Danny are free, they pick up whatever they dropped and brought it into the room they all go to when they want to feel safe. It was the room that they went into when they first arrived.

"Okay, what did you guys find?" asked Kono.

"Well," Steve said, "we found a lot of papers, books, and junk upstairs. What did you find down here?"

"We found dishes, furniture and things from the old days."

"Okay so there is a story that has clues with this house and I am guessing we have to solve it to get out of here without going completely insane."

The other three nodded and all of them started to look through the stuff that the other group found when suddenly they all heard a loud click and a squeaky noise, followed by a blast of warm air. The four of them all stood up and one after another started to go to the door that opened. It was the back door . It was wide open. Danny, who was second in line spoke, "where are we?" Which made goosebumps run down each body like they just ducked into an ice bath.

A/N: okay I know I took a long hiatus from this story. I promise that will never happen again. I just couldn't write because every time that I tried I would freeze up. The sequel to this story will be posted in December and I will be able to tell you about a posting schedule that I want to stick to.

Oh and I really hope that you reviewers of this story will come back and read the second one as well. I need help in finding riddles so if you know some I would greatly appreciate it. Next story is coming soon. The next story is called Forbidden.
