Griffon and Centipoid's fight ended than Ian expected. Jared didn't have an ability card for Centipoid. Ian's Griffon tear Centipoid apart with his fierce claws. Ian won, but something didn't seem right. Jared had a distinct smile over his face like he was happy he lost.
" An amazing victory for Ian. Could this be his chance to come back and beat Jared?"
" Don't count on it," Jared scoffed tossing his unidentified Bakugan in the air. " This time I land on my Gate Card. Bakugan Brawl!"
Jared threw his Bakugan like before. He rolled it like a June Bug moving its own feces in a hole. The Bakugan rolled in a circle through the two points of the Gate Cards. His plan failed and his Bakugan fell on Ian's Gate Card.
" What bad luck for Jared," the commentator said, stating what everyone in the stadium already knew and it was annoying. The magnets in Ian's Bakugan card allowed his Bakugan to stand.
" Don't let this mistake go to your head, Ian," Leo communicated to Ian. " Everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes can help in the most unlikely of ways."
" It's not like I can make an elaborate decision," Ian communicated back. " I only have one Bakugan left."
" What's with the hold up, Ian?" Yumi shouted in the stands. " Throw that ball unless your too much of a chicken."
" She calls me a chicken? When I get back its octopus balls from your Bakugan balls." Yumi looked at Ian with her asymmetrical eyes. Ian sighed then sparked his eyes ready to throw his Bakugan Ball. " Bakugan Brawl!" In the very fast league from all his spare time Ian rolled the Bakugan very fast on Ian's Gate Card. The holographic coliseum showed Ian's Griffon and Jared's Serpenoid.
Serpenoid
340 G
Griffon
550 G
Ian shouted as loud as he could the command for his Gate Card. " Gate Card open!"
Pit Dueller
Griffon still had over two hundred more G-Power than Jared's Serpenoid. Griffon cleaved his claws in the air and his claws went through Serpenoid's hard scales. Griffon ripped the Serpenoid in half. When Serpenoid was defeated another hologram appeared on the ceiling. A holographic image showed Ian and Jared with a gauge showing two balls out of three like a Wii tennis game.
" Both Ian and Jared are just one more point away from winning this match. Are you ready for excitement? Something you would never see in another Bakugan Battle that will make your blood boil, and you will raved?"
" We are not having a normal Bakugan battle?" Ian asked.
" That's right. In this battle there will be no Gate Cards or Ability Cards you can save yourself with."
A giant magnet reached its claws down and took Ian's Bakugan and Jared's as well. The claws went back inside their resting places. Their Bakugan's were replaced with small gadgets the size of Gameboy's with lots of buttons. The screen flashed up and Griffon was in a remote location.
" This battle will have the players controlling their Bakugan in actions similar to those video games they spend four to six hours a day playing on. The damage their Bakugan can do is divided from their G Power by ten. The player who makes their opponents Bakugan reach zero wins. Ian and Jared have to figure this out for themselves."
" This is preposterous!" Yumi shouted in the crowd as she leaned her hand on a poor boy's head. " You cannot control a Bakugan like its some kind of toy. All Bakugan battles have been won from sheer power and getting more points."
" That use to be the case. However, my boss is bored with those rules and decided to make the games more interesting. The more you keep a game fresh and add more ideas the more people will watch it."
Ian nervously pressed buttons on the game controller. He was acting like he was using a typewriter for the very first time. Yumi was embarrassed to look at him; a boy who couldn't even do something as simple as play a video game. Jared the fatso on the other hand who spent hours playing on video games and eating chocolate when he should be sleeping was a surgeon with a controller.
Ian only found out how he could sluggishly move Griffon through the field. Ian wanted to touch another button but he was afraid of what circumstances his button pressing would lead him to. For two minutes Ian pressed on the game controls like someone trying to get their G1. Suddenly a long laser blast went into Griffon's feet and knocked him into the dirt.
" Griffon, run!"
Ian used the only controls he could figure out to move Griffon's character away from Jared's Laserman. Laserman charged his cannon barrels with bright purple light. Laserman fired two laser blasts into Griffon. Griffon swerved in the path avoiding both cannon beams. Ian pressed up and kept tapping on the control stick hoping it would give Griffon a speed boost. He was wrong. Ian moved Griffon behind the biggest rock he could find.
" That's the wrong move, Ian," Leontess said inside Ian's mind.
" Why? I'm safe behind this rock..."
Jared's Laserman fired two more purple laser beams towards Ian's location. The first beam destroyed the rock. The second laser beam went above the rubble and into Griffon. Ian nervously moved his control stick trying to get up. His Bakugan wasn't listening to him. It was over. Ian was going to lose this match and be ridiculed for his defeat. Leontess knew Ian was done, which is why he needed his help. Leontess as a Bakugan rolled out of Ian's pockets and jumped on his controller. Leontess would help Ian win. He jumped on the controls the way he imagined sending an aero kinesis cyclone towards Jared's Laser Man.
