Chapter 12- She's only a little girl

Phil POV

I remember John very well, I have met him a lot over the years, I remember when he was still a rookie hunter, before he became known as the king of the hunters and the last time I met him was back in 1999 and I remember it well.

I was walking in a park at night, minding my own business, when I saw a little girl who was about around seven years old, she wearing a blue dress, long brown hair and she looked lost, she shouldn't be out so late.

So I went over there and keen down to her level.

"Are you ok?" She just looked at me with sad eyes and didn't speak

"Where are your mum and dad?" Then she whispered

"Daddy said I'm not allowed to talk to strangers,"

"Yeah but don't worry I'm nice,"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." She just smiled back

"Umm I just lost my daddy, I was walking home with my daddy than I couldn't find my daddy have you seen him?"

"No sorry I haven't but I saw a police officer over at the swings,"

"Ok let's find him Mr blue eyes." She smiled at me again, I thought it was cute she give me nickname.

We walked over to where I saw a police officer but before we got over there I felt someone put a gun to my head.

"Step away from the little girl you blood sucker," I knew that voice anywhere, the little girl run away but not far away as I could hear she was close.

"Daddy, why are you putting a gun to Mr blue eye's head?"

"Go with uncle Tim right now, Daddy has work to do." I couldn't see where she went but I guessed she was taken away by her uncle.

"Why are you using your own daughter as vampire bait John?"

"You smelled it didn't you, my daughter has a special kind of blood that smells amazing to vampires, now turn around." I did what he asked

"John, she's only a little girl, you're lucky it was me who found her or she could be dead right now,"

"I wouldn't let that happen to her,"

"John, you know vampires are fast, they could have just took her in a blink of an eye,"

"Yeah but I could catch them,"

"No you couldn't, you hunters think you can out run a vampire, but you can't and that's what gets you or even worse people you care about killed." John just rolled his eyes and about to shoot me, when I knock the gun out of his hand, then he puts out a steak but I was too fast and knock it right now of his hand.

"See what I mean, we are faster, stronger and smarter then you and don't forget it, yes you might of killed some vampires in the past but remember most ones you have killed got to croaky now stop using your daughter as bait cause next time she could be someone else lunch.

With that I runway and for years I tried to find his daughter to make sure she was ok, but I never found her and feared the worst but then I found out that Sky was that girl from all them years ago.
