Chapter 12: Viva Las hostage

A person was sitting at a desk, with a communicator tied around his wrist. He was angrily shouting at someone at the other end.

"Alright, so the other three members were defeated and arrested!" He growled. "Now, I'm counting on you to keep the kids you have. You better not screw this up, or you can kiss your paycheck goodbye!"

"Yes, sir. I will do my best to keep my hostage with me."

The person smirked, and turned the communicator off. Then he turned to his hostage, and chuckled evilly. "It won't be long now, my dear." He whispered evilly. "Cause you're mine. And mine forever."

The hostage only whimpered as the boss stared down at her. "How about we have another round?" The boss slurred, getting up and advancing towards her. The child could only scream in terror for now...

Meanwhile...

"Are we at Las Vegas yet?" Cat asked as they drove the way to Nevada. They didn't have any extra plane tickets, so they had no other choice but than to drive. It had been already thirty-five long hours from North Carolina, and everybody, even Beck-who was driving- was getting tired.

"We won't get there for another two hours, sweetie." Robbie replied to his wife. Cat pouted and just looked out the window... the same thing that Jake was doing as he gripped his sword. He was still rather bothered about what he almost did to Tori a few nights before. His hormones had gotten the better of him... why did he let them get the better of them? Was it because he was a teenage now? Maybe. He was still in love with Tori... but she was married now... and she has two daughters, one was a toddler... and one that needs rescuing.

I sure hope Skylar isn't hurt... who knows what the head boss will do to her?

Cat had turned to Katie and asked her a question. "Katie, baby. What did Savannah do to you while she had you?"

Katie took a deep breath and began to speak. "Well... she just kept me tied up in that lighthouse... she didn't hurt me or anything..."

"Well, as long as you're okay, that's all that matters." Robbie told her. Katie grinned a little, but she was still afraid of being in a lighthouse now. Jake stared at her with concern. So far... all the of kids he rescued accused him of being bad. But why? What was the reason for that...? Whatever it was, Jake had to think about that later, and focus on getting Ryan.

Two hours later.

Beck pulled up at the closed Las Vegas Elementary School. "Ryan's in a school?" Katie asked.

"Well, that's what the tablet says." Ross answered.

"I wonder what he's learning." Cat thought out loud.

"Obviously nothing if he's being held captive my a teacher." Jake responded as he got out of the car and walked towards to building. "You all stay here, and I'll save Ryan..."

With that, Jake kicked the doors opened, and walked in the school...

"Ryan! Are you here?" Jake called as he walked down the halls. Where could the Shapiro son be in this place? Jake had practically looked all around and checked every room... or so he thought.

There was one room that was locked, and through the window, Jake saw Ryan tied to a desk and a black haired lady talking to him. This had to be the one holding him hostage. Jake kicked the door open and stormed in. "I'm here to save you, Ryan."

Ryan looked rather scared. "But why? Why are you saving me?"

"'Cause your parents are waiting for your return and-"

Before Jake could finish his sentence, he felt a metal ruler hit him in the back of his head. The pirate boy groaned and fell to the floor. Ryan yelped in worry. "Are... are you okay...?" He asked with concern.

Jake got up and felt the back of his head. There was blood, and it was thick. But that wasn't gonna stop this pirate boy from saving Ryan. Growling, he faced the person who hit him. The woman, who looked like she was at least in her thirties, adjusted her glasses as she smirked. "So... you're the one saving the hostages..." She hissed. "Well... my boss has a paycheck riding on me keeping my hostage, so you better get outta here before I discipline you."

"Who are you, anyway?" Jake asked.

"My name is Miss Nancy." The woman answered, aiming the metal ruler at Jake. "And you're being a very bad boy. Looks like I will have to punish you."

Jake glared. "Not if I can help it. Ryan's parents are waiting for him, and I'm gonna bring him back to his family. So, unless you wanna surrender and let him go... then fight me."

Miss Nancy chuckled and then got in a fighting position. "Very well then, boy. Good thing I'm a black belt."

With that, Jake charged at the woman, raising his sword and attempting to stab her. But Miss Nancy just dodged him and grabbed him, throwing him over at two desks in the corner. The boy quickly recovered and got up. He then powered up his Destiny Sword. " Maybe I can stun her." He said to himself. Concentrating hard, he fired a beam at Miss Nancy...

But Miss Nancy had dodged the beam by doing a back flip. This surprised Jake a lot. That's when the woman charged towards Jake and kicked him in the stomach. Jake fell over again and rubbed his stomach. He quickly recovered and tried to punch the woman, but she ended up grabbing his arm and twisted it around, making the boy scream out. Jake kicked Miss Nancy in the leg, causing her to release him.

"I don't like hitting females... but if I have to... I'll do it..." He slowly told the teacher. He then jumped up and punched the woman in the face... but she barely moved. She just smirked and raised the ruler, attempting it hit Jake with it. The boy dodged and shot another beam at the teacher. But she dodged again and grabbed a jar of fiercely sharpened pencils.

One by one, she threw them at Jake. The boy used martial arts and jumping skills to dodge each and every one of them. "Is that really the best you can do, lady?" Jake taunted. Miss Nancy growled, and grabbed a yard stick from off of her desk. "You're really asking for it, aren't you?" She asked. Jake just smirked as held his sword up in front of the lady.

Soon, it was a one on one fight between them. Punches and kicks, ducks and dodges. It was very intense. Ryan was looking with worry and concern. Would Jake win this fight? Or would Miss Nancy?

After a few minutes of tussling, Jake got up and shot Miss Nancy with a beam. Now, it didn't stun her, but it did make her a little dizzy. After shaking her head a few times, she glared up at the pirate boy. "You're a clever child... but are you as clever as me?" She asked tauntingly. Jake just growled at her. Suddenly, without warning, the woman whipped out a pencil and stabbed Jake in the arm with it. Jake screamed in pain as the pencil pierced his skin.

"Jake! Are you okay?" Ryan asked with concern.

"I... I'm fine, Ryan. Don't worry." Jake assured the boy as he pulled the pencil out. A small drop of blood was on his arm, but that wasn't gonna keep him from fighting. He used his good sword to fire a beam at the upcoming pencil that was gonna strike him. The pencil burned on impact, making Miss Nancy scream. "NO! That's one of my good pencils, you twerp!" She exclaimed.

Jake was at first confused until he realized something. Miss Nancy loved pencils. A lot. The pirate boy then smirked, now knowing the teachers weakness. Grabbing a pencil off the floor, Jake snapped it in half. Miss Nancy screamed again. "NO! Stop! You're destroying my precious pencils!"

"Too bad!" Jake retorted, grabbing another pencil and breaking it. One by one, he broke pencil after pencil, making Miss Nancy more anxious and frantic. "No! No! No! Stop! Stop! Stop it! Please! I give up! I give up!"

Jake stopped as he was about to break another pencil, and looked at the woman. "Are you sure?" He asked for reassurance.

The teacher nodded quickly. Jake smirked, and dropped the pencil. "Alright then, you may go. Now if you would excuse me, I'll go untie Ryan and take him to his parents."

Jake walked over to Ryan, and undid the knots on his wrist. "Wow. That was impressive, Jake. Thanks for saving me." Ryan said as he got up. "You're not as bad as I thought."

"I'm never bad, Ryan. Now let's go see you parents and sister."

"Wait, you mean... Katie's okay?"

"Yep! I saved her."

With that, the two boys walked out of the room, but not before Jake used his sword to stun Miss Nancy, just in case she tried anything else.

Cat and Robbie were waiting frantically for Ryan to come out. Jake had been in there for so long, it was making the Shapiro couple nearly go crazy. Katie tried to calm her parents down and assure them that Ryan would be okay. "Don't worry, Mom and Dad. Jake will get Ryan out of there. You just gotta be patient." Cat nodded at her daughter and then too Robbie's hand. "Let's just pray that Ryan is okay..."

"Mom... Dad... Katie..." Called a voice from outside. Cat gasped and Robbie's eyes widened when they heard that voice. Getting out of the car, they saw Jake... and their son walking towards them. Cat smiled with tears falling as she ran over to her son and hugged him. Robbie soon joined in, as well as Katie. It was a Shapiro family reunion at the moment, which made Jake, and everybody else, smile.

After a few minutes of hugging, Cat cuddled both of her children close to her as she kissed both of them. "Now I have both of my wonderful babies back and with me and Robbie." She said happily.

That made Tori frown a little. If only I had both of my babies back together with me and Ross. She thought as she also thought of Skylar. Where oh where could her ten-year-old daughter be? Where?

Katie hugged her brother lovingly. "I'm so glad you're okay, little brother." She told him.

Ryan smiled. "I'm so glad you're okay, too, big sister." He replied to her.

"Well..." Jake started to say. "Five kids down... only three to go."

"Aaron and Audrey." April spoke up, thinking of her twins.

"And Skylar..." Tori added.

At the mentioning of Skylar's name, Jake began to think about her. He honestly had the feeling that she was with the head boss... but who is that head boss? Jake just had to know. He had to know so he could kick the head boss's butt for kidnapping.

That head boss will wish he never met me when I get to him. Jake thought.

Well. Looks like Ryan is saved. Now, they're gonna find the Harris twins. Are the twins together, or were they separated like Katie and Ryan were? You'll have to read and find out when the next chapter comes. Until then, here's another chapter preview for you:

It was quiet on the plane as April was asleep. Andre smiled at his sleeping wife, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. He then leaned in and tapped Jake on the shoulder. "You will make sure that my kids aren't hurt when you save them, right?" He asked the pirate boy.

Jake grinned. "Of course, Andre. Hopefully, they'll know where Skylar is. I still can't believe we don't know where she is."

"Aw. But I'm sure she's somewhere in the world. Who knows, she may be close to us then you think."

Closer than you think? Jake thought. That sounded so familiar. Like it was referring to a place that seemed far away, but was closer than people think. But what was that place?

What could it be? And could Skylar be in that place?

Can you guess what place I'm referring to. Answer in a review, please. Well, that's it for this chapter. I'll see you guys later, and don't forget to review, please. Thank you.
