Chapter 12

Nodding Kimiko replies "Um yeah. I don't know what's up with it but it feels magical"

"Zzzzzzz zzz zzz zzzzzzzzz"

"Kimiko wake up this instant" demanded Kimiko's English teacher.

Kimiko suddenly woke up startled unsure of what was going on in her surroundings. She had no idea she had fallen asleep, glancing around the classroom she saw that the other student weren't in there seats. Kimiko began looking around frantically seeing as she shouldn't of been asleep that long, she didn't even remember falling asleep and glancing at the clock it was only 2:00pm school doesn't let out till 3:30pm. Kimiko looked to the front of the class and realized the teacher had resumed her English lecture. Suddenly Kimiko heard a scratching noise coming from the back of the classroom turning around to find the source of the noise her focus drew upon a figure in the corner. The corner was too dark for Kimiko's eyes to identify the face of the person in the corner but she could identify that he/she was wearing a long dark cloak that was tattered which was waving in the wind from the window just over head. The scratching ceased and the figure who was currently facing the desk brought his head up slowly and brought his head out of the darkness slowly revealing. No skin, or eyes an nose or mouth instead a shimmering skull. This brought a gasp to Kimiko's lips and brought her eyes as wide as saucers. Slowly the cloaked figure got up with its coal black cloak fluttering by its bony feets, its hood hanging loosly off its head and it slowly made its decent for Kimiko. Kimiko being unable to speak, nor able to move sat there shaking. Once the cloaked figure reached Kimiko it raised one bony hand and in it appeared a scythe, a skull imprinted near the blade. As the figure swung Kimiko found her strength and dove out of the way. However, unfortunately the scythe managed to nip her arm which caused it to bleed.

Running over to her teacher who hadn't realized the events of what was going on in the classroom Kimiko began screaming "Miss. Miss. Help. Help. There is something back there trying to kill me"

However the teacher didn't respond just kept writing and writing on the board. Turning back she saw that the cloaked figure was getting closer and that the features on it somehow looked familiar.

"G-grim R-reaper" stuttered Kimiko before continuing "No you're a Shen Gong Wu, your not suppose to be here, your suppose to me with… Chase"

Confused by the idea of the Shen Gong Wu being here and it coming after her to take her life she made a mad dash for the door. After escaping the room with the Grim Reaper in she locked it, before glancing in a window to make sure its safe only to notice the Grim Reaper to have vanished. After being scared to death by a magical appearance from a Wu that she is completely sure Chase has she begins to wander the hallways wondering where all the teachers are, where the students are and where Keiko is. That was until…

"Help! Kimiko Help!"

Hearing this voice stopped Kimiko frozen in her feet because it was the voice belonging to her long time best friend Keiko. Sprinting towards the voice that kept echoing 'Help! Kimiko Help!' she came towards the gym. The gym which held so many memories was lay in tatters, almost all the windows were smashed, there was scratch marks all across the floors and walls and the rope which the gym teacher used to torture us with was gone. Glancing around the gym Kimiko soon found out where the missing rope had gone, it was tied around Kieiko. Keiko was on the far side of the gym near the shield, which was missing and the cases glass shards was scattered everywhere. Keiko was worse for wear herself she had a black eye, her clothes were tattered and she had blood running down her torso staining her school uniform.

"K-Keiko… are you alright?" pleaded Kimiko before setting out for a running pace towards the immobilised girl.

Keiko straining her head so she can see where the new voice was coming from widened her eyes upon seeing Kimiko "NO KIMIKO! STAY AWAY THAT'S WHAT HE WANTS"

Pausing her sprint midway the Xiaolin Monk asked "Huh What? Who wants wh…"

Before she could finish her sentence she was tackled by a huge green lizard, his golden orbs for eyes pierced into her sole. Gasping Kimiko tried to struggle free but to no avail, with every movement Kimiko tried the green lizard pinned her down harder making her squeal. Suddenly the lizard on top began to morph into the semi-human Chase Young. Gasping once again mainly from lack of oxygen due to the pressure Chase was putting on her lungs, she shrunk back worried to what Chase would do to her. Surprising to her however Chase released some pressure of her lungs which allowed her to breath a little better. The most peculiar thing of this experience was that Chase actually smiled at her, not his usually cocky smirk but a genuine smile. Unfortunately when Kimiko began to struggle again he pushed a tiny bit more pressure on her and put a finger to his lips. Not understanding this meaning Kimiko continued to struggle which in turn got Chase to push not a little bit of pressure on but a whole lot and this time his whole demeanour changed. Instead of the smile he showed moments before replacing it was grim face which possible held a dark meaning. Moving one of his hands Chase swiftly brought to light the Grim Reaper pointing it towards Keiko. Kimiko just stared eye wide at the turn of events she began to struggle and when she opened her mouth to protest against Chase using the Grim Reaper no sound came out all she could do is watch and weep. Moments past turning to minuets that felt like hours as the fire monk just lay helpless she saw a blackness emerging from the Wu surrounding Keiko. Keiko just watched screaming protests as the blackness materialised into a figure behind her, Kimiko gasped as the figure came to light as the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper raised its scythe, as Keiko turned her head in just enough time to witness her fate. The Reapers scythe came down with lightning speed that even Kimiko nearly missed it and in seconds it was finished. The reaper went back into its Wu and Keiko's lifeless body fell limpless to the floor, with her head lay a few meters from it.

"I don't want to hurt you Kimiko but give me a reason and I will" was all Chase said as he let the sobbing blackett up.
