"Cut it out!" Therese groaned as Sid pushed her again, making her stumble as she walked.

"Cut it out, cut it out." Sid mocked. Brodie was standing nearby, watching on contently with a smirk.

Therese stepped on Brodie's foot, causing him to groan, but he didn't do nor say anything else. She turned around to do the same to Sid, but Sid responded by punching her in the jaw.

Therese gasped and tears sprung to her eyes as she fell to the floor, holding her cheek and jaw on the left side of her face. She quickly kicked out her foot, causing Sid to fall onto Brodie, and they both fell as she stood and stormed off.

"Nice job. You got beat by a girl." Brodie laughed. "Why didn't you just run like usual."

"I thought I could win, but we're not morphed so it doesn't matter. I'd be a lot better if I was morphed." Sid defended.

"Uh huh." Brodie smirked.

"You alright?" Dr. Powers asked as Therese held an icepack to her now bruised jaw. The punch was so hard, it even bruised the actual jaw bone as well.

The other rangers were currently fighting Veenom, but Dr. Powers wanted to check out Therese's jaw first, just to make sure the jaw bone wasn't broken.

"Yeah." Therese sighed. "I can't believe I just stood there and let my guard down."

"It was unintentional. Even the best mess up sometimes. Just be careful." Dr. Powers warned.

"I know. I should probably get to battle now, shouldn't I?" Therese asked.

"If you want. Just be careful about letting anyone or anything near your jaw, on either side."

"Okay."

Therese arrived at the battle and saw all of her friends on the ground, still morphed, but seemingly unconscious. "Guys?" She asked, going up to Keith and shaking his shoulder. Suddenly, a fist popped up and hit her in the chest, knocking the wind out of her as Keith got up and the other rangers joined him in standing above her as she regained her breath.

"Guys?" She asked. "What are you doing?" She looked up in time to back away from a kick to her face from Luke. "Luke! You guys are trying to hurt me?"

The rangers laughed and advanced on the yellow ranger.

Ginger walked down the hospital's hall and into Elijah's room, looking at the comatose boy. His injuries were healing up, but he was still unconscious. She frowned in confusion. Then her eyes widened at Robert walking down the hall. He gasped and ran into the bathroom before he came in. She heard the door open and heard his footsteps.

"Hey Elijah." She heard the muffled voice. "I don't get it. You should be awake by now. I know you're one of them, so do you, but you need to wake up. I don't care what you are, and you're only like this to hide it so you don't have to pretend anymore, but we can reason with Keith. He would never destroy you. You're his younger brother."

What is he talking about? Ginger wondered. She knelt down and looked through the crack in the bottom of the door and saw Elijah move slightly and change figure slightly. His hair was a bright red and his eyes glow black under his closed eyelids before he changed back.

Animali was the only word that came into Ginger's mind.

"Stop! I can't hurt you guys!" Therese yelled as she backed away from the fighting rangers. Ally ran forward, but Therese pushed her away, trying not to use attacks that would hurt the rangers, but it seemed as though it did, because Ally immediately demorphed and had scorch marks on her.

Damn it. "Sorry!" Therese called.

Ally suddenly screamed as a black sludge came out of her ear and she looked up. "What happened?" She asked.

"I have no idea, but help me." Therese said as she finally took out her sword to the three male rangers.

"What are you doing?" Ally shrieked.

"They're under some sort of mind control, like you were, but you snapped out of it." Therese explained.

Ally looked at the males sympathetically. "Please Ally, I can't take them on by myself."

"Okay." Ally sighed, "Do we have hurt them?" She asked worriedly as she remorphed.

"I don't know, but you only demorphed when I accidentally burned you, sorry, by the way."

"It's alright." Ally nodded. "I think we have to hurt them to help them."

"I was thinking that, but I don't like it." Therese agreed.

"Neither do I." Ally said. "On three."

"One."

"Two."

A pause. "Three."

Both girls lunged forward, shooting the boys with their blasters and knocking them to the ground. They demorphed and screamed as black sludge came out of their ears.

"Did that happen to me too?" Ally asked.

"Yeah." Therese nodded.

"Gross!" Ally shrieked. "Black slime came out of my ear!"

Therese laughed as the guys groaned, coming to. "You guys alright?" She called as the girls slowly walked over to them.

"Well, I feel like I got shot with a blaster a bunch of times, but other than that I'm just fantastic." Luke said sarcastically.

"Funny." Therese rolled her eyes, offering her hand to him to help him up, while Ally helped Keith and Frank up.

Robert turned around to see a gun pointed towards him with Ginger behind it.

"Ginger." Robert gasped. "You're alive."

"You're hosting an Animali?" She asked, though it was more of an accusation.

"Ginger, please, hear me out. He's only a kid. There are good Animali, and he is one. Please don't hurt him."

"Are you kidding me?" Ginger asked. "He may not be evil now, but he will destroy you eventually. He may be half human, but he can't keep his Animali side in much longer, and you know it."

"Please, give him one chance. He's weak now and wouldn't be able to harm anyone anyway. Just wait until he wakes up to do anything." Robert pleaded.

Ginger lowered her gun. "Fine, I'll give him one chance, and one only. I won't tell Keith or any of the rangers, but if this gets out of hand, I will."

"Thank you." He hugged her. She froze for a moment before returning the gesture.

"I have to leave." She stated, pulling away from Robert's embrace. "I'll see you again. I'm going to be coming her as much as possible to make sure nothing happens."

"Rangers, I want you to meet Ginger, our stealth teacher." Dr. Powers announced as Ginger walked in.

"I need to talk to you." Ginger said.

"Umm... okay. Rangers, we will be right back." Dr. Powers nodded as they walked out of the room, closing the door behind them. "What is it?"

"I found the key to breaking the curse." Ginger stated. "It's not an option for now, however."

"What do you mean?"

"You know, 'the key to breaking the curse is the half human half animali that resides within one of the families in a future generation.'" She quoted.

"Yes, what about it?"

"I found him. It's Keith's adopted brother, Elijah." Ginger answered. "We can't kill him, especially with Keith and that I promised not to until he woke up from his comatose state."

"You were right to do so." Dr. Powers nodded. "We will not tell anyone."

"I know. And we have to be careful. We don't know what this kid is capable of, but I was told that he was one of the good Animali, like the Master's daughter, Riana." Ginger paused. "Where is she anyway? I thought we were still looking for her."

"We are. We can't get her until the Master isn't looking, though."
