"Kagome"

Kagome jumped; she didn't know how long she had been standing there "Hu, sorry?"

"He is to be married."

"Huh?"

"I know that look,"

"What, look?"

"You have developed feelings for him."

Kagome looked back out "For, Sesshomaru?"

"You must not."

Kagome looked back, had she? "He's just a friend,"

"Who soon will be married, just as you will be."

"Where is Inuyasha?"

"Kagome heed me."

"I heard you Kikyo, I know" She snapped,

"Go to bed sister; it is late."

Kagome bowed and grabbed her bow and went to her room.

She laid on her bed and pulled out the mirror he gave her and looked at her face.

"He fixed it" She touched it, and her heart skipped a beat at the thought. She snapped the mirror shut "Kikyo's right" Kagome whispered "I, I like him."
She sat back up "When did that happen?" This was bad "Maybe he won't come back, he has no reason to come back."

They made her sad "Kagome you foolish girl!" Tears filled her eyes "You can't, not with him"

Leave it to her heart to pick him. She shook her head, no, he was to be web, she could not like him, want him or love him, he was off limits. Kagome pulled out the letter she received from her future husband, the man she was to marry and then closed her eyes. After a moment she hid the letter and breathed. The next day she told Kikyo that she would not see him again, that if he came calling to send him to someone else. Kagome put the gifts he had given her away and wrote him a letter that she wasn't even sure she would send.

He was still a friend, and she didn't want him to think she was insulted or insulting him, she just wanted to explain.

But when he showed up with a few men two days later, she found that she could not even give him the letter.

"Where is my brother?"

"Oi I'm right here,"

"You will go with us,"

"K, fine by me,"

Sesshomaru looked at Kikyo "Were is your sister?"

"In her room,"

"Is she ill?"

"No,"

He blinked "Call her down,"

"No,"

"You refuse me?"

"Why do you wish to see her, are you not promised to another?"

"What does my marriage to another have to do with her?"

"I must decline, she is promised to another,"

"Why must I repeat myself?"

"She doesn't want to see you" Kikyo snapped,

He was taken by surprise "What have I done to warrant such treatment?"

"K, come on, why do you care away, it's just Kagome," Inuyasha pushed by him, Sesshomaru eyed Kikyo before following Inuyasha out.

Once outside he looked up at her window, she looked down and held her hand up as to wave, he turned away.

Then they were gone.

"Have you made up with the Miko?" Sesshomaru asked,

"Something like that, k I dont get those two at all."

"Hn"

"She said some stupid shit about letting go and then coming back, I dunno whatever."

As they walked back across Sesshomaru pulled out the letter he forgot he had, it was from his bride to be.

Dear husband to be,
My father has accepted your houses offer. I am afraid I can not reveal anything to you about me as I am sure these letters are being read. I offer you but a single clue.
My hair is as dark as a raven.

Sesshomaru crumbled the paper in his hand. He was sure his father had read it and sealed the scent. Sesshomaru could make nothing of it other than the woman had dark hair.

"You dont think Dad is marrying both you and Kagome off to the same family do you?"

He had not even thought about that, all he knew was he wanted answers, and he wanted them now.
