At work, it didn't take long for Takao's co-workers to once again figure what must've happened. It didn't take him long to figure out why they were acting out of the norm around him either.
Though, this time, he knew better than to take extra shifts on whim.
Just as the day was about to end however, Takao looked up to a familiar face peering down at him.
"Heya." A smug, blond grinned while landing a large hand generously on his head.
"... Miyaji senpai, what're you doing here?" He grouched upon realizing it wasn't Midorima, tapping his senior's hand away.
"What's with that attitude. I came to check on ya. Also, I need somewhere to stay."
"Well, thanks for coming to… Hey, wait, what?"
His voice cut off when the tall blond slapped a hand over his mouth to shush him. "Damnit, shut your trap. Let me stay at your place a bit. Of course I'll pay rent for however long I stay."
Batting his senior's hand away once more, Takao glanced around the shop, then turning behind him to look at the clock.
"... Go wait for me outside."
On the way back to his apartment, Takao never ceased glancing over at the taller man; he couldn't quite help feeling that Miyaji seemed a bit too calm for his liking. It was upsetting, especially considering the other person involved was Takao's baby sister.
"So, senpai..."
"Keep your mouth shut till we get back to your place, yeah?"
Experience from highschool and years of knowing how snappy Miyaji could be immediately compelled Takao to obey orders, and not a word was uttered till Miyaji had comfortably seated himself on the sofa.
Back from locking the door and setting some water to boil, Takao sat across his senior, carefully eyeing him.
"So… What happened?"
"Isn't it obvious? We had a fight… No no, not that kind of fight, don't get nervous." The blond quickly added when Takao near scrambled to his feet. "We had a… Disagreement. So, I'm staying with you till she calms down."
In the meanwhile Takao could find very little to think aside from worrying about his sister. "Does she know you're here?"
"Nope. Don't need to. She's smart enough to figure it out on her own."
Takao quickly decided it wasn't his imagination that Miyaji's tone sounded just a touch spiteful at the finish.
"Well..." He gave up with a shrug, looking around the apartment and mentally checking his inventory. "I don't mind, but I hope you brought a blanket or something."
"Yeah yeah I get it, now give me your wifi password, I need to work." He muttered dismissively while digging out a laptop.
Takao rolled his eyes, shifting his senior's laptop in front of him to input the password when his phone started vibrating on the table, just within reach. The caller ID showed exactly who they'd both suspected it might be.
The two glanced at each other, Takao quickly connecting to the internet before picking up his call and heading into the bedroom.
