Chapter 13 – Marriage
On September 24, in Ireland Becky and Fergal said their I do's. The wedding was small. They just wanted their families there. But they were very happy to have a big wedding reception back in Orlando with so many of their friends.
The color of the wedding of was green. Fergal wore an all-black suit. But his tie was green. He also had an artificial white rose pinned to his jacket. Becky didn't have a traditional wedding dress. She wore a spaghetti strap V-neck jade green dress with sliver detail around the breast area. She wore her hair down with some wave to it and had a green gem burette on the right side of her head, holding back the hair on that side. She had artificial white roses as her banquet.
The two were so happy once they were pronounced as husband and wife. They had an indoor wedding. But shortly after sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, they heard the sound of rain. The day had been full of dark clouds, but it did not rain. However, the weather decided to rain shortly after Becky and Fergal were now married.
"I can't believe it's raining, finally," Becky said. She and Fergal stood outside the place they had their wedding. They were undercover. Becky's back was to Fergal, but he had his arms around her, holding her close.
"I know," Fergal said. "I looked it up for what it means with it raining on a wedding day."
"What did you find?"
"It brings fertility, which means we will have children. It is cleansing of tough times and sadness in the past. It has unity which signifies our marriage will last. For renewal, it signifies washing away of bad memories or occurrences and gives us a completely new, fresh chapter in our life. And with tears it means you, the bride will shed the last tears of your life."
"Fertility, cleansing, unity, renewal and tears," Becky replied.
"Yes," Fergal said. He kissed her head.
"I love it all."
"I promise I will do my best not to let there be tears."
"I think there will be," Becky said. "But tears of happiness."
"Yes, because I know you will cry when you finally win that Women's Championship."
"I wouldn't be surprised. The championship will be mine soon."
"Yes, it will."
"But right now, I am happy to be have a new title: Rebecca "Becky, Becks" Devitt."
"Finally, huh."
"It came true, so that's all that matters to me really."
"Me too." He kissed her cheek while she smiled.
