This drabble concerns Sue, another minor character. I view her as being a boxer and physically strong due to her physical appearance. Takes place before the Show, then switches to the Aftermath.
ULTIMATE PAYBACK
Six children clustered together, their starchy uniforms rumpled and ripped, traces of fear and terror intermixed in the air. Minutes ago, all six of them had nearly been torn apart by the rest of their classmates.
Destroyed like the 'straw dolls' that they apparently were.
Yet, to the Immune members of SPLAT's devastation and horror, Dinah Glass had given herself up. Pleaded with the Headmaster for the lives of her and her friends, in exchange for herself competing on the School Quiz Team, thus providing St Champions with a much more secure chance that they would be the victorious team.
Sue Winters smirked, the triumph she felt radiating through her. With Glass on the team for definite, their school would grasp victory and the Headmaster would be able to put his new regime into place, without any mishaps.
Her smirk widened as the Headmaster began barking out orders to the rest of the children. She considered it utterly pathetic, how the little bunch of troublemakers had mustered up the idiotic idea of taking down the head of the school and claiming that the Headmaster himself was 'evil' and 'wicked.'
Sue had viewed the group's passionate speech from the doorway of the boiler room, her fellow Prefects, Sarah, Peter and Simon beside her. All four of them had been livid upon being released from their room and they shared the same desire to seek revenge on the little brats.
Although they swiftly realised that they would not get a chance to right now, Sue was adamant that she would get her way. Even before the new regime.
The bargaining chip from Glass had been pathetic as well, and Sue sneered as she observed the orphan's current form. All of her fear, albeit greatly concealed, caused Glass to seem like a moron. To Sue's mind, she was and it was only the girl's astounding intelligence that was her saving grace.
Sue placed her attention onto the Headmaster as the man stalked over to his four lower ranking Prefects. She listened intently as he rattled off a list of orders, smirk turning feral as she was informed of her instructions. Sue nodded in understanding, then shot the six troublemakers her feral smirk, before striding over to them, her heavy footfalls striking pure fear into all of SPLAT's hearts.
Sue loomed over them, the smirk transitioning into a grin, the feral quality remaining. As everyone save for Dinah Glass and Lloyd Hunter whimpered, Sue hissed:
"You best be afraid…. Brats. You are going to PAY for attempting to thwart the Headmaster's plans!"
A mirthless chuckle sputtered out from her, sending off the impression to SPLAT that the Prefect looming over them didn't laugh too often, then large hands were snatching hold of scruffs of blazers and the children felt themselves being tugged away from each other.
In the end, Sue had three children clasped in one hand and two in the other. Dinah Glass was the only one who remained, un-snatched and feet on the floor. However, she was soon in the grip of the Headmaster and the man wasted no time in 'guiding' her through the doors, a snap of his fingers the indication that was needed to get the remainder of his pupils following him towards the hall.
Leading the rear of the line, Sue dragged the five children along by the scruff of their blazers, their feet barely skimming the ground. Once they reached the hall, Sue deposited them onto their feet, then snapped at them:
"Go up the stairs! Row thirty!"
The children didn't DARE to argue against the broad, burly girl and within seconds, had fled up the stairs and were in the process of seating themselves. Sue smirked again, then settled into her own seat, occasionally checking from a distance to see if the troublemakers were behaving and afterwards, sneering at Dinah Glass if their gazes ever locked.
The Orphan never reacted, but Sue could just tell that she was prickling Glass's skin, from the way her eyes cast downwards.
Sue leant back in her chair as the show commenced, mind full of the Headmaster's orders for the new regime.
Never had she been this infuriated.
And as a person who possessed a short fuse to begin with, that was saying A LOT.
But, Sue felt betrayed.
How DARE this man hypnotise her! Hypnotise her to bear misery onto hundreds of children and to force her to obey orders of ONE SELFISH PRICK! Well, she wouldn't stand for it!
Nostrils flaring, Sue slowly rose to her feet. SPLAT's words resounded in her mind and she heard Sarah's gasp of shock next to her as she was also informed of the Headmaster's true nature.
The man himself was on the stage, covered in gunge and failing to recover from his tickling session. Sue narrowed her eyes, her stomps causing everyone in the hall to set their gazes onto her. She approached the Headmaster, fists balled at her sides.
She was going to make the man BLOODY.
Sue halted before the Headmaster, chin jutted as the man raised his head to her, extraordinary green eyes boring into hers. Sue felt a pull on her brain and had to swiftly berate herself before she could fall into a trance under those intoxicating eyes.
Observing his loyal Prefect, the Headmaster smiled slightly and crooned:
"Sue…. Destroy the dolls!"
"TAKE THIS, YOU BASTARD!"
A fist flew forwards, smashing into the Headmaster's mouth. The man stumbled back, blood filling his mouth and staining his lips. Wide eyes centred onto Sue. What was she doing?!
"S-S-Sue-"
"SHUT UP AND TAKE IT, OLD MAN!" Sue roared as she proceeded to pound the Headmaster into a bloody pulp. Encouraged by the cheers of the school, specifically SPLAT's loud ones, Sue delivered the final blow, exclaiming smugly:
"Don't mess with the Boxing Champion of the South East!"
She blew air onto her bruised knuckles, pleased that all of her training and successes had led to this moment. Spinning on her heels, she shrugged at Eddy Hair's gobsmacked face, chirping:
"He deserved it!"
Suddenly, she sneered and raised a threatening fist. "Want to try me on?!"
"No, young lady! I don't wanna trouble you!" Eddy Hair's smile became pained as he backed away from the Prefect. Sue scoffed, hissing:
"Good. Mess with me and I'll punch your lights out. Now, I've got a boxing match to attend."
