Raven: Hello my loves, I'm back. Ive revised chapters 11 and 12 so you should read over them before this one. Also this chapter is the longest one I've wrote so far so i hope you like it.
Sebby-chan: I'm proud that of you for not giving up.
Ciel: I wish you would give up. You updated only once last year!?
Raven: Hey!? I was trying my best okay. This year I'm going to mange my time better okay...
Ciel: Sure lets just wait and see...
Raven: Sebby-chan, Ciels picking on me again! *sobs*

Last time on Black Miko
I decided to get up and ready for the day, since I wasn't going back to sleep. Once I washed up and changed my clothes, I walked out onto the balcony. I looked out toward the horizon watching the sunrise, marking the new day."What am I to do? I've put my trust in them, but one of them could destroy the world."
Midoriko had said the demon I was supposed to kill was taint and would destroy the world, but none of them seemed to want that. I was looking down into the garden when I heard a knock on the door...
Chapter 13:Mischievous Duo
"Come in" I said, walking inside to see who it was. "Good morning Kagome, I see your up early." said Mey-rin, walking over to the bed and stripping it clean. "Yes, the sunrise was quite beautiful today" I said walking towards her. "Would you like something to eat?" she asked, while putting fresh sheets on the bed. "No, I'm not very hungry at the moment." I said. I walked over to help pull the sheets down. "Thank You. Well I'm off to wash the laundry" she said moving towards the door with an arm full of sheets.
"Would you like any help?" I asked. "No thank you, I think I can manage." She smiled, heading out the room. "Well, it's just you and me, Buyo." I said. I looked at the chair in the corner, and was surprised to find it vacant. I looked around the room to see Buyo nowhere in sight. "Buyo?" I slightly shouted in the room. I looked under the bed, on the balcony, behind the corners, and everywhere around the room. 'He must have slipped out when Mey-rin left' I thought, while walking out into the hall.
I looked down to my left and saw a tail winding down a corridor. 'Found you' I thought walking after it. I was just rounding the corner when I bumped into something. I became unbalanced and started falling toward the ground, when I felt two arms circle around my waist and pull me upward. "I'm sorry Lady Kagome, I was in a hurry and wasn't looking where I was going" said Sebastian, looking a little stressed. "Oh, that's quite alright. What are you in a hurry for?" I asked. It was unusual for him to be in a rut.
"The children from count Barton's orphanage have been invited by the Young Master to come over." He said. "Well that was nice of him what day will they be arriving?" I asked. "Tomorrow…..." he sighed. "Oh, I can see the problem." I replied. Ciel has the tendency to be a little… heedless, when it was up to Sebastian to prepare something. "Anyway, the young Master is awake, why don't you keep him company until lunch." He said. "Okay, but first I have to find Buyo." I replied. "Has he escaped your room?" He asked "Yes, I'm afraid he slipped out when Meyrin came to get my linen." I explained.
"Then I think it be best you find him as soon as possible." He replied. "Yes I agree, though you would have to let me go in order to for me to do so." I said guesturing to his arms around me waist. He looked down as if not realizing he still had a hold on me. I expected him to release me and shuffle on to his next task, but instead he held on. He then looked back up to my face and leaned a little closer in toward me. "I find this to be quite an agreeable position, don't you agree Kagome?" he whispered down at me.
I felt a shudder run up my spine and was at a lost for words. How do I feel about him? What does he feel for me? I trust him but I know so little about him. Before I could reply to him he pulled away and grabbed my hand. "It seems I will have to bid you a farewell for now my Lady, until next time" he said bringing my hand to his lips and placing a chaste kiss upon it. With that he sent me a wink and continued down the hall to prepare for the children. Snapping back to reality I starting walking the direction Buyo left.
After searching the Manor for half an hour I found Buyo perched on a chair in on of the halls. "There you are" I said picking him up and cradling him in my arms. "You cant wonder off alone like that here. I'll let you roam outside for a while so you wont be cooped up indoors all the time" I said making my way to the gardens. I set Buyo down and headed to Ciel's Office. I knocked and waited for Ciel to answer "Come in" I heard him call gruffly. I opened the door to see him doing some paper work. "Good Morning Ciel!" I smiled at him taking a seat on the coach. He looked up from his paper work and i could see a small smile form on his lips. "Good Morning Lady Kagome I trust you slept well?" He asked. "I slept pleasantly, how about you" I lied, I'll do some research into what Midoriko said and talk to him one I have a better understanding. "I slept fairly well, Thank you. " He said finishing whatever document he was reading. He got up from his desk and walked over to the coach.
"I was just reviewing a new shipment of Phantomhive Bitter Rabbit that are coming in and now have the rest of the day free." he said taking a seat next to me. "It seems as though you will be quit busy tomorrow though" I said thinking of all the children arriving. "Yes I trust for Sebastian to entertain them." he said with a bored expression. "Won't you play with them as well." i questioned. "I have no interest in 'playing' with children, I have far out grown such childish ways." he said puffing his chest out a bit. Part of me found it cute while the other a bit sad that he was forced to mature a lot faster than his peers. "I think no matter what age you are, we all have a free and child like spirit with in us. I think you should show yours a bit more." I replied. "I am the lord of this manor, I must uphold a certain image." he said looking at me. I smiled and pulled him into a hug. He flailed a bit but relaxed after a while.
"It's true that you are the new lord, but you are still much in your youth Ciel. I wish for you to cherish these moments for as long as you can. When you are in your manor, safe from peering eyes, you should feel free and have fun to a degree. I hope that in time I will be able to see that side of you." I said to him slightly pulling away. He ran over my words for a moment, thinking to himself. "I do have my fun every once in a while you know." he said straightening up. "How so?" I questioned. He turned and smirked at me before saying "Why don't I show you." With that he stood up and held out his hand for me. I accepted it and followed him out of his office toward the great hall. On the way there we saw Finni leading Sebastian toward the garden in a hurried manor. 'I wonder what that's about?' I thought to myself. Once we reached the great hall Ciel held the door for me and ushered me in.
Inside laid a beautiful array of desserts, the most elaborate being the ginormous chocolate sculpture of London and a man riding a horse. While i was busy looking at the layout before me, Ciel grabbed a latter and knife. "What are you doing?" I asked seeing him place the latter near the horseman. "I have a craving for something sweet and this seems quite appealing." he said climbing the latter. I moved over to steady the latter so he wouldn't fall. "Isn't this part of the sculpture for the children?" I questioned watching him cutoff the horseman's head. "Sebastian can make another, and as i said before, I have my fun ever so often." he replied climbing down the ladder with the head in hand. I giggled looking up at the now headless horse man and felt a bit off guilt in my part of this hinder in Sebastian's work. Though it went away by the time Ciel put away the ladder and knife and i felt the air of michief between us.
We quickly snuck back to his office, trying to contain our laugh along the way. Once in side we sat down behind his desk and chatted away while eating some of the chocolate. "I can just imagine his face when he comes back to see his horseman has been beheaded." laughed out Ciel, before taking another bite off the head. I nodded in agreement imagining the angered/confused expression on the Well mannered butlers face. We ate as much of the head that we could before settling down. i felt Ciel's head lay on my shoulder and his breathing start to even out. I laid my head on top of his as we enjoyed the peace and quite between us. "Kagome you are one of the few people i feel at ease with." he said breaking the silence. With the arm i had around him i reached up and patted is hair. "You remind me a lot of my brother, hes about your age and i miss him greatly. In fact i miss all of my family a lot, but i know ill find my way back to them someday. and if that's not the case then I am grateful to have you all here with me.' i said to him. "No matter what you will have a place with me Lady Kagome." he said. "If you don't mind I'd prefer if you call me Kagome" I said to him. "Of course Kagome" he answered. With that we drifted of back to a comfortable silence and eventually a sleep.
I woke up to the sounds of someone entering the study. Looking down, I saw the Ciel was asleep on my shoulder with chocolate still on his face. I could only assume I was in a similar state. "Pardon me Lady Kagome and Young Master" I heard the voice of Sebastian call out into the room. 'There's no way out of this' I though trying to shake Ciel awake to no affect. I heard Sebastian make his way closer until i saw him round the corner of the desk. "Hey..." I smiled up at him awkwardly. He had a look of shock at first taking in both our states, but the quickly changed to something quite sadistic. "Young Master! Please wake up! How many times have I told you not to snack on the sly!? " he started in a loud bold voice. This seemed to started Ciel awake. He looked confuse for a moment, then his face fell into a frown as Sebastian continued to lecture both him and I about the incident we've caused.
Ciel and I were both sentenced to no desert after supper, as punishment for our misbehavior. I spent some time in the library searching through the books looking for something to help me answer what demon i was to purify. after about an hour of searching i heard the door to the library open. Sebastian can walking in with some ta. "The young master is of to bed and suggest you do the same soon since many children wil be here int he morning." he said placing the tea in front of me. "What are you looking at" he asked looking at the books opened around me. He picked one up and proceeded to read a few lines. "Tainted demons?" he questioned looking at me. I nodded, picking up the tea and taking a few sips. The tea helped clear my head and brought a warm feeling in my chest. "They might have a reason to why I was sent here." I said looking at him. He held my gaze for a minute before placing the book down. "Is that so... If your done shall I escort you back to your room?" I asked holding his arm for me to take. I nodded deciding I had enough for today and should get some rest.
As we walked to my room i about what happened earlier in the halls with Sebastian. How he held me close and spoke sweetly toward me. "Sebastian..." I spoke softly as we stopped in front of my room. "Yes Kagome?" he asked looking down at me "How do you feel toward me truly." I said looking up into his eyes searching for the truth. He held my gaze and replied "In the time I've spent with you and gotten to know you I believe that I have grown fond of you. The only humans I can say I truly have an interest in are you and the young master, but they are in different ways. With the young master I thirst for his soul and find his quest for vengeance intriguing." he said. I nodded along listening to his smooth voice as he continued. "Though with you i feel an ache in my chest, you bring a new feeling I have yet to experience. I do lust after you, but I believe I care for you and may even begin to fall in love with you as well" he said looking as though he didn't quite understand his feelings himself.
Swallowing my nervous i took his face between my hands and looked up at him. "I care for you as well and have grown to like you in the time we've spent together. I wont lie to you, I've been hurt before and have since but walls up to guard my heart from those feelings. but with you I feel as though my walls become a piece of paper blown away. I want to trust you and hope that you will not hurt me." I said. He reached up with one hand gasped my left hand that was on his cheek. "I will do everything in my power to keep from hurting you" He said with sincerity flowing through his eye. With that he started to lean down slowly "Allow me to court you Kagome.' he asked.
A blushing mess, I nodded not trusting my voice to reply evenly. He turned and gave me a tender kiss on the cheek, wishing me a goodnight. "Goodnight" I said retiring in to my room. I changed into a night gown and crawled into bed. Thinking back to the tender look in his eyes I prayed to the gods Sebastian would never become tainted. I could never purify him if that was the case, I care to much for him. Clearing my head I slipped away dreaming of the Mischievous acts Ciel and I could cause together...
