Chapter 13

Kagome was sure a million years had passed, as she stood silently in the shadows next to the beach house, her gaze glued to her fidgeting hands. "Don't be a coward," She chastised herself once more, inhaling deeply and then releasing it in a whoosh. "You can do this…You can -,"
She gulped.
Who was she kidding? There was no way in hell she could walk into their house and deliberately search for Yashie. What if she walked in on him kissing Kikyou – or worst? She didn't think her memory could accept such an image without crumbling her sanity. But then again, what right did she have to Yashie? What right did she have to say who and what he spent his time with? A loud snort bubbled from her with a roll of her eyes. There she go again, insulting Kikyou as if she was any better after what she'd done to the one person who loved and understood her.
Her gaze shifted upwards, scanning the dark area as bodies moved around, some together and some alone, all without worries. The music blared against their senses, hypnotizing them into relaxation. A small smile touched Kagome's lips as she listened to one of their songs, admitting to herself just how beautiful it was – even though the scorching words were enough to push her back to the past and make her feel like shit all over again. This song in particular, with Yashie's sinful voice flooding her system as he spoke about a love he tried so desperately to forget, yet his unconsciousness forces him to always remember, had her reeling with regret. He was torn between both feelings, consumed with emptiness when he forgot, but overwhelmed whenever he remembered. Kagome's eyes shone brightly as he referred to her as his deceitful angel, the pang of guilt growing more with each verse. Maybe this was what she needed to hear, needed to feel as a sick punishment that'll push her into finding said singer and talking to him…asking for forgiveness once more…
Maybe she should just get the fuck out of here and avoid him like the plague.
Kagome turned on her heels to head home, but a flash of Sango's face halted her retreat. The glare her friend shot her way before heading off to find Miroku (even though she'd screeched out her denial), reminded her not to run from her fears and to always remember hope would never abandon her. Kagome smiled softly, evening out her breathing as she looked down at the red dress she'd hesitantly stepped into. Like a trigger, the dress brought back heated moments of the past, one that had her cheeks blazing at the bold statement she knew Yashie would get.
"I have hope," She whispered to herself, clinging on to the word even though doubt still clung to her.
Turning around quickly, her shoulder's squared, she told herself over and over that Sango would kill her if she found out she ran away like a pussy. And she knew that wasn't a far cry from the truth. Looking down at the hand chain with the sapphire tear drop, she smiled softly as she spotted her tattoo and knew she couldn't back down now. Not when the phrase she promised to always adhere to was imprinted on her skin as a permanent reminder.
Taking one last deep inhale, the sea breeze flooding her nostrils, she exhaled loudly before stepping out into the light.

That pull that people spoke about where your hair stands on end and your skin prickled into awareness like a fucking radar? The kind that alerted you to something or more like someone instantaneously, no matter what you've told your brain to do?
That kind of sick twisted fucked up pull?
Inuyasha knew he had it the moment he paused in his mundane conversation with Kikyou, scanning the length of the beach from where he sat on the porch's railing. His grey gaze were lit with comprehension yet the spark in his chest increased his heart beat slightly, sending a surge of excitement through him. Inuyasha felt the soft caress of Kikyou's hand on his thigh, her petite form moving closer between his parted legs. The feel of her lips against his chest made him roll his eyes slightly, but he was too caught up in his search to do anything he knew would get her pouting and sad. Because he just wasn't in the mood.
His eyes caught a flash of red, and he stiffened.
The silky flow of crimson danced around her pale form as she came into view a few feet away from where he sat, and he almost choked on the lump in his throat at how fucking beautiful she was. The dress revealed her spectacular curves to his hungry gaze, and thanks to the transparent thinness, he was granted access to the cotton spaghetti dress that ended just below her ass, stretching tightly across her derriere greedily. His body reacted instantly, and for a second Inuyasha felt like his desires were on the verge of bursting forth like some inexperienced teenager.
"You're so hard," He heard Kikyou's voice moan out, her palm fluttering over the raging rod that still reacted to Kagome as if she was the last female on earth he'd just discovered. His brows furrowed as he watched her walk slowly towards them, wishing she'd keep her head down and at the same time hoping she'd look up to see him. Notice him the way he'd noticed her.
As if God heard his prayer, sapphire pools drowned him instantly and he heard his breath hitched in his throat, causing Kikyou to giggle softly. If only she knew the effect she had on him was as effective as watching the discovery channel…
Inuyasha watched as Kagome paused in her steps, her eyes opening to saucers and her lips parting in shock. He couldn't help but glare at her, a reflex he thank the heavens he still possessed no matter how fucking gorgeous she was. When her eyes travelled to Kikyou, he knew jealously was eating her away, and he didn't dare stop the smirk that tugged on his scowling lips.
Kikyou was always that girl who Kagome knew wanted him, ever since they were kids and by nature – she'd hated her with every fiber of her beings. Not to mention the fact that he did indeed hooked up with Kikyou on a regular basis before anything happened between them. Anyone in their right minds would be leery at such a figure – not to mention he'd gone back to the same girl after their break up.
Bringing himself back to the now, Inuyasha wrapped an arm around Kikyou's waist, dragging her closer to the hard on that the lady in red had caused. When Kagome's eyes dimmed slightly, her body sagging like a beat up doll, he was jerk enough to admit the wave of satisfaction that crashed against him.
That was short lived however, the moment he saw Joshua Matthews make his way towards her. He watched as they chatted before recognition dawned in Kagome eyes. The next thing he knew, they were hugging.
Then he saw red.

"I had no idea you were in town!" Kagome's smile split her face in half, looking over the first guy who'd had the balls to ask her out despite who her brother and his friends were. "I heard about that football scholarship you got so I guess congratulation is in order since I didn't get to tell you before leaving," She looked him over, noticing how buff he'd become since the last time she saw him. His hair had grown out, shaggily dancing against his thick lashes and Kagome was reminded of the past where she thought he was the guy who'd help her forget about Inuyasha.
He nodded slightly, a smile tugging on his lips. "I just got home actually," He brushed his bangs away, but as they fell back stubbornly in place, his grinned. "Gosh, you look more radiant than ever." He breathed suddenly.
Kagome blushed deeply.
"I mean – Um…" Stuttering, Joshua felt his cheeks heating up suddenly. "Shit, here I thought I could keep it cool."
Kagome threw her head back with a burst of laughter. "You've changed." She noted. In the past he had a cocky way about him as if the world revolves only for him and the girls drop everything to get his attention. She suppose when she didn't act impressed by him, it caused him to pursue her. Try as she might Kagome couldn't lie and say she didn't bask in it, knowing that a guy who noticed her cared enough to try and get to know her even with her brother and his mosses in tow.
"Heading out in the big world does that to a small town guy," He admitted. "I had to humble myself, because all of a sudden – I wasn't the best in what I do." Thinking back to the beginning of his university days, Joshua felt a sense of shame wash over him when his attitude caused him to be scorned and humiliated during football practices. "There were a dozen star athletes vying for the top." He explained and Kagome nodded her head in understanding.
"Well you weren't in Oakley Shikon anymore," She nudged him as they headed closer towards the shore, her mind momentarily forgetting about the brazen display of disgust between Inuyasha and Kikyou.
Kagome hugged herself tightly, fighting the chilly air while she and Joshua found a seat near the bonfire. He asked her if she needed a drink, but she refused as she got comfortable next to him. 'I still got time…' she reminded herself, refusing to accept that she was now scared shitless. 'He's clearly busy at the moment.'
"So tell me how you've been Kagome?"
Opening her mouth to respond, she paused, her brows furrowing as she let his question roll around in her head. How have she been really? Apart from going about what semblance of life she had, day to day. Ignoring the deep hole in her heart and the emptiness of her soul? Denying herself true happiness and faking it as much as possible only because of her awesome friend? Kagome didn't know how to honestly answer that question, and until now she was good at lying about it. The words I'm fine spilling from her lips as if her brain had already programmed it every time someone decides to ask her such a question.
"I'm…" She pressed her lips together once more.
It was basically humorous – the fact that just because she was back home, the lies seems to flee from protecting her. Betraying her in the presence of all the truth that laid scattered in her home town. Kagome snorted as realization dawned on her. As acceptance shone brightly around her. Should she be happy or sad? Because either way she was probably fucked.
"You're thinking too hard."
Joshua's teasing voice brought her back from her silent debate.
"I am not," She pouted, shoving him slightly.
He chuckled deeply and she smiled warmly at the bare happiness in his eyes. "It's okay to not be okay you know?" He shrugged, his eyes revealing his knowledge. Then again, the town is small and everyone – even the old bats knew about the big break up between 'Yashie and Kaggie'. She pressed her lips together as he continued. "What Eri –…"
"Don't," She mumbled, a sudden lash of pain turning her body taut. "I just… I don't…" Kagome sighed loudly, her fingers lacing through her hair in frustration. "Just don't."
Joshua raised both hands in silent obligation. "I'm sorry." He whispered. "I just thought that –…" He clucked his tongue. "I'm sorry." He finalized.
When Kagome looked back up at him, the grin she'd forced in place instantly fell as her gaze shifted to steels of gray.
"Yashie!" She gasped, the familiarity of his name sending a surge of emotions through her.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" He hissed, his eyes shredding her to pieces.

Leaning against a rock away from the loud music, but close enough to the bonfire, Miroku had his arms crossed as he looked down at the brown eyed firecracker standing before him as she nursed the beer in her hand. He grinned at her, enjoying the way she squirmed under his gaze, but rolled her eyes to cover it up.
"I know you want me."
She snorted, hiding her blush behind the cup as she took a long gulp of the amber liquid.
"I know you're crazy," she grumbled after swallowing a mouthful of the sweet substance. "…And perverted."
Miroku threw his head back and release a loud roar of laughter. "We're both adults here," He continued on a chuckle, his eyes sweeping slowly over her form. The way her lacey tank stop hugged her frame, and he dark jeans were painted on her shape made him groan as he licked his lips slowly. "Let's not ignore this…" Pushing off of the rock, he dipped his head slightly, bringing his lips inches away from her ear. "Spark," he breathed against her, loving the way she inhaled deeply. "Between us."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Miroku chuckled. "Sango."
She turned her head slightly at the call of her name, instantly regretting the way his eyes trapped her gaze. Here she thought she had everything under control – and that this Miroku was like any other guy she'd dealt with and had under control. And for a second, with audience and the light as their witness – she thought she had everything on lock. That he was wrapped around her fingers the moment she'd thrown a few hard words in retort to his flirting.
But then Miroku wouldn't be a player if he wasn't good at the game. She soon found out the moment they were alone and his goofy personality had taken a back seat in favor for his more dominatingly serious personality. The kind that made her turn docile, hanging on to his every word as those same words threatened to burn her to cinders the more her blushes intensified.
"Let's leave the childish games for the kids." His violets sparkled under the moon's gaze and she felt her mouth drop open at the beauty drifting off of him.
His eyes fell to her lips and she felt molten lava bubbling in her tummy.
"I'm not interested." She breathed.
His eyes flickered upwards.
Sango prayed for the pressure of his lips to press against hers. The weight of his body to sink against her and demand what she refuse to express in words. Just once she wanted a taste of him, even if in the end she'd probably have to blame it on lapse of sanity. But by the gods, she never wanted a man so much until now. From the short conversation they'd had in private, she'd gotten to know him away from the image he portrayed and a sense of smugness washed over her at the knowledge. She hoped she was the only girl who got to witness him this way, and the thought of not being the only one made a surge of jealousy wash over her.
Positive that this was where he'd kiss her, ravish her lips and force her into compliance – one that he didn't have to work for but she'd damn well fake it – she was disappointed when he backed away, taking up his previous posture with a smirk in play.
"I've done my share of begging," He started, pushing off of the rock once more, his body a mere inch from her warmth. "The next time, you'll be the one begging."
"I'm not going to fuck you." She hotly hissed, her eyes narrowing on a glare.
Miroku chuckled. "Oh don't for a second think we won't fuck." He promised. "But it'll all be when you're the one begging for it."
Sango snorted. The nerve of this guy! Was cockiness fucked up all the band's asses? She turned her gaze away from his blazing pools, instantly spotting her best friend. Her brows furrowed as she noticed the lead singer hovering over where Kagome was seated. By the looks of it, they weren't having a civil conversation.
Miroku followed her gaze, a curse spilling from his lips before he took off in their direction. Sango raced after him in a heartbeat just in time to hear Inuyasha's last words.
"You're not fucking welcomed here," he spat, and Sango turned to see the tears pooling in Kagome's eyes.
"Who the hell –…"
"Really Inuyasha?" Miroku broke in, making his way to a shaken Kagome who was now standing slightly behind a buff male. "Do you always have to make a scene every time Kaggie's around?" He threw his arms around Kagome, dragging her in his embrace. "Don't pay this ass any mind – let's go get you a drink."
"I can't believe you fucking invited her!" Inuyasha shouted, causing a few to stop and watch them intently. When Kagome visibly shrunk in Miroku's embrace, Inuyasha couldn't tell if his anger grew from annoyance towards her or mere jealousy. "She has no right to be here – going about like some common whore –…"
"That's enough Inuyasha!" Miroku shouted, the humor leaving his voice. His orbs narrowed angrily at his best friend. "Just because she's talking to a guy doesn't make her a whore."
His only response was a snort.
"It's okay Miro," Kagome whispered brokenly. The last thing she wanted was to cause tension between them. If leaving was the key to dissolve everything then she might as well run along. No point in staying after the way he'd made her feel. Besides with his anger and equally angry words – she was never going to get to talk to him. "I was about to head home anyways."
"I'll walk you home." Joshua chimed in, scowling in Inuyasha's direction.
"You got something to say fucker?" His hands were fisted at his side, ready to take his frustration out on re-arranging his damn face. Inuyasha never liked the kid from the beginning and he wasn't about to have any change of the fucking heart any time soon.
"You're pathetic." Joshua whispered, shaking his head.
Inuyasha's jaw's ticked.
"You don't have to leave, Kaggie." Miroku squeezed her shoulders. "Kouga's been asking for you and I'm sure you've missed the idiot."
When Kagome smiled sadly, a tear tumbling from her eye she looked around slightly as if she'd suddenly spot Kouga. She honestly did miss his expressive ways and longed to hang out with them all once more, even if it was for a few golden seconds.
"Maybe another time."
"Let her go," Inuyasha spoke between clenched teeth. "Don't deny her the only thing she's actually good at." He nailed her with a look of pure hatred. "Running."
"If you little piece of fuck was decent enough, maybe she wouldn't have to run!"
Inuyasha's gaze flickered to Kagome's friend and he swore he'd never had an urge strong enough to tear a bitch down – silently telling her how lucky she was to be a female.
"That the best friend?" He spat, looking her up and down with disgust. "You both know how to pick 'em eh?" His dark smirk flicked in Miroku and Kagome's direction and he was pleased when a flash of anger filled Kagome's teary eyes.
"You can insult me to your heart's desire. Tell me how bad I am, and how whore you think I've become," She evenly started, shaking off Miroku's protective hold as she moved towards him. "But I'd be damned if I allow you to insult my friend." Her shout rose above the music and she noticed the crowed had grew even more. "I've already apologized to you, and I've stayed clear of you yet for some inane reason you popped in to stir up trouble like some fussy teenager!" Walking closer to him, she poked at his chest daringly. "Grow the fuck up and let bygones be bygones."
Seriously not the conversation she was hoping to have with him. But the moment he turned his harsh words on her friend, she felt the need to protect her. Sango did nothing wrong but looked out for her – even when she thought it wasn't necessary. She couldn't and wouldn't let Inuyasha speak down on the one person who cared for her despite her short comings.
Her only response was a dark chuckle.
"I suppose our past is bygones huh?" He whispered.
For a moment, Kagome swore she heard a crack in his voice. The sadness shining through his stormy greys flicked out so quickly she probably did nothing but hoped for it because the next thing she knew – his glower was shrinking her surge of confidence.
"It was so easy for you to walk away," Backing away from her proximity, he threw his hands up in mock defeat. "I mean shit, you said you simply did away with the inevitable instead of letting it draw out."
"I didn't –…"
"Did she tell you everything bestie?" His question was aimed at a gaping Sango. "Did she tell you she did away with what we had because the fucking world told her that we would never last? Oh did she tell you about that sleazy bitch she once called her best friend?"
Kagome shook her head sadly. "I was just –…"
"Did she mention how she tried and tried until I gave into my feelings and accepted what we had? That I ignored all the whispers, simply to make her happy? To see that beautiful smile she uses so wonderfully to deceive people?" His voice definitely broke this time, the emotions taking a greedy hold of him. "I was free falling without a care – only to realize she wasn't next to me, nor was the fall as pleasant as I'd heard it would be." Snorting he looked at Kagome with disgust. "I laid everything out there for her, yet like a heartless bitch, she rejected me." He laughed coldly. "And then you know what she did? She fucking ran."
"Yashie…It's not –…"
"Shut the fuck up!"
Kagome flinched.
He gave a loud grunt of frustration. "I'm tired of this bullshit." He breathed harshly. "Fuck! Can't I get a goddamn break from all of this?!" Waving his hand in front of him at them all, he stared deeply into Kagome's eyes. "Can't you just stay away from me? Stop popping up like some fucking jack in the box and look for the right guy off of my goddamn property?!"
Not waiting for a reply, he turned hotly on his feet, pushing through the crowd that had gathered. The house was basically empty, every nosy asshole circling around them to get as much recipe for the gossip he knew was already cooking up. Looking up at Kikyou and Souta, he turned away from them with a scowl, taking the steps two at a time. He'd be damned if he had to endure entertaining Kikyou tonight – even though he would have loved to drown himself in her and try to forget – and as for Souta? The look of disappointment made him feel like shit. Why did he have to feel that way?! It wasn't like his fucking sister was innocent in anything!
He just wanted to be left alone.
Snatching up a mic just inside the door, he turned back to the audience.
"The party's over everyone!" After a few beat of silence, the crowd started in protest and his features darkened. "I'm not going to fucking repeat myself!" He hissed. "Get the hell off of my property!" Throwing the mic down roughly, causing it to cry out with a screech, he headed to his room and slammed the door roughly.
Why the hell did he agree to come back to this damn place?!

"You can't seriously mean to go to that piece of shit." Sango argued, ignoring the chattering of people as they head on home – their gazes lingering on their small group. "I honestly don't know what the hell you saw in that asshole."
Kagome's brows knitted, torn between defending him. "If I'm being honest – he wasn't always like that." Before Sango can protest Kagome sighed. "It's my fault why he's like that."
"You need to stop blaming yourself Kags!" Sango grabbed her by the shoulders, trying to shake some sense into her.
"You don't understand," She whispered, her voice dead as she looked in the direction Inuyasha rushed off too, her heart bleeding in pain. "You just don't…"
"I know it's hard for you –…"
"You don't!" She shouted, a sudden rush of anger jerking her body from Sango's hold. "Stop trying to act like you know, because you don't." She cried. "Everything he said was true! How could I be so cruel – begging him to give me a chance only to push him away and break him?" Pointing at the silent Miroku, she avoided eye contact, knowing that he understood and knowing that if she saw it, she'd only break down more. "He understands completely…" Why the hell would he be so silent and accepting of her rant? "If you think I'm hard on myself, or that I'm hurting?" She laughed coldly. "Then multiply that by infinity and… and…" She inhaled a shuddered breath, her tears falling freely. "I've broken Yashie Sango, and that's something I'd have to live with for the rest of my miserable life." By now she was crying openly, her body shaking from the storm of emotions crashing against her.
"I'm sorry." Sango whispered, her eyes shining with tears. "I'm so sorry." She hauled her friend into a tight embrace, wishing she could take away some of the pain. "I'm so so sorry, Kags."
Kagome didn't know how long Sango held her, but when she heard Miroku's calm voice invading their moment, she opened her eyes suddenly – noticing that they, including an awkward looking Joshua were the only ones on the beach.
"His room is the first one on the left, down the hall."
Kagome looked up to see Miroku smiling softly at her.
"I'm sorry for the way he acted," Running his hand sheepishly through his hair, Miroku winked at her. "An ass will always be an ass, right?"
Kagome choked on a laugh. "Thank you," She sniffled, walking into his opened arms. She sank into his embrace on a sigh, noticing for the first time how much she missed him – how much she missed everyone.

"I want to be alone right now." Inuyasha strummed his guitar softly, a notepad next to him where he scribbled every few seconds – no doubt writing a new song. "Lock the door on your way out." He dismissed, clearly not in the mood for any more arguments for the night. If he was lucky, his friend would take the hint and settle for chewing off his head tomorrow.
"It won't take long."
His fingers froze on a note, clearly noting that the voice belonged to neither of his three friends or Kikyou for that matter. Refusing to look behind him, he forced his fingers to move the same time he heard the soft click of his door when Kagome pushed it closed. He continued to strum out a slow melody, the tune filling the room with sorrow. Minutes ticked by without another word, only the soft scribbling of pen against paper and the guitar expressing his feelings echoed lightly in the room and Inuyasha's hyper awareness wondered if he'd actually imagined her presence. But he knew, the sweetness filling his senses – the same smell that was simply Kagome – was anything but thought up. He could still recognized that scent anywhere.
"It's beautiful."
He ignored her, though a small smile touched his lips at her compliment and the irony of the whole situation. Inuyasha knew she was aware that the inspiration was because of her. Who knew that something so beautiful can grow from a bad, rotten situation? If only she could hear the words he'd slashed across his notepad, would she still call it beautiful?
"It always amazes me." She continued on a whisper. "How easy and effortless music is for you."
"You're a great inspiration," He mumbled humorously, daring her to question how exactly she inspires him. Sure he already felt like shit for the way he acted, ashamed that he allowed jealousy to enter his darkness after all the time that had passed. He wanted an outlet, and Kagome was always easy prey – even though his intentions were anything but pure now.
"I guess something good came from all of this."
Inuyasha snorted, his stormy gaze flickering up towards her and he instantly noticed her red cheeks and puffy eyes that still glistened with tears. Swallowing thickly, he shifted his eyes downwards, focusing on the guitar's string while the silence thickened and cloak them in a blanket of uncomfortableness.
Kagome fidgeted anxiously, captivated by the beauty of him – even with the evidence of his hurt and vulnerable state – the powerful captivity forced her to pay attention to him. His dark hair settled behind him like a midnight waterfall. The way his fingers glided effortlessly along the strings had her remembering a time when he played her body to the perfect tune and the very thought had her swallowing thickly, the flicker of fire fighting for life now that she's within his presence. Alone.
"I know what I did to you really hurt you, and I'll be spending the rest of my life in regret and shame, just knowing how much pain and heartache I've caused you." Sniffling softly, she caught a stray tear on her cheek. "I just wanted to apologize to –…"
"Again?" He snorted, shifting slightly on the bed, but still refusing to look at her. His attention went back to his guitar, already playing the chorus' tune by heart. It still needed a few tweaking but in a few more hours, he was sure he'd fix it up to perfection. He should love the melody of pain in her voice, but he didn't. It pained him even more and he hated it. If she had just decided to go home, be the bitch he desperately wants her to be and ignore him until she goes back to school, he'd have accepted it. He'd have continued the battle of moving on and forgetting.
But she didn't.
Kagome swallowed her sigh, stepping closer towards him with hesitancy. Stopping short at his bed, she allowed her eyes to flicker to his rumbled bed which caused dark images to cloud her thoughts instantly. Images of him and Kikyou – images of what they might be doing if her being here didn't intervene. The thought of Kikyou touching Yashie, kissing him, allowing him to have his way with her made her sick to the core. "Yashie," She called, fighting the urge to step around the bed to stand directly before him. "Can't we just move pass this and try to be civil?" She almost choked on her words when his eyes clashed with hers, holding her captive. "The town is small – we're bound to run into each other before the summer is over." With a shy smile she shrugged. "Do you honestly want to come at me with harsh words every time I'm around?"
Narrowing his eyes at her, he eased his guitar back on the stand beside his bed. "Why did you come here tonight?"
Kagome furrowed her brows in confusion. "I already told you. I came to apolo –…"
Shaking his head at her, he got up slowly, heaving a heavily tired sigh. "You were here last night."
Having the good grace to blush guiltily, Kagome backed away from his advancement. "I didn't realize you…" She trailed off, remember he was practically fucking Kikyou on the counter.
"So I'm going to ask once more." By now her back was kissing the door, his body hovering before her. "Why are you here?"
Gulping as a rush of excitement spread across her body, Kagome tried to even out her breathing as she forced herself to keep eye contact with her ex-boyfriend. Thinking back to the conversation she had with Sango, she was sure her main goal was to find him and talk to him. To simply apologize. Even outside after he'd storm off – she needed to voice her regret and to beg him to be civil; at least until she left town. But now? Now she wondered if that was her main goal. She wondered if being alone with him, smelling the very aroma that was Inuyasha clouded her goal.
"I wanted to –…" She pressed her lips together.
Inuyasha smirked, a sudden rush of emotions dancing in his eyes. He tilted his head to the side, as if inspecting something inane. "Don't stop on my account." He teased. "Last night when I had my tongue down Kikyou's throat, you didn't feel the need to stop looking." When she ducked her head in embarrassment he chuckled. "So stop fucking around and tell me what you're really doing here?"
Jumping at the harshness in his voice, she looked up into pools of steal. She almost forgot how good he was at changing his emotions so easily. "So if you knew I was there, why didn't you run me then?!" She hissed, shoving at him roughly. "Gah! I can't believe how twisted you've become."
"A broken heart does things to you," He grumbled. "Besides, I enjoy seeing you hurt." Scoffing lightly he looked down at her with something close to disgust.
"You're a sick fucker," She hissed, turning around and fumbling with the door knob.
Just when she yanked it open, Inuyasha pressed a palm towards it, slamming it closed. "I never heard you complain about the way I fucked you." He breathed.
His breath was hot against her ears. Kagome suddenly felt the heat of his body close towards her, and if she wasn't so angry at him, she would have probably buckled at his hot words. "I'm sure Kikyou's enjoying that eh?"
"You're still getting jealous over her huh?"
"I am not jealous!" She screamed. "If anything, I'm happy you found someone," She was such a fucking lair. "I'm happy that even after the way I've hurt you, you still allowed yourself to open up to finding love again." Blinking away her tears like a pathetic ass, she gripped the door knob tightly. "Kikyou was there long before me after all."
"There was never anyone before you." He confessed.
Looking around in shock, she was quick to throw in a smart reply, but the sincerity halted her.
"Sure we hooked up and shit," He shrugged, looking up to gaze into her eyes. "But it had always been you – even before I knew it myself."
"That's a lie."
"You not being jealous is a fucking lie." Moving closer to her, he breathed her in, closing his eyes as bliss took him over. "You coming in here and telling me all this bullshit about apology is a damn lie."
"That's not true and you know it!" Swirling around to face him, she glared up hotly at him.
"Grow up and tell the fucking truth for once." He barked, stepping closer to her until his nose kissed hers. "Why the fuck are you here?"
His hot breath against her lips made her delirious. Her breathing increased, the erratic rise and fall of her chest causing her nipples to harden as they grazed his chest. "I have to go –…"
"Not until you tell me why you came."
"I told you I wanted to…I wanted to…" Her train of thoughts gasped away from her lips, her focus turning to his lips that were so close. She knew if she tilted her head slightly, her lips would ghost over his.
"Kaggie." He mumbled, his gaze shifting from her plump lips to her blue orbs. "Tell me."
Tired of lying to him; to herself, she flickered her attention to his, her body glued to the door. "You know why I'm here."
"Tell me," He cajoled, his right hand moving to brush a strand of hair off her shoulders. "I want to hear you say it."
Kagome eased her tongue from between her lips, allowing it to swipe slowly over her bottom lip that felt suddenly dry. "I…I wanted to see you." When he smiled, the small flicker of light grew into a blazing fire. It was a real genuine smile – the kind she was so use to that was filled with love and kindness. "God, I wanted to just –…"
Inuyasha cupped her cheek, tilting her head slightly. Their lips were touching, yet it was so light it could have been mistaken for the wind. "Say it," He demanded, his gaze scorching her blues.
"Yashie," She gasped.
He groaned at the sound of his name rolling off of her tongue, extending his tongue to flick against her lips. "Fucking say it sweet pea."
By now Kagome's breathing came out in short puffs, her hands itching to touch him. Her body was already tuning up for something unknown, yet familiar and she couldn't handle the wait. The way his words danced across her, sure and powerful with that touch of dominance she always loved, had her pleading with her eyes for him to push her, control her and take it to the other stage. Too embarrassed to reveal her true intent, she pushed forward a little, her lips brushing against his own. Moaning loudly, she found the strength to rest her hands on his hips, heat instantly engulfing them as the zing of their lust ricochet off of each other.
Inuyasha's free hand moved up to her head where he tugged firmly on her hair, drawing her lips away from him. When she groaned at the loss, he smirked. "Kagome." He breathed.
"Dammit Yashie." She whined, gripping his hip tightly and easing her hips to meet his. "I want you alright?! I thought I could cope with the loss but seeing you that night, and then finding out you're back in town – it's all I've been thinking about." She rushed out, her pools shinning with lust and love. "I knew it was wishful thinking but I just hoped you know? I hoped and I came here for you…for a chance of this." Her confession went on, blushing as she realized Sango's speculations were indeed true.
That was all Inuyasha wanted to hear.
He moaned in response, slamming his body against hers as he took claim of her lips roughly. Hearing her groan at the sudden aggression made him buck against her, dominating the kiss as she damn near fucking jumped him. His body felt alive, tingling as the seconds ticked by, begging him to take what was rightfully his, to dominate her and show her what the fuck she ran away from. As his anger mixed with his lust, his yearning, he moved a hand to the back of her neck, drawing her impossibly close as he sucked and nibbled on her lips, drawing a sweet whimper from her lips.
Breaking the kiss, Kagome gasped when he grabbed the back of her thigh, pulling her left leg up against his hip where he grounded his thick erection directly against her core. She hummed loudly, biting her swollen lips as her nails dug into his hips, her hips rocking against his rod. "Yes," She moaned working her hips harder – the friction of his jeans against her covered clit sending burst of tiny electrocution across her entire body. "Oh God, yesss." She hissed when he started sucking on her neck hard, the pain mixing with the pleasurable grind of his hips.
She wanted this – he wanted this. Fuck, they both needed this and they'd be damned if they allow their rational thinking to stop them. A part of her knew what they were doing was reckless but the other part wept for such a union. She hadn't been with anyone other than Inuyasha and the loss of his body sent hers into seclusion. So at the familiarity, she didn't think she had the willpower to stop him. She couldn't. And for fuck sake's she didn't want to.
He suddenly pulled away from her, his gaze dropping to the rapid fall and rise of her chest. When he wet his lips slowly, the predatory look masking his features, Kagome swore she was already on the edge – ready to plummet into the flow of melody.
"This is the same dress," He whispered, his eyes flickering up to hers. "You fucking planned this didn't you?"
Their bodies were still glued to each other, and the slightest movement reminded them of the pleasure scorching them. Kagome still felt the pulse of his cock against her core, and she could feel the slickness growing each passing second.
"I hoped you'd remember." Starting to feel uncomfortable, Kagome made to move her leg from him, her body already tensing up in preparation for his silver tongue to lash out at her in anger.
His grasp on her thigh tightened, and his eyes darkened as if a storm was forcing its way out. "Tell me to stop." His voice was hoarse, thick with emotion.
Refusing to look away from him, she moved a hand from his hip as she searched blindly for the door knob behind her.
The sound of the latch locking in place echoed loudly in the room, overpowering their labored breathing.
"Sweet pea," He groaned. "Tell me you want me to stop." He pleaded, his body taut as he fought for control. "Tell me this is a mistake."
At the sound of that word. Mistake. Kagome shifted her gaze, nibbling on her kissed-swollen lips. Not taking the chance to feel his touch, to bask in the way his fingers played her like his favorite instrument was the mistake – a sin in itself. Not wanting to think about it any long. Not wanting to think at all, but feel what he had to offer – what her body missed out on for so long, Kagome rested her hands on his waist, rolling her hips against his cock in response.
Inuyasha's eyes lit up and he groaned, his lips descending to capture hers in a brutal act of compliance.
