Upstairs, in the security room both Hyena and Pufferfish gasped. "But that's not possible," Pufferfish rubbed her temples. "The nano bots are created to stick to one specific object."

"But," Hyena interrupted. "From what I've learned Mercury can remove the creations from his body and they can stay stable. But if that was his first mission with those powers he had no control."

"So this mistake can't happen again?"

Hyena nodded, "he can control it now."

Pufferfish still wasn't satisfied. "Do you know how they work?"

"What do you mean?"

"His braces were controlled by thought and an amazing amount of mental control under pressure." She stood and began pacing. "But when he tried the same strategy last time he couldn't control it."

"That may have just been unfamiliarity," Hyena suggested.

"But you must know how he controls it!" Pufferfish begged her to answer although Hyena was obviously unwilling.

"Emotion," she sighed. "He can create anything by his mind, using the muscles in his body to sustain it but the stability and effectiveness is kept by emotion."

Pufferfish put her head in her hands. "Mercury is extremely good at that. But I fear the day when he looses that control."

BREAKLINE

Downstairs Gluestick and Mercury still had the problem of Ivan on their hands.

"I don't suppose you are going to tell us where you're hiding?" Mercury said, his nano bots swirling around his fingers in anticipation.

"No."

Gluestick made a fist, catching the glance his teammate sent him, preparing for the next move.

"That's to bad," Mercury said slowly, "Gluestick now!"

The chubbier boy stuck the robot to the ground and Mercury prepared to slice the machine in half when Ivan held up a small device to bigger than a calculator. The agents didn't have time to wonder what it was before a wave of electrical charge rang through the air.

Gluestick felt his insides swirl with nausea and dizziness but Mercury's face melt into one of agony and he bent over gripping his head. That wasnt right. It made Gluestick uncomfortable but it shouldn't cause pain.

BREAKLINE

Pufferfish and Hyena watch through the screen, the sound reaching them, making their stomachs churn.

The screen became blurry and when it came back Merucry was bent over, his scream blocked out by the fuzz coming from the speakers.

"JACKSON!" Hyena screamed, looking at the screen. With panic in her eyes she tore out of the room.

BREAKLINE

Evey one on the lower floors felt sick to their stomachs. Flinch looked down as his harness began to shudder and Matilda felt her inhalers quiver in her hands.

"What's going on?" Flinch groaned, holding his middle.

"I don't know," Mtilda rubbed her head.

BREAKLINE

Ivan laughed, but the robot that held his form was shaking. "You see young agents?" His voice became metallic, the evil sense of menace still there, "there is nothing you can do." He opened his mouth to say more but the voice broke and the hologram faded. The robot began sparking and shook.

The door at the end of the room flew open and a female voice screamed, "duck!"
Mercury and Gluestick hit the floor as the robot blew into a million pieces.

"Jackson!" a girl knelt next to his as he coughed, trying to bring his head back to earth. "Say something!" She gripped his hand in hers.

"Agent names in the field only Hyena," he smiled weakly. She sighed with relief, her chin sinking to her chest.

Ruby rushed in a second later. "Hyena, mission priorities!" she cried. Then she saw the damage. "What happened?"

"The Ivan robot blew up," Gluestick said, getting to his feet. He looked a little shocked but fine. "We need to find the EMP."

Both looked while Mercury struggled to stand, still out of breath. Hyena stood close by, helping him as much as she could.

"Did you find it?" Merucry said, his voice tired and distant.

"No," Gluestick mumbled under his breath for a moment. "It must have exploded along with Ivan."

Pufferfish nodded. "That's all the information we learned. Nothing." She cursed silently. "Gluestick, contact the others, tell them to meet us on the roof, have them go through the building, the EMP will have coursed enough attention."

"Got it" he said and carried out his orders.

Pufferfish turned. "Are you two alright?"

Mercury nodded, though he was still leaning over, hand on his knees. "Fine," he swallowed, "I'll be fine."

"Fine," Hyena said, glancing concernedly at the boy next to her.

"Why did you leave?" Pufferfish's hands curled into fists. "We were on mission. I told you mission always comes first!"

"I know!" Hyena cried. "I wasn't thinking, instinct took over and I–"

Mercury groaned and would've tipped over if both girls hadn't lifted him putting each of his arms around their necks. "You aren't fine," Pufferfish said, now sharing Hyena's concern. "Let's get you out of here."

"I just contacted the rest of the team and HQ, they should be here any minute."

Pufferfish nodded and both she and hyena helped Mercury limp through the door.
