BlackLynx17: So what problems does an anime club have after being made officially official? I'm wondering this, wondering, and I can't really come up with many answers. I have written a lot of problems in the future chapters, they're not all long going though. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want something horrible to happen. This is a light, high school fic though so the chances of that happening are slim unless I write this psychopath randomly in it... I'm not doing that ladies and gentlemen.
Thanks for all the reviews! This story is getting good, the romances are blossoming and are going to piss everyone off at the rate they go at. The only official couple we have is NaLu right now and I'm not even putting them in it another. I didn't write this story for NaLu though, but for Mendy in case some of you were wondering why Wendy is the main character. I love having everyone in here though and will start working on the other couples real soon. Enjoy.
AAA Chapter 13
I hated festivals. Ever since my second one, it never changes after that. Well... maybe this one is a little different. Maybe I have something to look forward to with this one, if just a little. I looked at the flyer in my hand as I walked to school, my other hand in my pocket while I listened to the openings of Bleach on repeat.
Looks like the AAA Club, for whatever reason that stood for anime club, had a booth open at the festival today and not only that. It seems they were entering the talent show as well. This should be interesting, incredibly interesting. With a smile I folded up the flyer and placed it into my pocket, pulling my earphones out since I was almost at school. I heard the music and saw the signs two blocks away. It's always the same thing. Maybe I should have came late, the talent show isn't until this afternoon... I turned around and started walking the opposite way until someone yanked my collar.
"Ow." I sighed looking behind me.
"Where do you think your running off to?" Mirajane smiled at me.
"I'm not running, I'm simply not interested in going to school until later." I said dusting off my shoulder.
"Oh, so you're only going to see the anime club's skit?" She asked.
I nodded.
"Same. I didn't believe it was really you when I spotted you because I was thinking, there's no way Doranbolt goes to festivals. He's never been to one ever since we were freshman together, but lookey here. I had a feeling you'd come to this one." She giggled.
"Whatever, so?" I shrugged.
"Well come on then, are you going to make a girl go all by herself?" She asked.
I sighed and turned back around.
"Such a gentlemen Doranbolt." Mira giggled.
"Whatever." I mumbled.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you alone right now? Aren't your friends going to the festival? Where's your girlfriend?" She asked.
"Ditched them all, you can be my girlfriend for today though can't you?" I flirted.
"I'm flattered, but I think you'd like someone else to play as your girlfriend for today."
My eyes narrowed, "what is that supposed to mean?"
"I wonder."
Damn, this girl never changes. We walked through the school gates and was immediately struck with the smells of a mixture of dozens of different kinds of foods and sweets and the blending of all kinds of music. I was hating the place already. I wrapped an arm around Mirajane's shoulder to keep us from getting separated as people constantly bumped into us.
"This way Doranbolt." Mira said leading the way.
I let her lead; she was going the same place I was heading right now so I had no reason not to. Between the people, the smells, the noises, and that constant bell that continued to ring every twelve seconds, I needed a distraction to make me stay here instead of leaving. Mirajane always provided a good distraction and what a coincidence, she was standing right in front of me.
"Why didn't you join the anime club Mira?"
Mirajane peeked behind her shoulder, "why didn't you Doran?"
"I grew out of it." I shrugged.
"Well then I did too."
So much for a distraction... wait a minute. I think I spoke too soon. Up ahead in the distance, I saw something yellow. I saw a lot of things yellow. It was like in the early episodes of Pokémon, when during the commercial they would show a silhouette of the Pokémon and say 'who's that Pokémon?' Except this time you saw the color of it and not the shape. I had a feeling what Pokémon it was going to be though seconds before we cleared the crowd.
It's Pikachu!
"Looks like we found their booth." I said.
Mira looked back ahead and smiled, picking up the pace to get there faster. I was surprised to see a line at their food booth, a little more surprised to see Laxus with Pikachu ears and red cheeks. I started laughing immediately and he looked up from what he was doing, shooting a death glare at me.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" I laughed taking out my phone.
"Doranbolt, pictures are a dollar." Mirajane said pointing towards the sign.
I ignored the long line and marched straight up to the front, slamming twenty dollars down on the table.
"I want a picture with Laxus!" I ordered.
"You idiot." He growled, but kept quiet when the little kid turned around.
She was dressed up like Pikachu just like all the others. She wore yellow shoes, long yellow socks that went to her knees, this white and yellow glittery, fluffy lolita dress along with the signature red cheeks drawn and headband ears. She looked simply adorable, innocent in every way. I'm glad they didn't make her wear the full Pikachu jump suit like they made Laxus, and when I did a quick skim around the booth, the other male members. Kid smiled at me and walked up to the counter.
"Wow, so you want twenty pictures with Laxus?" She asked.
"No, just one. Come on Laxus." I smirked at him.
"I'm going to-"
"Laxus, I'll take over for you." Kid said looking at him.
Laxus growled and walked around the counter. I quickly ran back in line for Mira and pulled her up, giving her my cellphone. She did a quick wave at Laxus before holding up my phone.
"Alright, say Pika! Laxus!" I grinned.
"If I see this picture posted all over the school tomorrow I'm going to rip you a new one." Laxus said.
I wrapped an arm around his shoulders and smiled, "sticks and stones. Pika!" I cheered.
Mirajane snapped the photo and Laxus elbowed me in the ribs, walking back to the booth. I laughed in pain as Mirajane walked over and handed me back my phone.
"Oh my God, totally worth it." I said looking at the picture.
There was Laxus, so completely pissed he was glaring hard in the picture hoping my phone would explode, and me, smiling my ass off.
"Why do you torture him?" She asked.
"It's fun, so much fun." I sighed leaning back up.
"Thank you, come again."
I turned around and saw little kid taking a picture with some freshman. Emphasis on the word man. She smiled and thanked them, walking back to her booth shaking her little tail.
"Hey Kid!" I called.
She looked up at me.
"Come here, I actually wanted two pictures." I said.
Though I wouldn't mind have twenty pictures with you in my arms... where did that thought come from?
"One second, be back." Kid said walking over to me.
Mirajane gave me an all knowing look as I handed her my phone again, waiting for my acquaintance to stand next to me.
"Been a while." She said.
"Told you it would be." I said placing my hand on her head.
She was so short it was cute. She didn't seem to like this though and swiped my hand away. Kid held out the peace sign and started smiling, I smirked a little and Mirajane took the picture.
"Thanks Kid." I said.
"No, thank you. Now if you excuse me." She said going back to her booth.
Mirajane walked back over to me and handed me my phone. I stared at the picture for a while until I felt it start getting creepy before putting my phone in my pocket.
"Thanks to you we lost our spot in line." Mira said.
"Let's go stand back in it then, oh wait. Did you want a picture with Laxus as well? I've already paid for them." I asked.
"You know, I wouldn't mind a picture with Freed."
"Freed! You're up!" I called laughing.
Freed was even more angrier than Laxus when he took the picture with Mirajane. After that we stood back in line and I took the time to admire their booth. It was small, but very well made. The main eye catcher was of course Pikachu, the whole booth being painted yellow with ears attached at the top. Their sign was in red and beautiful cursive, their menu written on chalkboard with pictures next to every anime related food. Everyone in the club, which was a lot more than I remember, was cooking or busy talking up with customers. That one anime cooking chick I've seen around school, Laxus, Freed, Kid, and four other people I didn't know. I used my time in line to stare at the menu, Master Ball cookies, Super Saiyan Curry, Zoro Rice Ball, funny. What seemed to be the most popular were the Pikachu crepes and Eevee hamburgers, every customer walking past us had one or the other.
"They really outdid themselves." Mirajane whispered.
"I know, she was very serious and dedicated to this." I said.
"I heard that if they don't attract enough attention to themselves, that the club is going to be disbanded. I don't think that's going to happen now looking at this."
And it was all because of her and her determination. I watched as Kid worked really hard, greeting the customers, cooking, taking pictures. There was always a smile on her face. By the time we were next in line, I still had no idea what I wanted still. The girl in front of us wearing a maid outfit and a red wig, or what I thought was a red wig because of the length of her hair, ordered a dozen Love Me Shortcakes. Maybe I'll get one of those.
"I think I'll take an Germany Chocolate Muffin." Mirajane ordered as we walked to the counter.
"Get whatever you want Mira, I'm paying." I said taking out my wallet.
Wendy smiled innocently at us, fluttering her eyes.
"Oye! Hey Mira!" A pink haired fellow said. His hair reminded me of the same color I dyed Laxus's hair.
"Oh hey Natsu, what would you recommend me getting? I'm unsure." Mira pouted.
"Lucy's baking is the best! Try the Love Me Shortcake!" Natsu smiled.
I've seen him before, on the football team. Yeah, he was one of the linebackers. So there were anime nerds there too huh?
"Then one of those also, plus a Draw, Drew, Drawn smoothie. That has blueberries in it, right?" She asked.
"Yup, Miki is blue isn't she?" The blonde cook said from the background.
Mirajane giggled, "then yes. Your turn Dorabolt."
"Uh... some Serena Odangos, the Chips, Syrup, Whip Cream Shake and... what do you recommend Kid?" I asked.
"Well I made the Zoro Rice Balls."
"Add those too then." I said.
Sadly, Wendy started cooking in the back and Laxus had to finish taking the order. I gave him the money and he didn't give me any change back, glaring at me with a twisted smirk.
"And make sure this guy doesn't spit in our food!" I called out to her.
I heard her giggling. She peeked back at me with a small smile before looking back at her stove, cooking whatever anime noodles represented. I pressed my lips together watching her move around the tiny space she had and present me with my food.
"Enjoy you two." She smiled.
"Thank you." Mira said grabbing her things.
"Hold on, Mira! You're going to see our skit, right?" Natsu asked walking out the booth.
"Of course Natsu, wouldn't miss it."
"Sweet, make sure you get good seats too."
"Natsu! Stop enough with the dilly daddle!"
"Shut up Gray, and how dare you come as a naked Pikachu!"
"Pikachu is naturally naked idiot!"
I stared at Kid as I grabbed my food from her, she avoided my gaze though. I wonder what that was about. She wasn't checking out the naked Pikachu was she? I looked up and saw this kid with a... I didn't recognize what anime the necklace was from, if it was even from an anime. He wasn't naked, he was just shirtless with a yellow bow around his neck, ears attached to his head and black pants with a Pikachu belt.
"Come along Doranbolt." Mira said.
"Thanks for the food." I said hoping she could hear it.
Mirajane led us to a nearby bench near the anime booth. The line started getting longer and longer and I watched as we started to enjoy our meal slowly there. This Love Me Shortcake was delicious, sadly Wendy's rice balls wasn't as... good as I hope they would be. I tasted the love in them though and refused to give any to Mirajane.
"This is amazing, why didn't the anime club before them come up with this?" Mira asked.
"Because their president was an idiot, and couldn't cook." I answered taking a bit out of my dango.
Not bad.
"So, you have a crush on the president it seems?" Mira asked ignoring my comment.
"I'm interested, I wouldn't go that far."
"Don't you have a girlfriend?"
"You don't mind me crushing on people." I said.
"I meant your real girlfriend."
"It's not like I'm doing anything about it Mira."
"Uh huh, why are you trying to act like Ikuto at the moment huh?"
"I prefer Ichigo, Ikuto didn't have a girlfriend or potential girlfriend like Ichigo did. Sure him and Amu were obviously shipped together, they never put them together at the end. Bleach still stands a chance."
"Well I don't think Orihime had any other crushes than Ichigo."
I paused on my rice ball.
"Crushes?" I repeated.
"You don't honestly think that she's in the anime club with some pretty good looking guys, all girlfriendless except for Natsu, and not crushing on someone." She said.
I started chewing again; I never thought of it like that before.
"Whatever."
"Alright Doranbolt, whatever. So what do you want to do after this?"
"Nothing."
"And you say you don't have it bad, stalking that poor, innocent girl."
"I'm not stalking, she just happens to be standing where I'm sitting."
"Why are you dating your girlfriend again?"
"Because she's hot."
"What about when you get tired of her beauty? What's left?"
I took a sip from my Chips, Syrup, Whip Cream Shake and stared at the clouds. It was time for a change of subject.
"Wanna play a game Mira?"
"Oh, you know how I love games."
"Good, I've been playing by myself recently. It's been fun, but I think adding another player would be even more fun. The game has to do with the AAA Club we both seem to find delicious." We shared a laugh, "Let's see which one of us can make more people join the anime club." I said.
Mira's eyes widened as she stared at me, "you don't mean?"
I shrugged, "I'm three up on you Mira. Better catch up quick."
"On the contrary, you are only two while I have one. I helped Natsu and Freed doesn't count, we both know he follows Laxus anywhere."
"Fine, I'm still winning."
"For now."
...
...
"You still care, huh?" I asked her.
"You still do as well, huh?"
I shrugged, "you can't just stop loving something."
"Funny, I was thinking the same thing."
Mirajane was no where to be found. This is why I hated festivals, you can never find anybody. Instead of wasting time looking for her, trying to call her, and things like that, I started heading towards the auditorium. Who knows, maybe she was trying to get away from me. There was barely anyone in there when I walked in, the shows must have just started. I got a seat near the front and sat down, staring at the kids do their thing. What time did it say AAA was up? Ugh. I fell asleep. I didn't wake up until I felt myself getting smacked at the side of my head.
"What the?" I woke up.
I glared at the person sitting next to me, who wasn't even looking in my direction. It seems I didn't seem to look around for who smacked me because I was looking at him right now.
"Is there a reason you're sitting next to me?" I spat.
"It doesn't take a genius to see there are no other seats available."
I blinked and looked around, wow the place had really packed up. How long was I asleep for? It couldn't have been that long... was everyone here to see the anime club's skit?
"Still, don't you think the ground would be a more suitable place to sit on then next to me Jellal?" I asked leaning up in my seat.
"I could ask you the same question."
How I hated this man, so much. I growled as I watched what looked like the baton club doing something.
"Did I miss the anime club's skit?" I asked to no one in particular.
"They're on next."
So I woke up just in time... or was hit just in time. The baton club finished their routine and everyone started cheering in the crowd. I clapped a little while stupid next to me remained blank.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Why else would someone be sitting here during a talent show?"
"You don't need to give me smart ass answers every time we talk Jellal."
"And you didn't have to steal-"
"Give it up for the baton club! Wasn't that amazing?! So up next is the wonderfully delicious anime club, All About Anime! Now did anyone else go to their booth today? Oh my, everything was just so delicious!" The class president said.
The crowd responded and I leaned up in my seat again, giving the stage my full attention. Wait a second, AAA, all about anime. Clever.
"This next performance is called, Riku's Journey To Candy Mountain. This is just one of two performances they have for us, so I hope you will all enjoy! Riku will be played by Gray Fullbuster, Kairi by Lucy Heartfilia, Sora by-"
I covered my ears, if I heard the names of the students playing the roles then the little game Kid and I were playing would be ruined. Riku's Journey To Candy Mountain? From Charlie and Candy Mountain? The crowd went wild, of course they would. That was a popular video last year and almost everyone knew about Kingdom Hearts, whether they liked anime or not. It's one of the most popular games out right now with all the sequels coming out.
"This is interesting." I said.
"They appealed to the right crowds, I thought it'd be some battle scene from an anime or something that no one would get the reference too." Jellal said next to me.
"Same."
We both started glaring at each other then the lights turned off. The stage light turned on and we all saw Riku, sleeping on the floor. It was the Riku from Kingdom Hearts 2, with the long hair but still the same outfit from Kingdom Hearts. Good choice, I never liked the first Riku. He was an asshole and a dumbass, only in the second game did he redeem himself fully.
"Hey! Hey Riku!"
"Hey Riku! Wake up!"
The crowd started cheering as Sora and Kairi, both dressed up from Kingdom Hearts 2, ran up and started attacking Riku, waking up from his slumber. Sora was short and had brown eyes with no chest whatsoever, I immediately recognized her as Kid. Kairi seemed to be Lucy, I remembered her as the blonde one. I didn't know who was playing Riku, the name announced was Gray? It didn't look like the football player or Laxus so it had to be someone in the club I didn't know.
"Wake up!"
"Wake up!"
The crowd started to settle down as we watched the performance.
"This better be freakin' important, has Destiny Island disappeared again?" Riku asked irritated.
"No Riku, we found a map to Candy Mountain Riku!" Kid cheered jumping up and down.
I chuckled.
"Yeah Riku! We're going to Candy Mountain! Come with us Riku." Kairi said.
"Yeah Riku it'll be an adventure, we're going on an adventure! Riku!" Kid cheered.
"Yeah. Candy Mountain right… I'm just gonna go back to sleep now." Riku said lying back down.
"No Riku! You have to come with us to Candy Mountain!" Sora said pushing him.
"Yeah Riku, Candy Mountain… It's a land of sweets and joy and joyness!"
I started chuckled along with many others as Sora attacked Riku.
"Candy Mountain Riku!"
"Yeah, Candy Mountian!"
Sora and Kairi started to double team the hell out of Riku.
"Alright fine! I'll go with you to Candy Mountain!" Riku yelled finally giving in.
Sora and Kairi cheered and the two of them started skipping off, singing a song.
"Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight, it's hard to let it go." They sang.
Funny. Riku looked pissed as Sora and Kairi faked walked through a forest with him. Ah man, they should have gotten Freed to be Riku. Now he would have been the best-
"AH!" Riku yelled.
All of a sudden a Pikachu came out of nowhere and I started dying in my seat. Nope, never mind! Freed dressed up in a Pikachu outfit from head to toe, now that was funnier! I whipped out my camera and started taking pictures. I hope to God Mira was watching this somewhere, this was too good to miss.
"Our first stop is over there Riku!" Sora cheered.
"Oh God, what the hell is that?" Riku asked.
"It's a magical leoplurodon Riku!"
"A magical leoplurodon."
"What are you guys talking about? It's a freakin' Pikachu!" Riku yelled.
I started laughing as Freed started walking around, shaking his tail and yelling, "PIKA! PIKA!"
"It's gonna guide our way to Candy Mountain!" Sora said.
"Alright guys you do know that there is no actual Candy Mountain right?" Riku asked.
"SHUN THE NON-BELIEVER!" Kid called out.
"SHHHHHHUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!" I said with almost everyone else in the building, including Freed Pikachu.
"Pika, pika, Pikachu!" Freed said before leaving the stage.
"It has spoken!" Sora said.
"It has told us the way!" Kairi cheered.
"It didn't say anything!" Riku yelled.
The three of them started fake walking and soon a prop came onto stage of a candy looking mountain with a door.
"We're here!" Sora and Kairi cheered.
"Well what do ya know? There's actually a Candy Mountain! But hey guys, that kind of looks like the door of light to me." Riku said.
"No Riku! That's Candy Mountain!" Kairi said.
"Candy Mountain! Candy Mountain… You fill me with sweet sugary goodness!" Kid sang and I chuckled.
"Go inside the Candy Mountain Cave Riku." Kairi said.
"Yeah Riku! Go inside the cave. Magical wonders are to behold when you enter." Kid said as Kairi pushed him in.
"Uh yeah, thanks but no thanks. I'm gunna just stay out here. I've been in the dark realm before guys."
"But you have to enter the Candy Mountain Candy Cave Riku!" Kairi said pushing him in.
The music started playing and everyone started cheering, a guy dressed up as Axel running on to stage and started dancing. Pikachu joined soon and they all started dancing in circles around Riku, who just pouted and glared. I cheered along with everyone else and started clapping my hands.
Oh when you're down and you're looking for some cheering up then just head right on up to the candy mountain cave! When you get inside you find yourself a cheery land such a happy and joy filled and perky merry land! They've got lollipops and gummidrops and candy things! Oh so many things that will brighten up your day! It's impossible to wear a frown in candy town it's the mecca of lovely candy cave! They've got jellybeans and coconut with little hats! Candy rats, chocolate bats, it's a wonderland of sweets! Buy the candy train to town and hear the candy band! Candy bells, it's a treat, as they march across the land! Cherry ribbon stream across the sky and to the ground! Turn around, it astounds, it's a dancing candy treat! In the candy cave imagination runs so free!
They all looked so happy dancing around and even Riku, though he was supposed to be pissed, was smiling as he covered his ears with his hands. The song ended and everyone cheered as Pikachu disappeared from stage.
"What the hell was that?!" Riku yelled.
"Lighten up Riku." Axel said walking around the door.
"Alright fine! I'll go into the freakin' Candy Cave! This better be good!" Riku stomped walking over.
"Goodbye Riku!" Sora waved.
"Yeah, Goodbye Riku!" Kairi waved.
"Goodbye… What?! HEY WHATS GOING ON HERE!?"
Riku got pushed by Sora and grabbed by Axel, sinister music playing before the lights turned off. When it turned back on all we could see was Riku lying on the floor.
"Ow…Oh god. What the hell happened? Argh! They took my freakin' heart!" Riku said opening up his jacket.
And there, on his chest, was the heartless symbol. Amazing. Best festival I've been to ever, hands down.I started cheering with the rest of the crowd as the lights turned off and the curtain closed.
"Wow." I said out loud.
"Stop copying what I was going to say." Jellal said next to me.
I didn't even respond, I was still dumbstruck by how actually well thought out and amazing that skit was. The crowd didn't die down anytime soon and the class president had to come outside and calm them. I knew how everyone else was feeling though. No one had expected that from the anime club, no one had expected anything. They didn't know about AAA, and if it wasn't for their booth and promoting their skit, then no one would have probably came to see them. They did come though, because how could you refuse cute girls asking sweetly in Pikachu outfits? Not thinking much and suddenly getting blown away? Of course no one was calming down, we were all still in shock from how good that was.
"Alright, alright. Now that something, I hope someone recorded that skit!" He laughed, "Anyways, they have one more up. This next skit is called Sha La Head Sha La and will have Natsu Dragneel as Goku and Laxus Dreyar as Vegeta. Let's watch, shall we?" He asked leaving the stage.
"So they were going to do a battle scene." Jellal mumbled.
The stage lights turned on and you saw Natsu, blonde spikey wig on, and Laxus, his hair just more spikey than usual, walking onto the stage. The two of them stared at each other and Dragon Ball music started playing in the background, the music they always played when the two opponents stared each other off before the big fight scene.
"This ends today Kakarot." Laxus said.
"Whatever you say Vegeta." Natsu said in a lay back tone.
One moment they were staring at each other and the next, they were at it. Every punch, hit, and kick looked coordinated. I knew it must have been because the sound effects from the show was being played every time a hit was made or a punch was dodged. They moved around the stage, ducking and dodging, kicking and punching, fighting each other with game faces on. Something must have happened though because one punch was off, then another, then soon the sound effects didn't match the punches happening in real life.
Laxus looked irritated while Natsu looked made as hell and soon Laxus made a hit directly in Natsu's face. His nose started bleeding, and I was pretty sure that wasn't fake blood. This wasn't a pretend fight anymore.
"They're really fighting." I watched as Natsu, Goku, tackled Vegeta.
This- this was brutal and amazing. They were really fighting and no one was stopping them, everyone else probably thought that this was all planned out. The sound effects stopped and I could hear the sound of the real punches as they swiped at each other.
"Damn you Kakarot!" Laxus yelled.
"Shut up Lax- Vegeta!" Natsu yelled.
He messed up, I noticed. Natsu finally got a good hit at Laxus and brought him down, straddling him as he punched at his head. Laxus blocked and tried to throw him off, but wasn't able to shake him. This fight was getting good, real good, of course it had to end right when everyone was at the edge of their seats, trying to figure out who would win. This wasn't a cartoon fight anymore, this was a real life fight. A fight between Natsu Dragneel and Laxus Dreyar. It was a fight everyone wanted to know the winner too.
"VEGETA!"
"GOKU!"
Bulma and Chi-Chi, I wasn't sure who Bulma was but Chi-Chi was definitely Lucy, walked onto stage with their arms on their hips. Natsu and Laxus didn't even seem to notice them. Bulma and Chi-Chi growled as they walked over and slammed their fists on their heads.
"OW!" The two saiyans yelled.
"DINNER'S READY!" The two wives recited, grabbing their ears.
"OUCH! THAT REALLY HURTS! STOP IT LUCE, I MEAN CHI-CHI!" Natsu yelled following after.
"DAMMIT WOMEN! I WAS WINNING!" Laxus growled following Bulma out.
Some people laughed, most of them awed though since the fight ended. Everyone from the anime club walked out after that and held hands, bowing at the audience. I stood up, along with many others, and started clapping my hands for them.
"All About Anime Club people! Give it up!"
"I can't believe I enjoyed that." Jellal said.
I snorted.
"I can't believe everyone else enjoyed that."
The first floor of the school was completely empty by night time, everyone outside probably watching the fireworks. I walked down the halls to the anime club room, planning on talking to Kid and congratulating her. She had really outdone herself before, way out of what I had expected. I didn't think it was going to be that well, even I couldn't have planned something that well. I only saw one person walking down the hall as turned to walk down it. I watched him as he walked passed me, staring at his back before shrugging and walking up to the room.
My hand reached out for the door but I paused, peeking inside. They were celebrating, cheering, laughing with each other and partying. This was the second time I saw Laxus smile and the first time I saw Freed smiling not because of Laxus. This was their moment. Their club was saved. I didn't feel like intruding, this seemed like a members only party. I started walking down the hallway again.
I'll come see the Kid another day, she deserved to be happy right now.
