Meredith continued to cry in the dark hallway. She couldn't get over what had happened. The room was still spinning and she couldn't get a good enough grip on her emotions. She could've been killed. They could've caught her.

And that woman. The woman who's blood she was now covered in. Oh, gosh she should probably wash this off. the thing that really caught her was the face. That face was forever burned into her brain. The red hair, matted with blood. Those blue eyes, piercing through her very soul. How she had no one around to her help her. Then, it seeped in. It was her. That woman, it was her. It looked just like her. Dressed just like her.

Was alone just like her.

No. It couldn't have been a hallucination, could it? It was so real. And if it wasn't, how did she end up in the arms of-

Suddenly, she was back in the alley. The greasy face greeting her held a devious smile. There were hands on her everywhere and she couldn't break free. The cold pavement on her back was horrible and only made the memory worse. The cold press of metal pressed on her throat and she could feel her world tearing apart, as her skin was.

*BEEPBEEPBEEP*

Meredith jerked awake. She soon regretted it by the pounding in her head. She looked around her with hazy eyes and realized she was on the floor of what looked like the guest bedroom in Rick's apartment. But how- when did- how in the-?

"Oh God, what happened last night."

"You came to my door in a drunken haze and passed out on my fiance." Meredith looked up to see a very agitated looking Richard Castle standing in the doorway.

"What? Who?"

"You. You came here last night interrupted a very intimate moment with me and Kate then proceeded to sob and cry all over her until you fell asleep and she had to carry you up to the guestroom.

"Richard I-"

"No. You know what? Save it! It's bad enough you've basically demolished your relationship with your daughter. Now your dragging everyone through the muck with you?!"

"Rick-"

"NO. I think you should leave and not come back. I already apologized to Beckett for you and she's at work so she won't have the displeasure of talking to you."

Meredith, with a heavy heart, got up and got dressed in something Rick had gotten her. She grabbed her things and stepped out the door.

"I really am sorry Rick."

"Yeah, yeah yeah."

Meredith stood in the hall shell shocked. Thus was in no way the stay she had had in mind. Her family shoved her out and she had to take it up with the one person that was at fault. She grabbed a taxi outside of the building.

"Where to?"

"12th Precinct."

This chapter is just a filler. I'll be ending this fic in the next chapter or one after depending on the reactions I get.

Finally, the next chapter will be the big and long awaited "knock some sense" talk for Meredith.
