Chapter 13

Is Claire okay?

Shane's P.O.V.

So the waiting game begins. I can't believe this happened. I'm so pissed right now. Claire knew better then to put herself in a stressful position. I just need to remain calm. Damn doctors taking forever. I wish they would come and let me know what's happening with Claire and my babies. I hate this waiting bullshit. What if something happened to the babies? What if something happened to Claire? God that thought made my stomach turn. I can't lose her.

I was pacing the floor back and forth waiting for some news. How long can it seriously take? I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice Michael come in until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey man, how is she?" he asked

"I don't know. They haven't come out yet?"

He put his hand on my shoulder "She'll be okay bro. Claire's strong."

"I hope so"

I hadn't even notice Eve come up to us until she spoke. "Hey is she okay?"

I just shrug and turn back to pacing. I know I hurt her feeling, I could tell by the look on her face but I didn't care. Michael took a seat on the opposite side from her. Eve sat down and started crying. We were going to tell them tonight about buying a house and moving, but that can wait. Right now my only concerns are my baby and son and daughter.

Two hours, two fucking hours. I wish someone would let me know what's happing. The waiting is brutal. I just want to know what's happening to my family. About another 15 minutes of pacing we finally got the news.

Claire's doctor approached us. It was her doctor that has been treating her for her pregnancy.

"How is she? How are my babies?" I asked her

"Claire is extremely stressed. Which caused her to faint and start having preterm contractions. Both babies are doing ok but she's hooked up to an ultra sound machine to keep an eye on them. One of the babies went into disstress but we finally got him stable enough. We thought we has lost him but both babies are doing okay. His disstress is what caused Claire to go into preterm labor. We did manage to stop the contractions but from here on out I want her on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy."

I can't believe this Claire went into preterm labor. I nearly lost my son. Thankfully they were able to help all of them.

"So they're okay?"

"Yes. She's asleep now, but you can go see her. But only one person in the room. I want to keep her comfortable and rest as much as possible. She's been through a lot in the last couple of hours."

"Thank you doctor." I turned and started to run down the hall

"Room 337" I heard her shout after me.

I got outside the room and slowly opened the door. When I walked in Claire was sound asleep hooked up to wires and an ultra sound machine. I looked at the screen and saw my babies on there. I sat in the chair next to Claire's bed and took her hand. She stirred and fluttered he eyes open. She looked around and met my eyes.

"Shane?"

"Hey baby"

"What happened?" she asked me

"You fainted back at the house from all the stress and went into preterm labor. One of the babies went into disstress but they got him stable for now. They have you hooked up to an ultra sound machine to keep an eye on them." I noticed she had let a few tears loose. "You know I should be mad at you for fighting with Eve and causing stress on yourself and the babies. But I'm just glad you're ok."

She really started to cry then "Shane I'm so sorry. All I wanted to do was talk and it just excalated. Please don't be mad. Please forgive." Her crying got harder

I got up and sat on the bed next her taking her into my arms. "Shh, it's okay baby. I'm not mad anymore. See the babies are fine" I nodded toward the screen. "Just no more stress ok? Next week we'll be in our house and you can get plenty of rest. We can work on the nurseries together. Everything will fine. But the doctor has put you on best rest for the remainder of your pregnancy." I knew she wasn't going to be happy about that but she'll have to get use to it.

She nodded her and stopped crying. I leaned in gave her kiss. With that I layed with her and she soon fell asleep with me stroking her hair. Hopefully things will get better and all the fighting and stress will stop. I soon drifted to sleep with my angel in my arms.

Okay guys I know I said they would be breaking the news of moving to Michael in this chapter but it will be in the next chapter. Then after I will be doing a time skip. Please review.
