Chapter 12: A Stranger I remain
Authors Note: Alright I have made a decision that this story will just continue the whole story line up to number 11 so with that out of the way let us begin!
"Who's Tirek?" Rage asks Twilight and Celestia as Luna wakes up
"What happened?" she asks and the three look at her before Celestia runs over and hugs her,
"Oh Luna you're alright!" she says
"What happened?" Luna asks again "did I do something?"
"Do you not remember the pony who forced you to cause an unnatural Solar Eclipse?" Twilight asks
"Y-yeah the last thing I remember is the discussion with Rage." Luna says "d-did you save me?" she asks looking at him and he nods.
"Yeah, but I want to know who Tirek is and why him being back is so bad?"
"Wait he has returned again? Free from Tartarus?" Luna asks and she is met with nods
"Tirek comes from lands far away from Equestria. He came here in hopes to take the magic and powers of the ponies in the land, first time we sent him to Tartarus before any collateral damage was done. Seconds Princess Twilight and her friends stopped him even after he absorbed all the power in Equestria... but now he has broken out again..." Celestia says "And no doubt this time he will succeed..."
"Yeah but Tirek knows only of four Alicorns in Equestria I don't think he would even know a hint as to who Rage here is." Twilight says "And besides we know his plan so why not stop him now?"
"But question is how much has he taken by now?" Rage replies
"What do you mean? If Cerberus just told us it must have just happened!" Celestia says but Rage shakes his head
"Not exactly the flow of time is different from world to world for all we know Tirek could have been here for weeks or more before Cerberus could make it here. He has no good way of multiworld travel so he has to rely on the Dimensional Strings that tie all the universes together which then he must search for the right version of the world and the right location in time-space." Rage says and looks at the others who all but Twilight were giving him blank stares
"In English?" Celestia asks
"Simply put in order to get here he had to climb a metaphorical tree that has all possible versions of Equestria branching out then find the metaphorical apple that brought him here." Twilight says and the others look with more understanding for what happened as Twilight turns to Rage "Wow Rage I had no idea you knew so much about Quantum Physics and Quantum Mechanics!" she says
"Well when you've stayed with my friend Miles 'Tails' Prower for months on end while your home is being rebuilt then you will know where I come from." Rage replies with a chuckle
"This matter is serious if Tirek has been here for a while he could be ready to take Alicorn magic!" Luna says
"Yeah, but besides him not knowing of me I have another trick up my sleeve... one he can't take away." Rage smirks with a devious grin holding out a Chaos Emerald in his hoof
"Ah yes Rage how could I forget you have your Chaos abilities" Celestia replies "Twilight, Luna, Cadence and I have somethings we need to discuss. As for you Rage," Celestia then hands Rage what looked like a pendant that was glowing brightly "Take this and go back to Ponyville with the others."
"A... pendant?" Rage looks at her questioning why she gave him a pendant
"Not just any pendant." Luna says "That pendant detects the enery of Alicorn Magic and if it stops glowing it mean Tirek has gotten ours if that happens Rage you must return to Canterlot and fight him."
"Alright you can count on me." Rage says as he and the other five return to Ponyville
Rage walks into The Palace of Friendship and Spike looks at him "Where Twilight Rage?" he asks
"Well she and the other princesses have some private matters to discuss so they sent me home." Rage replies "She should return soon."
"Alright." Spike says before noticing the glowing pendant "Hay that's neat where did you get it?"
"It was a gift." Rage lies and Spike nods in response before returning to his sweeping. Rage walks up the stairs to the bedrooms and enters his before putting the pendant on the desk next to his research as he puts a rock on the table and focus's his magic. Slowly the rock glows as Rage focuses...
"Hay Rage." Lunar Relic says knocking on the door making Rage loose his concentration which in turn caused the rock stops glowing and a spark backfire and hit Rage knocking him out of his chair. "Ph my are you okay?" Lunar Relic asks running to his side "I had no idea."
"It's okay." Rage says his eye spinning a bit before he sakes his head "Trust me I've been through worse." he chuckles "now what do you need Lunar?"
"Well I needed to know where Twilight is." Lunar replies
"She and the other Princesses had some private matters to discuss and directed me to return home." Rage says
"huh..." Lunar says "Sorry to bother you." he says leaving
Meanwhile in Canterlot...
"So the Crystal Ponies have lost their power?" Celestia asks and Cadence nods
"Unicorn magic has depleted as well." Luna says
"Earth Pony and Pegasi are reporting loss of powers to.. Tirek has them all...but ours." Twilight says as the ground rumbles
"Not for long!" Cadence gasps and Triek breaks through the wall next to the door.
"Hello old friends it has been a while..." he chuckles "And this time all in one place this should be quick." he laughs opening his mouth to take their magic, after doing so he looks around feeling off "Wait... something is wrong here..."he says looking at the for "I have all of your powers! So Why do I still feel like something else is missing!" he roars
"You may just be getting too old..." Celestia smirks
"Silence!" Tirek yells
Meanwhile at the Palace of Friendship Rage looks at the pendant which began loosing it's glow and his eyes shrunk. "Time to go!" he says flying out of the window in his room.
Back at the castle Tirek was walking down the row of stain glass windows looking at them for any sign of a fifth Alicorn. Soon he comes across one of Burning Rage with the Chaos Emeralds bordering the glass. "A FIFTH!" Tirek yells "YOU HAVE A FIFTH ALICORN PRINCESS?!"
"No we don't..." Luna says
"He's a prince." Twilight coughs "And he will stop you!"
"With what I have all your power! He is no match for me!" Tirek laughs
"Care to put your money where your mouth is?" Rage's voice comes from nowhere as Tirek shoots his head around to see Rage standing in the hole from Tirek's entrance "You know there is a thing called doors right?"
"Humorous..." Tirek smirks "Burning Rage I presume?" he asks him
"I am going to take a shot in the dark and say that you are Tirek?" Rage replies
"So you think you can defeat me?" Tirek asks "When I have the power of millions of ponies, Unicorns and Pegasi plus your four Alicorn pals!"
"Why don't you come find out my devil wannabe friend." Rage responds with toothy smile
"I will wipe that grin off your face!" Tirek yells as he fires a beam of magic at Rage who avoids it in a split second with a warp. He then appeared again and Tirek shot again. Then again, and again...and again each time Rage would land in a pose to taunt Tirek only making him more angry. Then Rage appears on his head between his horns,
"You're not too good at this are you?" he asks
"Grrr!" Tirek growls as he grabs Rage in an energy ball "Ha ha ha!" he laughs "Now your magic will be mine as well!" he opens his mouth
"Dude ever heard of a breath mint?" Rage asks not feeling the pain that was supposed to come from the draining. But he felt it weaken him the point he couldn't stand and collapsed when he hit the ground
"Now...I have all the powers in Equestria!" Tirek laughs "Now there is nothing anypony can do to stop me!" Tirek looks at the Alicorns and turns to leave

"I'm not done with you yet..." Rage says getting up
Tirek turns around to look at him "What do you mean I have your Magic! What do you plan to do?" he asks with a amused chuckle at his bravado
"this..." Rage smirks as he summons the Chaos Emeralds,
"What are those going to do? Tirek laughs as it it were a joke
"This!" Rage yells as the Chaos Emeralds glow blinding everypony with the light.
"What just happened?!" Tirek asks as he looks to see Rage floating just off the ground a pure white Alicorn taller the Celestia, with a flashing mane of seven colors and bright red eyes, he was Ultima Chaos Rage!
"It's time to end this!" Ultima Chaos Rage smirks as he moves so fast with a kick Tirek didn't even see him appear by his face and it felt like nothing even hit him.
"Your little rodent!" he growls but Rage was uable to hear it as he was flying too fast swinging around and ramming Tirek causing him to fly out of the Castle and on the the fields bellow, "Ugh... what source of power is this?" he asks as Ultima Rage lands across the field "No matter..." he chuckles grabbing the now white Alicorn, "You have do this for naught as your power will still be mine!" he laughs opening his mouth but nothing happened,Tirek looks at Rage confused "What Why cant I take your powers?!" he screams
"One does not simply steal The Power of Chaos from the Chaos Guardian!" Rage chuckles "It has been fun but I am afraid it is time to end this... good bye." he smirks glowing with energy "Ultima...Chaos...BLAST!" he yells forming a large blast of energy making the energy Tirek stole return and for him to be chained up and locked in a full metal box back in Tartarus. "Game over Tirek!" Rage chuckles powering back down to his normal form as his horn glows with his now restored Alicorn Magic.
"You did it Rage!" Twilight says coming down from the hole in the castle where Rage smashTirek through and giving Rage a friendly hug soon the the other princesses follow.
"Well done Rage." Luna says
"You have saved us all!" Cadence smiles
"You have saved Equestria again and for that Rage, you are a true hero!" Celestia says
(Music stop)
"I'm no hero." Rage says making the others look at him "Heroes do it for the fame... the fortune...the recognition... me? I do it for no reward but to protect others... one I am either entitled to or choose to.. I prefer the term Guardian... but alas it is what makes me a Stranger no matter where I go and what it is like... people like me are rare especially ones who do it their whole lives... so a hero? No not me."
"Wow Rage is that true?" Twilight asks and he nods
"I don't want the fame...the fortune...the recognition... the smiles of those around letting me know they are safe is enough of a reward for me." Rage says walking back to Ponyville "I need some sleep, I will
see you guys later." he says before he disappears over the hilltop.
