here's another chapter finally back into this writing game should see more updates to come in the future.

Half an hour later and Stephanie had finally cuddled Aurora back to sleep; entering her bedroom she stifled a yawn as she walked back over to the bed and climbed in. Paul thought about making a smart comment when she yawned but thought better of it he didn't want to push his luck when he'd made so much progress.
Finally feeling comfortable she rolled onto her side and buried her head the sheets as she yawned again, turning his head to look at he smiled softly "someone's sleepy" closing her eyes she nodded her head "very sleepy…sorry" Paul couldn't blame her really she had been constantly on the go since he knew her and he knew a well-deserved lie-in in the morning is what she would appreciate the most "don't apologise just go to sleep" he brushed some hair away from her face and switched off the TV so she could sleep in peace, when she heard the silence in the room she smiled and hoped that maybe he would cuddle her just like he used to. Paul laid there watching her sleep, he felt an overwhelming love for the woman laid beside him, he was going to continue from now on showing her just how much she meant to him.
As Dawn broke and the sun began to rise Paul slowly began to wake, he could feel something heavy draped over him so opened his eyes to find a sleeping Stephanie, her head was laid against his chest with an arm and a leg draped over his body, well she may not be saying how she feels about giving him another chance but her body language was giving her away, he wasn't complaining though he happily laid there and let her sleep and that was how he would stay, at least until aurora woke up.
After falling asleep again with Stephanie snuggled close to him he felt a gentle tug on his arm, lifting his arm up he rubbed at his eyes and looked round, his eyes soon fell up on a not so awake aurora, she lifted her arms up obviously wanting to cuddle as she woke up more gently removing his arm from under steph her carefully reached down and picked Aurora up laying her on his chest whilst she woke up.
Paul had vacated the bedroom over an hour ago and was now in the kitchen preparing breakfast for aurora, she had chosen egg and soldiers so he began to cook the eggs whilst the bread was is in the toaster. With aurora now sat at the table eating her breakfast he started on his own. Walking over to the fridge he took some eggs along with some other foods that he could mix together to make up an omelette, He began chopping up mushrooms and peppers before cracking a few eggs so he wall prepared, turning around before he started cooking it all he looked over at aurora "everything ok over there princess" looking up from her plate she nodded and pointed at the TV up on the wall "you want cartoons on" Paul asked as he searched round for the TV remote, spotting it on the side he picked it up and turned it on "DISNEY!" aurora shouted getting rather excited Paul shook his head "quite please we don't want to wake mommy up" with aurora now fully occupied Paul continued with making his own breakfast.
With them both now fed he took aurora upstairs to get her dressed and ready for the day , he would get himself ready once he had made Steph's breakfast and took it upstairs to wake her up.
An hour later and they were back downstairs, Paul was almost done making Steph's breakfast and aurora was in her toy room playing nicely. Paul took out a plate and some cutlery placing it on a tray, he then found the cupboard where all the glasses were and poured out a glass of orange juice and placed that on the tray too. Standing back Paul looked at the little set up and smiled to himself he knew for sure she would love this and he was sure it would earn him some brownie points too, walking back over to the cooker Paul checked the omelette and made sure it was cooked just how he remembered she liked it, he managed to place it on the plate whole and for added cuteness he cut out a heart shape in the middle, with everything ready he looked up at the clock and smiled it was almost 10 o clock and he was sure she'd still be a sleep, he walked to the bottom of the stairs and as quite as he could called aurora to him and she soon came running at the sound of her name.
Stopping dead in front of her dead she looked up and smiled "I here daddy"
"Are you ready to help me wake mummy up and give her breakfast in bed?"
"Ready!" she exclaimed very excitedly as she began to climb the stairs.
Paul followed behind her making sure she didn't fall as she hurriedly climbed the stairs. Paul took hold of auroras hand before she even had chance to burst in the room with excitement reaching the door he bent down and whispered " you have to be very quiet and wait at the side of the bed whilst Mommy wakes up ok" the little girl nodded her head zipped her mouth shut Paul chuckled to himself quietly and entered the room, he placed the tray on top of the draws before he climbed on to the bed and sat beside, she currently had her face buried into his pillow, Paul placed his hand on her back and rubbed it gently as he leaned his face in "Steph baby, it's time to wake up" lifting his head back up he waited to see if he got reply, with no answer he leaned in again moving the hair from her face he placed a gentle kiss to her lips.
"Hmmmmmmm" was the response he heard as she rolled on her back and rubbed at her face, leaning in a second time he was able to kiss her easier "Morning gorgeous".
She smiled and finally opened her eyes she looked around the room before opening her arms in his direction he happily obliged and placed his hands either side of her as she pulled him in "I could get use to that alarm" it was a pleasant surprise to be woken up like that, she was usually awoken by her daughter clambering on top of her wanting food.
"oh I don't mind waking you up like that every morning at all" he chuckled and she playfully nudged at his shoulder as he pulled away "your playful demeanour clearly hasn't changed" Paul shook his head "not at all, we come bearing gifts though" Stephanie's eyebrows raised "who's we?" Paul smiled and climbed off the bed picking aurora up he placed her between them both "me and our daughter of course" aurora crawled over and laid her head on Stephanie's chest "Hi momma" she sweetly Stephanie smiled and held her close "hi baby girl, so where are my gifts" aurora suddenly sat and point in her father direction, Paul took the tray off the side and presented her breakfast "let mommy sit up baby" aurora did as she was asked and allowed Stephanie to sit up right so he could place the tray on her lap.
Looking at the tray and the heart cut out in the omelette she smiled brightly and looked up at him "how long exactly have you been up, aurora's dressed and I'm guessing you've both eaten" Paul nodded his head "I was awake before aurora and had your beautiful self-snuggled up to me, so I enjoyed the moment and fell back to sleep, until aurora was up at the crack of dawn literally, so I took her down as I knew you'd appreciate the extra sleep."
Stephanie nodded her head "I very much appreciated the extra sleep thank you, and I appreciate this breakfast, thank you. what time is it anyway?" Paul looked over at the clock "10 o clock, and no 'thank you' is needed, I did it because I wanted to and because you deserve it after everything."
Stephanie smiled softly as she sat there eating her breakfast. She definitely wasn't expecting breakfast in bed or for him to have got up so early with aurora, it was a refreshing change and she really did need the extra sleep, she felt so fresh and ready for the day. "Is there anything you want to do, today?"
"I was thinking we could go out for the day; maybe take this one to a park or something?" Paul really wasn't fussed about what they did; he just wanted to spend as much time with them as possible, "that would be nice to get out for a bit, maybe tire her out little" Stephanie chuckled "she might actually sleep in then."
After eating breakfast both Stephanie and Paul and took it in turn getting ready whilst the other watched aurora, I between all of that Paul made decided to take the opportunity to make a quick phone call.
Paul sat down in Stephanie's office and scrolled through his phone, coming to the name he clicked call and hoped for an answer.
Vince was just on his way back from a meeting when his cell phone started buzzing in his hand looking at them on the screen he shook his head "what has that man done now" entering his office Vince closed the door behind him and answered the phone "What did you do now Paul?"
Paul was just about to hang up when he heard Vince's Voice "it's not what I did, it's what you could possibly do for me" he might have known Vince would think he'd blown it again, but he was hoping Vince or Linda, or hopefully the both of them would be able to take Aurora Friday till they came back from this little get away Paul had decided to plan.
"And what is this something you're hoping I can help you with?"
Paul chuckled "how would you like to have your granddaughter for the weekend?
Vince frowned "I thought the whole point of you spending a week with steph and aurora was to make up for lost time and get back in my daughter's good books"
Paul rolled his eyes "yes it is, and by taking your Daughter away for the weekend is how I plan on truly finding the spark between us again"
Vince Laughed "finding the spark again…. Like that will take long, But yes if it helps you out we would love to have aurora for the weekend, just text me the time you'll be bringing her"
Now all he needed to do we book the hotel "Thank you Vince, I certainly will"
Both men hung up the phone and just in time as Paul could hear Stephanie calling for him so the hotel would have to wait till later.
Stephanie entered the Kitchen with aurora following closely behind her, she was wondering if maybe they should take some food along with them to the Park and maybe have somewhat of a little picnic.
Leaving the office Paul walked down hall and sneakily approached the kitchen as he heard noises coming from there, aurora saw her dad coming but Paul quickly placed a finger to his hoping she would know to stay quiet, the little girl nodded her head allowing Paul to sneak up behind Stephanie who was stood at the fridge, he slowly slid his arms around her waist and placed a gentle kiss to her neck.
Stephanie was so distracted looking through what they had in the fridge she failed to see or hear Paul come up behind her, she jumped a mile when she felt some ones arms snake around her waist and then she felt lips on her neck turning around in his arms as she shut the fridge she smacked his chest "you scared me half to death then" Paul laughed a little at her reaction then he could hear aurora giggling behind them which caused him to laugh even more. Stephanie shook her head "you guys are so mean right now" Paul pulled her a little closer "sorry babe" looking into his eyes a slight smirk appeared on her face "yea you better be" he nodded his head and ran his hands up and down her back, "so who wants to go to the park?" hearing the word Park leave her father's mouth aurora ran to her parents side "I dos daddy" Paul chuckled "I thought you might, let's go and get your shoes then" aurora quickly ran off towards where there shoes were kept removing his arms from aurora Stephanie he went to walk away but she took hold of the hand closest to her and pulled him back "can I get another kiss before you go get her ready" Paul smiled "you can get as many kisses as you want" he leant in and kissed her softly on the lips a few times before he eventually went to help his daughter get ready for the park.
The three of them spent the entire afternoon at the park, Stephanie watched on as Paul would chase aurora all over the place making her giggle uncontrollably, they stopped briefly to eat, but it didn't take long before aurora was back at it, playing on the slides and the swings it was wonderful to watch and see her so happy, Paul had even got Stephanie in on the action as he even messed around chasing Stephanie about and playfully tackling her to the ground. Eventually they both just sat back and relaxed whilst they watched Aurora play; it was crazy to think she would be 3 soon she was already so grown up.
After a long afternoon at the Park enjoying some quality time together it wasn't long before Aurora started to get tired and cranky, they packed everything up in the car and made the drive back home.
As they pulled up on the drive Paul looked into the rear view mirror and chuckled to himself aurora was completely out of it in her car seat "I think it's safe to say we won't be hearing anything from her until morning" Stephanie unbuckled her own seat belt and looked over into the back, she smiled seeing her baby fast asleep she truly was an angel. Getting out of the car Paul looked over at steph "you want me to get her" steph shook her head and opened the back door, she carefully unbuckled aurora from her car seat and cradled her close as she waited for Paul so he could lock up the car and help get in the house.
Entering the house Paul locked the door and put the keys on the side, whilst Stephanie carried aurora up stairs to bed. With Stephanie out of ear shot Paul quickly booked a 2 night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel for the weekend, with everything now arranged he couldn't wait to just shower her with love.
