Hello people! Zack here! As usual, I give you a weekly update. I have been getting more flow of ideas. My writer's block has ended!
Mysterious Person: Oooh, I wonder who's going to be my partner?
Ash: You? I though you already have a very hair-gravity-defying partner?
Because, although I didn't have a poll, I decided who will be your partner.
Mysterious Pokemon: ZACK! WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?! I won't do the story if I don't get my ketchup!
WILL ALL YOU SHUT UP! Pika—AW Gosh dang it! WHY?! WHY?! Guess you know now, the mysterious pokemon is Pikachu. Pikachu, your ketchup is in the fridge.
Pikachu: Good And thanks.
Uggh, I'm bored. So now here we go. *Ash get's turned into Latios, Mysterious Person get's teleported to some random Obliviashipping fanfiction*
Rythmi: Why? NOW DOES THIS BECOME A POKEPHILIA OR TRANSFORMATION STORY?!
It isn't.

Kate: On with the fanfiction.
Kellyn: Kate… Not you too!
Partners Pokemon or Person?
We join our heroes on their final day on the road to Vermillion. With every step towards Ash's new partner, is another towards Misty's time traveling with our Ranger protagonist. Who is our hero going to encounter? Who is his partner? The answers will be revealed in this chapter.
"Hey Misty, what are you going to do after we reach Vermillion?"
"Well, I do have an idea, I was hoping to call my sisters to take over the gym, I thought I might just travel any water gym leader's dream, travel and sightsee the Orange Islands," Misty admitted, although there was a bit of sadness in her voice. A light pink invaded her cheeks as she gazed over at Ash.
"PIIIKAAACHUUUU!" a pokemon cried. Suddenly the sky was lit up by a large beam of electricity that glowed a bright yellow.
"Misty, stay here! There might be poachers, the pokemon might get scared and I need to calm it down," Ash commanded.
"No! I'm a gym leader, I can handle myself, besides you'll need help dealing with the poachers," Misty demanded.
"Fine, but you need to do as I say. If the pokemon is terrified or agitated I need to capture it, you deal with the poacher," Ash instructed. Hopefully they would get there on time to save the pokemon.
They ran towards the ever growing skyscraper of electricity, both Gym Leader and Ranger hoping that they would reach the pokemon. They saw a break in the trees that led to a clearing, with a Pikachu fleeing and a giant Meowth chasing it?
"Ash look! Those people are trying to steal that Pikachu! Look at the Meowth's eyes! It's a windshield!" Misty observed.
"Oh no, not them again… Why does it always have to be Team Rocket?" Ash groaned, why must it always be him that has to deal with these baffons?
Ash ran in front of the Meowth machine, the Pikachu cowering behind the yound ranger.
"Team Rocket! Leave this Pikachu alone!" Ash commanded, this was getting annoying very fast. That stupid motto better not make an appearance or else he will catch these three and send them away forever so he doesn't have to deal with them.
Listen, is that a voice I hear?
It speaks to me loud and clear!
On the wind, past the stars, in your ear!
Team Rocket, beating twerpy Rangers at a Break-neck pace!
Dashing all hope putting fear in it's place!
A rose by any other name is just as sweet.
When we're done our work is complete!
Jessie!

Meowth now dat's a name!
Putting the do-gooders in their place.
Team Rocket! IN your face!
"Team Rocket! You're not getting this Pikachu!" Ash tested.
"hahaha, go Meeeoowwth Furry swips!" Meowth said. Suddenly, the mecha grew large scythes for claws and swiftly with the speed of Extremespeed with many swipes slashed at Ash and the Pikachu.
"Ash NO!" Misty screamed.
Ash crossed his arms and took the brunt of the attacks. Even though the scythes were dull, the slashes still hurt.
"Pikachu! Get out of here, GO! I'll be fine! Please!" Ash pleaded with the cowering Pikachu.
Pikachu looked curiously at this human. Other humans always tried to attack him to put him in one of those very uncomfortable ball things. This human took the attack for him, protecting him from danger. Pikachu decided that this human was worthy and kind enough to be it's… what were those human people called again? Oh! Trainer! Kind enough to be his trainer. But, why weren't those ball things on his belt? He has a fellow pokemon with him, but there aren't those ball things hanging around his waist. Instead there was this weird looking things that looked like one of those foldable 'cellphones' humans use to communicate with people over long distances. Either way, he knew that this human protected him, he would repay the favor.
"Riolu! Please help me out! Use Aura Sphere!" Ash commanded his little jackal pokemon.
"Rio!" with the battle cry, Riolu launched the Aura Sphere, but it did no damage!
"What!"
"Mwahahaha! This new Mega Mecha Meowth 9000 has full protection against all fighting-type based attacks!" James, the blue haired weirdo, informed.
"PIIIIIKAAAAACHUUUUUUUU!" all of a sudden, without warning, the little electric mouse shot a Thundershock that could rival a Thunder of a Zapdos at the machine, causing the mecha and it's inhabitants were electrocuted. Effectively causing an explosion that sent the trio packing.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" ding
"Phew! Now that is over with, you can go home now Pikachu," Ash told the tiny, little mouse pokemon.
The Pikachu shook it's head 'no' and started to affectionately rub against the ebony-haired ranger's leg.
"So Pikachu, do you want to become my partner pokemon?" Ash told him.
The Pikachu tilted its head in confusion. Partner pokemon? Wasn't this human going to put him in those ball things.
"Hmm. I'm a Pokemon Ranger, it's my job to make sure that peace is kept and that people and pokemon are protected. A partner pokemon is a ranger's partner. We don't use pokeballs, but our partners have a special item that makes it so that they can't be caputured," Ash informed the ever curious Pikachu.
The Pikachu nodded it's head, extremely pleased that it didn't have to go into a now known pokeball.
Riolu happily greeted his daddy's new friend and started to play with the Pikachu.
Ash and Misty continued to Vermillion. Ash asked Misty to get a room for three in the Pokemon Center while he picked up his partner.
'Voicemail! Voicemail! Ash here! Sarah, where and when is my new partner's ship going to dock?'
'Ash! Your new partner will arrive at dock 4 on the SS Booker (Guardain Signs players will get this) in about fifteen minutes, you should get there in about ten!' Sarah replied.
'Thanks! I'm leaving now,' Ash went to dock 4 and waited. When the sun was about to set a large ferry pulled into port, allowing it's passengers to disembark.
"Hello? Is there anyone here named Ash Ketchum? Hello?" a voice called out among the crowd.
"Over here!" Ash waved his arms in the air getting his new partner's attention.
The girl walked over to Ash. She had light brown hair that cascaded down near her face in bangs, she had light blue eyes, and was wearing what is an Almia Ranger School uniform?
"Ummm…Hi, my name is Summer Minami. I guess you are my partner?" The now known Summer said.
"Yep, come on, let's go to the Pokemon Center, my friend that has been traveling with me during my ahem 'patrol' is waiting, she got us rooms," Ash told her.
'She? I hope that friends is all they are, or else I won't be able to help my cousin's best friend Rythmi. I wonder how cousin Keith is doing? Wait, he said Pokemon Centere why there?'
"Pokemon Center? Aren't those for trainers? Why not go to the Ranger depot or base?" Summer asked.
"Well since we currently live in a region with more pokemon trainers than rangers, there aren't very many ranger depots on the account that trainers can usually protect themselves. So we rangers get free rooms in Pokemon Centers like trainers," Ash answered her question.
"Well then, last one there is a rotten eggxecute!" Summer challenged.
"It's on considering that you have no idea where it is!" Ash taunted.
"Well then, we'll just see if I don't know hm?" Summer smirked. "Ready set go!"
'Oh Ash, if your friend is more than just tha, Rythmi will be soooo disappointed. If only you knew her feelings for you…'
