A Darkloid's Code: Chapter 13

A/N: Well, the final chapter is here my friends… It was a good run, starting up this Fic and forcing myself to try and write it… I honestly do hope that you all enjoyed it.
Summary: After all they have been through, Protoman is finally able to welcome his twin girls into the world finally, everyone, more so Searchman, is quite relieved to see that things turned out alright in the end.
Searchman paced around the room in his copybot, it had been almost 5 hours since Protoman had gone into labor, and the Sharon navi was starting to grow anxious. Everyone who was on the mission was in the main hall at Scilab, though only a select few were allowed to use the spare copybots, due to the fact they were either too big for them, too rowdy, or they weren't trusted with them.
Megaman and Roll watched as the redhead paced around, not bothering to mention the crease he had made in the floor by that point. The blue Navi sighed and stood up, going over and tapping the older male on the shoulder, "Umm, Searchman? Are you alright? You've been pacing around for the past 3 and a half hours."
"Huh?" Searchman snapped out of his train of thought and looked down at Megaman with a small sigh, "In all honesty… I'm fairly nervous, Protoman may seem strong, but in reality, he is just like any of us, he is fragile beneath his outer layer." He explained, frowning lightly.
Chaud couldn't help but overhear the conversation, looking over to the two navis, "He'll be fine though… Dr. Hikari said that even if Protoman must deliver his twins naturally, he and his daughters will be safe." The duel haired boy stated and sat upright, crossing his arms.
"I wonder though… How will Protoman juggle being both a Netsavior and a mother at the same time?" Pride asked, looking over to the boy with a curious look.
Lan was quicker to speak up, trying to keep enthusiastic, "Well, he can always count on one of us to babysit for him! And besides that, some of the girls could even help out too! Like Roll, Medi, Ring and Iris!" he grinned, trying his best to ignore the glare that Colonel was giving him at the moment.
"I just wish that they would hurry up so that we can get going, it's already dark out…" Baryl huffed lightly and leaned back in his seat, fixing his jacket for what was probably the 11th time in the past hour.
Regal smirked lightly and looked over to his brother, "Don't seem too hurried Baryl, when you were born it took you almost 10 hours."
"Oh shut up!" The raven snapped and glared daggers at his brother.
Everyone in the room gave a light chuckle before Maylu spoke up, "Well if anything, it will be great to finally meet Protoman's children~ I bet they'll have a lot of their mother's features." She giggled and clasped her hands together.
"I have to agree with Maylu there, they will be so small and innocent." Jasmine couldn't help but rock back and forth in her seat a little in excitement.
Sean gave a light yawn and put his arms behind his head, looking around, "Man, I'd really hate to know what it'd feel like to be in labor, I bet it hurts pretty bad, having something living actually coming out of you through who knows where." The grey haired boy shuddered lightly at the thought.
Bass faked a gag at the explanation, a few other Navis cringing at the thought, "Sean, it would be best if you kept those thoughts to yourself preferably…" Colonel spoke up and shook his head lightly.
Searchman glared at Sean before noticing that Dr. Hikari had entered the room, almost immediately perking up, "Well?" he asked, waiting fairly impatiently for a response.
The scientist chuckled lightly, "Protoman is doing fine, he and his two daughters are here and safe." He announced with a calm voice.
Everyone in the room had spoken up at once with various congratulations and cheers filling the room, nobody could tell who was more relieved at this point, Chaud or Searchman, both being glad that Protoman was safe, but one because they loved him, and the other because he was like family.
"Can we go and see him Dad?" Megaman asked with a bright expression, Lan standing beside him.
Dr. Hikari looked down at his two boys with a small smile, "He actually requested for Searchman to be the first to see his daughters, after that the rest of you can go and see them."
The Sharon Navi blushed faintly, "he wants me to be the first to see them?" the redhead thought to himself, hearing Raika chuckling lightly. "Go on Searchman, everyone knows that you have been waiting to see him." The bluenette folded his arms, moving to stand beside Pride.
Inside the room where Protoman gave birth, he was lying against the bed, looking down at his twins with a relaxed expression, having his helmet off so that he could see them better, "I'm glad that you are both here now… It's been a long wait for the past 9 months…" He whispered, not noticing the navi that just entered the room.
"Protoman." The red armored navi perked up at the voice and turned to look, seeing Searchman standing by the door. The Sharon quietly made his way over and kneeled beside the bed, "How are you feeling? You want me to get you anything?" Searchman asked, wanting the male to feel as comfortable as possible.
"I'm fine Searchman, really." Protoman chuckled lightly and moved so that his daughters were more visible. Both of them were quite like their mother, having silver hair, though one having a slightly darker tone than the other, both were sound asleep, cooing lightly as they were.
Searchman smiled warmly as he looked down at the girls, he almost felt a sense of pride inside of him, as if he and Protoman's souls connected for a moment, "They are both so beautiful…" he paused and looked at the silver haired male, "What are their names?"
Protoman gave a light smile before looking back to his twins, "Their names are Minuet and Primo." He stated, moving so that he could have a better hold on the two, "Would… You like to hold one?" there was a noticeable blush on the swordsman's face then, not bothering to care however.
Searchman hesitantly nodded, moving to carefully hold one of the newborns in his arms, gently cradling her. He sighed lightly as he looked down at the child in his arms before speaking, "I promise that I'll protect both you and your sister, and I will never let your mother down…" the redhead moved to kiss Protoman's cheek, only for the silver haired navi to move, making them share a slightly unintentional kiss together.
Neither of them pulled away for the moment, closing their eyes and sharing the kiss, pulling away after a bit, Protoman whispering to Searchman softly, "I love you… You Sharon goofball…"
"And I love you…" Searchman paused for a moment, "My strong marigold eyed love…"
Well, that's the end of the story…
