Chapter 12: Together Again

Forest Clan

Foxstar pulled back and asked, "What?"

"I'm your father," Shadowstar calmly said.

"But my father died years ago," Foxstar said, denying the fact her father is standing in front of her.

"I'm sorry if I wasn't there for you when you need me, but I was the leader before I fell in love with your mother. I wished to see you grow up, but I have a responsibility here and Rainstar is the leader for Forest Clan. I would have asked her to come stay with us, but the previous leader, Flamestar, died before I can asked her," the dark tom sighed, heavily.

"No, this can't be true," the red leader backed up. "My father died before I was born."

She turned and ran away.

"Wait, Foxstar," the leader of Jungle Clan called out, but she disappeared in the deep jungle.

Neo Clan

It was early in the morning, and Redheart was already up. She looked around and saw Darkshadow guarding the entrance.

"Good morning, Darkshadow." she greeted him.

"Good morning, Redheart. What are you doing up so early," he asked.

"I'm just going for a walk, that's all," the rouge said.

"Would you like company?"

"No, thank you. I would like to be alone."

"Oh, no you don't," a deep voice said. The two turn and saw Redfang walking towards them. "I'll come with you, if you want to or not. You don't know if Dark Clan is out there ready to attack."

"I can take care of myself," Redheart stated. Redfang move closer to the rouge until he was near her ear.

"I going to ask you questions and you'll answer it," he hissed in her ear. She growled, but didn't say anything. The black-and-red she-cat turned around and started walking. The blonde tom followed her until they were deep in the forest.

"So, what do you want to know," she asked.

"Who's Crimsonstar," Redfang asked. It was on his mind ever since she said the name. Redheart stop and looked around the forest, avoiding Redfang.

"I cannot tell you the answer to that question," she stated to say.

"Why not?"

"Because I can't."

"That's not a good answer. Now, tell me." Redheart was getting irritated with his demands.

"I'll tell you when all the chosen cats are gathered by tomorrow night. Until then, I will not say a word about Crimsonstar."

The black-and-red she-cat turned and walked away.

Dark Clan

'Good, she is alone. Now is the perfect time to kill her,' Gianttail thought. He saw Redheart going to the river that she, Stardust, and Blackcrow crossed. Gianttail hid behind the bushes near her. He watched her just in case if other cats come.

Redheart sighed, "What am I going to do, Father?"

'Why is she talking to herself,' he thought.

"Why, Father? Why Stardust and most of all, why me? Why do I have to be the one? Why must I be alone?"

Redheart lay down and close her eyes. Giantail was about to attack her, but hesitated by her words.

'Why must I be alone?' Though words keep repeating over and over again.

'Is that how she feels? Wait, what am I saying? She's the enemy.' He's trying to convince himself that. Suddenly, the bushes moved, making the white tom to hide.

Across the river, Stardust came out of the bushes with Blackcrow and Blackpaw. Stardust looked around and saw Redheart.

"Redheart," Stardust shouted. Redheart's eyes snapped opened and jump to her feet. She looked around and saw Stardust.

"Stardust, you scared me," Redheart said.

"Sorry, how are you, sister," Stardust asked.

"Sister," Blackcrow echoed.

"Yes, I'm Stardust's sister," Redheart answered.

The bushes shook, making the cats turned. Redfang came into view.

"Well, what a surprise? It's good to see you again, old friend," the blonde tom hissed.

"Hello, Redfang," Stradust calmly said. "What brings you here?"

"Just looking for some answers for this rouge," Redfang spatted at Redheart.

"I already told you that I'm not going to talk about him until tomorrow night," she said. "Tell Blackrose and Fairypaw to come to the Gathering at moonhigh."

"Why? Can't you tell them yourself," the Neo Clan's deputy asked.

"I'm going back with Stardust and Blackcrow," she stated.

"When," Blackcrow asked.

"Now, if you want."

Redfang glared at her. In her eyes, it sparkled in amusement. The Neo Clan's deputy turned and leave without a word.

"So why are you coming back with us," Blackpaw asked.

"Because I want to spend time with my brother," she stated.

Blackpaw nodded and didn't say anything else. They walked towards the camp. Redheart saw Foxstar and Shadowstar talking. Bluefang and Cloudfur were the first to notice Redheart and ran up to her.

"Hi, Redheart," Bluefang shouted.

"Hello to you, too; Bluefang, Cloudfur," she greeted.

"How are you," Cloudfur asked.

"You saw me yesterday," the black-and-red she-cat stated.

"I know but I want to know if you were okay or not," Cloudfur said.

"Yes I'm okay, silly. Now, I'm tired and want to take a nap after I speak to Foxstar and Shadowstar. Good bye." She walked away and towards the two leaders.

Foxstar looked up and saw Redheart walking towards them.

"Hello, Redheart," Foxstar greeted.

"Welcome back," Shadowstar welcomed.

"Thank you. I would like to ask you if I can have Stardust and Blackcrow for tomorrow night," Redheart asked.

"Of course, but may I asked why," Foxstar asked.

"I need to tell them about Crimsonstar," the black-and-red rouge answered.

"Already?" Foxstar was surprised. It was too early to tell them.

"Yes. It may have slipped out of my mouth when I was speaking to the three Neo Clan cats," Redheart said sheepishly.

"Well, it's too late to take it back. Do you want me to come with you," the Forest Clan leader asked.

"Yes. I need help explain to them who Crimsonstar is," Redheart breathed out relief.

Shadowstar sat quietly, listening to their conversation. He said that he'll look over the two clans.

"You must rest. You look like you are going to drop at any minute," Shadowstar stated. "Go and find Clouddfur. Tell him you need a place to sleep."

Redheart nodded and went to find Cloudfur. Cloudfur was sitting with Bluefang, Blackcrow, and Stardust. The black-and-red rouge towards the warriors, Stardust was the first to see her.

"Hey, Redheart," Stardust greeted.

"Hey," Redheart greeted back. She lick his ear and sit next to him.

"So, how was it being with the Neo Clan," Bluefang asked.

"The same as here, except for the way Blackrose and Redfang glares at me. I can see that they really not happy with me there. I feel at home with you guys, especially with Stardust," Redheart said.

"And why is that Stardust special to you? Is it because you love him," Cloudfur teased.

"Yes, I love him. He is my brother after all," the rouge stated.

"Wait, your brother," Bluefang repeated.

"Yes, her brother. I didn't even know until a few days ago," Stardust stated.

Before anyone can say more, Redheart made a big yawn.

"Let's go find you a place to sleep," Cloudfur said. He got up. The rouge followed in suit. She stumbled and Stardust was at her side. The calico toms lead them to where Cloudfur, Bluefang, Blackcrow, and Stardust were sleeping at. Once she settled in the nest, she asked Stardust to sleep with her. He agreed. He lay down next to her. He listened to her breathing. A few minutes later, he also fell asleep.

Again sorry for the long wait. I hope to post the next chapter sooner. Well that's it. Bye.
