And Compliments for 2015…

I have been on leave, away from my PC and my 14 year old yorkie passed away. Hence I was not able to write for the last few weeks.

But do not fear… I will continue this special story and I will complete it in due time…

Here's the next chapter. Enjoy…

"Agent Gibbs."

Gibbs awoke with a start. He rapidly blinked a few times to clear his vision and get his bearings.

"Agent Gibbs, we're at Bethesda. I'm going to help you out of the medivac and onto a gurney."

Gibbs looked around the medivac and demanded, "Where's Tony?"

"Calm down, Agent Gibbs." The paramedic said. "Agent DiNozzo's been taken to the ER. He was stable throughout the flight."

"Take me to him." Gibbs ordered as he moved to stand up.

Shit!

His side exploded in pain, making him light headed and extremely nauseous. He felt the paramedic wrap her arm around his back as she pulled his other arm around her shoulder, holding him securely.

"Easy does it, Agent Gibbs. No more sudden moves. Okay?"

"What the hell did you put in that IV?" he demanded when he was finally able to speak again.

"Painmeds of course. Now hold onto me." That said she and the other paramedic helped Gibbs off the medivac. Each step he took was agony.

Shit Jethro.

Don't you dare pass out!

"Take me… to Tony."

DiNozzo needs me…

Gotta be there for him…

"As soon as you're on the gurney." She said.

"Ah hell." Gibbs growled.

All he wanted was to see that Tony was getting the care he needed.

But he was so groggy and the pain was pretty bad so he let her settle him on the gurney and closed his eyes as he was wheeled into the ER.

Once there he again demanded, "Where's my agent?"

"Over there." The paramedic pointed to his right.

Tony was surrounded by doctors and nurses. They had removed his clothes and were examining his various injuries. He was still unconscious and looked pale and cold.

Come on DiNozzo.

You just hang in there.

You're going to get through this.

You hear me…

Gibbs didn't know if it was the pain, the fever or the pain meds causing through his veins that made his eyes fill with tears.

Tony…

I love you, son…

Tony felt hands touch him, poke and prod him. Pain sizzled through his body which felt like an ice cube one second and a burning inferno the next. And he felt so heavy, so weighted down. His chest was so tight, his throat so dry.

Mmm, am I in hell?

His mind slipped to a scene from the Devil's Advocate.

Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves…

Fire and misery everywhere?

No… I think I'm…

Someone touched his shoulder and all further movie references died instantly.

"Argh…" he silently cried out as he slipped back into the black abyss of unconsciousness.

"Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs. Oh my God. Gibbs." Abby cried as she raced into Gibbs' ER cubicle.

He barely had time to run his hand over his face and wipe his tears away.

"Ms, you're not allowed in here." A nurse warned.

But Abby ignored her. "Oh, I was so scared and worried when I woke up this morning. I knew something was wrong. First I thought you were hurt. But then I knew it was Tony. I'm so glad you had the NCIS bag with my tracker in it. When we get back to the navy yard, I'm giving all of you subcutaneous trackers."

"Abby." Gibbs tried to interrupt. His head was aching for some reason.

"When the satellite moved into position and I found you, I was so relieved. Then I saw your anguish on the satellite feed and I was so heartbroken. I've never seen you like that Gibbs."

"Ms, really. You need to leave right now."

"First McGee told me Tony had been attacked by a wolf. Then he said that you were also hurt and I knew that I had to get here. I had to see how bad it is. I had to be here for you two. I … I…" Abby stammered tears filling her eyes.

"Abs," Gibbs sighed. "I'm okay."

"No you're not." Abby replied. "And neither is Tony." They both turned to look at Tony.

"But he will be." Gibbs stated.

"Yes. Yes. He will be. He would never disobey one of your orders, right? Of course not!"

"Abs." Gibbs said.

"He will be okay. He has to be okay."

"I'm calling security if you don't leave this minute." One of the doctors stated.

"Abs, get me a coffee and charge this for me." Gibbs said, handing his mobile phone over to her. "I'll need it when I'm done here."

"Oh, okay." Abby said. A moment later she turned to the nurse and doctor and pointed her finger at them. "You better take good care of him or else."

Then she turned back to Gibbs leaned forward and kissed him gently on the cheek.

"I'll be back soon." She whispered.

Gibbs nodded his head and watched her leave. Then he turned his gaze back to Tony. But he was no longer there.

"Where's DiNozzo?" he demanded.

"Agent Gibbs you really need to calm down." The nurse said. "Your vitals are all over the place."

"Agent DiNozzo's being prepped for surgery." The doctor said. "I don't know any more at this time and suggest that you calm down."

Calm down?

Calm down!

What the hell is wrong with you people?

How can I be calm when my boy's fighting for his life!
