'There, I think that is all the names cracked.' Clarity sighed. Its two am on a Sunday morning. Some of us had gone to sleep, like Tonkin, others stayed up trying not to wake them and cracking the names. Tonkin snored a little and Clarity and I couldn't help but giggle.
'Come with me.' I say to Clarity. We both get up and we walk to Luke's room, my brother was out so we had the place to ourselves.
'We will get this people save.' I say to Clarity. She looked at me doubtfully.
'Do you remember the day, the day we were taken?' there was pain in her voice. I knew she remembered it well. So did I. I believe that day will stay with us.
It was late into the school day and myself, Chloe and Toby were all walking down the streets. Dauntless members when running by. One little boy, William, stayed behind. Toby looked at him like he asked him a question.
'Some factionless men are taking children from each faction. Children whose parents knew a woman, Beatrice Prior was it. You might want to go home quickly.' William said. Beatrice, I knew who she was. I looked at Toby and he, back at me.
'That woman, she is our aunt.' Toby said quickly. Chloe didn't know this so shock crossed her face.
'Then, I would suggest you go home and lock the doors behind you.' William ran away to his mother. Toby grabbed my hand and I took Chloe's. I let Toby lead the way as I didn't know where I was going. The biggest house at the end of the street was my father's house. Due to his high name he is the leader of Erudite. Mother was out on the porch, screaming to us. I couldn't pick up the words but Toby stopped and started to shove Chloe and myself to a different street. Abnegations. Blood was already on the floor along with a child and a few men. Chloe gasped and fell to the floor. Some women screamed and at the end of the street were two factionless men. Grinning in my direction. An Abnegation mother took Chloe and me into her house. Toby had already started running in their direction. The mother who took us was crying. Chloe looked up to her.
'Why are you crying, you saved us.' Chloe asked. The woman stiffed and smiled weakly at her.
'Because my child…they killed my child.' She busted into tears again and Chloe slowly hugged her. We stayed silence as the doors to the houses where being opened. Finally the factionless where outside the door to the mothers house. The door bust open from the kick. Seeing me instantly they grinned, ear to ear. The mother screamed and cried but they didn't listen. When they had enough of her screaming, one kicked her and put a gun to her head. I stopped fighting them when I heard the gun shot. I entire world, frozen. They grabbed me. I remember Chloe looking at the dead body. I remember seeing my brother, unconscious on the street. I don't remember anything else.
I remember waking up in my cage. Some were half full with children; others were still waiting to be filled. A small boy, all bloody was next to me and a girl. The boy was dressed from candor and the girl was from Dauntless. It would explain the small scar on her face. Her knuckles were bruised. She saw me staring. She climbed to the edge of the cage and put her hand through the bars. I placed my hands in hers and she squeezes it lightly. She smiled at me and said her name was Lucy. The boy next to me was Tonkin. I knew that they knew my aunt in some way or another. They filled all the cages within the hour. Two children were outside from the factionless where with them.
'Listen up, this will be you if you don't say what we want to know, this will be you.' They took the children and stabbed them. Once the children were dead, their bodies didn't move. They stayed there for the rest of the two years.
