Chapter Thirteen: Naruto

Kagome drunk some of her water as she sat done underneath a tree. After their last mission, twin brother Sasuke suggested they train together since it's been so long since they had.

Sh assumed it was because they both had been too busy with training and missions lately to hang out. She suggested inviting Naruto and Sakura, but Sasuke just stated they'll see them again tomorrow.

After that, they went home, and for over an hour, she was training with Sasuke in their backyard.

She stretched some more while grumbling. "Stupid Sasuke only wanted to train so he could get revenge."

He had eaten the last of her fruity pebbles the week before, so she had gotten her revenge by dying his hair hot pink.

She drunk some more of her water while she looked at Sasuke when she saw him sit next to her.

"Do you like Naruto?" He asked causing her to choke on her water and blush some.

"Wh-what? Where did that come from?" Kagome blushed more when she heard herself stutter.

Sasuke looked at her blankly. "You kept glancing at the dope throughout the mission. If you were trying to hide it from me, you weren't doing a good job."

Kagome pouted. "Fine, I like him happy now?"

"Why do you even like that idiot?"

"He's sweet, funny, loyal, ambitious and so much more. Oh and he's not an idiot," Kagome said defending Naruto.

Sasuke just smirked before standing up and walking inside through the back door.

The next day all of Team 7 were walking together to the training grounds. It was earlier in the morning, and they were going to meet Kakashi-sesnsei there.

"How about we get ramen later?" Naruto asked Kagome.

"Sure." Kagome smiled.

Naruto turned back to Sasuke and Sakura. "What about you guys?" He asked them.

Sasuke hned and nodded. Sakura was going to say no but since Sasuke said yes, she said yes.

Naruto grinned before turning back around.

Sasuke was walking casually with Sakura beside him. He was ignoring her while she was trying to strike up a conversation. He was secretly watching Kagome and Naruto. They were walking up ahead talking to each other. From what he heard from the conversation they were discussing ideas on how to see Kakashi-sensei without his mask.

'It's a good thing the dope is so dense. Not only has he not noticed Kagome's crush but he's still strung up on Sakura.' He smirked slightly, not wanting Sakura to see when he saw Naruto look at Sakura.

He decided there was nothing for him to worry about as they walked onto the training grounds.

"Don't you think they look adorable?" Sasuke heard Sakura say. He swallowed his food and looked at her questionably. "Who?" He asked before taking another bite of his food.

"Kagome and Naruto," Sakura said with a smile. "He's been trying to gain the courage to ask her out." She said and blinked when she heard Sasuke choke on his food. "Are you okay Sasuke-Kun?"

Sasuke waved off her question. "What do you mean he's been trying to gain the courage to ask her out? I thought he was still in love with you." He said looking at her.

"I've been helping him for a few weeks now," Sakura said sheepishly.

Sasuke squinted his eyes and turned to face forward in thought. Thinking back on the last missions, he had thought Naruto was looking at Sakura but looking back now he realized he was really looking at Kagome.

'Damn, so the dope is a problem after all.'
